I saw it on Digg.com ---> "10 oldest strangest tech things" and it was linked to a very creditble technical blog/website that just talks about new tech and they listed that as a honorable mention, so they gave a "source" link and thats the one i provided
and I was like WTF??!?!?

I think it was stolen from the Japanese. xd
They designed it as a war weapon, using light's frequency to paralyse the opponent. All went wrong when the technicians, electricians & scientists thought it'd be a fun game instead.

Then the Americans stole it, obviously. 3nodding

But can it be considered the first video game? They didn't say that it was on a television screen and I believe that it must have a screen to be in the league of video games.
