Our Story

A long time ago (okay, not really that long) a woman named Tenshi Kuronaho was building a new home for her growing family out in the middle of bufu. During the construction several pendants where uprooted from the earth and placed in the woman's care. Being a demon who collected souls for a living, the young woman could tell these items where possessed. It was then she took those items to another one of her friends to further inspect them. It was discovered that these items where possessed with the reincarnated souls of beings long past.

Being excellent business women, the two took the pendants that they could not raise themselves and rented out a small abandoned office building and turned it into an adoption center. Somehow, more and more pendants managed to find their way into these two women's hands. Eventually, one of the benefactors of the establishment retired and moved far away from it's location in Gaia, and left it in Miss Kuronaho's hands.

For those who are unfortunate enough not able to bear their own children, or for those who are simply into collecting kids like action figures, this establishment waits to give you a young (but not necessarily loving) ward to take home..

I hate to interupt an RP but I promised Psyren I'd post this two days ago. So I really need to do so now. gonk

It has been brought to my attention by Psyren that we have been getting a multitude of complaints about how the shop is being handled. I'm not pointing fingers or mentioning any names, because I'd rather avoid a fight/furthered aggressions/or hurt feelings. Just be known that it's several people who have been making these complaints.

So, we, as the shop owners, have a few things to say.

We have been trying very hard to get this shop up and running again. But there is only so much we can do. I have been with this shop from the very beginning. I've been here since its' original owner who left Gaia and along with her went one of our artists and our main colorist. I have been with this shop threw several revival attempts with just my hands working at it. And with the beloved help of Psyren and Nova we managed to get the shop up again. Sadly, however, our artist has disappeared and we haven't heard from him in months, so it is safe to assume that he has abandoned us. It would be great if he came back to us, but fact of the matter is we need more artists before we can further growths.

My computer is just not up to par to keep up with the art responsibilities anymore. And my time frame isn't that helpful ether. It has taken me over a month or two just to finish one toddler form. And most of this is simply because my computer, as faithful as it has been to be over these past six plus years, cannot run paint shop pro or adobe anymore without terrible lagging and frequent crashing. It's even a chore to get my scanner going.

So on that note, until we get some new artists, we cannot dish out anymore growths. And let's face it, nobody is ever active in any shop unless there is the promise of growths. I'm sorry I can't give these to you, but we're trying our best to fix this.

As for the inactivity, how are we supposed to control this? I'm not trying to harp on anyone (seeing as many of the owners here I have known for years and I consider them all friends) but a shop is only as good as the people who run it AND the people who buy from it. We have lives just as much as anyone else and if we can't find the right people to help us out (both as employees and as customers), then we either keep searching or we give up (and neither Psy nor myself want to use the last option unless it's really deemed necessary).

So, we're done with the rehashing of information. You want to make the shop more active? Fine. Post. Update your journals. Get RP's together and do them. Advertise this contest. We're not expecting to have major artists just stop in and get to do our art and people here but, let's face it. We had a good artist and he went AWOL. The owner before that went AWOL, along with our other artist. I can only do so much art and dear Psy has no art skills whatsoever. (So very sadly true! - Psy)

Once we find a new artist that is on the same level if not better as the ones we have had in the past, there will be growths! We promise! But until then, if you want this shop to come back to life, and you want us to put as much effort we can into reviving it: DO YOUR JOBS AS WELL!!

I am always willing to RP with owners and their children. So if you ever want to RP, simply send me a PM saying so or send me an IM over AIM (mushroomkitty8 cool . I have children in all different stages (baby/child/teen) so I'm sure I can meet everybody's needs! I'm sure Psyren and Nova feel the same way. (Psy does! Drop me a line at mwaters18 or PM me for RP!) So please do not send us anymore PMs or comments complaining about how the shop is being upheld. We're trying our hardest, now it's your turn too!

How to get an ACC



Want an ACC child? Of coarse you do. It's really quite simple to get your hands on an ACC. First, check the owners list. If the child you want isn't already owned, then you can go onto the next step! Check the availability posts. We tend to avoid flatsales and auctions here (accept for VERY popular title characters) so keep an eye out for custom slots to open. If they're not open, start stalking the shop and making yourself known. We wont feel the urge to open slots if we don't think anyone is interested.

* Not following the rules after warnings by the staff (or mods) will result in blacklisting, a permanent ban, confiscation of ACC children, and/or a very early and agonizing death. By mutilation. Or by sporks. Your choice.

Rules:

* Be polite and respectful.- This means no racist, forceful religious, or hateful comments. If somebody says something that you personally have a problem with, take it out in IM or PMs, not here. Do not say something that would purposefully upset or offend somebody. Unless of coarse you are joking, if you are, make sure it is known that you are not entirely serious. And even then, try to avoid prejudice comments.

