Sure, it's fun to race cars. But have you considered the adverse effects they're having on Gaia?

The biggest, clearest problem is pollution. Even if only 10,000 of Gaians own and use cars, that makes 10,000 cars using natural reasourses such as oil and creating exhaust. Gaia's skies have always been crystal clear, but in only a few years, we will see the results of heavy traffic pollution. Our air will not be so clean and clear. We will have to wash our houses of that thin, grey layer of soot. And, the greatest fear; what will these fumes do to Gaia's ozone layer?

Another concern is roadkill. True, road kill is always promptly cleaned up, so we never need to see or smell rotting cow carcasses, but that shouldn't make us forget that they exist. There are 10 cow crossings in every race. If only 10,000 Gaians play the game once, and if only half of that population hits a single cow, 5,000 cows will be killed. Would you like to be the one to explain that to Rancher Bill?
Cows, however, aren't the only thing that Gaians carelessly run down. The races encourage us to hit zombies. Admittedly, they can probably just get up and walk away again, but where will this 'fun' stop? Will we run over n00bs next? Trolls? Rule-obeying, yet annoying Gaians? We must think about how these actions will effect our judgement.

Finally, we must consider the heavy metal waste that cars create. What will happen to your original car when you upgrade (after Cars gets out of the beta stage)? Will we see a landfill spring up in Akea? Or will we perhaps start collecting scrap metal in towns as well as paper and flowers? Already, all of Gaia's lakes are polluted with old tires.

This is a very important issue, as you can see. Please, join me in protesting this new mini-game. Save Gaia's natural spaces.
