On Rooks: Rooks are one of Britain's largest resident land birds. They are highly social animals: feeding together, and nesting together (in large nests called rookeries). They are part of the same bird family, Corvidae, as carrion crows. Like their 'siblings,' they are black all over. They are generally considered a nuisance due to their loud cawing, and their habits of stealing things. They also have a tendancy to attack the nests of smaller birds, such as sparrows, where they tear the nests to pieces and eat the eggs inside.

Other: It's unknown whether or not Pukio is actually from gaia, or somewhere else. Considering that she's human, and relatively normal save for eccentricy, it's likely she is -- but she's not saying anything. Living by the phrase 'Carpe Diem,' she's brash, blunt, and none too concerned about her own welling being, nor that of others. She's a firm believer in hitting your casket with a martini in one hand, and a noise maker in the other.

She wears a disturbingly decorated eyepatch that tends to eat souls scare small children.

Pukio: Pukio is Ryker's protector...in the barest sense of the word. For the most part, she seems to treat the poor kid like a sack of potatoes. She's a bit eccentric, but caring where it counts (so long as she's not accidentally dropping anyone on their head or something...).

Roak: Roak is a Chevre: a goat-ish animal. While he's not exactly human, he's still considered a part of the family. He causes quite a bit of trouble: from chewing up shoes, to eating cans, to gnawing on Ryker's basket to -- well, you get the point.

Squish: The family cat. A completely normal kitty, Squish is an irritable, grouchy old man. He likes sleeping ontop of Ryker and covering the poor kid in orange cat hair. Damn cats...

Erick: Ryker and Erick are sorta staticy when it comes to their relationship: i.e. one stays away from the other for the most part, and when they happen upon eachother, they're agreeable. So far, it's working out alright. >>;

Briar Rose: Briar Rose has developed a strong love/hate relationship with Ryker. Because she pulls and tugs on him so often, Ryker has a tendancy to yank her hair. But, she is nice to him if you look past the part where she dresses him up in her doll clothes and so forth, so he usually returns the favor...

Yuriko: Yuriko is a rather quiet child, so she and Ryker don't really get along. She gets annoyed by all the noise he makes. But, if he's quiet, they coexist pretty well.

Akilah: May or may not be so much a 'friend,' rather than a prospective mentor. Despite Kilah's initial attempt to crush Ryker between two rocks, the two seem to share similar interests (as far as anyone can tell...), and she opted not to kill him.
