Welcome to Gaia! ::

He smirked, noting her unwitting means of trying to make him laugh. Vampire jokes... if all else failed, it was to pull those out. But they did put a smile of his face, they were minute but it was a start. Eve was it? She had a name he might not of placed upon her figure. Yet, it was just as exotic, nevertheless.

"Vampire or no vampire, why're you here?" That was perhaps one thing he could not answer for the life... or more less vampiric life of him. "I came here... because it was the same park that I was bitten at over two hundred years ago. I know that they'll never return but I guess... it's home for me."

She was being nosy, and as much as he hated it... he enjoyed himself. Most people didn't take time out to get to know him. She was, and internally, Callisto was very grateful.

"Name's Callisto... you can call me Cal if it's easier to remember. A pleasure to meet you, Eve. And please do watch your neck..." Leaning down, his hand stroked very lightly across her fair, pale skin. "We vampires love a pretty necks."

Still, he did look over his shoulder to the girl, eyes glued to her book. She was creeping him out, and he didn't do anything... they didn't know one another at all! So why was he drawn to her in a way that was not good. She might of known the real reason why they were as they were. Callisto knew, and it scared him.

The red light changed green, the red hand was now a walking man. The crowd of peopel broke out like horses on the run. People pushed, shoved, softly insulted if someone went too fast, or too slow. The Man continued to stand where he was once before, arms locked behind him as though he was forced to stand.

His head shook back and forth, as though he was looking for someone. It seemed it was in vein for he walked forward once more, seeming to get lost almost once more.

Serena was shooting small glances at the two of them from behind her book but the vampire didn't look back again. It wasn't until she'd realised that she had been reading the same paragraph in her book over and over that she closed her book and stood up again, the boy seemed to be having some sort of effect on her and she couldn't concentrate, nor could she confront him while he was talking to a human, so she walked out of the clearing and waited outside for him to finish his conversation so that she could catch him as he walked out.

*~she hurries after him as she struggles to form a word in her mouth. one she never expected to call~*

GRIFFIN!?

*~she yelled over the noisey people as she almost caught up to the man being very thankful for his hesitation at the light. she didnt know if it was truelly him or not. but she figured if it was....he would reconize the name if not her. luckily his wait gained her the time she needed and her hand came to rest on the mans shoulder. she did not know if it was really him or not....but she decided it was best to take her chances. she could fend herself off if trouble arose~*

"200 years?" She repeated, raising a brow. It was a thought provoking concept. Her physique lied to others about her own age, because she was older than she appeared. On the other hand there was Callisto, he only looked around the age of 14, but.. 200 years ago? Regarding the age, yet despite both of their appearences, she suddenly felt like a child.

"Ah--" She began, yet paused when she felt a soft hand lightly touching the delicate skin of her neck. Her lower lip trembled, just slightly and barely noticeable, it was rather invading. However, when she thought about it, the previous question she had asked was also perhaps just the same. For now, she guessed it was one all.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Callisto.." She watched him glance over his should again, how many times had he done that? He seemed nervous. "Is there something wrong?" She asked, following his gaze over to the girl, who shut the book she was reading and walked away to somewhere Eve couldn't see.
The young man now slumped against a tree seems to be smiling and conducting something with his finger. "It's a shame I can't do this all day, I should get to looking around for her." He starts thinking back to that day when the woman with long free flowing raven black hair and rum colored eyes came to their door asking to stay the night. He then snaps out of it. "I wonder if she bothered to keep the Kampfpistole? Only one way to find out." He looks around again, and notices two people that had been there as long as he had. "Well, it's a start." He begins walking over to them.
"Not that long ago you know." A smile pushed against the corners of his mouth. Embarrassed as to where his hand sat at, it was retreived and both arms were stuck into his pocket. There was a look in her eyes that he saw, she was noticing him stare at another. It was rude to stare, even more offending to neglect the only person willing to open up and actually enjoy something called a 'heart-to-heart' moment... while knowing that he was not exactly human.

A gentle look swept over him- Callisto felt happy. Eve, in ways he did not know, brought petite rays of sunshine into parts of his life where it may of continued to stay dark. "And a pleasure to meet you, Miss Eve." Bowing down to her in both respect and out of normandy, Callisto reached out, taking a gentle hold of her hand and left a light mark upon which to have her remember him. A kiss, a flicker of his lips upon fair skin. It was duty, honor, and habitual for a lady's hand to be marked, usually a kiss, upon introduction. At least, as he was brought up so long agao. Dropping the soft ivory back into her lap, his masculine figure was once more straight into attention.

