The True Meaning of Gaia

I have noticed that many users, oldbies or newbies alike are gradually forgetting the true purpose of Gaia and this is rather upsetting. Nowadays, a lot of Gaians only think about gold, and more gold.

Gaia is not supposed to be about only about gold. It's a place where different individuals meet to talk about various topics. I should think it's a bit like finding your place in the world because sometimes in real life, people dislike you and betray you. The same thing probably happens in Gaia, but there are also some really great people here - and that makes Gaia one of the best places ever. People reach out and touch the hearts of others by penetrating that invisible communication barrier. It is about humanity and friendships between individuals, about finding your true self.

It is true that gold plays a certain role, but really, do we want Gaia to morph into one of those materialism-centred sites? If so, what is the difference between Gaia and the real world? Gaia is the doorway into dreams, the entrance to fairytales. You paint your world with colours in this temporary refuge from worldly cares. It is the essence that really matters and when you think about it, the real reason more and more people are leaving Gaia because of the conciousness deterioration here.


That, is the incredibly long reason why I'm setting up this charity. I'm always up for a long chat. If you need any help, just poke me or something and I'll try to help you - just don't beg for donations.

I came up with the idea of an Ouran theme for our charity because of just one reason :: I'm completely and utterly in LOVE with the anime. I said the anime bacause I haven't have time to get the manga yet but i'll certainly do so in due time. An Ouran fan is not complete until he/she reads the manga and watches the anime. But don't anyone of you worry. Although the charity is with an Ouran theme, you don't have to be a fan to get donations from us. I just like it this way is all... I like seeing the pictures of the Ouran Hosts that just screams HOTNESS whenever I start working at the charity. Takes a LOT of stress out of my work i say. Other than that, this is just like any other normal charity out there. We do this because we like helping others and we like to bask in the satisfaction of knowing that we helped someone on their way towards realizing their dream. And I do like to have conversations however idle with other gaians here instead of bumping on my own quest thread which is already on its way to the realm of death from inactivity. So, just give me a nudge, I'll always be there for anyone who needed any kind help, and i'll try my hardest to help him/her. I think by now you must think that mich and I are like old hags with our nagging. Okay! I'll stop right here, right now. Tata!

We're always looking for donators. Why? Although we try our best we might not make enough gold for the charity. Especially since I...err..Second Host got hacked. Don't worry...the charity mule's account is protected by an extremly strong password...I doubt anyone would be able to figure it out. ninja

Q: How do I receive a donation?
A: Follow the rules. Be polite. We won't give you a donation if you just post and leave, we want you to hang around and interact with other people. Bumpers will find it more difficult to receive donations, so it is encouraged that you try to chat with other people. Superb bumpers may be considered, though I advise against this for you need to bump a LOT.

Q: Where did my name disappear to? It was on the list of donation forms received previously!
A: Inactive participants will have their names taken off the list. You are only permitted to resubmit a donation request after exactly two weeks from the date your names are removed.

Q: Can I PM the hosts?
A: No, not really. There's a reason why we created the charity mule, you know.

Q: Under what circumstances may I PM the charity mule?
A: When you aren't begging, sending chain letters, abusing people, or sending random mail like, "Hi, can I be your friend?" You must only PM the mule when you have a question or when you have businessof importance or you will end up in the black list.

We need more helpers in the charity. The first host has obligations and the second host has work. Besides, we live in the same time zone, implying that we need someone else from the opposite side of the globe to help us, if possible.
