Update

I'm sorry to everyone here. It's terrible that the shop had to close. HOWEVER, I bring some good news. I've relinquished control of the shop, and it will be reopening VERY soon, I mean within days. Any colorings that are owed, sill be grown to the adult stage with the best of my ability. The shop will be up permanently within a few days. Jenn who owned this shop temporarily will now be taking control permanently, and will be starting up within a few days. See you soon! <3

John won't be coming back to Gaia after this. After his mother's passing, he lost all interest in this website, I finally got full control of this shop. More things have happened to him since then. Our best friend lost her father in the March of this year, right around the time of his mother's passing, so it brought up a lot of harsh memories. Also, he came out to his father, and well, he didn't take it so well. So he was living with his friend for almost three whole weeks. :/

But now, I have control of the shop, and will be opening it within days!

    Any questions that may not have been answered in the first post, will be probably be answered here, or will be reinforced!

    + Can I have a Mythological Creature for Free?
    No, you may not. Unless they are given out in a free raffle, or otherwise donated by one of the shop owners, to a person who has been around the shop bumping, and helping other owners, and has not been able to obtain a Mythological creature, one may, in the rare occassion, be donated to a certain member of the thread.

    + If you won't give me one, where can I find out about purchasing one?
    You may find out about the availability of a Mythological Creature, in the Availability Post of the First page, or under the Breeding / Customs / Bribest post. You may find out information about Auctions, Flat Sales, Free/Cheap Raffles, or links to events in the Availability post. So please check that, and wether Customs / Breeding / Bribes are open.

    + When will my Mythological Creature Grow?
    Your creature will grow when the colorist is not extremely busy and has time to. There aren't set times as to when your Creature may grow, however, issues may occur In Real Life, and you must just sit back and wait for things to slow down in the colorist's life, for your creature to grow.

    + Am I required to RP my Creature?
    You are not required to RP, however, RP is encouraged. RP can motivate a colorist to grow your Creature faster. RP also can get you perks like special discounts, familiars, or items for your Creature. So remember, RP is not required, however, it can come with its perks.

    + Do you accept Pet Trades?
    Yes, we accept pet trades, however, we would like to keep them to a minimum. If we're are not interested in your shop, we will not trade. I'm sorry to say this.

    + What're some shops you would trade with?
    We would like to do a pet trade with SOA, Soquili, Stardust, Kitsusagi.

    + Can I RP my Avatar and Or OC with my Creature?
    This has yet to be officially decided. However, for right now I assume that you may :3

    Back in ancient times when places had no names but the one's that described the land, lived myths. Near the Point of No Return are the violent terrains of the Fire Spitting Mountains and at the base of the mountains is Grand Forest, the home of the Hippogriffs.

    Hippogriffs were thought to have been a cruel joke played by the gods onto the Equines and Griffins. Those two races have been rivals and despised one another since the beginning of time and having bastards from a union between the two races only at added wood to the fire. The first Hippogriffs were exiled from mountains of the Griffins and the plains of the Equines, neither wanting to deal with the abomination. Their parents were never revealed and neither sides came to defense, they were more than eager to get rid of the evidence that an Equine and a Griffin had more than hatred between them.

    So the young creatures fled. They hid in the depths of the Grand Forest, unable to survive on the Fire Spitting Mountains where they been left to die. They had made their way into the center of the woods, searching and scavenging, barely surviving. They were only children.

    They wandered around eating what they could. Berries from various shrubbery, roots and sometime if they were lucky they had a chance at a squirrel, but it was difficult. They didn't know what to do and they were so young. The Hippogriffs grew bitter towards the Griffins and Equines, questioning they had even bothered with to be hatched with if both species disliked them so much?

    Wishing for a release from their painful life, the little ones were more than ready to surrender to nature and rest for eternity.

    It was three days before they smelled fresh grass and water, they leapt with joy. Running as fast as their coltish legs allowed, the younglings made for the center of the forest. There was a rushing of water as they neared. Not long after they arrived into a clearing. It was large and spacious and if you were to fly over the forest, you could see that the Grand Forest was so grand because of its circular shape with a wide clearing at the heart of it.

    Not knowing anything but they had arrived somewhere to rest, the little ones drank their fill, giddy that they didn't have to drink muddy water or drops of dews from leaves. There was a river and a waterfall. Caves surrounded the waterfall and the Hippogriffs quickly made their residence in the caves farthest from the loud fall.

