I started craving Falconer's Lord Of The Blacksmiths today. I finally listened to it and it was awesome.

The looooord of the blacksmiths keeps forging ooooonnnn.

I love the way it has blacksmith noises in the background too, it makes the song feel all special and fuzzy. whee

Im quite new to Power metal, but ive loved what ive heard.
My favourites being Blind Guardian, Hibria, Edguy and Kiuas. What next should i check out.

Not power metal, but great nonetheless.

As for Children of Bodom.

They're a mediocre band with mediocre songs, and definately NOT power metal.

Rhapsody have a few fantastic songs and a lot of pleasant filler.

Dragonforce's first album is pretty solid as a power metal album goes.

Black Fire is one of their best songs, and with good reason.

I'm not a huge power metal fan, but that Hibria album was pretty good when I gave it a listen.

There are some absolutely incredible Rhapsody songs. However, there are a crapload of songs that don't do anything for me at all, but I love them for the songs that are great.

Plus, the instrumentals are definately top notch.
