May I be the first to say welcome to Kitty's Moon! <333 Kitty's Moon is a shop made to help me with my book, "A Cat Called Kitty". You see, sometimes writer's block prevents the imagination flow ... thus my excuse for having a shop based on the story to inspire me. xD

My "book" (AKA story that I like to call a book but it's not published, finished, or even ... very good) is about a kitten named Seed who is seperated from her family when two rouge cats, Thorn and Fang, attack. She longs to find a home, even if it means entering the human world. With the help of a new friend, Cinnamon, she finds a destiny laid before her by the cat goddess, Poison. Soon she has many new difficulties to slay ... a new name (Kitty), adjusting to life with a dog, three pampered and rare Ocicats who are not very friendly to strangers, and worst of all ; a small ball of red fluff called "Redford", a wacky kitten who jumps into everyone's buisiness. And with the help of Redford, she looks back into her past to discover what exactly went wrong, and to journey back to her old home in the alley, and fight a devastating past.

Sounds tacky, no? You bet'cha! xD;; Anyways, this shops sells cats. No ordinary cats, either. Some of them have wings, some have horns, halos, all that fun unrealistic stuff. Of course, "A Cat Called Kitty" is involving real cats. But hey, who says my juices won't flow if these kitties are tweeked with magical stuffs? =D It makes them a whole lot more purtiful and fun with fairy, angelic, and demonic stages.

Some of the pets sold will be cosplays from the story. Almost all of the characters from the story will be sold in auctions or RP contests. The make-your-own characters will be sold in flatsales. And hey, if you've made a really interesting character, you can get the best reward of all, having it put into a *cough* book!

Another bonus of loving this shop to death is every week I will try to post a spifftacular chapter or insert of the story and how it's going so far ... So, yeah. 7. Please keep your uncerted KM within a normal size (that will not stretch pages, cut out, go against size limits, etc.) when in a siggy.
8. Please, no serious chat speak. Serious chat speak in my eyes is this "wooh i likz yor shopitz reely awezomez!!11!1" Yeah. Why don't you just kill me. Saying things like brb and ttyl are fine.
9. Respect all staff members.


RP Rules

1. These pets are, as of now, not RP required. However, please understand that RP is highly encouraged, and will benefit your pets. :3
2. If a kitty is a cosplay, you must RP it like the character would act. This will help me greatly with coming up with ideas for the book ...
3. If I kill off your character, stop RPing the cat on Earth. You may RP the deceased as parts of the sky, and souls that watch over the living, like angels. biggrin Just like Poison does, really. (Don't worry, if I plan to kill off your character, you will be told before having purchased it)
4. Don't dare start godmoding. Godmoding means doing things that are unrealistic, such as a cat picking up a boulder with it's tail. Not going to happen.
5. Please don't RP other people's pets. It gets on their nerves, and mine aswell.
6. I know these cats have wings, but please don't RP them as flying animals.

7/28/06 - It's re-activation time again! xD Friday-Sunday we'll be holding all kinds of events, including a (for sure) dice roll and trivia-based flatsale. .. more ideas to come. x3 We welcome a guest colorist, FelineOddity, with these events.

Also, I have decided to lift the RP required rule. However, please understand that you still cannot go 'poof! O:' after aquiring a pet. I am serious about this. I have decided to lift the cert required rule, aswell. However, please keep your uncerted KM within a normal size (that will not stretch pages, cut out, go against size limits, etc.) when in a siggy.

Unfortunately, the Halloween events were too late when people finally started participating, and the prizes are aged out. I think I will save them til' next year. 10/15/05 - As you can see, there are some slight changes to the thread. I put up an updated map (thanks to Shaduma, the artist!) and fixed up some things here and there. <3 The first flatsale has ended, and now we can look forward to some upcoming Halloween events! 0_0!!

Infant : These little guys can talk, just not very well. They stumble about on the floor, as they cannot walk very well, and need their mothers by their side.

Kitten : Oh, gosh. You own one? Welcome to the living underworld ... 0_0

Adult : Now your kitty is finally a tom! ... or a she-cat. XD Adults can have kittens of their own. Just warn them before they decide too, because some of those kittens, like my baby Red, are little shimungas.

Top Left Hand Side :
It's the city... where human factories give off black exhaust, shiny-pelted monsters roam freely across the black roads, and worst of all, home to many pounds and humane societies.

Top Right Hand Side :
Would you look at that ... the human neighborhood. 0_0 Don't wander there, young kitties ... the humans might snatch ya'!

Middle Left Hand Side :
An abandoned alley, trashed with junkyard items ... home to many stray cats. Monarchies of cats origin here from Poison. But who will become the next king?

Middle Right Hand Side :
The lake; a body of water near the alley. No touchy! Stay away young kitties, you might fall in. >.<

Bottom Side :
The Golden Lands! 0_0 Creatures from all over visit these lands, for when the sun shines in sunset, the lands turn a sparkey gold, thus the name. Home of the oak tree baring a single, silver leaf.

