I was wondering how many chain wallets there are in existance on Gaia.

I saw a thread a few months back about counting halos, and I'm just wondering how many chain wallets there are, specifically because of my DJ quest.

DJs have nothing to do with chain wallets? See sig. Onward.

If you own a chain wallet, could you post how many you own?
Might as well include the letters they're in; January 2004s.

If you know anyone else who owns a chain wallet, post their gaia name and how many they own?

Updated list in second post.

FAQ

There a bajillion wallets out there, my proc number is (something big), this is redudant, blahblah.
- Yes, there are a ton of wallets. Unless you've a proc number over 7k, I really don't care. The point of this thread is to learn how many chain wallets are active. That means how many chain wallets are out there that still have the minute possibility of being sold.
Chain wallets are rather old, and there have been a lot of letter hoarders and old people who either were banned or simply don't come ot Gaia anymore. Thus, they are inactive wallets.
I'm counting active.

Why do we have to give you names of people we know, and can't say "a friend?"
- I am making a list of all your names on it, yes. But this is only so if you or someone you mentions posts in this thread and their wallet has already been counted, I won't count it again. By saying you have a wallet in this thread does not sign your or your friends' name(s) on the ultimate userlist of chainwallet doom.
Yes, your name is on a list. The list is not posted anywhere, is completely confidential, and I am not keeping it just to PM you and beg for your wallet/letter later. So please calm down and give names; thank you.

I have a wallet/letter and I sold it.
- That's nice, but it doesn't count unless you give me a name. Sorry.

Cute Girl

There's like a bajillion chain wallets. XD

[[This is not my wallet]]
There's probably not a lot. I mean they cost so much in the Market Place.

Well I know in 2003 the rule was no matter how much you donated, you'd only get one donation letter.

So unless you had a mule, there was only one. That's why the 2003 items are extra rare.

I dont know if this rule was abolished in time for the chain wallets or not. 0o
the admins said there were only 32 halos given out. for everything else... i think it'd be insane to try to count. o__O;;

I doubt it...

If my guess is correct than the chain wallets were the first letter to be put on the 4.25 USD = 1 letter rule.
Not many people as today were donating, plus I think the emo bags were much more popular than the wallets back then.

No, that's not how it worked.
You got one item every time you donated, regardless of how much you donated.
Therefore you could donate $2.50 two different times and get two letters.
There's not a lot of 2003 items, because there wasn't a lot of users, let alone a lot of users that donated.

It was twice as far as I remember. Considering I donated.

You could get two letters no matter what you donated. You could use mules to get more. When Gaia needed more donations, they changed it to the system of today.
