That is the ancient curse of the Sohma Family.

The infamous Mabudachi Trio has decided to host a New Years party for all the Sohma's and their friends. As of right now, Tohru and Kyo's bond has deepened, and who knows what could happen at the party? Could their secret get out to their friends? Or will the curse have finally been broken after many years...

That is up to you

Note: I'm sorry that the plotline is so short. If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me! >.<

The start of the roleplay is one day before the party, everyone has gotten out of school and some are heading over to Shigure's house to work on preparations

arrow I'm probably going to lose half of you right here, but there will be no made ups. >.<

arrow No godmoding. It's annoying and everyone hates it.

arrow Talking in OOCs require the usual (()) || [] or whatever you use. Don't fight in here in OOC, take it to the PMs if you guys have an argument of some sort

arrow I want to keep this RP alive as long as possible. If anyone is going to be gone for a while please send me a PM. Also, make sure to post as often as you can.

arrow When playing your character, please stay in character. Like, I don't want Tohru to be all gothic, and Machi to be happy-go-lucky, and I don't want a Hiro acting all nicey nicey around Tohru... What would this world be like???

arrow Please be literate and when I say Literate, I mean third person, speaking with "", thinking with ' ' or italics, proper capitilization and spelling (as best as you can do, I know all of us are not the greatest spellers, such as myself whee )). I'm sorry if you think I'm being strict, It's just hard to read sententences such as...

eek i stepped inside the main house and nodded to the servants who were standing by the door. good afternoon hatori-san they said and i nodded back in return. eek

arrow Please try and use the honorifics at the end of names. If you don't know them, that's fine, but for those of you that do, please try and use them

arrow Keep it PG-13 people for the sake of our younger users such as myself. No cybering! Don't even take it to the PMs. It's gross. Romance is obviously allowed and encouraged though.

arrow Try to keep your posts at least three sentences. I can understand Writers Block... We all have to suffer through the terrible curse

arrow Please pm me your profile with the title "The Curse" so I know that you read the rules. Anyone who posts their profiles will be asked to delete their post and be blacklisted

arrow For the time being, no one can play more than two characters.

arrow Follow the Gaian TOS... It's just common sense guys..

Kisa rushed home from school, wind blowing her face. She giggled, tucking a strand of her orange hair behind her ears. She couldn't wait to get home to see Onee-chan. Tohru had mentioned something earlier about a party at Shigure's house, but she hadn't said anything more. The little tiger just hoped Onee-chan wasn't made for showing up so suddenly. She sighed, not wanting to think about it and just concentrated on getting to Shigure-Oji-chan's house.

Machi was at her locker, packing up her books silently. Yuki had asked her earlier about going to party. But... she wasn't so sure. Being around that many people at once unnerved her. Yuki had said his whole family was going to be there, including the student council and all of his families friends. A light blush rose to her cheeks as she realized she was considered one of Yuki's friends.

Um...since Kisa and Kyo would both be orange, Kyo's going to be bold and talk in...unbold. ^^))

After school had ended, Kyo had slunk away to the roof to escape helping with the party decorations. No surprise there. In fact, he wouldn't even be at the party if he could manage to escape. Although, that would be unlikely if Kagura showed up... Sighing to himself at the thought of her, Kyo shifted his position under the sun and closed his eyes.

Arisa Uotani had changed as soon as she got home. She had been invited to some Sohma party by Tohru for the holidays. There was no way she could skip a party! There would probably be lots of sake. Maybe she could get that Orange Top drunk...

At any rate, she had to get her homework done before helping Tohru with the decorating as she said she would...or she could just skip the homework. Yeah, that sounded about right.

A smile on her face that shown of an undying joy Tohru hurried into Shigure's house and quickly made her way upstairs and into her room. After changing into a comfortable pair of clothes the girl braided her hair and headed downstairs. She was truly excited about the party and couldn't wait to begin decorate.

"Now let's see. Where to start," She spoke aloud and glanced around the living room, blue eyes roaming over the furniture.

Yuki watched with interest from the bottom of the stairs, he'd heard Tohru and he walked down after her. Tohru seemed to be truly excited about this party. As for Yuki, he didn't know what to think. He wondered if this New Years Party would be like the ones he attended at the Sohma Main House, or if it would be completely different...probably the latter.
"What can I help with Honda-san?" Yuki asked.

Tohru jumped slightly, not expecting Yuki to appear from what seemed to be nowhere. "Oh! Yuki-kun, you scared me. Umm, actually I don't know where to start. I was hoping to move some furniture out of the way so we could make some more room," She replied as her smile widened. She was proud of herself for thinking so wisely. Now all she needed to do was apply her thoughts.
