April 18, 2005 : We moved to a new thread, to celebrate new things forth coming and it's just easier than shoving stuff around... Mar. 19, 2005: Hired Artificial Anonymity.
Mar. 04, 2005: Set up hiring thread for Colorists.
Feb. 24, 2005: Got world description set up and fixed the story some. The formatting went whacko for some reason. n_n;
Feb. 22, 2005: Non-marking covered eggs seem to be easily found for those that know how to find them. So Pales found a few more that were mysteriously left alone. We are now seeking good owners!
Feb. 21, 2005: Doing flatsale today. Hope it goes well.
Jan. 25, 2005: Almost done, got all of the main banners done..I'll work on section banners while filling in content.. =3 I had to redo quite a bit of them so that it is all consistant..
Jan. 20, 2005: Started up the thread, gonna replace all the text headings with Banners and dividers..Yuhp.

Rules:

1. Respect everyone.
You've heard of the "Golden Rule", I'm sure? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Please abide by this. If you anger the staff, you will be Grey Listed the first time, banned for a week the second time, and Black Listed the third. Baseball rules apply. If you anger the regulars, they have the right to PM this account and let their grievances be known.
2. Do not steal.
It's just not worth it. An art thief in a forum such as this is meat thrown to the hungry lions. Honestly, use some common sense. If you steal the art, we'll find out. That's why we keep records of what we have. A lot of people put their time and effort into this project. Respect that.
3. Obey the rules
The base rule is, naturally, read the rules. However, these rules are in place for a reason, friends. So let's keep everyone happy, healthy, and focused on where we can go.
4. Listen to the authority.
If someone on the staff asks you to stop something, desist with all due haste, else you may find yourself on the Grey List. There are reasons for what is asked-- if the staff asks something unreasonable, talk to Dovaxy about it.
5. Keep it in the family
The Gauze-Mizin family, that is. If you've lost interest in your Gauze-Mizin, please let Dovaxy know. She'll quietly take care of it. If you sell your Gauze-Mizin, be aware that we'll find out about it and hunt you down.
6. Payment Plan.
We allow you to pay through a payment plan for any FLATSALE Gauze-Mizin. HOWEVER there are certain rules which accompany this.
...........a. You must make a down payment of 1K
...........b. You are not eligible to participate in any events (excepting RP events where nothing is bought) until your Gauze-Mizin is completely paid for.
...........c. Should you not pay the entire amount in a timely manner (within a quarter of a year (three months for those who don't want to do the math, time subject to extend if you speak with Dovaxy and give her a good reason) we reserve the right to take back your Gauze without refunding the gold.
7. 1337 - Don't.
Let's get it straight from the beginning. ||07 3/3|2y1 <4|| |234|> 1337!!!1one!! Thus, don't use it. I really, really enjoy reading full, complete sentences. And even if u only use chat spk a lil lik this... it still gets annoying rather quickly. It doesn't take too much thought to write neatly. If you use 1337 or chat speak in anything but jest, you will be Grey Listed the first time, banned for a week the second, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Eee, can I have one?
A. Sure. Just gotta wait for a flatsale or an auction or any other event that offers them. ^^;

Q. How much are they?
A. They will be 3.5k or so. Depending upon the type and stage. More to come on this later.

Q. Will breeding be free?
A. Afraid not. Colorists need to be paid so gold will be asked for.

Q. How much per breeding then?
A. 6K for a breeding spot, split between the owners of the pets. Thus, 3K a piece.

Q. Can I buy potions for later use?
A. If they are available, yes, you may.

Q. Are you hiring?
A. At this moment? Not unless you've already worked for W.o.M. If you have, and you wish to still, please PM brokenraven. If not... spots may open up eventually.

Q. Do you do pet trades?
A. Soon, yes. Now? No.

Q. Why is it so 'expensive'?
A. It's not. For the amount of stages you're getting, it's not.

Q. Is this ALL of the lineart?
A. Of course not! raven's notorious for stalking lineart auctions. But for the moment, we work with what we have.