    Soon, the animals of the forest gossiped of their new neighbors and before long, other abandoned Hippogriffs came to the clearing, which came to be called Haven.�

    The old storyteller looked over the little ones that had gathered around her. They had listened with an eagerness that brought joy to the old Hippogriff's heart. The story was not just a learning-tale but a true one a that. It was the tale of the founding of where all Hippogriffs had come to call home, making their own place in the mythical realm. Her eyes blurred as she thought about those difficult days in the forest wandering around with hunger and thirst prodding their minds. At the relief of when her nest-mates and she had found a place to reside.

    A fledgling climbed up the back of the old storyteller. They had nothing better to do than to listen to her tales for their wings were too weak yet to take them out of Haven. With a high voice, the little one demanded a tale of the world outside.

    Nodding her head, the old one smiled and began another a tale. A tale to give the little ones wings for their imaginations, to see what the elders of these mythological creatures saw and struggled to live within. A tale of adventure of other such magical creatures, experiencing their joys and sorrows. In their minds, the young ones flew on the wings of myths.

    As the old one's tale began to unravel, the young ones were told of a new species hidden throughout the land, and hidden quite well. Long since hidden from the world, the Phoenix was rumored to rise from the ashes and grace the land with a great calm. The 'Great Calm' was prophisized to be brought about by the 'burning of the ancient dust, an egg engulfed in flames, and the new life destined be born.'

    Currently, the Hippogriffs undergo Three Stages!

    1]. Egg-
    The egg stage is the first stage of your Hippogriffs life. Here is where nurturing and care comes in. Caring for your egg and Roleplaying using your own character, can bring your Hippogriff to grow in affection towards you and hatch sooner then one who is not cared for.


    2]. Child-
    Congratulations! Your egg has hatched and it can now fully be Roleplayed with. This is a good chance for you to gain perks in the shop, such as items, familiars, or other perks. The Hippogriff is no longer unisex, like the egg, and you can now easily distinguish between the two. The males seem to be a bit more fierce and full of pride, while the females seem more nurturing and caring.


    3]. Adult-
    All your hard work has finally payed off. If you've nurtured your Hippogriff, and he/she has come to love you, then you have gained its trust. It will not allow you to ride him/her! Roleplay during this stage can also get you familiars, items, and possible breeding slots when not opened. A way to get the breeding slots when not open, is to set up a romantic RP with another hippogriff, either of the same sex, or opposite sexes. If used with the same set, and breeding is sucessfull, there will be a bit of an extra charge, as special precautions must be taken in order to ensure your breeding comes out without a hitch!

    Finally, onto the availability of your Mythological Creature! Here you can find information and rules on upcoming, or current Flat Sales, Auctions, and Raffles!

Flat Sales!


    Flat Sales will probably occur at least once a month, if not more. The usual will be around two. Once in the beginning of the month and Once at the end of the month. They may be planned or unplanned.

    + What is a Flat Sales?
    A Flat Sale is a quick sale of a Mythological Creatures. They can come at any stage, but usually will start as eggs.

    + What is the price of a Flat Sale?
    The Flat Sale price is now being set at 8k per egg. You may only purchase one egg per Flat Sale.

    + I have dial-up, are there any measures taken to ensure that there is a fair chance at the Mythological Creatures?
    Yes. The way that a Flat Sale will be run, is to ensure that everyone has a chance. Although there will be some Speed Sales occurring, they will not be as often as the regular flat sales.

    + Explain the "Regular Flat Sales" please?
    The "Regular Flat Sale" will be put into use to help all those users with slower internet connection. It will be run through the shop mule. The way this "Regular Flat Sale" Works, is it involves either the Post Command "Roll Dice" or "Random Number".

    + How will Rolling Dice or Random Numbers help slower users?
    Well, this is how the Flat Sale works. The On Wings Of Myths account will state that the flat sale is open, and roll a SINGLE 100 sided dice. This will give you a number. Each user will now have 3 chances of rolling a Single 100 sided dice, or 3 random numbers. The person who either rolls and gets the same number or closest to the number at the end of the 5 minute round, will get first choice of eggs out of the Flat Sale Batch.

