Welcome to the long awaited flatsale thread for Skies of Pern. (Can hear the cheers) Yes, yes, I know it's been postponed, delayed, etc, but here it is and FINALLY things will be getting underway.

Anyone is free to participate in this whether you are a lurker or just a passerby of the shop. The new price for SoP 'pets' is 7k since we have done away with rider portraits. Older owners of the shop, of course, will still have their rider drawn up but from here on out, there will be no rider portraits.

Rules:
1. First and foremost, these pets are RP REQUIRED! If you do not feel that you can keep up with RP then Do NOT enter the flatsale, simple as that.
2. Don't discourage others from entering the flatsale
3. No negative commenting on entries! I really hate when someone says something unkind about another persons entry. It's uncalled for and if it happens the person commenting will be banned from the flatsale and listed in the SoP shop.
4. PLEASE don't whine, guilt trip, or complain if you don't win. There will be other ways to get a dragon.
5. ALL names must be unique. This means that the names can not be something that one would hear on Earth. Your best bet is to find a name generator or make up a name yourself. It's very easy and can be quite fun. XD
7. This isn't a rule so much as a tip. Take a look at the storyline in the main thread to help you figure out what timeline the shop is in.

General Info:
Now, onto some general info on how the flatsale will be run.

This is a RP flatsale and everyone will have 1 week to type up their prompt reply and character profiles using whatever Pern knowledge they have aquired either from the site or other means (Reading the books, googling, etc.) It is not required that you have extensive knowledge of Pern to get a dragon, but it certianly does help.

Now, entries will be looked at by me and Werewolf. Grammar and spelling DOES COUNT! This shop is RP heavy which means you have to be able to create full sentences and make sense with your posts. We will also look at your character profile and how he/she will fit into the shop as well as how you have them respond to the prompt. The character profile sheets will also be used to determine what color dragon your rider will get. DO NOT try to influence us by giving your character traits only known for a certain color dragon. If that occurs then your chances of being chosen and getting the dragon color you want is unlikely. It may turn out though that the color you wish for is the color that you get. It really depends on how well developed your candidate is.

Were and I might give comments on someone's prompt and character profile if they ask. We will decide on this later on though.

To enter, just copy and paste this character sheet and post it in the thread along with your prompt response. BOTH prompt response and character sheet must be in the same post and posted at the same time so don't post one without the other being ready. Also, make sure that you are happy with your entry as edits will be highly frowned upon and decrease your chance of getting a dragon. (edits to get rid of smart quotes is fine)

oh ok, Just wonderin, thus why I didnt post in this thread before xd

Anyway I have a question about the rider portaits, IF I where to get a dragon could I still get one of the Rider portraits if I paid the full 15k?

Ice- As far as I know, no. The problem isnt that we need the money, simply that it takes too long, and makes for delays, ect ect. People who have already paid for thier riders will recieve them. Maybe Mer or I will do some riders in the future, but I believe as of now we're not doing portraits.