Q. How do you know the gender?
A. Magic. And foresight. Yes... actually, it's a secret passed down to raven.

Q. How do we affiliate or get you to put our shop links up in your shop?
A. You can either ask in thread or in a PM. Give a link to your shop or give a link and a banner and we'll get it all set up.

Q. I got my tag and stuff, but do I direct link?
A. Yes, please! I have them hosted in a seperate account for such things.

Stages


So, I suppose you want to know what these pets look like, right? Well, there's two breeds of pets here, the Sirens and the Gauze-Mizin. The Sirenz are magestic water dwelling creatures and the Gauze-Mizin are land loving creatures.
















Sirenz
All Sirenz go through the following stages of growth. Your activity with them depends on their growth rate, it can be anywhere between 1-3 weeks. The more attention you pay to your pet, the faster they'll grow.

[ .Egg. ]
This is the begining stage of your sirenz' life. At this point in your sirenz' life there's not much it can do. It can twitch (or wobble if you want to call it that) and breathe and that's about it. You can see colors that represent what your adult will look like but they don't give you much detail or description. It's probably best to keep your egg in some warm water and watch over it. Taking it out of the water runs the risk of letting your egg die. Siren eggs only get oxygen in water and all living things need oxygen.

[ .Child. ]
Your siren is now a child and it definatly behaves like one. Siren children act about the age of an eight-year-old human child. Siren children have beautiful tails and they now show most of their adult colors. A child can't leave the water unless it's just popping it's head out to say hello. Like the egg stage, children need oxygen and they can only get it from the water.

[ .Adult. ]
Your siren is now an adult, phew that's a relief. Your siren now mostly relies on itself and doesn't really need your help much anymore. It now has beautiful colors to make it different than other sirenz and they are now able to breed. Adult sirenz can stay out of the water for a short period of time because they've now developed ways to breathe in air.

Gauze Mizin
All Gauze-Mizin go through these stages of growth, it takes longer to get to adult form but eventually all Gauze-Mizin get there. Growth rate all depends on the attention you pay to you're pet and the amount of you put into your pet. Gauze Mizin take 1-4 weeks to grow between stages.

The eggs are usually born in pairs. The pairs are generally male and female, and considered twins. The eggs themselves are the size of a hatched baby. Very rarely are there eggs born with the same gender as it's twin (ex: male/male, or female/female).

Female is on the left, male is on the right. Anyways, the eggs hatch into these little beings. They go up to about the shin on a human. It takes a minute or so for them to open their eyes, and about an hour for them to walk. They communicate through primative telepathy, which means all you get from them is feelings, such as hunger or sadness. Though nothing complex.

[ .Child. ]

Female is on the left, male is on the right. The baby grows into a child. They are very curious, and they are capable of human speech as well as a speech of their own. They seem to not use telepathy as much as there is no need because they can now vocalize their needs. At this stage they are about knee or thigh height.

[ .Teen. ]

The child develops into a teen. They are starting to ...notice eachother. They begin looking for mates. They also tend to be a touch rebellious at this stage. At this stage they are about waist to abdomen height.

[ .Adult. ]

At this point they have a mate and maybe had a few eggs by now. ^^; They are very devoted to their mates and to their children. At this stage they are about the size of a horse. It seems they go through a major growth spurt.

Important! Yes, Sirenz and Gauze-Mizin CAN talk. They can understand the english language and speak it fluently when they're old enough. Also, each species can talk to each other in thought (Use <> to indicate thought when RPing)

Events


So, you want a World of Myraida pet, ey? You'll have to obtain one through some kind of event so let us explain them shall we?
There are three normal ways to obtain a Siren or Gauze-Mizin. The most obvious way would be a speed flatsale. Another way is through an auction, highest bidder gets the pet. Or a raffle, drawn from www.randomizer.org . There also may be special flatsales such as RP flatsales, scavenger hunts and maybe even games to keep everything interesting.





