~Stumbling your way past the guarded arches and the leery looks of well trained knights so many thoughts seem to go through head. Just how did you find yourself here again? Oh that's a simple question to answer, turns out you've been selected to train as a knight! Complete with your own steed provided to you! Thinking that some great deal going on there you had decided to go through it, and now you find yourself in the training camp of Kingdom Dunrove. Huh, hey, what's this? A piece of paper has been tacked up on the village square, and reads:

"To know not of what you behold in your very hands, whether the velvet touch of the shy filly, or the unruly muzzle of a spirited colt... is a sin above all else. A knights honor is not won by the power of his sword or bone, but the will of his horse agongst the heat of battler. A lesson only the wise will embrace, and forgotten by the ignorance of man."

-Maldan, keeper of the pact-

Interesting... really. Was this guy nuts? Just what pact is he talking about?! Eh, oh well. Leaving the paper as it is you go looking around for your quarters, let's just hope there's no trouble to be sought, those knights can get pretty mean when they want to be!

As bold as a silver moon battling down the dying sun every night the pounding of heavy hooves struck against the slick mud of yesterday's pouring rain. With this heavy pounding came the crimson flaring of the beast's nostrils, and despite it's amazing size the brute of a stallion was able to keep balance and run with a speed such a horse should not have been able to conjure up on it's own. Then again you would run like your life depended on it if the blackness behind it was on your tail as quickly as a bee stung. Glancing over his shoulder the knight held a tight grip on his stallion's reins and bit, there was no chance if the horse suddenly decided to run with fear instead of courage. How did he know this? He had a pact with this creature to look out for each other's backs, a bond that could not be broken by words, but actions alone, and he urged the horse forwards once again with the silent proding of rounded spurs, for there was no need for a piercing pain when he could merely speak with this beast.

'I get the idea, I'm running already', came the gruff voice of his steed, invading the knight's private thoughts and memories. But this stallion didn't care about such things when both their lives were at stake, and he snorted his disgust when the knight tried to push him out of his mind. But he obeyed, figuring his friend had much to think about, besides, the stallion had to keep his mind on his business; running.

Maldan, the knight of which his steed just back talked, tried to keep the grin from spreading across his mouth, the same old Niroth, poor old stallion had grown a temper with old age. But the smirk was quickly wiped away when the sting of an arrow head caught him across the cheek, for he had long since lost his helm, having only his chest plate and knee guards. But when all seemed dark, and the sun was being pushed off the horizon, the Kingdom of Durove came into sight, and along with it the knights that would ambush this disaster. When the knight starting urging his steed forward once more with the proding of rounded spurs he heard a great laughter in his mind, and the steed actually gave a little jump into the air, slightly kicking out his hind legs, barely able to catch himself in the mud. "What are you doing?! We're almost there!" shouted Maldan, alarm filling his tone.

Niroth just laughted at this knight. 'I thought you were suppose to be the brave one, listen to yourself, we're almost there, stop acting like a squire on his first scouting mission!' Niroth scolded, though all in good fun. He still had not lost his confidence, and there before him came the thundering of renforcements, they were safe, and Maldan needed to get a hold of himself. What a day this had been.

How do I get a pet?
The basic way is through flatsale, but we will also hold auctions and take custom orders.

Can I have a pet for free? *puppy dog eyes*
No, cute faces don't work for me. But jaw dropping bribes do, xd.

Whats the link between knight and horse?
It's quite simple really, though the story explains it best, the horses were blessed by the magic of a desperate king and share the courage and bravery of the knights that stayed behind to defend the village from the invaders.

Foal Stage

User Image

At this stage your foal can have a variety of personalities, whether it be shy, curious, or just plain loves getting into trouble, they have several traits in common. One being the sturdy build, with a heavy chest and shoulders, thicker necks, and fuller manes and tails; they are suited for light work with halters and playing with other foals. Can speak on a mental link to other horses.

Yearling Stage

Female: User Image
Male: User Image

Wow look who decided to grow up! They're almost the size of a regular stock horse now... just who has been slipping them steroids?! Oh right, no one, cuz these are babies are naturally big and strong, you have to in order to carry a knight in full body armor, not like they're as light as a feather ya know? They are now able to get some light riding in, though don't overdo it, they're bones still aren't fully developed yet. Can speak on a mental link to other horses.

Adult Stage

Female: User Image
Male: User Image

My oh my oh my, these horses must be huge! Look at those feet, one hoof big enough to cover your entire face! Ouch, definatly don't want to get kicked by one of these guys, or gals for that matter. The male is slightly larger then the female, standing from anywhere between 17 and 17.3 hh at the shoulder. (one hand = 4in.) And the females anywhere from 16.2 to 17.2hh. Now fully developed they can run with great momentum, knocking over crowds of people, that is if they already didn't move out of the way of the charging brute. Just be glad this horse is on your side, and now with it's bond complete with you is able to speak on a mental link to you alone, along with other horses.

Elder Stage

Elder stages will only have an Armor change from their orignal color in the younger stages to either Gold, silver, black, or blood red
Geez, will they ever stop growing?! Yes, this is the final stage, and very few horses will ever reach it. With this age your horse has some wear and tear around the edges, as have you, so retirement is the best thing for the both of ya. Your horse has gained many mental abilities, and may become quite the little war lord now that it can't defend you itself. It's bravery is still bared even if it's body is unwilling to do the work. Sometimes they will make alliances with the other horses, them being the leader of course, lets just hope they stay on friendly terms with other elders, right?

So I have my horse now... so where does that leave me? Have questions about how you just so happened to become a knight, well this is the place for you, giving you a step by step instruction guide!

Taking care of your foal:
When you first get your horse it will be in the foal stage, as sturdy as this breed is they are needy and full of energy, though tire easily after a hard days work. When you first arrive you become a stable hand, which is when you somehow happen upon this fine steed of the knights. You are responsible for it's care and socialization, they are able to talk to each other but not you. So play around, get to bonding, and maybe practice swinging that sword of yours around!

And your training begins:
Once your horse grows to the yearling stage you are admitted as a squire, or a knight in training if you will. Several things are required of you, choose a path of which you would like to travel on for the rest of your army carreer. A charger, or forward attacker, is trained heavily in the art of lances. Get use to carring the heavy armor on your backs and chest, and build the strength in your arms and legs. More then likely you'll need to be able to take a few hits, for that big sheild won't always keep you from being knocked off your horse! Or take to sword play, agility and foot work is the best off here, and you need to be able to think in a split seconds notice. Work on this, and keep your horse active for it is still growing... despite how big it is already.

*note* This is the stage in which you may earn a specialty sword!

Knighthood:
So you've picked your path and you've bonded with your horse. So guess what, the knights have accepted you the day your horse grew! A celebration will be held in your honor along with a feast... but soon afterwords the heavy work will begin. Know that you are a knight you are expected to fullfill knightly duties, female or male, for both are accepted into the army. Along with this honor you can join in on tournaments, earn respect among your peers, and maybe... just maybe, your horse will have a chance to find love on it's own adventures!

There's more?!
Ha! If you are so lucky to be graced with an elder horse you graduate from the knight ranks, though very rare. Become a lord or lady of the court, and hold some say in what the knights do, and what missions they should go on.
