Story

Beneath every beloved legend there is a deeper legend still, etched in ancient stone. The hunt for the Unicorn horn has been a quest long saught after for many millenia. Men have risked and lost their lives searching for something thought to be non-existant. A myth created by women to woo their children to sleep. Man has seemingly always been fascinated by a world, something fantastical they cannot touch...
Some do it for riches...
Others for fame...
Some to cure their loved ones of a once thought uncurable sickness...
Others have searched for the horn for its infinite powers...
And then there are the few who are protecting the Unicorn, sending others on misled paths across the globe to save the gentle beast. This is a tale of hardships, of battles won and lost...
The search for the horn has surpassed centuries whether it be elves and dragon to Roman and Norse. The last unicorn was seemingly found and killed in 1315AD.
Now, in the 21st century a man by the name of Arthur Peril has discovered a rip in the dimensions. He has found a way to trenscend time and save the mystical creatures... Or so he says... Perhaps he is out to gain the power of the horn and the endless riches it promises. For now, in a world ripped by terror and disease... A man would do anything for power, immortality, wealth or love... There are many faces to the die that holds our destiny. Which side will you be on?

He eventually fell into depression when both his parents were killed in a car accident. He was adopted by his aunt and raised to be successful. Whilst travelling through the Atlantic Ocean a crew member of his was thrown over board in a storm and sucked into a tear in the dimensions. He was brought back to a time when they were still hunting unicorns. The ship soon passed through the tear and rescued him. Ever since then Arthur has been searching for a crew to go back through and is willing to pay them millions of dollars.

14. Internal Workings (Example: Is the person sickly?): Whenever she is in the midst of a heated battle she ends up passing out, this is caused to her fear of killing someone who doesn't deserve it.

Bio (Preferably detailed): When Mirage was a child her name was Mary-Anne Arlent but when her father disappeared searching for the unicorn horn to cure his wife she began training herself to become deception itself. She can blend into almost any situation which is how she received the name Mirage.
Usually hated by most anyone she comes across, she was once engaged to a very wealthy man named Erin. He had always tried to control Mirage but one day she left him with less a hand. In a fit of rage he banished her from his land in hope that she would die alone. When she managed to survive for over a year, Erin sent out a petite woman named Arielle to finish her off.
Although Mirage seems unphased by Arielle's frequent appearances, secretly she wishes the woman would just drop dead.

7. Appearance: Amon can usually be found with a cold gaze in his eye and a slight frown on his face. Medium legth raven locks fall slowly before crimson eyes, rumored to be that shade from being tained by blood. A scar runs through his left eye, a memory of a feiry past. His skin is tanned from constantly being outside and in the sun and his figure is thin and lithe, hiding a strength that seems unnatural from his size. He is constantly seen wearing black. His tunic made of a thin cloth, hangs loosely around his body, the neck cut in a V-shape, revealing part of his defined chest. A blood red sash holds up a pair of pants made of a similar cloth as his shirt that also hangs loosely. Finally, his feet are protected by thin leather shoes, stopping just below his ankle for more flexability. Amon rarely wears his gloves unless fighting, or in a place where he believes he may end up in a fight.

9. Personality: The man seems to be a cold heartless being, however, it is from seeing too much death and betrayal. Deep within his hard exterior beats a kind, gentle heart. Very few have ever seen his kind side, and those few, died long ago.
10. Hobbies/Interests: Fighting, reading, and drinking.
11. Educational Level: Averagely educated, he went through the regular schooling and was a decent student.
12. Talents: Amon is a skilled martial artist, and has an odd talent to almost seem to read people's mind's through eye contact. However, his predictions arent always...perfect.
13. Reason to search for Unicorn: He wishes to find the Unicorn in order to kill it and use its horn to take revenge upon the man that betrayed him.
14. Internal Workings: He's a complex man who wishes to have so many things. To repent, to avenge his people...to find love. He's reluctant to kill, but will do so if needed.
15. Bio: Amon was born in a small village renouned for it's martial artists and skills in hand to hand combat. It was said that one of their fighters could defeat ten armed and armored soldiers with his bare hands.

