I have to dissagree with you there >.>

Dangerous Lunatic

Neil Gaiman is so good at sarcasm and fantasy...although the eroticism drives me nuts occasionally.

W00t for him and Douglas Adams.

GROUP dominates you all. stare

And yes, Neverwhere was awesome. I intend to read more of his stuff.
Neil Gaiman is my patron saint since 1997. His Sandman series is one of the best pieces of comic literature in this world and should be stored in the Vatican archives alongside Bernini Michaelangelo. I'm not going to start critisizing because it's a pasttime that'd keep me up for hours... in short, there are no words. It is a MUST READ.

I personally loved his 'Good Omens' collaboration with Terry Pratchett (I still keep that book behind a special glass case at home). Two fantastic authors, uniting to create a book! I nearly got a heart attack when I first heard about it. sweatdrop It's truly a jewel in fantasy-fiction (and religious parody--who can resist?).

Amalake--please, don't spam, kids. It's BAD for you. At least read about a certain author before coming to a thread about him/her and spawning your mindless opinion. It's called "ignorance", and most people on this planet don't find it at all attractive. Make your opinion worth our replies, next time.
I love Neil Gaiman, and I'm planning on reading his Sandman comic soon...
As to the poll, i'll have to say American Gods is my fave.
I must agree with derSion when he sits and lavishly praises the Sandman series. It really is that good.

I also loved Stardust.
I've read Coraline and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman..I thought they were both ALRIGHT..I dunno, I just didn't like it that much for some reason. Some parts in Good Omens were really funny and sarcastic but I don't think I even understood or "got" half of the references in the book that were meant to be funny.. sweatdrop
Neverwhere is one of my favourites, and his comics are pretty great too. Yay for Delirium. <3

I love Delirium. Sometimes she's a philosopher.
Delirium
Our existence deforms the universe. That's resonsibility.

Delirium
I like airplanes. I like anywhere that isn't a proper place.

I like in-betweens.

...And sometimes she's just strange...
Delirium
I am following my fish.

Delirium
Have you ever spent days and days and days making up flavors of ice cream that no one's ever eaten before?

Like chicken and telephone ice cream?

Green mouse ice cream was the worst. I didn't like that at all.
Low Key Lyesmith and the marquis de Carabas are my lovers.

Anyway.
American Gods is my favourite, mostly because I have a slight obsession with Norse mythology...
Neverwhere is a close second. Other than that, I've only read Stardust and Smoke and Mirrors, which were both good, but I really prefer his longer, more involved work.

Actually, I've just borrowed all of the Sandman series from a friend...must go read it now...
Neil Gaiman is the kind of writer our generation needed to give old school mythologies a good dose of CPR. Ever since reading Sandman and American Gods the concept of gods like Odin, Loki, Bast, Anansi, and so on seem far more plausible and intriguing. He's definitely tapped into a neglected core of the human heart with his skills.
I'm reading through the Sandman series at the moment and I love it heart I thought Good Omens was great ( Aziraphale is so sweet) 3nodding
