So we all know why you stopped to look at this thread- for gold. You want gold- you want it now - and you want it easy.
Well I have the secret, oh yes, the SECRET to fast easy gold.

Wait wait! Don't run away yet. There are lots of good ideas on how you can make gold.

There are several simple ways to earn gold easily everyday.

Simple ways
1. Click on the sponsor ads.
2. Post a little each day.
3. Vote in polls.
4. Vote and comment in the art arena.
5. Beg in the charity forum.

The sponsor ads are on the front page of Gaia, to the left underneath your avatar. Clicking on each of these ads gives you anywhere from 20-50 gold, nobody is quite sure on the exact amount. wink
It's a nice daily boost- you can only collect gold like this once every 12 hours.

2. Post a little each day.
Posting in topics or posting new topics earns you gold, generally but not always about 10-20 gold per post.
Many factors effect how much or how little gold you get from each post.
Some seem to be-

  • the length of the post
  • the time it took for you to write it
  • how close your post is to your last post

and many others I'm sure we're not aware of yet. There has to be some mystery after all!

The amount of gold you can recieve each day due to posting in threads appears to be capped.
What does this mean?
This means that the more you post the less gold you will get. After you have posted many times you will notice the amount of gold you recieve is less.
The number will keep going down with each of your posts- until maybe you get 1 gold a post or even none at all. When this happens just wait a few hours and then try posting again- your posts will eventually go back to giving you more gold.
THIS IS NORMAL AND HAPPENS TO EVERYONE.
It is an attempt to keep Gaia fair, and it discourages botting.



3. Vote in polls.
These are special forms where a question is asked and you can pick your response. Responding to polls gives about 10 gold- but sometimes less. The same rules to posting apply to voting in polls- the more you do it the less you recieve.
You'll find polls in almost every forum of Gaia! But some of the best places to look for polls are in the Extended Discussion forum. 3nodding


4. Vote and comment in the art arena.
The Art Arena is a wonderful, fun, and easy way to get some gold too.
Click through the pictures to get a little bit of gold here and there and use the rating scale of 0-10 to rank them.
You also get a little bit of gold for leaving comments on the pictures.
Please remember to keep your comments relevant and on the subject of the art- you will be penalized for anything considered spam in the art arena.


5. Beg in the charity forum
Begging is allowed on Gaia but only in this forum: Charity Forum. Keep all of your mooching there- and do not randomly PM people for gold or items.
Some Gaians are very charitable and giving- but no one is obligated to give you anything at all.
This might be the least profitable way to earn gold.

The Mini Shops area on Gaia is where you can create your own items to sell for Gaian gold or items.
This can be a very honest and hard working way to earn gold.
Creation of the items is usually done in a image program like Microsoft Paint, Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.
There are tons of different creations you could make or sell.

A few common ideas for Mini Shops, but these certainly not the only ones:

Ideas
1. Cute little pixel creatures or dolls.
2. Personalized signatures or wishlists.
3. Avatar portraits in a variety or styles.
4. Pets to roleplay and keep in your signature.


Once you have decided upon a theme or central service your shop will provide, you should consider a few points.
  • First, confirm your idea is within the boundaries of the Mini Shop's Rules. See them here: Minishop Rules
  • Secondly, decide if your idea is worthy of anyone buying it. Ask a few Gaian friends who will give you honest opinions.
  • Lastly and most importantly, make sure your idea is not copying anyone elses. Try to come up with a new, fresh, and original idea.

You can open your own store in the Gaian Exchange forum to sell real Gaian items.

Shop Advice
1. Buy low, sell high.
2. Know your items.
3. Give your shop a theme.


1. Buy low, sell high!
The basics of a store in this area are simple- buy your items for a low price and try to sell them for more then you bought them. Don't buy from the NPC stores if you can help it, you'll always acrue a loss in profit. Try to keep your buying limited to Gaian user's inventory blowouts or sales- these most often occur right after an item update. wink

2. Know your items
Keep your eye on the price guides and try to be a smart consumer. If you really want profit, try to only deal in items people will buy.
There isn't much of a market for wrinkled clothes or ski jackets- but if you can afford to buy Pimpin gear cheaply or other popular clothes then they definetly will sell.

3. Give your shop a theme or make it well varied
Either extreme will work well here.
A centrally themed store is more likely to get more attention and stick in a vistors mind, such as how Bag -n- Save delt only in the halloween bags, or how the Angelique Diabolique delt in mostly Angelic or Nightmare items.
Or make your store a Gaian Walmart- sell everything you can find for as cheap as you can with still making a profit. Don't only stick to female or male commons- try to buy both and appeal to a wider range of customers.

When the Administrators of Gaia decided to introduce Donation Letters and Donation Items exclusive to the month they also created a complex economy.
Since each month's Letter is limited to that month it naturally increases in value as time passes, making it rarer and rarer.
How quickly the item's value increases is only decided by popularity or the lack of- and by the willingness or the lack of people to sell it.
There is no set guide or amount that an item will cost. We all as users set the price of Donation Letters and items by being willing to give up what we are for the object.
When someone talks about "investing" in a letter, they probably intend to hold on to the item until the common selling price increases for them to recieve a profit.
This is quite possibly the most profitable way of earning gold, but also perhaps the slowest.

Completely hypothetical example
Gaian user "Sam" buys a June 2004 letter in June 2004 for 3000 gold!
"Sam" hangs on to his letter until December, and he finds out that June 2004 letters are selling for 50,000 gold!
He sells the letter for a profit of 47,000 gold.


If you have the patience for this method of money making you have a possiblity of being quite rich. But this is only a possibility- and sometimes a gamble.
If you purchased some Letters and you find you do not like the Donation items of a certain month- don't complain.
It will be worth something someday simply due to rarity.
Just let your unwanted Letters rot in the corner of your inventory for about a month and a half. That seems like a long time, but by then the letter will be most likey worth more.

Keep in mind that with this theory it is smarter to invest your gold in letters and not actually keep any hard cash.
Your gold count does not increase without your help over time- but a letter will.
If you have an extra amount of money sitting in your gold count and you have no immediate need for it, investing in a letter is a safer way to manage your money. The letter will eventually rise, and you can "liquidate"(sell for pure gold only) if you ever need the cash.

A good way to earn gold is an art shop. But only if you can actually draw.

Not a bad thread, but I know another way to make fast easy gold right now, and that is the marketplace, I have 12k right now, and I started with 3k this mourning, may letters are so easy to make money off of there right now. biggrin
