Update: We have decided this petition has served it's usefullness. I may not have mentioned it before hand but i did discuss these issues with a gaia admin and got the idea that their minds were already made up. I wanted to make this petition to show them all the people they are letting down, and i think i've done this. Updating has cut seriously into mine and digis time and has interfered with my exam period meaning i had to leave gaia for a while. I k=just want to give a big thankyou to all signers and supporters and convey my disapointment that you will all be ignored by those with the power to fix things.

Summary: For those of you not bothered to read. If you sign our petition you are showing your support to our cause. We wish for the banning of inflation groups to create a fair economy. We do not support the deflation of donation items past their un artificialy inflated points as this would be just as damaging to the economy.
The Story~
Once upon a gaia time, their were groups or rich gains who were working together to increase prices and make profit. These groups ravenged the gaian economy untill one day those wonderful beings known as mods stepped in. Using their guild deleting powers and their ban hammer of doom they put a stop to such activities.
Alas, the good times of a stable economy that followed this victory were short lived. Recently a new guild of marketplace manipulators have sprug up. Now, when reported, the mods just say the admins have made a decision there is nothing wrong with their actions. gonk
The Problem~
Natural inflation is based upon supply and demand. When demand is higher than supply the price of an item rises. When the demand is lower than the supply the price falls. The problem with artificial inflation is these gaians use their combined wealth to buy out the supply of an item and then force desperate questers and users to pay more and more for the items. This abuse of the marketplace is a purely selfish excersise for them to make profit at the expense of others. It was once considered scamming which is why they were closed down. I and other exchange regulas are at a loss to why things have changed.
If this is not a get-rich-quick scheme then what is?
Posible Solutions~
There is a several ways that this problem could be solved.
The first and easiest would be for the admins to inform the mods that these groups are once again, correctly, viewed as scams. They are get-rich-quick abuses of the economy to gain profit at the expense of other gaians.
The admins could create a new rule. Something along the line of: Marketplace Manipulation : Grouped abuse of the gaian economy including, but not limited to, seeking to create artificial inflation, will not be tollerated. Users seeking to damage the economy for personal gain will be warned and if they continue their attempt perminantly banned.

*Rules & Guidelines*
Scamming. We reward our users with Gold and hard to find rares, but we have no tolerance for people who try to take other users' assets with get-rich-quick schemes or promises of rare items.