He could feel himself wanting to stay a while longer. Talk, sing, laugh, watch her dance, watch him whittle, anything. It was the way that she looked so innocent, rather immune to the world and it's horror. Or maybe it was because he had met so many humans, it was the first time that the vampire would just be himself with no one judging his manner. Whatever it was, it was an honor that he had. Her soothing presence wrapped him up for the harsh bitters of what would come after and what told him it was time to go. Had he not been on his quest to find the true meaning of what happened to vampires, he might of stayed. .

"I'm afriad I must leave you now, Miss Eve. There is business to attend to. I would love to tell you yet, this is not the time nor place or even readiness for you to hear." His eyes stared at her hurt as he stood, pushing out a smile. "We shall meet here tomorrow! Same time, yes?" There was that kid look to him again. It would never change... at least not for a long while. Bowing once more to her, he turned, and headed for outside the park. Another day... -Yes,- his combating vampiric voice said -... Another day, but not today. We must find the other. She may know what happened... She may be able to clue us in.-

The man was about to go when to name Griffin! stopped him in his place. It seemed... familiar, but it was not his name. He was Greg... but the starting of the 'gr' did catch him off guard. His eyes did look over his shoulder, but they were not to her, but to others around in the crowd. Had someone called him? It was as he turned around that a hand gripped to his shoudler.

"AH!" his voice screamed as he jumped up slightly, whipping around to a girl smaller than himself. "Oh... my miss. You cannot scare me like that. May I ask was it you who was calling me?" He had had her wrist at first tight for he did not know who it was but now rather limp in his own hand. His eyes were not of amber but of a more chestnut color. Hair was indeed black but it was not as she might of remembered her brother seeing.

((-gasps- That's a lot of writing!-))

Serena was pacing back and forth outside the clearing, her hands clasping the book behind her back as she walked. Passing people were giving her strange looks and were walking round her in a wide arc but she ignored him. "How much longer is he going to take? I might as well leave for a minute and come back later." She thought to herself then looked up, her eyes scanned the crowd and she sighed slightly before slowly walking towards the exit of the park.
The young man watches as the young boy walks away. Well time to be rude, although I don't like it. He called out to the young man. "Excuse me sir. Pardon me if I'm bothering you, but have you seen a young woman around here? Long black hair, rum colored eyes, and perhaps a strange looking pistol?"
"Can't help you there," his tone was as though he was born and raised somewhere in the heart of New York City. He wasn't... but visiting it enough did give him the accent when he wasn't in a mood to talk. "Try asking the lady I was just with. She might of been able to help you." Not once did he stop walking, he did not have time to play good neighbor. HIs mind burned with one question- Did she know?

As he closed in on the spot he could od sworn he had last seen her, she had vanishe, but was soon seen walking to the exit of the park. ONce there, she was gone for good. The city was not exactly his favorite place to be in the daytime. Hustle, bustle, angry parents, screaming children. There were annoying as ever. "WAIT!" Callisto called out, hoping she might of heard him through it all.
((mehsa be back.. it's about that time for lunch))

Serena looked back as she walked, he still hadn't emerged from the clearing, she sighed and turned to look back in the direction she was walking and was just in time to miss bumping into a lady. "Excuse me." She said quietly but the lady had already noticed her eyes and had walked off. Suddenly behind her she could hear someone calling out "WAIT!" and she turned back in time to spot the guy from earlier coming towards her through the crowd, she waited patiently for him to catch up.
((Food sounds pretty good right now. I'll have to do that when I leave, in about 4 hours sweatdrop .))

"Thanks for your time." He tries yelling back as the boy walks away. Well, you can't win them all, especially not these days. He turns to where the young lady had been standing and tries asking her the same question. "Have you seen a girl with long black hair, rum colored eyes, and maybe an odd looking pistol?"
He continued to see her flicker into his eye sight. Damnit! I need to catch up with her! He thought, almost ready to stop in his tracks and walk back, empty handed. There was still something inside that made him push just a little farther ahead. Rolling his hand back against his hair, pushing it away from his face, he saw that she had paused long enough for him to show up.

A miracle... I forget sometimes how sensitive our hearing is! It was no excuse.

"Found you out.. finally," his voice seemed a bit out of tune and ihs breathing out of the ordinary. He stood, his hands still binding his hair and black hair twisted behind his ears.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she waited for his breathing to return to normal. "And what exactly do you mean you found me out, I would have thought you had already guessed what I was." She said this last bit quietly, though it was still loud enough for him to hear it.

His breathe was not long in returning to it's normal pace. Man, did he hate running unless it was necessary. I would have thought you had already guessed what I was.

"Miss... your eyes are perhaps what give you away. No human that I have yet to see shares eyes what look like fresh new blood." He smiled, standing up straight and there was a friendly look to him.

Reaching out, he took her hand as he did every other woman he had to get ready to meet and kissed it softly. His eyes stayed glued to hers, in case she tried to hit him for being this way.
