Not sure if this has been said or not. I did not bother to read all the pages. But here is my desire and how I would like to be able to spend the gold:
Be able to purchase the ability to have multiple ranks within the guild, name those ranks and set their permissions. If you or anyone else play WoW, I like their system. You can have up to 10 different ranks and you can set what each rank can and can not do. The more a player does around the guild, the higher his/her rank becomes and the more trust they are given (but the Guild Captain + Vice Captain are the only ones who can rank people, just like it has always been.) I see this as both a possibility to convince people to be more active, because you get the reward of being ranked, as well as the new abilities to do certain things around the guild. Oh and I forgot to mention, these ranks appear under your avatars name and are color coded (BUT ONLY APPEAR WHEN INSIDE THE GUILD.) So players know at a glance who is who, see their ranks name and it's color. Then players know who the captain is and who crew are, in comparison to other members.
In general though, I and everyone else can agree that, Gaia Guilds need a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE overhaul. Guilds are years outdated compared to the rest of the site and need far more attention. Because giving us the ability to send guild wide announcements, after ignoring guilds for three (or more) years and then leaving us at the side of the road again. DOES NOT CUT IT GAIA.

- More ability to customize layouts. From the guilds main page to inside the guild. Even make it so that the Guild Main Page recognizes BBC tags properly, aligns properly and just works.
A scrolling updates at the top of the guilds page would be nice. Someplace where a Captain/VC/Crew can type in a message and it constantly scrolls at the top of the page. Oh and give players the option to minimize the scroll window.
New/SUPER UPDATED posting system (guilds need to recognize the same BBCode commands as normal threads).
The ability to hide sub-forums and by this I mean like a scroll down window you can minimize.
A forum pulse would be nice. Just like what normal forums have.
Flashing icons to show which threads have new posts (this system is in place but IT DOES NOT WORK.)
As I mentioned above, customizable and multiple guild ranks.
Make crew only forums invisible to member. Most guilds have a forum for crew only (or set unused forums to crew only), but it would be nice it those crew only forums did not take up space. This would help to reduce clutter for members, if they don't have to worry about seeing forums which they can not post in.
The ability to MOVE FORUMS UP AND DOWN. Seriously, if you want to move a forum you literally have to rename all your forums and move all the threads within each forum to their new forum. THAT IS A LOT OF WORK. I would like to be able to simply organize my forums without having to play the rename, relocate ever thread game.
To not have threads I move from one forum to another disappear off the face of Gaia. Seriously, could the minimal outdated systems we have PLEASE WORK. Is that to much to ask Gaia?

Just to add to t.48618609_107/#107 post. Not only have ranks but be able to purchase the ability to give individual players titles. Being able to rank them, giving them the ability to preform certain tasks, but also give them a unique title to go with their rank.
For example three players are rank at the same level but their jobs are all different. It would be nice to say this players ranked [__??__] is a recruiter but this player ranked the same thing is the recruitment team leader.
This may be a tiny bit complicated but say you have two vice captains. Being able to give them their own title, so players know their exact job for example, would be helpful.

++++++++CONCEPT #1: GUILD RANK SYSTEM
- I would like to see a "guild rank" system put in place (this concept was inspired by World of Warcrafts 10 rank guild system.) Which allows a guild to have up to 10 ranks. Each rank can be given a name and be give a custom color (the name can be seen under a players username, but only appear inside that particular guild.) Each rank has it's own permission settings, this allows the guild leader to allow different ranks of members to do certain things around the guild.
This system would be ideal for guild-wide role play guilds, whose guild is structured around a role play world. Each rank may allow a guild leader to create different lvls of users for example, or form a hierarchy within their RP's story/world.
This rank system can also be used as a reward system. More devout, active members are given higher ranks and different abilities. Both distinguishing them from other members (both in status and simply to show who are the "go to" players) and rewarding them for being dedicated. While the reverse is true, lower ranks can give the guild leader the ability to "punish members" without banning them (almost like a warning.) Making it so that the trouble making member can not post in certain sub-forums or threads for example, until they are ranked back up.
