Introduction:

Ever since I joined Gaia, I've wanted to open up a minishop. I love drawing, and I love it when something I've done is in someone elses sig. It gives me a warm happy feeling.

Since my original idea hasn't caused much of a splash yet, we'll try another one. *grin* Shower scenes. Woo!

So I'm either a fourth of the way to my OMG hat with pure gold, or getting fairly close with items. ^^

News:

03/07: HO-s**t, I made it work! Thank you to borobdin for his imagemap explaination!! Stay tuned for when I finish the other images to decorate my posts. sweatdrop As well as finishing up my orders. Heh.
03/06: Working on a new layout for my shop, but the stupid 'see my posts' doesn't work all the way. :S
02/17: Send off my portfolio to Sheridan. ninja Not gaia related, but still coo'.
01/21: Going to be away from my computer on the weekend, so I'm finishing up the orders that I have trades for now. n__n
01/17: Established a bit firmer pricing on the adding random items. smile
01/04: Grand re-opening. wink I should be able to do these for the next two months or so...

FAQ

1. Why animation supplies?

Well, I love to animate, and that's what I hope to be doing as a career. I took a summer intensive in animation, and I'll be applying to schools again for next year. Right now I'm in an art school where I hope I will be able to put together a kick arse portfolio.

2. How do I set up a photobucket account?

Good question, since I don't offer hosting. *grin* Go to Photobucket and click the 'Sign up' button in the top right of the screen.

On the next screen you have to type in the screen name that you want, a password, your email, zip code or postal code or whatever, your age, and tell them male or female.

Make sure the email is valid, because they send the confirmation to it. You can only have one account per email address, but it's pretty easy to sign up for more hotmail addresses.

The postal code that I use, so as not to give away my address is H0H 0H0. That's right, Santy Claus'! Nice, hey? I'm not sending spam to anyone by accident.

3. What on earth is top peg and bottom peg?

0___0 I don't understand the controversy over this, but my animation teacher was all about bottom peg, which means your registration pegs are on the bottom of your animation disc.

4. Why isn't there a more than one shower scene yet?

Well, I've drawn a second one twice now, and it looked a wee bit flamboyant each time. wink

Post 4: Rules.

1. DO NOT take these images. Like other shop owners, I have spent a long time on them and it would be very saddening to see someone just take them. Don't alter them, resize them, or do anything. You will be reported to a mod.

2. DO NOT direct link. Setting up a photobucket account is easy, and only takes a few minutes. Your ISP might even have space for you to use to make a webpage, and you can store your images in there. I will change my links every week or so to discourage this.

3. Do NOT PM me, please post in the thread.

4. After you've posted your order, start the trade for the correct amount. Title animation supplies orders 'Animation supplies' and shower scenes 'Shower Scenes'- WITH THE PAGE NUMBER. Ones not titled will be consdered donations. I will not confirm the trade until I have PMed you your order.

5. Even if I'm not online, feel free to post your orders and start the trade. I'm usually online every day. smile

Order form for the Shower Scenes.

ORDER FORM:
[User]: Your screen name.
[Picture]: Picture of your avvie 'naked' if you'd rather.
[Total]: The price.

With the shower scenes, it's important that you un-equip everything on your avvie THAT YOU DON'T WANT IN THE SHOWER, or post a picture of your avvie gaian nekkid. Make sure you don't just direct link from the profile, as those pictures seem to break as soon as you dress up your avvie.

You CAN, however, keep on tails or head items. Those I can add with little problem.

THESE COST 500G.

Also, you can have items leaning up against the shower, for a bit more gold:

-For something that won't move, the price is 600g.

-For something that you DO want to move, it'll start at 700g. That's adding moving text like in the penguin example in the next post, or I did a chain swishing side to side. For anything really complex, it'll be a bit more.

-Please include a picture of the item in question, even if it's another picture of your avatar nakie wearing/holding it. I need the reference pictures as I don't own every item on Gaia. Though donations would be nice. U____U Heh.

Orderform for supplies:

There are many things that any animator needs. Firstly, you need a peg board so that when you draw, all of your pictures line up. These range from the simplest which is just a piece of plastic, to more elaborate setups with light tables in them and metal pegs.

These two are the simplest. They come in two varieties, top peg and bottom peg. The choice of which one you use is up to you. The paper is included.
10g [BASIC PEGBOARD]

This is the next step up, wooden animation discs. These have a clear glass area where you can put a light to shine through. It is held in with scotch tape.
25g[WOODEN DISC, TOP or BOTTOM PEG]

The paper, if you'd like some on there, is 5g extra.
30g[WOODEN DISC WITH PAPER, TOP or BOTTOM PEG]

This is the ultimate, plastic animation discs. The peg board is actually removable, and is also a ruler. The glass is actually attatched to the plastic, so there's no fear of it falling out.
50g[SNAZZY DISC, TOP or BOTTOM PEG]

The Robo Sketch is perfect for doing life drawings in. It's newsprint, and since it's from the dollar store, incredibly cheap.

Very important item for an animator to be carrying around with all times, this sketchbook is bound like a book and lies flat when you open it up. The paper is also a bit heavier than normal computer paper, so it's much nicer to draw on.

These pencils can be bought singly, in sets of four, and in sets of six. They also come in a range of types: 2H, H, 2B, 4B, 6B, and 8B. You may mix and match the shorter pencils with the full ones, as well as the types.

10g per pencil, 35g for four and 50g for six. [4 or 6 PENCIL CASE with short 4b, 6b, 8b, 2b etc.]

Col-erase pencils are basically pencil crayons that can be erased. They don't smudge, and you can draw loosely in one colour, switch to a different one and tighten it up, then switch again as many times as you need. There are twelve different colours of col-erase pencils currently offered, in order of left to right: dark green, purple, light green, blue, red, light blue, black, yellow, orange, pink, light brown and light pink.

Conte is sort of a cross between charcoal and chalk. It's harder than charcoal, and doesn't smudge as badly as either charcoal or chalk. You can get some very nice different lines from it, as well as different values depending on the amount of pressure you put on it. They can be rubbed the full length to give you quick shading, or sharpened to a point for fine detail work. I wouldn't recommend sharpening them, however... The point doesn't stay too long. The colours are, from top to bottom: black, light brown, dark brown, and bistre.