Kitties are sold for 6k each in flatsales, however, raffles and auctions may vary. If you want to adopt a KM in a flatsale, there is a series of steps you must take. I will post a RP prompt five minutes before hand so that you can look it over. At that point, posting is not allowed until after I post go. After I post "GO!" in large, red font, you may start your engines! You will have a half hour to respond to the prompt. I will continue to accept prompts five minutes after I post stop. Please post it in the shop. I will choose a few winners and put them in certain places (1st, 2nd, ect) for their origionality. First place winner will recieve the egg of their choice, second place will get any other eggs besides the one that has been claimed, and so forth until there is only one egg left for the last place. Grammer does count. Send the trade immediately after I post the winners. After that, please fill in the adoption forum (I will post it after the flatsale has taken place). The certs should be posted soon after. =D Good luck!

FelineOddity will be coloring for this flatsale. This is a new type of FS for KM. O: It will be trivia-based. I will give you a set number of (completely random) trivia questions (probably 20+), and go through them all, one by one. The first person to get a question right gets a certain amount of points (depending on the difficulty of the question). Whoever has the most points after the set number of questions have been asked, wins.

If I decide to do this flatsale all at once, the winners will be asked to pick their prizes in order of who got the most points, and so on. If I decide to carry this on throughout the weekend, then there will be only one winner per round. Feel free to suggest which should be done.

Quest system? Customs? WTH?
Occasionally, customs will be offered when the colorists are willing and able. The custom price will be 200K and will be basically a create-your-own. You create a character and weave them into the story of the cosplays.

But I don't have 200K?!?
No problem. A quest system has been designed to allow dedicated RPers a chance to recieve a custom without paying 200K. Here's how it would work. Once a guild has been formed, wannabe questors can PM this account with a rough profile of their dream cat. Once approved, they will be allowed to make a Quest Journal in the guild, titled with [Q].

So how does this journal work?
This journal will include a profile on their dream cat, a profile of the questor themselves, a log of the gold they've saved towards the quest, and various prompts the staff will throw at them. You must respond to the prompts as the dream cat, developing their personalities and their essential persona.

Okay.. so when do I get my custom?!?
Once the staff agrees that the questor is dedicated and has a solid character, they will be offered the custom character for 100K. By the time the custom will be offered, it will be possible to recieve 100K. Questors must be dedicated, because people who start quests and never touch them again will not recieve their dream cats.

Naming : Please try to keep the names of your stray characters all natural. ex : Seed, Leaf, Moss, Pine, Flow, Soot, ect. This is, however, not a rule.
General Setting : Alley & neighborbood (see map)
Wing Usage : In RP, wings, halos, horns, and anything unrealistic mixed into the story is frowned upon. From time to time, I may allow your characters to hover, as their wing span is not very long.

Poison - belated cat goddess, now the sky
Ursameow - one of Poison's "eyes", aka star, big dipper, represents Poison's bear friend

Naming ceremony - process in which a mother cat gives each of her kits a name and its meaning or purpose

Over-all Plot :
After the death of a famous cat, of which the cats had previously dubbed a queen, the stray cats of the alley are in rampage to take over her title as king or queen of the alley. Rouges have joined forces to take over, and will attack any lone cat. All is hectic. In the Housekitty homes, there are mixed feelings about taking in the filthy, yet desperately in need of food and shelter, stray cat families who have been targeted among the caos. The allies, and even the safe and humble Housekitty homes, are about to break into even greater danger as the rogues grow more powerful. What will your characters do among the caos?


It isn't nessesary that you follow along with the plot, but it is encouraged. Just know that while your character is eating tuna out of a silver dish, there are sad little strays out there. D:

Price : 25k (may be split between owners of parents)
Litter Size : 2-3 kittens
Birth date : 5+ days after payment (unless more time is requested for RP)
Born as : Newborn (as the egg stage is only used in flatsales)
Conditions : Both owners of the parents must be an active roleplayer.
How it Works :

Roleplay -
Are your cats ready to be parents? Well, a few days after payment, they will be! The she-cat will give birth to 2-3 kittens, which you may or may not act out in roleplay. In roleplay, for as long as they are still kittens, they must stay with their parents, even if you decide to give them to different owners. Either that or they can be abandoned by their parents. The only rule is that they cannot just pop up out of no where and claim that other, made-up cats are their parents, or roam the streets with no past of how a kitten ended up there. Roleplay it out! The new owners (or same owner) must still keep up with the owner of the parent kitties in roleplay. After all, they must visit their mommy and daddy every once in a while, no?

Deciding Upon a Litter Size ...
This is really up to you and your luck. One parent owner (you can choose who of the two of you) must roll a dice in the shop, with numbers 2-3, and see where it lands. If it lands on 2, you'll get two kittens in your litter. If 3, you'll get three kittens. Make sure to roll the dice soon after you both have paid, and good luck! 0_~

What to Do? ...
If you would not like to keep all of the kittens, you are free to give them to friends, RP prompt, or raffle for free. You may also choose to sell them through auction, as long as 75% of the profits go back to the shop.

Q: I just noticed the gender on Redford ... what on Earth is a Hermaphrodite Chimera? 0_0
A: A Hermaphrodite is a genetic mutation ... a mix of both male and female. A Chimera has the DNA of two cats (or any other animal, including humans). The siggy pet Redford is based on a real cat, my baby Red, whom really is a one in a billion Hermaphrodite Chimera.

Q: Why are there only two questions here?
A: Because I am a lazy poo and don't feel like talking about anything other than my cat at the moment. XD
