It’s crazy, but you’re all I want and need;
You win; I’m yours forever; I concede.

By Joanna Fuchs

Hello Gaia! It seems you've stumbled upon Windy and Kat's second annual PYP for Valentines thread! This year, we're making it more than just pictures of sexy people, and more of a hang out and an event. So please, take a look around and see what it is we're about. While you're at it, post a picture of your beautiful self, send out a valentine or two, and hang out with us!

❦ Mind Gaia's ToS.
❦ No flaming.
❦ No trolling.
❦ Be kind to all those you encounter in the thread. If you have nothing nice to say, please refrain from saying it.
❦ Please, don't rant and rave about how Valentine's day is a consumerist holiday designed by Hallmark to get people to spend their money. Yes - it's partly that. There is no avoiding it. BUT - What holiday isn't partly that any more? Aside from that, it's been around longer than consumerist ideals and it was first established in 496 AD. Just sayin'. (Though to be technical, the concept of courtly love wasn't attatched to the holiday until the middle ages or something. I think.)
❦ Smile, laugh, and remember that you are loved.
❦ More importantly, remember that you have people around you to love. And not just in the silly romantic sense that every one, including myself, is so caught up in.
❦ Please, no quote trees.
❦ Do not stretch the page with your beautiful faces.
❦ Try to keep proper grammar and spelling in mind when posting in here :3 Just for the sake of Windy's sanity!
❦ No duck face please! XD
❦ Don't be afraid; we don't bite.

What's the purpose of this thread you ask? Simple - Post a picture of yourself, and then hang out. If you see a picture you like; send that person a valentine. Too shy to let them know you think they're cute? Send it anonomyously :3 The pictures you post can be cute, or sexy. They can be serious or satirical. As long sd they're not you in your birthday suit, or you being serious about that duck face expression being "cute" we want to see it! All in all we just want to have FUN in this thread. So go on then! Meet some new people, see some new faces, and remember to laugh and smile.

February 12th: Splendid Color by windy-b e l l s_

The clouds broke, and rain poured from them relentlessly. Her laughter played with the torrential downpour, like a kitten with a tiger. Even in all the gray, she shone brighter than any star the bard had ever witnessed. She took his hand and electricity surged through him, bringing every cell to pulsating life.

“Come with me.” She said, her voice like a thousand little blue bells in the wind.

Adagio nodded, unable to say much as she tugged at him. In her myriad of colors, he could see a smile shine through like entire galaxies. He felt his own lips turn up ever so slightly as he took in the warmth of her happiness. Within seconds she was pulling him into a run, her delicate hand gripping his own calloused one with a soft sort of strength that he couldn’t quite describe.

Each drop of rain pricked at his flesh, soaking him to core. Each drop that hit him was almost a new sensation as he was pulled through the city streets. He saw nothing but clouds of grey and black around them, and found that with each step they took, Dominoh’s dancing colors grew impossibly brighter.

“Where are we going?” He nearly shouted over the rain, his voice booming like thunder.

“Somewhere special!” She exclaimed, her petalled voice swirling like ribbons through the wind. “Somewhere I keep secret!”

He chuckled and once again fell silent. He could think of nothing to say, for she had said it all. He could tell her he felt honored, humbled even that she was letting him in on a secret of hers. He could tell her that this meant more to him than he could express. That the sound of her laughter felt like a warm breeze in a mountain valley. That the feel of her hand on his brought something to life in him that he had long forgotten. He could tell her that she was like nothing he had seen before. He could tell her so many things. But he wouldn’t.

He wouldn’t say a word, because in her own way, she had said it for him. She probably didn’t even realize it, but in the very act of grabbing his hand, she told him that her colors were precious. That she knew what it would mean to run with him in the pouring rain. In leading him through the Gilded City, she told him that she was well aware of the life she breathed into his very being. Even if she didn’t realize it, she knew.

He could sense the city around him; he could feel the people that fled from the rain. He could even feel the eyes that fell upon them as they rounded corners, and splashed through pools of water. But it all seemed to be in the background. . . No, that wasn’t the word for it. While he could still place people thrumming with life, and feel the world that seemed so vast around him, he found that he felt more a part of it as Dominoh led him to a secret that only they would share. She was attached to the city and its inhabitants. More than that, she was linked to everything. And by holding his hand, she had made him realize that he too was attached to all this, no matter how separated from it all he felt.

It might have been an hour running; it might have only been a few minutes. They may have run the length of three city blocks, or they might have trekked miles through the cobbled streets of the city. It didn’t matter though, for when they came to a halt, she let go of his hand and laughed once more. Though she was no longer touching him, he could still feel the electricity of her contact on every bit of his chilled flesh. Her laughter was short lived, because she had to catch her breath. But her mirth was not. Her back was turned to him, and every bit of Dominoh’s rainbow aura was twinkling and dancing. He could feel her smile, which in turn brought him to grin. Her contagious joy made his heart leap, and his fingers itch. He found his cloud filled eyes were locked on her figure as she straightened. Every curve of her was beautiful. Every angle filled his mind, and lighted some fire deep within him that he thought he could never quell.