* Send payment to AnimeCosplayCenter- If you have one a flatsale/auction/custom please send your trade as soon as possible. No child will be delivered without the proper payment.

* No whining, begging or harassing the staff or owner because you couldn’t get a character you wanted.- There are literally hundreds of anime out there with thousands of other characters you could choose from. Just because somebody else has a character you like in one show doesn't give you the right to emo trip. It's very annoying, and will only get you on our bad sides.

* Do not type in chatspeak. Please be literate.- This is of coarse unless you are playing around. But always, ALWAYS be literate when RPing.

* Keep all posts PG-16 or less- This means if your character is in a violent or sexual situation (we know it will eventually happen when they get older) do not be overly descriptive. Try to be as vague as possible. If it where up to me, I wouldn't care what you say, but we have to follow the Gaia TOS.

* No god-moding during RPs- This means no controlling another's character. Weather it is harmful or beneficial to the character, it can still be very annoying and unfair when somebody does this.

* DO NOT PM THE STAFF.- If you have a question that cannot be answered on the front page, post it in the thread. If you are filling out a pre-approved form for a child, PM it to the shop account. Never, I repeat, NEVER PM an individual staff member with a problem you may have.

* No reserving of pets.- This means you cannot come into the thread when there are no custom slots open and say "I reserve insertcharacternamehere for when a custom slot is open!" that's unfair to others, and just isn't going to happen.

* NO ART/IDEA THEFT! - I think this is a pretty obvious rule as is. But I wanted to clarify that owners of children are allowed to resize and place the art of their children as they choose.


Additional Owner's Rules:

* MOST IMPORTANT! You must treat your child with love and respect. Bring them up right. Post often in the journal thread. Any inappropriate behavior and your child will be confiscated and you will be blacklisted.

* DIARY RPING: You must post in your diary thread or RP with the other guardians in this thread or an official RP thread at least once every month, unless you have notified the staff you are on hiatus. If you do not have the time in your typical monthly/weekly schedule to do so, this is not an adoption center for you.

* GENERAL RPING: All general RP will be in this thread, the guild, or your pets journal, until there is a clamor for an RP spot besides in here. We request that any RPing not done in your diary be copied into or at the very least linked to in your diary. That way we can keep up with when and where you've been RPing.

* HOW MANY CHILDREN: You may only own two children (or one twin set and one singleton). Don't get greedy, since each one is completely unique. -New- In very, very, VERY (and I do mean very) rare cases do we allow 3. Only the loyalest of the loyal and the oldest of the old members get these kinds of opportunities to have a 3rd ACC child. In order to be able to get a 3rd child you have to pretty much be ether staff, or have been here for at LEAST a year and have at least one of your children to adult/teen. You seriously have to be of the VIP++ here to get a 3rd child.

* DIRECT LINKING: PLEASE do NOT direct link. You will be able to monitor growth by looking at the front page of your diary. We do have bandwidth, ya know.

* GOING AWAY: If you are going away for a while, as long as you let us know that you're unavailable, we'll put your child's growth on hold until you can participate. If you do not notify the staff, and are suddenly gone for more than one month, we will move your child/children to the inactive list. So take note!

* INACTIVITY: ( This is different than "GOING AWAY" )
If you do not post at least in your journal or in the thread (a paragraph or more, literately *no chat-speak, etc*) then you will be placed on the INACTIVE list. If you do not reply to the "warning PM" or stop into the thread within a 6-month period (from when you were on the inactive list) then your child/children will be taken away (and possibly rehomed) with NO REFUND. Pet Trades are exempt from this rule, but will not grow without some sort of activity.

STAGES




Pendant : The quietest your child will probably ever be. It doesn't have any specific needs as of yet, but the more you talk to it, hold it, and pay attention to it, the stronger your bond with your child will become. At this point, the little one will show likes and dislikes of certain things... Be careful what you do to the pendant.

:: Pendant Stage Requirements ::
* One IC Role-play in the ACC thread or guild. (or three journal entries)
* One Entry in your journal concerning the home life or receiving of the Pendant.
* One weeks time from receiving the Pendant.



Baby : Ssssh, don't be too loud. Your baby just came to your home, arriving in a cradle-basket, and is very tired from traveling across time and space to get there. So they will sleep a good deal of this stage. They will need to be fed, cuddled, and occasionally you'll have to change their diaper, but they will mostly sleep. Their personalities start showing now. Any special abilities they have will begin to manifest, and you need to be on guard for 'accidents'.

