Okay, this is my first contest, so bear with me if you will.
This is a SHORT STORY contest. Please know the different between a short story and say...a novel.
And please read this WHOLE post, so you don't miss anything.
Rules
1: Stories must be between 3/4 of a page and 35 pages to qualify. Try to make it over 2 pages though.
2: Stories must be PG-13 or lower. I'll let you figure out what's PG-13, but some things are obvious, like no detailed sex scenes and such.
3: Stories are allowed to fanfiction or original, but fanfiction has some requirements.
A: Judges must be able to read and comprehend the story without having reference to the fandom.
B: Disclaimers must be used.
4: Stories must be your own work. Anyone found to be plagurizing will be disqualified immediatly.
5: All genres are excepted.
6: I advise you to make sure that your story has been edited for grammer and punctuation. Judges don't like to try to decipher bad spelling.
7: You may only submit one story.
8: WIP's are not allowed. The submission must be a complete story. If you feel it should still be allowed into the contest, let me know and I will tell you if it is possible or not.
Judging Guidlines

A:Reader Enjoyment
B:Originality
C razz lot Consistency
D:Spelling and Grammer
E:Characterization
F:Reader Comprehension
Each point will be judged out of ten, so each story will be judged out of 60.
The judges are:

4: princessMeep
I trust these three to judge fairly without favortism or rascism and such, and I hope you will too.

THE ENTRY FEE IS FUNDING THE PRIZES! Okay, I've had people say that the fee is too high, especially for a first contest, so I'm lowering it. A lot. For those who have already submitted the gold, you'll get a refund. The new price is 300 gold.
1st: Half of the entry fee submissions
2nd: 1/4
3rd: 1/8
!!IMPORTANT!!
There will be at least 10 contestants for thuis to pull through! You have been selected as a contestant when you have submitted both story and fee. To reserve a spot, send the fee. I have changed the fee! Notice this!
Judging starts on August 10th. If we have more contestants by then, the prizes will not change. If we have less than 10, the prizes will have to be re-thought, and judging will still commence.
