Ruby Benson

It wasn't much of an event when Ruby left home, her mother was always busy working two jobs so once again it was only Ruby at home for the last week she was home. It had taken her awhile to pack and she was deeply sad that she had to leave, but she knew it would lead to a better life for her. When she had entered the raffle she didn't think that she would actually win, Ruby always had bad luck when it came to winning, so when she was told she had won it literally came out of nowhere. Her mother, of course, was sad to see her leave, but she was twenty-one already, it was about time that she had left home.
Now it was a week later and she was still technically moving into her new home. There were a couple boxes still left to unpack but most of her books were sent to the library at least. She still had a couple at home that she wanted to keep for herself, but the others she didn't mind if other people checked them out. When it came to picking jobs Ruby knew exactly which job she wanted. The bakery and Pharmacy were out of the question, she knew that she wouldn't actually do well at either location. While the Garden was interesting she didn't actually know that much about plants, the Library on the other hand. It was a quiet place where she could read as much as she wanted to but wouldn't be that taxing of a job for her to do either.
She wasn't the only one though that had picked the library though, Norman was there as well. He had brought his own books from home as well, and having looked through them already she realized they might have different taste in books. Her were all mostly fiction while it seemed he leaned more towards non-fiction. Which wasn't a generally bad thing but she still wasn't quite sure what to make of the guy.
Nowadays she spent most of her days at the library, like right now. Ruby was laying on top of one of the bookshelves, these things were actually pretty sturdy and tall. It wasn't unusual for her to hang out on top of them, Norman didn't seem to quite like it so she normally didn't get bothered. She had her headphones around her neck and she could hear her music playing through them. Technically she was working so she couldn't exactly ignore the library so she couldn't put them on completely. This was the only real comprise she could think of, she looked towards the entrance when she heard the door open. It was just Norman leaving for the day, seeing him leave made her remember there were a couple of things she needed to do today. In truth, she needed to go to the store to pick up something things to eat, the pharmacy for some bandages for her hands, but for right now she felt like chilling out in the library, she could do shopping later.
Due to lack of interest, tomorrow is canceled
Let the clocks be reset, and the pendulums held.