Basic Flatsale Rules:

1. Flatsales go by a first come first serve basis so please don't whine or complain if you didn't get the egg you wanted. If anyone complains they will be put on the greylist for temporary banishment and if it happens again they will be blacklisted.

2. Post the number of the egg you want and the color. Sometimes people mess up and don't know which number is which so the color lets us know you got the right pet.

3. Wait for me to post " GO " in big red letters before you decide to buy a pet, if you don't follow this rule you'll be ignored.

4. One pet per flatsale, even if you're getting a pet for a friend. If both species of pets are being flatsaled at the same time you may get one of each.

5. Send all trades to W.o.M. HQ unless stated otherwise in the thread. It's just easier to send things out this way.

6. Be respectful, patient and have fun!

Auction Rules:

1. Donation letters and items are accepted. Letters of the month are worth 4k and everything else should be Mid-EVIL.

2. Co-owning is allowed, make sure you state that you're co-owning in your bid and who it's from. Ex.
Brittany
Face veil (50g) and 200g
Tiffany
800g
Total: 1050g

3. When you bid please total your own bids, I don't want to go around searching for prices on things.

4. Don't bid what you don't have. Hm.. I wonder why you shouldn't do this. This is a given, don't do it or you'll be immediatly blacklisted.

5. Anit-snipe is in place. During the last hour (60 minutes) of the auction anyone who bids will extend the bidding for 20 minutes.

Raffle Information:

When there's a raffle all tickets will be 100g, this will NEVER change. All trades are to be sent to me (W.o.M. HQ) as soon as tickets are purchased. Anyone who doesn't confirm the trade won't be added the the ticket list. All raffles will be drawn from www.randomizer.org .

Looking for something that's different? These might be better for Gauze-Mizin. We have some sweet oats and some sweet grass for all those pets that like to stay healthy but like to go wild at the same time. Sweetgrass or sweetoats are 30g each.

Does your pet get lonely sometimes and does it need something extra to snuggle? How about getting them a plushie, then they can cuddle it all they want. You can get a cuddly lion, protective dragon or a snuggly bear. Each plushie is 100g.

Guild is mostly for RP, there is a place for OOC Chatter but please keep it to that thread. You are allowed to make threads about RPing and RP events if you wish to. Please ask me before you go off and make an event, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Journals are in the guild, anyone who doesn't want their journal anymore please contact me and I'll remove it. If you'd like a journal set up please tell me, I'd be more than happy to set you up with one. Journals are optional and they are used on your own time. I WILL check journals to see who is active and who isn't. People who are active in journals and threads will get perks and their pets will grow much faster.

Roleplay Information


I know what you're thinking, "Ohmigawd, these pets are roleplay required? Oh noes!" ..but keep all thoughts locked away until I'm done.

Okay, first thing's first, these pet's are NOT roleplay required. A lot of people like to RP so we give you the option of RPing. All roleplaying can be done in either the thread or the guild. Either way is fine with us.

People who roleplay always get perks, it's just a given in the breedables forum. We don't have elder stages but we do have extra things we can give out to the people who make an effort to actually care for and play with their pets. I can't tell you what you'll get because nobody really knows but just think of how happy you'll make me by roleplaying and having a grand ol' time. It's like a two in one deal without the uh.. calories?

You want a place to roleplay your pet and show it off at the same time? Wow, you're crazy sexy cool, aren't you?!?

Journals are optional, nobody has to have one but it's nice when you have a place to put artwork, pictures and roleplaying ideas. So, for all you people who love to be organized and what not I'll set you up a journal in the guild all you have to do is ask. Please ask in the thread or in the guild chatter section. Don't PM me, I don't want my inbox to get cluttered.

People who don't have journals we understand, not everyone has time to post in a journal and what not. So, we give you the option of having one or not. Please tell us when you first get your pet if you want one or not. You can change your mind later on if you wish.