:: Baby Stage Requirements::
* Five IC Role-plays in the ACC thread or guild. (or fifteen journal entries)
* Five Entries in your journal Concerning the home life and growth of the child.
* One Month's time from receiving the stage.


Toddler : Out of the basket and into the world! Well, not quite. Your little one is much more active and will interact with you more, and they'll start to play with their toys and your other pets. They'll be starting to walk and say their first words, and they can start playing with one another now. Be forewarned, toddlers will attempt to get into anything and everything you leave unguarded, so be diligent and baby-proof your house.

:: Toddler Stage Requirements::
* Five IC Role-Plays in the ACC thread or guild. (or fifteen journal entries)
* Five Entries in your journal Concerning the home life and growth of the child.
* Two Months time from receiving the stage.



Kid : At this stage, your child will start speaking in more intelligible sentences, become more responsible, and can move about without assistance. Their friendships will grow stronger, and they can even make some enemies. They'll be in more control of their abilities, and will start toying with them for fun.

:: Child Stage Requirements::
* Ten IC Role-Plays in the ACC thread or guild. (or twenty-five journal entries)
* Seven Entries in your journal concerning the home life and growth of the child.
* One event that influences the child's life, recorded in the journal.
* Three months time from receiving the stage.



Teen : Moody. Defiant. Depressed. Puberty is a nightmare, but at this time more than ever your child will need your emotional support. They'll start showing interest in the opposite gender, and can be allowed to date, but they aren't ready for a serious relationship yet.

:: Teen Stage Requirements::
* Twenty IC Role- Plays in the ACC thread or guild. (or fifty journal entries)
* Ten entries in your journal concerning the home life and growth of the child.
* Two events that influences the child's life, recorded in the journal.
* Four months time from receiving the stage.



Adult : After all your time and patient care, your child is no longer a child, and they have reached their full potential. Any and all personality and ability quirks will have manifested by now, and at this stage they can select a lover and breed. Choose wisely, since they can only pick one lover, then they are together forever.

:: Adult Stage Requirements::
* Thirty-five IC Role-plays in the ACC thread or guild. (or sixty journal entries)
* Fifteen entries in your journal concerning the home life and growth of the child.
* Two events that influences the child's life, recorded in the journal.



??? : Tales are told that when a child has embraced themselves for what they truly are, they will evolve into a god-like Spirit. This stage is mostly unknown, but is going to be optional.
There will be no more advancements after this stage. Therefore there are no requirements.

BREEDING



BREEDING: Teenagers/Adults with a bond that is more than just as friends can breed. Not love undying, just a romantic bond or if it fits the persons character, an extreme lust. They don't mate for life, but they can only breed once, so choose carefully. Also, a yaoi or yuri couple is only possible when both partners are bi/homosexual in the show, manga or game they came from. Otherwise, it's banned to keep rabid fangirls away from devouring the shop. When a couple is blessed to be together forever, they will be placed on a new cert with both owners and both pets.

Who can my child breed/mate with?
Your children will be allowed to breed with whomever they want (given they follow certain guidelines) they can mate with you, another Gaian, and even pets from different shops. (although those require us and the owner of the other shop to work that out)

Guidelines that need to be met in order to breed.
- You must have proof that the character your ACC child is going to breed with have formed a bond worthy of lover status. -
- Pay the cost of the breeding -

Once those guidelines are met you can request a breeding slot only when a breeding slot is open. At which time you post in the thread "I would like a breeding slot for so and so with so and so" and after we approve this, send the money to the ACC account.

It will take up to at most two weeks for you to receive your child (and in some rare cases twins) At which point you can either:

A) Raffle or auction the child. (A percentage of the g between the staff and the owners will be met)

B) Give the child to a friend (after they answer a prompt to see if they meet our standards)

C) Keep it yourself (if you don't have two children already)

Also linking to an animation and claiming it as her own when it is in fact another person's creation.

Ebba - For most obviously copying the adoptable anime characters idea without asking me for permission. I will not tolerate clone shops at all.

BDaichi - For PMing us about adopting a child in a flatsale, quoting the front page and an announcement unnecessarily, and irritating the other thread-goers with ill-typed posts and general stupidity. stare

furydeath - for PMing the shop account (which breaks Rule Number 6) and asking a question that could of been answered by reading the front page, or asking in the thread. And then posting inside the thread after being told he is banned. Plus Harrasment of thread owners after being blacklisted.

Demon Daze - For spamming PMs on the shop account with no reasoning what so ever, and being a complete nusence.

About Nova: Alien Robot Warrior. Exiled after an incident forced her to take out a superior in combat.
