The Paths
As students you have to choose a path to follow. There are four paths with different methods of training. Here follows a description of them.


The Path of Athropos
This is the aggressive path, the one that teaches its followers to wield Death and all of its incarnations as a weapon. Rot, decay and corruption are left in the wake of a battle with one of the followers of this path. Followers of this path are the most dangerous necromancers in the world, killing and crippling their enemies with unholy magics only a Necromancer could master.

The Path of the Puppeteer
Necromancers are renowned for their ability to control skeletons and zombies and make them their slaves... but that's not all there is to it. Followers of This path will learn to enforce their will over inanimate objects, not just corpses. Wielders of this kind of Necromancy are NEVER alone.

The Path of the Soul
Death is so much more than merely the body ceasing to function. It also involves the Soul departing to... where does it go? Followers of this path delve into the spirit world and shape it with their minds, bending spirits to their bidding and exerting their own will over them. Students of this path can affect peoples souls, binding them, capturing them, healing them Or imbuing them into objects or soulless bodies. It can be both horrifying and merciful.

The Path of the Flesh
This path is the most Gruesome but also potentially the most powerful one. According to followers of this path, The body is a machine and the necromancer is a mechanic. The are able to shape, mold and change this machinery as they like, adding to or removing parts of the body with tools or through their magic. Advanced users are able to mold flesh like clay, making them frightening opponents. Frankenstein was a follower of this path.

Different Locations

The Forest
The forest around the academy is dead and withered but far from empty. Some things managed to escape the academy during the second year and now wander the woods aimlessly.

The West Wing
The West wing is far less luxurous than the East wing and the main hall. From the main hall one passes an exquisite garden on the way here. The West wing is the training hall for Puppetry and has a number of rooms filled with broken skeletons, lifesized mannequins and more or less fresh cadavers.

The East Wing
The East wing houses the dorms as well as the dining hall. It is very festive and decorated with expensive curtains, exotic carpets as well as paintings and flowers. It is also equipped with a great library and serves as the main training ground for the students of The Path of the Soul.

The Main Hall
The main hall is the room that provides the first impression of the School. It is A great room with a set of stairs in the center. It has busts of the most eminent students of the past placed along the walls and a thick crushed-velvet carpet run along the floor.

The Hall of Magistrates
On the second floor lies the Magistrates quarters. These halls are lined with dark wooden panels and hold pictures of all the greatest necromancers of the past, made immortal through Art. The Magistrates offices and personal rooms lie here.

The North Wing
Fumes of ungodly potions and concoctions meet you when you enter through the thick iron doors into the north wing. This is where the laboratories lie and alchemists research various effects and chemicals. this is where students of The path of Flesh train.

Castle Garden
The large and massively overgrown garden between the North wing and the main building serves as breeding ground for some of the creatures manufactured. It reminds the visitor of a petting zoo from hell. Herbalists also grow plants here to be used.

The Sanetarium
In the Outskirts of the Academy area, an old mental institute rise mournfully over the area. Screams echo through its marble halls and madness hangs in the stagnant air so tangible it can almost be touched. This is where the Failures of each path are contained, for everyones safety.

Catacombs and The Crypt
Beneath the main hall writhes a number of tunnels Infested with various types of undead creatures leading to the crypt. This underground mausoleum is the main training ground for the students of The Path of Athropos.

The Colosseum
And finally, even further into the earth lies an ancient Colosseum. this partially ruined area is a replika of the one found in Rome, only smaller. This is where the final exams are taken since almost all of them involve Combat in one way or another. this is also where students and magistrates alike can settle their differences.

*Psychee walked over to the meeting room and checked the table. Five seats, one for him and four for the other masters. He walked out and headed down the old marble stairs towards the main hall. there was an eerie silence through the entire castle. It was always like this between the new arrivals and the previous batch of fully accepted sorcerers.*
