Oh, it's an EXCELLENT book. Very insightful, actually. What didn't you like about it?
I loved it! I mean, it was rather terrifying, but it is an excellent book.
The main reason that ppl dont like the book is that its not that great of a story if yoiu cant see the meaning behind it... or you just dont feel like thinkin enough to get the meaning... I personaly found it to be an awsome book...
Yep. Great stuff. Kind of along the same lines as 1984 and Brave New World. All three books were very good.
I absolutely loved that book.
Very touching.
I loved that book i thought it was SUPER GREAT
Honestly, I cant stand that book.

I thought it was rather predictable, and the characters and dialogue were both unrealistic and rather flat.

I do understand the idea behind 'Farenheit 451', but I thought it was too extreme and just not put across correctly. This could have theoretically been quite a good book that sent a very good point, but I think it just fell short.
ray bradbury is the best author ever...he writes great short stories...my favorites are "the fruit at the bottom of the bowl" and another one about a house in The Martian Chronicles...i can't remember the title, but it was abouts some house from an Edgar Allen Poe story. and Fahrenheit 451 is good too.
Was that The fall of the House of Usher? Sorry, my mind is drawing a blank...I think that's Bradbury but then again it sounds like Poe. Bleh!

I loved Fahrenheit 451! Someone said it before and it's true: it is like Brave New World and 1984 both of which I love. Trust me, if you liked the ideas and the society behind Fahrenheit 451 you'll love those!!!

BNW: Aldous Huxley
1984: George Orwell
Yeah, it wasn't that great story-wise, but I loved the idea and meaning behind it. It was really insightful and gave me a lot to think about. I still think about it sometimes whenever censorship comes up. There was especially this part when they talk about how in the effort to please everybody and not offend anybody, how literature and the like gets dumbed down and loses meaning. It just reminded me a lot of whats going on in today's times.
GAH! Frenheight 451 was amazing! And it was written just like Bradbury intended THAT was the whole point! It was SUPPOSED to be over the top! OUCH! This hurts... man I am so dissapointed by this whole book forum... I mean books. Real books you guys Frenheight 451 is an enduring book.

I loved Brave New World I've never actually finished 1984. Look into em! They're both good.
i liked it alot, the details, the truths in it. and to think how long ago this was written...but i loved it completely...only thing i didnt lyk was all the assignments we had to do about it in school....>.<;;;;

I really enjoyed analyzing it, though last year I was required to do so for the fourth time in my school career.

The extremism of the idea was meant to turn you off from the idea, not the book itself.

Bradbury did an excellent job instilling terror in those who love literature and curiosity in those who don't.
i luved it! i just read Fahrenheit 451 for my summer read. Although sometimes it was hard to understand, i luved the moral that Bradbury was putting through. I guess u should think more about what the author is trying to say rather than the story.