The oldest of three children, he was looked up to, and his parents expected perfection from him. Perfection that he couldnt give. He was a trouble-maker. Always getting into some scam or stunt. Amon was the designated clown of the village. He was known by everyone, but only had one real friend. The top student, a boy named Lane. They were always seen together. The clown and the prodigy. Soon, they would be known as a near unbeatable team in the village. Amon finally had acheived the perfection that his parents wanted, except in his own goofy way.

It was then, when Amon was merely 13 years old that tragedy struck. An unknown force destroyed the village, wreaking havoc on the entirety of its people. Amon attempted to fight, but he fell unconcious after a blow to the back of his head. When he woke, he was alone. Traversing the destruction that had been his home, he came across another survivor. Lane. They set out together, leaving their past behind them, and went forward into the unknown. For two years they traveled together, training, becoming stronger. Then, one fateful day, Lane attacked Amon. The boy was no match for his friend and soon fell at Lane's feet, beaten, a slice through his left eye. Lane told him that it was he that destroyed their village, and that the only reason he allowed Amon to survive was he needed a plaything to toy with. Lane had finally become bored of the boy and left him for dead.

When Amon rose once more, he swore he would take revenge on Lane. However, he knew he was not strong enough alone. It was then that he decided to track down the unicorn, and use its horn to aid him in his vengance.

Ever since, Amon changed. He became the cold and seeming heartless person that the world now knows. A ruthless warrior that is feared by all, and cared for by none. People have begun to spread rumors that he was a murderer, one who killed for no reason, giving no care for human life, despite the fact that he has never taken another life...yet.

Despite his unstable childhood, it didn't seem to affect him all that much in the long wrong. Although somewhat dorky in highschool, he was never hard pressed for women in College who found his brains more than his brawn appealing.

Winning prize after prize for fixing mechanical problems in seemingly flawless equipment, he was recruited by Arthur to join the exhibition, offering him millions as well as the abilty to travel back through time. The only catch was Devlyn had to design a machine to stabalize the tear in the dimensions.

Bio: Jade MacMorne is a good steady woman who married her childhood sweetheart the moment they were both done with NAIS (New Avalon Institute of Science) She loved and adored her husband as he loved and adored her. They did well together, working on Terra 1 in the R&D section of a pharmaceutical company. They and their five year old daughter Diana were living a dream life before the Red Plague came to the planet.

The Red Plague is a disease that effects your circulatory and immune system. It breaks down the white blood cells till they are warped or none existent, and heat the body causing high fevers, patient feels short of breath and their heart begins to speed up. The pours open and the subject begin to bleed to death and can no longer naturally clot their wounds. They are dead within a few weeks of incubation.

Jade's husband has already died from it. Diana has caught the disease. And now Jade is fighting for her daughter’s life.

Bio (Preferably detailed): Halt was left in a forest shortly after birth because of a prophesy that he would end the lives of his people, He was attacked by a Unicorn for a reason that at the time was unknown to him, wounded and on the verge of death a Man resuced him and raised him as a son, As he grew so did his hatred of the unicorn that attacked him which lead him to destroying his people and begining his war against the human race.

Just a little something I would like to tell everyone who is joining or even THINKING of joining this roleplay. I am pretty sure, almost completely positive that this is not all about roleplaying. This is about making friends and having fun. I have always believed that you can learn a lot about a person through what they write. It reveals a little bit as to what they actually think. This is a place where we can create our own world, a wonderful place filled with almost whatever you would like. Because this is your story, your tale, your way of showing everyone how you write and what you are passionate about.
I have been a part of Gaia's roleplaying community for a while and I have made some fabulous friends whom I love to death. I am hoping you will find the same joy I have found... And perhaps you and I can become friends as well. Thank you for your time and enjoy!
