Hmm... Guess you wanna know how I found the Pandagon's huh?
Well... It actually happened the day I gave over the Breeding of Mystcats to Annalise...
Annalise had found this incredibly nice house! It was really big and had all the space a little Mystcat could want!
She'd asked me to come look at it with her and help her decide and I'd happily agreed!
We looked through the house and we both really loved it. Sure there was a little hole in the basement but nothing big. We could fix it!
So While Annalise worked out the deal with the previous owner I decided to explore the gigantic garden!
That was when I first noticed something was... well... different.
I had this feeling. I can't quite explain it... But it was as if something was pulling at me. I glanced around kind of unsure of what was going on. Was I going crazy? I really had the feeling someone... Or something was calling me.
That was when Annalise showed up behind me. "Oh so this is where you’re hiding!"
She'd almost scared me to death! Everything had been too quiet and I'd been so concentrated on the feeling I hadn’t heard her coming. I must have looked scared too as she continued with a worried look on her face. "Is everything Okay?" I grinned at her "Yeah sure! Everything is fine! You just surprised me is all." Content with my reply Annalise got a big smile on her face as she bounced up and down. "I got the house! We can move in tomorrow! Wanna come help me?" I laughed at her and nodded. "Sure!" So we left... though just before we exited the garden I turned to look toward a clutch of trees way down in the farthest corner of the garden. What was that feeling...?
The day after we where back! Big boxes of stuff and Mystcats running around our feet playing. Good thing some of the Mystcat owners had come to help or we'd never have gotten everything moved in there.
I'd just put a box of "How To Care For A Mystcat" books down in the living room and turned to go get the next when that feeling returned. It was much stronger than before and I just couldn’t help myself. I had to follow it.
So I turned walking out the big double doors to the porch and in to the garden. My path led me down to the small clutch of trees in the far end corner. I stopped as I reached the trees. It was very pretty down here but what was I doing here? With out really thinking about it I bent down by one of the trees and started digging in the dirt.
To my big surprise I actually managed to find something!
Not very deep down, nested between he roots of the tree I found something wrapped in a dirty old cloth. I removed the cloth to find a book that looked to be very very old.
It was in black leather with a silver marking that reminded me a bit of compass markings on old maps. At each tip of the "compass" was strange symbols in colorful design and under it all was written in pretty silver letters "The Pandagon Heart"
I felt spell bound as I slowly started to open the book... But once again I was pulled out of my little world by Annalise.
I could hear her yelling all the way down here but I couldn’t hear what she was saying. Though I clearly got the feeling that if she wasn’t so nice she would have been cursing.
I made my way back to the house (the book neatly tucked in to my bag by my side) and found Annalise chasing around after a Mystcat cub "Please come back here sweety! I don't want you getting lost!" She begged at the little one. I couldn’t help laughing until I noticed where it was heading. "It's running in to the basement!" I squeaked! That realization hit Annalise too and she too squeaked. "If he runs in to that hole we might never get him back!"
So we both chased after the cub in the basement and... yes you guessed it... he ran right in to the hole. "Damn!" I exclaimed as I hit my head against the wall in my attempt to catch him. Strangely... it didn’t hurt much. "Um... Dazza... you made another hole in the wall..." I heard Annalise say. I blinked looking up at her and then at the wall. Sure enough right where my head had hit the wall was a new hole. "Wha...?" I wondered getting up off the floor where I had fallen and walking to the wall. I took a good hold in the wall and tried to pull. It broke off as easy as pulling in paper. I looked at Annalise who was staring at me in shock. After all I was breaking her new house. "Well... At least now we can follow him." I said with a sheepish grin before following after the cub in to the hole. Annalise followed right after me and we where both amazed to find a big cave. Though we didn’t have time to think much about it as we heard the cub mewing and once again chased after him.
The cub led us around the cave in a wild chase and a lot of falling on our faces. But finally he stopped to dig at this one spot. Annalise picked him up and started motherly scolding him for running off.
I on the other hand was more interested in what the little one had found. I noticed a corner of something sticking up from the ground and decided to check it out.
Once I had gotten it all dug out, it turned out to be a small box carved in wood. It had writing and symbols carved in everywhere on it and on the lid was the same Symbol on as on the book. "What do you have there?" Annalise bent down to look and I showed her the box. I also told her about the book and how I had found it.
We where both rather amazed but we couldn’t just stand around there. We heard the others calling from upstairs and decided that I should take the box and the book and figure out what it was all about.
That evening (after we put all the Mystcats to bed) Annalise and I sat down by a table with the book and the box. Now we couldn’t contain our curiosity anymore!
I slowly opened the box and found... "Cards!?" Annalise stared in disbelief. I nodded "Just cards." I reached in to the box and picked out a beautiful purple card. Pandagon. It read in the upper left corner. And while I watched on the lower end of the card my name appeared! We both squeaked in surprise and I almost dropped the card in shock of seeing my name.
I then put the card on the table and reached for the book. Now I could finely open it and see what was in it. To my big disappointment I couldn’t understand any of it... It was just a bunch of weird writing.
It being late we both decided to go to bed. I took the card with me and placed it on my bed side table before I went to sleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night. At first I wasn’t sure what had woken me. Then I realized it had been some kind of noise. I reached over to turn on the night lamp and found out the noise that had awoken me was the crash of the alarm clock that had fallen on the floor. Now I was more awake. And to tell the truth actually a little scared... That was when I noticed the card was gone. All kinds of thoughts of monsters and murders went through my head and I was just about to jump out of bed and hurry to Annalise's room when I felt something touch my feet! I froze in fear eyes locked on the tail I could see poking out from under the bed covers at the end of the bed.
Slowly, with out taking my eyes off what ever it was, I reached over to grab a book of the bed side table and in one smooth motion lifted it high over my head, pulled the bed covers away and... was staring in to a pair of innocent eyes. It was the cutest creature I had ever seen!
That was when I realized the book in my hand was The Pandagon Heart. I looked at the book and then the creature. "Are you a Pandagon?" I asked softly. The creature just smiled at me. I placed the book in my lap and the little Pandagon crawled up to me and cuddled in to my side. Now I couldn’t help but smile and pet her gently.
I opened the book again and glanced though it. Now I noticed I could actually read some of it! Most of it was still just weird writing and symbols but I understood enough for it to make sense.
I sat there reading with the little Pandagon (who I named Arctic Flame because of her color and markings) by my side all night. And when morning came I barged in to Annalise's room too show her Arctic and tell her everything!
We realized all the card's must be little Pandagon's. And Annalise said that since I had found them it must be my job to take care of them. Though realizing I couldn’t do it all alone I decided to make it a little shop so everyone could enjoy the cute Pandagon's!
So here we are!
It’s all in the heart of the cards!
