Q: Should I draw your avatar?
A: No, I want art of the real me, my boyfriend and my pets.

Q: Does it have to be realistic?
A: No, I like all kinds of styles. If I wanted a realistic picture I would use a camera, I want art. If you can make it look like us but in your unique style that is a plus.

Q: Do I have to draw all 4 of you?
A: No, you can choose who you want to draw. To win the group prize all 4 must be in the picture, for the couple prize; me and my boyfriend and for the cat prize; both cats. You can draw just me or my boyfriend with or without just one cat for the other categories.

Q: Can I change anything?
A: Yes, feel free to be creative. Design an outfit. Add accessories, wings, furry ears ect.

I sometimes wear glasses and let my hair out and sometimes I don't do that. Artist gets free hands to choose how it should look. Just don't change hair/eye colors.

Q: How do I enter?
A: Draw and upload the picture somewhere (example: photobucket), then post the link/url to your entry here or PM it to me. No "entry forms" needed. Version preferaly as big as possible.
IMPORTANT: Name the picture as your username, or else you can't receive a prize. Ex: my entry would be ChemieChan.jpg No more, no less.

Q: Why do you want big versions of the entries?
A: Size does mathers. The bigger the better and I will consider this when I'm judging. This because with a big version I'm able to study the details, plus I can use the picture as a deskop. Have this in mind when you choose canvas size.

If you are concerned about other people using your art you may have a smaller, possible watermarked, version in the entry gallery.

Q: What kind of art do you like?
A: All kinds, it depends. But I tend to like natural/traditional media (watercolor, markers, acrylics ect.) and stylish/comic book styles. I like a picture with a lot of feelings (expressive); an action pose, an interesting expression, an emotional background ect. I get really impressed with artists that can draw hands and feet well.

Remember: it's always best if you draw something you feel comfortable with and that the picture looks good overall.

If you want me to comment your entry I can help you getting closer to win a prize. I might say that my arm is too long or something, and you get a chance to change that. You can send me new versions until the deadline, Oct 11th.

Q: How many pictures can I enter with?
A: There is no limit. You can enter as many categories as you want, as many times as you want.

Q: Can one win multiple prizes?
A: Yes, you can win two prizes. The grand prize winner can't win another prize, though. I encourage artists to go for several categories. Ex: You draw a couple picture that also is animated, or a group picture that also has action poses and a background.

I am the judge so I will choose who wins what. You can not choose, that would create caos in the prize ceremony.

Every entry is automatically considered for the grand prize, regardless of category.

Q: Can I enter with a picture made together with someone?
A: Yes, collaborations are accepted, but how the artists split the prize is up to the them.

Q: I haven't read/seen 'Alice in Wonderland', what should I do?
A: No problem, I've made an album with inspiration: LINK The story is whimsical and satirical. It's about a slightly schizofrenic child who falls down a rabbit-hole into a fantasy world where she has to stick up for herself dealing with odd creatures. Summary of the storyline LINK

Ideas for scenes can be falling down the rabbit hole, me being huge (from the mushroom), me in a sea of my own tears, a tea party or any crazy landscape/nature.

Q: Can I enter with a picture I've drawn for you before?
A: No, If I have comissioned you or gotten art from you earlier you can't enter with that picture. You must draw a new one.

Q: Can I enter with nudity/erotic art?
A: Yes, I don't have a problem with that. I really like sexy art. PM or mail it to me at chemie@chemiechan.com injstead of posting it in the forum.

Q: What are you going to do with the art?
A: Maybe have it on my website, use it as a deskop or make a print for personal use. (ex: frame it and hang it on my wall) I won't make a profit out of it and I will give full credit to the artist.

Q: How I can I trust you're giving out the prizes in the end?
A: I can assure you that I have all the letters and items by displaying my inventory in the second post, which can't be done unless I acually have them.

I would love to trade them for good art. Gaia gold or items has no value to me. I've been a member since August 2003, September 2003 with this account and all I can say is that you can trust me. I have comissioned over 200 artists and I've payed all of them. This is a fair and safe art contest.


Q: Will you give prizes to your friends?
A: Only if they deserve a prize, I will not be an unfair judge. I will be completly objective and it doesn't mather who enters, I look at the art they enter with.

Q: Can one enter with a doll/avatar edit?
A: Yes, but please give credit for the base if you didn't do it yourself.

Q: Can we link to eachother?
A: Yes, just don't stretch the page when you post the code for your banner.

Q: Why was I/wasn't I invited here?
A: I've sent out invitations to people from an old "artist wishlist". I've picked them cause I liked their previous work and remembered to write them down. If you were not invited you have just as much chance of winning, I can't keep track of every great artist, can I? ^_^

Q: Who did the reference pictures?
A: I'd like to give credit to all artists wich art I use as references. These are not contest entries.
