Introductory Post;

When the Gaian Branch of the Royal Library of Alexandria opened, it was expected that hordes of people would flock to it. The hordes never came, but few ever do when it's a library. Regardless, one Professor Aziza curator of the collection was dead set on integrating the Royal Library into the community. Thus the brilliant woman devised a plan. They would hold a Masquerade for all the citizens of Gaia. Pleased with herself, the woman mailed invitations to as many people as she could reach.

Finally the night arrived. Professor Aziza stood at the door smiling at the guests and rather...carefully.. ignoring tails and wings and other ...extras. Already in the large confrence room specially decorated for the evening was Dr. Smith and a dark mysterious character.

Official Participants

Due to the stickiness of keeping plot-lines pure and feathers unruffled, permission must be aqquired from shop owners to rp your pet in this event. Any shops based on Gaia, that participate in any sort of rp are free to come and join us (pending permission). Anyone of any sort is more than welcome to stop by with an OC that's living/visiting Gaia. And of course anyone is welcome to participate in the OOC events.

Events

Through out the month there will be several OOC* events as well as IC* events.

IC events:

Costume Contest: As a Masquerade, characters are invited to come dressed for Halloween. By submitting a description/picture of the character dressed in their Halloween costume they will participate in the contest. The winner recieves a 'cash' prize and a 'photograph' of their costume. (5k and a picture by Tara)

Grab Baqs: Random goodies, including candy, trinkets, and the occasional gold. Grab Bags will be handed out at the end of the Masquerade.

OOC events:

M;iM raffle: A special Halloween based scroll is up for raffle.
M;iM flatsale: Two scroll children, and four newly revealed children.
Character Contest; Design Mr. Mysterious and win a custom M;iM child of either side!

*OOC: Out of character, raffles, auctions, flatsales ect...
*IC: In character, things that characters respond to, trick or treating, costume contests, ect..

Costume Contest

A costume contest open for all. Entrants may submit a picture or written description of their character's costume. Best costume overall will win the prize of 5k and a cg picture by Tara_Nepion. Winner in each category will win 1k and a pencil picture by Tara_Nepion. Please PM your entried to Professor_Aziza and the age of the wearer.

Character Design

No one has ever seen under Mr. Mysterious' hood or heard him called by name. They only know that he came from an influential family and is Nara's partner. He's often silent and solemn. Create a character design for him! Best one, based soley off the owner's opinion wins. Deadline Oct. 31 at 10:00pm CST. The winner will recieve a custom child and 5k in gold. Please PM entries to Professor_Aziza. Entries may be drawn or written.

Each flatsale child is 5k, a special reduced price for the event. However, it is a prompt based flatsale, with four different prompts. Please answer one. If you win, you do not have to use the same personality as in the prompt.

Four M;iM children, yet to be revealed alignment (which hopefully will be revealed before the end of Halloween.

1. It's time to choose what weapon you will specialize in for the rest of your life. What do you choose and how? Do you get your choice or does your teacher make you get a different weapon?

2. You're beginning to have doubts about your chosen profession. Although you know the monsters are unnatural and evil, is it really right to kill them? Do you turn to someone for help or try to figure it out on your own?

3. Rumor has it that your great great aunt was captured and twisted by evil. As you've been fighting you come face to face with her. How do you deal with your enemy being a woman who should be long dead? If she really is your great great aunt can you fight against your family?

4. You were just a kid when you decided to join the fight against evil. Now, torn from home and family in a strange town filled with unnatural creatures what do you think? Was your decision right? How did you come to decide it anyway?
