Welcome friends to [Gene Starwind]'s Custom Music Shop. Now you may be asking yourself, "Gene, what is a custom music shop anyway?" Well I'll tell you. What do you get for the Gaian who has everything? Tons of avie art...check, items galore...check...a personalized recorded song by a semi-professional musician and singer....well if you've already got that chances are you know me.

I write or parody custom and personalized songs for YOU, for a reasonable fee. Whether you're getting this as a gift for someone, or if you're just really a big fan of music and want a song written for you or your avatar, here's your chance.

Note: Due to the very high demand for my work, in the interest of keeping prices low, and my wish to keep having custom songs as something of a status symbol please be advised that I withold the right to decline any commission. Basically what this means is that if I don't feel inspired by your particular avatar, the ideas you have to contribute for your song, or if you have a lot of numbers in your name...then I probably will move on to another order. I will however, be polite enough
to notify you that your commission has been declined.

I'm not in this for the gold, that's just an added bonus. I'm doing this because I enjoy making good music for good people. Also, if you're not going to be online at all or very rarely please don't place an order with me. It's very frustrating to have a commission completed and have to wait forever in order to recieve payment. Thank you again and I hope you enjoy the shop.

Rules of the Shop

1. All Rules and Guidelines as stated by the Rules and Guidelines, ToS, and individual forum rules apply here of course.

2. Please be respectful of my customers and keep in mind that I work full time, your commission may take as much as a week to complete depending on the detail and amount of work I have to put into it. People who harass me about hurrying with their work will either get really shitty results or I will cancel their commssion alltogether...with a refund of any payment given of course.

3. If you are disatisfied with a particular piece on the basis of the recording quality I will rerecord your song ONCE, and once only and allow you the option of taking the better of the two. The rerecorded piece will be identical musically and in terms of the lyrics as the original piece.

4. Have fun, that's what Gaia is for.

Prices and Ordering Details

My prices are directly determined by the amount of work I have to put into a particular piece. Below is a standard price list determined by just how much customization you'd like in your song:

Parody Song with Minimal to No Studio Effects - 8,000 gold
Parody Song with Polished Studio Effects - 10,000 gold
Completely Original Song with Minimal to No Studio Effects - 15,000 gold
Completely Original Song with Polished Studio Effects - 25,000 gold

Ordering Information

To place an order simply make a post here using one of the above listed categories to tell me what type of work you'd like done. I'll PM you back once I've recieved the order and discuss with you the details of your particular song and what you'd like done. Simple as that.

Once your commission is completed I will initiate a trade with you and upon recieving your payment I will send you a link to your song, recorded and saved in mp3 format for your listening pleasure.

I do accept payments in the form of donation items as well as pure gold, if you want to pay in this method please post what item you wish to pay with at the time you make your request for a commission.

Previous Projects

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING SONGS: If you wish to download any of the below listed songs that are linked then all you have to do is click on the link. A new window will open and the download should begin. If you are using Internet Explorer then it may give you a warning saying that the download was blocked. Just click on the bar towards the top of the screen for "more options" and select "Download File". Save the mp3 file to any directory where you can find it and it will play in any mp3 player whether it be a computer application such as Winamp or Windows Media Player or in your iPod.

Here's a list of all the previous projects I've done along with who they were for. I use www.filelodge.com for all my hosting for this purpose but I will send the song to buyers in mp3 format via MSN, YIM, or AIM file transferring.