And then she turned to him, her thousands of colors swirling like mist around her. He grinned at her, realizing that his breathing too was labored as his lungs fought the urge to close at the sight of the jewels of her eyes, framed by the sopping wet silk of her hair. Never before could he make out every bit of her face – freckles of color mapped out odd splendor on her cheeks, as beautifully disproportioned lips parted to grin in return. For the first time in eons, he could make out even the eyebrows, perfectly shaped to compliment her wide eyes. He could see her small nose, and her ears that poked out from behind the mess of her hair. And for the first time, he realized how much he missed those small details of a person. How beautiful it all was. And once again, he found himself in awe of her.

“So, where are we?” He managed to ask, pulling himself from the gravity of her features.

“This is where I come to escape.” Domioh replied, looking around. With each movement she made, the colors around her seemed to jump from her flesh. “I suppose it’s nothing special. But. . .” Her voice trailed off, and she turned away. Adagio’s stormy eyes followed her, as she stepped further away from him.

He watched as her arm stretched outward, and her fingers grazed against a surface of some kind. As she touched it, colors lept from her fingers, and onto whatever it was she was touching. Adagio watched as these colors exploded to life, and brought together the shape of a wall, covered in vines. His grin faded, and his breath stopped. Standing out like a beacon amidst all the shadows, was Dominoh. And with a simple touch, she brought color to a decaying wall, and thriving vines. She moved away from the wall and gingerly touched the bark of a tree. Once again vivid color spilled out from her very being, and brought pulsating light to every crack in the bark, every leaf that hung from the ancient branches, and every freckle of imperfection that made the tree so glorious. The color she gave to it seemed to drip from the leaves and fall onto the ground below. With every step she took, the place around them grew brighter and brighter. Thousands of colors danced around him swirling like mist and vibrating like electricity.

“I love it.” She whispered as she knelt down to caress the petals of a peony that now shone like a million colored stars.

He hadn’t noticed it before, but the rain seemed much lighter in this secret place of Dominoh’s. He moved his gaze from her, and looked around him. They were under a canopy of trees, perhaps in a forgotten garden somewhere in Valora. Beyond the trees, and the wall, he could feel the city surrounding them and life in it rushing past the forgotten garden.

“It’s beautiful." He remarked, soaking in all the vibrance she had spread throughout the small paradise.

He felt her move and found himself once again staring at her. Though she had painted the entire place with her own aura, she stood there brighter than ever. He smiled at her as she made her way back toward him. She looked to him, her own gaze filling him with something he couldn’t quite place. He felt her small smile and stepped toward her.

There was no thought in his next action. He reached out and took a gentle hold of her hand. He pulled her closer to him and looked down at her. She looked up, her smile still there, but her cheeks now glowing like rubies and sapphires.

“Thank you.” He said in a whisper. He watched as a confused look crossed her face and had to fight back a chuckle.

“For what?” She asked, her own whisper sending a sort of mirth throughout him.

He let go of her hand and cocked his head to the side. For the first time in a while he couldn’t find the right words to say, and it made him so very happy. After a long moment he finally replied, “For all of this.”

She furrowed her brow and looked at him for a moment. He could tell that what he had said made no sense, but a lot of things he said made no sense. He laughed to himself, and shook his head. Dominoh looked up at him, almost indignantly. His grin turned into a crooked smile and he took her face in his hands. Her skin felt soft against his finger tips and once again electricity surged through him.

He kissed her then, gently, as though too much force might shatter her. Her lips felt warm against his, and so very soft. He felt her tense at this abrupt action and pulled away, worried he had over stepped his bounds. He looked at her once more, searching for something. She smiled at him in the softest of ways and placed her hands on his. In this small gesture Adagio found what it was he was looking for. She said nothing and neither did he; so he kissed her again.

And again.

And again.

He felt her hands move from his, and rest on his shoulders. Her lips parted and her fingers found their way into the curled mess of his hair. Adagio’s own hands moved from her cheeks, to her waist. They rested there, taking in the feeling of her hips against his finger tips. With every second, their kisses evolved, and grew. Their lips parted, and their tongues mingled. Their breath became singular, and everything seemed to disappear but the feeling of her skin so close to his. He pulled Dominoh closer to him, the need for her body pressed against his own growing every moment. His arms wrapped around her, and she seemed to melt into him. Even through the cloth that separated their flesh, Adagio could not quite tell where she began and he ended. He could only feel the warmth of her, and the passion that her lips whispered into his own. The feel of her fingers against his neck sent chills through his spine. The feel of her lips hungry against his sent fire through his heart. He felt her own heart flutter against her ribs, and thought for a moment that he might get lost in its vibrations.
