An Introduction

Any of you that know me well, or seen me posting about Ginoman quite a bit already, will have been waiting for this thread to surface. Well, here it is.

A month ago today, a theory -- which started as a purely satirical one -- started to form in my brain. The longer it sat there, the more I found myself believing that there may actually be some merit to it. The theory? 'Seth's Spidermanesque Theory'. I'd noticed several links between the Halloween 2k5 manga and the Spiderman universe that I know and love, which lead me to making a thread. After a few pages I came up with the name 'Ginoman' and the rest, as they say, is history.

I created a Ginoman comic series that I shared with my friends, basing his costume on the ElfTechs -- simply because we didn't know what they were and it seemed a logical thing to do. I then made an account to display the comics on when the CSS profiles were released. You can view the comics -- which I will continue to update -- by following the link below. I may also begin to post them here, but it's hard to say.

Then, today... Well, anybody that's seen the new storyline update will know that Ginoman truly lives now. Everybody told me that I was mad; told me that I was either a crackhead or a prophetic genius. Luckily for me, it turned out to be the latter.

This thread is likely to grow as I think of content to fill up the first posts, so please forgive it's apparent emptiness for now. Anybody who would like to create some graphics for the thread is more than welcome; there will undoubtedly be a post for fanarts and such.

Please also note that this thread is by no means a hang-out thread. If it does ever become one, then I will personally ask for it to be moved. Please keep all discussion about Ginoman; after all, we are in the GCD.

Gino Gambino is presumed dead, but what better way to keep your identity a secret than fake your own death? Nobody would suspect that Gaia's new hero could be the boy that met his untimely demise such a short time ago...

Evidence:

Below is a list of real 'hard' evidence of Ginoman being none other than Gaia's own Gino Gambino. If you think that you can provide proof, please feel free; but please don't complain if I choose to paraphrase.

  • Incredible physical similarities between Gino and Ginoman.
  • Ginoman's motives match that of Gino; Gino has previously stated that he wishes to help people, which is why he reinstated G-Corp -- or at least, that's what he claimed.

  • Ginoman works alone, which could be explained by 123's apparent betrayal of Gino's trust.

  • Heroes are typically victimised before they receive their powers -- take a look at Peter Parker, for example -- and Gino matches this description. It would explain why he chose to use his powers for good, too.

  • What 123 said to Gino sounds incredibly similar to 'With great power comes great responsibility', don't you think? This is exactly what Peter Parker's Uncle Ben said to him, which inevitably lead to him using his spider powers to fight crime.

  • Ginoman fell down from the heavens and saved Sasha when she was in trouble. Gino promised that he would see Sasha again and, due to his feelings for her, is likely to try and save her from danger.

  • Ginoman is opening the Gambino Mansion in Durem for the New Year's ball; only members of the Gambino family, or those close to them, would have the ability to do this I think.

  • Ginoman announced that he wants to kiss Sasha, a girl to whom he 'made a promise that they would meet again'. I doubt that very many other people who happen to look like Gino in the first place know what his last words to Sasha were.

Theories:

The list below can only be described as 'theories' really, though that may be too general a term. Basically, anything that links Ginoman and Gino together, be it a theory about the origins of Gino's powers or attempted explanation of past updates, it's below. Again, feel free to contact me if you think you have something worthy of being on the list.

  • In Spiderman, the villain known as the Green Goblin gained his power through a formula that he -- Norman Osborn, all-round rich guy -- had paid to have developed. The virus created by the LabTechs was originally supposed to be a formula to help with cellular regeration (or so we were told) and I believe that the intended purpose was to make people stronger. I believe that, during H2K4, one of the LabTechs mentioned that the vial would enable them to create an army, but I will check that.

  • Any 'strength serum' that Gino took would inevitably have some form of effect on his brain, namely amnesia and a comatose state whilst his body adapts, if we stick to Spiderman logic. This would explain why Gino could not recognise his father following H2K4. It's also possible that the strength serum causes people to develop much faster than they should, which would explain Gino's speedy growth between April 2k5 and his return, as well as why he is now as big as Jack and Mecha-Santa.

  • I don't remember Gino being seen at the Halloween Bash 2k4, even though Gambino was struggling to pass the entire event off as Gino's birthday party. The Secret Underground Test Facility was locked down for much of the event, possibly because Gino was being worked upon. Gambino was incredibly disappointed with how Gino fared in the Olympics and, based on his previous parenting skills, it's possible that Gino was chosen as a test subject -- or that he wanted Gino to become stronger; become the son that he wanted so badly.

  • Though Gino claimed to have re-instated G-Corp in order to help people, might have decided to continue research in hope of a cure for his condition or because he needs more of the G-Virus in order to sustain his level of power. When I say 'condition', I am referring to my assumed side affects of the G-Virus; he may be growing continuously with no sign of stopping, may be experiencing bouts of random angst... It's hard to say, really.

  • If the pills given to Gino by 123 after his return were anything to do with his condition -- as the last surviving LabTech, 123 may know of the experiments carried out on Gambino's heir -- then it would explain why Ian wanted to reveal Gino's secret to Sasha. It would also further explain Gino's rapid growth, as Ian stole his pills.


These lists are both likely to grow with time. Watch this space!

If the rest of this thread didn't get the point that I believe in Ginoman across, then there are two possibilities. The first is that my thread has failed completely; the second is that you've skipped directly to this post. This discussion post is likely to change from time to time as it's impossible to discuss one post for an incredibly long period of time. However, past discussion posts will probably be documented here, so that anybody that wants to reference a previous discussion can do so.

Okay, I just woke up and found that there had been another plot update featuring Ginoman. Now, from his speech it's obvious that it is in fact Gino; even Sasha's realised that and she'd an idiot, so it must be true. xd

But 'Masque'? Sure, I never expected the admins to call him 'Ginoman', because it wouldn't have made sense in the storyline; people would have known it was Gino because his name was Ginoman, thus defeating the point of a secret identity. But I was hoping for something else. Masque just seems to obvious.

What are your feelings on Ginoman's new name? Are you actually going to start using it?

I think that, quite obviously, the first discussion topic should be Ginoman's first appearance and whether or not you believe in him. I know that when I saw him appear in the manga I went: "afdaosfjmafs"; I believed in my theory, sure, but I didn't expect to see Ginoman in a Manga. I really really really like his costume, too; it's much better than the costume that I'd dreamt up for him.

How did you react when you saw Ginoman for the first time? Did you know of my Ginoman theory before this thread, or is this thread your first experience of the crazy workings of the inner mind of Seth? xd

There's plenty of other discussion to be had on the subject of Ginoman; don't feel that you have to limit yourself to the discussion outlined in this post. In fact, I'd prefer that you didn't stick to it; it'll be more interesting if I don't know what's coming. xd

Ha! Ginoman Lives! Question... If it is Ginoman how did he suddenly gain the power to overcome two of the most powerful holiday beings in Gaia?

Was it those strange drugs Ian found?

Was it the Mansion Disaster? Did something in the lab explode and change him?

Was it the superhuman strength that those in desperate situations sometimes have?

Was it his love for Sasha?

Or was it some strange experiment his father may have conducted on him?

....

or maybe...just maybe its because he is part elf... weird but could be true