    + What if two or more people roll the same number, and they are the closest?
    Then both users will chose a creature they're interested in. The lineup for choosing in this case is determined by who rolled the closest number first. They are awarded the first choice, and then the second user will be allowed to chose.

Auctions!


    Here you can find the auction previews and information. Auctions will either happen in the thread or out of the thread. If in another thread on the Breedables Forum, a Link will be provided under this section of the post, as well as in the "News" section of the first page.

    + What can we bid for auctions?
    You can bid the following things: Donation Letters, Donation Items, Pure Gold, Nitemare / Angelic Headbands. We will not accept Commons, any other rares/uncommons not mentioned, or pre-aproved Event items. The only even items we may accept will probably be the Jacked up Shirt, Jacked up Pants, Jacked up Gloves, Jacked up Shoes, from 2003 or anything earlier then that.

    + What do you value this __insert item__ at?
    Offers will be valued at the current high for www.tektek.org

    + What if I don't have the gold to bid?
    Then I'm sorry, we do not want you bidding. If you don't have the items or gold to outbid somebody, ask a friend to co-own with you, and you both may bid. We do not want you discouraging any bidders, by saying, well "If I get outbid, Ill just bid this __insert item__." Please do not talk about your funds during an auction. If you wish to do so, take it to PMs

    + What do I do if I win an auction?
    Send the trade immediately, the tag will be edited and posted to reflect that you are the owner of the auctioned creature.

    + Where can I name the Creature?
    Please either PM the On Wings Of Myths account, with the name, or post it in the Naming Thread of the Guild,

    + Are there perks to autobuying?
    Yes, if an auction is autobought for a rather large amount, a free item, breeding, or Familiar will be rewarded. However, you do not get to choose. Not all auctions will have Autobuys, and when they do, and you auto for a large sum of money, we will probably reward you with a familiar of your choice.

    + How long will Auctions last for?
    Auction durations may vary, see that specific auction if you want to know.

    + Is there an anti-snipe rule?
    Yes, to ensure that there is no sniping 15 minutes before the end of the auction, a rule will be implimented. If you bid in the last 15 minutes of the auction, then the auction will be extended another 10 minutes.

    Raffles will occur during special events, auctions, or randomly in the thread or out of the thread. They will only occur out of the thread, if there is an Auction going on in another thread.

    Raffles will either be free or come with a small fee. Usually a max of 100 gold. Pure gold will be the only thing accepted for raffles.

    If you feel our prices are unfair or greedy, please give us a reason why, a legitimate reason as to why you feel this way, and then explain how much you believe these should be worth.     Not sure on what your custom hippogriff would cost, feel free to ask, but try your hardest to find out yourself. Customs will probably be offered once or twice a month, depending on wether Fallen or Minyain have anything going in In Real Life. Which automatically takes presidence over any Gaia matters.

    *= Cost my vary depending on the complications of the lineart edits. Full on Cosplays will be more expensive than simpler lineart edits.

    Welcome to the Breeding Section of the On Wings Of Myths Pet Shop! Here you can find out all your needs on how to successfully breed your Mythological Creatures!
    The Cost of Breedings will be about 25k. However, if there is an Angel or Demon involved in any of the breedings, it will cost 30k. Each owner must pay half of the breeding. Also, the payment for the breedings must be sent to the On Wings Of Myths account, and completed before the Breeding will occur.

    Each Breeding will result in three eggs. One egg per owner, and the other egg may be given to a friend.

    Breeding is not limited to Male x Female. Males are able to breed with other Males and Females are able to breed with Females. In order to do a same sex breeding, you must add 1k to your current total.

    The Breeding Chart is As Follows:
  • Hippogriff x Hippogriff = Hippogriff
  • Hippogriff x Angelic Hippogriff = Hippogriff with possibility of creating an Angel.
  • Hippogriff x Demonic Hippogriff = Hippogriff with possibility of creating a Demon.
  • Angelic Hippogriff x Angelic Hippogriff = Angelic Hippogriff
  • Demonic Hippogriff x Demonic Hippogriff = Demonic Hippogriff
  • Angelic Hippogriff x Demonic Hippogriff = Normal Hippogriff / Angelic Hippogriff / Demonic Hippogriff.

    Pet Trades will only occur as long as both parties are willing. There are certain shops that the colorists are very interested in obtaining pets from, and they are able to request a trade at any time.
