Design any sort of characters you like! Fantasy, anthro, alien -- anything goes at the Cabbage Patch! Every month we also have themes you can participate in, to spark your creativity!
Established Breedable Shop
Most Breedable concept threads don't result in active shops. It's an unfortunate fact that many simply fail to generate a lot of interest and sales. The Patch has been active since February and shows no sign of stopping! Every month we have events for new players to join, growths of our current children, and lots of RP!
Work alongside some very talented artists!
Our staff includes some very talented folk! Natsube, EmperialTeal, Jyoti, Shigure San, and you! We also have some fantastic guest artists, such as Ebony Dragon and Oh!1945!
Pricing Control
All Patch artists are allowed to set their own prices for customs, so you decide what your work is worth! You also have freedom to do your own pet trades. We use a special system for sales: for every Basic (flatsale, raffle, or other low-priced public event) child you create, you can do one Premium (custom order, auction, pet trade, etc!), and how that premium child is sold is up to you.
100% of Profits
That's right, unlike most shops, we don't take -anything-. The reason is that I, the shopowner, already have all the items I want/need, and I started this shop just as a place to be able to draw great characters and have fun and help other artists earn gold! I'm not in it for the money, I'm in it for the chance to work alongside great artists and roleplayers. So you can keep every gold piece you earn!
Sale Control
At some shops, artists are workers to fulfill the shop's needs. At the Patch, it's the other way around. The goal of the shop is to work for you and facilitate your sales when you want to have them! If you want to draw a new kid, we'll work it into our schedule, not make you wait months and months before you can have that auction you want to do. We currently have a limit of ten children for staff artists, and if you're good and active about drawing growths, more can be negotiated!
We're also unusual because you can offer other artistic services via our Artist subforum in the guild. Some examples are items, pets, and guardian images. You can even offer full commissions! Your artist thread is a place for you to do anything you want.
Predrawns
Unlike most RP shops, at the Patch we offer both customized-as-they-grow and Predrawn children. Predrawn children have all the art drawn beforehand, so there's no need to worry about anything once you've finished the art. Predrawing can be a good way to just geot all the artwork out of the way beforehand. Then you don't have anything more to worry about further down the line!
Draw Your Own!
Finally, any artist who joins the Patch is completely welcome to draw their own child and join the RP! Or, if there's another artist in the Patch you'd like to have draw your kid, you're free to trade with them!
