tab Celaena caught the look her brother was giving her. If it was anything else, he would've agreed or let her run off on her own, knowing full well she could take care of herself. However, with the the hand upon her shoulder and the gentle squeeze that came with it; she braced herself for the words, she knew were about to come out of Jericho's mouth. Despite their feelings on the matter and their very vocal thoughts, her brother was right, she hated to admit it, they had a duty to uphold. It wasn't about upholding their duty to their king. No, she refused to do anything for that man ever again but instead she looked at it differently. If this arrangement would bring peace to her lands so they and her people could flourish, then she would do her royal duties, for her kingdom.

tab She would give her brother credit for still wanting to fight this but she knew, just as well as he, that there was no stopping this. If any of them, not just her and Jericho, could've stopped it, it would've been done already. Alas, here they were, at a place that would be their home for who knows how long. Cel remembered the very brief conversation she had with her king before they left their home, with her asking when they'd be returning home. Deep down she knew she would not be returning home, not anytime soon but she wanted to hear her father say it. The old man had simply refused to say anything other than he didn't know. He couldn't even meet her eyes when he spoke. It was then she realized that her father truly didn't care about her or Jericho anymore. "Jer, we both know we won't be able to stop it."

tab Her blue eyes held a sadness to them as they looked upon the castle and the lands, "Just like we both know I won't be returning to Uloc." Celaena loved her brother, she had always thought he was to overprotective but now she was glad he was. In this moment, her heart broke and the urge to run was pounding in her head but she wouldn't leave her brother. As a carriage neared the castle, she gave it a fleeting glance, already knowing by the flag and horsemen surrounding it, it was the humans from Asaon. "Everything will be alright brother." It has to be, she thought to herself. Leave it to her to try and be the optimistic one of the two.

tab It was then as she went to move towards the castle, that the humans came to a stop, followed by a very loud voice announcing who was in the carriage. Celaena let out a very unlady like snort before she stopped in her tracks and looked at her brother as the youngest princess fled the carriage and ran inside. "Couldn't be anymore subtle if they tried, could they?" Shortly after the fae princes arrived, their presence was announced the moment a doorman spotted them. It seemed since they were the first to arrive they didn't need announced which was fine with her honestly. As Rhys and Roan approached she caught the eldest eyes, how she wanted to approach him but instead she turned to her brother. "I think I'll retire to my room for a little bit."

tab Thundering hooves reached her ears as she moved inside the castle, the elf princess glanced over her shoulder to see the demons making their way towards the castle. "Seems my choice came at a good time." She wasn't trying to be cruel but there was no one she could lay eyes on her betrothed until she had sometime to go to her rooms and compose herself. After she walked inside, she hailed down a servant and asked to be shown her room. The servant led her up the stairs which opened immediately to a hallway with 4 doors on each side. Celaena knew immediately these were the rooms. The servant opened the first door on the left which revealed a quaint room. It was fairly simple with all the necessities and to much to her delight a fireplace with a small fire already burning. She murmured a small thank you and then shut the door behind her.

tab Once the door shut, Cel took a deep breath, she could feel the tears streaming down her face. She had tried for so long to hold it together but now that she was by herself and the reality was staring at her in the face, she broke.

She had to refrain from blushing as Damian sent another smile her way, one that wasn't there a second ago. His demeanor changed instantly so maybe whatever happened, hadn't been that bad. In a small town like this you never knew what could happen. However a small blush did redden her cheeks as the man's fingers brushed hers as he took the corn dog from her. The answer he gave her in response to her question was odd. "Really? What kind of weirdo are you that eats it plain?" Charlotte laughed, she had never before heard or seen anyone eat a corn dog plain, hot dogs that was one thing, but to put no ketchup, it was down right horrible.

Her eyebrows rose as Damian said he was apparently an easy target to walk into, "Which shouldn't be the case, really. I mean, have you looked in a mirror? I'm still surprised I bumped into you , myself." Of course, she was only joking. She knew how easy it was to walk into someone with festivities like this. A large crowd was hard to navigate, no matter the size of a person. She had her mouth to say something when the noises from the crowd got louder, turning into screams, she followed Damian's gaze as she watched people scramble for their life and then she heard, the loud bark of a dog. Now who on earth would bring their dog to the fair? She thought to herself.

However she soon received the answer to her internal question, as Damian started to crouch down on the ground and the massive dog came barreling towards him. Charlotte stood there unfazed and unbothered, although the moment the dog launched itself onto Damian and begin licking the man's face, Charlotte couldn't contain the laughter that bubbled up inside and spilled out. Watching the man and his dog interact was a sight to see, a beastly dog for a beastly man. There probably wasn't more of a match made in heaven then these two. Another snicker escaped her lips as she looked down at the happy dog. "No, he's not a ravenous beast at all." The woman started to inch towards the dog but then stopped. "Is it okay if I pet him?"

Mac stood at the helm of her ship, looking out over the busy port, her fingers tapping idly upon her crossed arms. She was agitated and the unknown reason was starting to piss her off. Her mood usually wasn’t like this, but she couldn’t shake this feeling that was upon her. A feeling that she was being watched and that sent a shiver up her spine. She wanted to leave port well before they were able to but she knew she still had crew that weren’t aboard the ship. They had docked a few days ago to replenish their supplies and to give her crew a much needed break; she didn’t like pushing them more than needed. Plus it was a rule her father had always set and she was trying so hard to be the captain he was.

Her brown eyes flittered amongst the people on the docks, looking for the signs of the last of her crew. Especially one man in particular, the new navigator; a Levi Slater. Their last navigator had gotten surprisingly ill and had passed away the next day. Jace had pointed out his suspicions but they were a pirate crew who knew how many enemies Cole had out there. Mac didn’t think much of it but she did know they couldn’t leave without a new navigator and so they had spread the word. The third night there Levi had made his way into the bar of the inn. At first, Mac and Jace had started to turn him away, until he had said he had a proposition for them. Of course that had set Jace on edge but she had just shrugged it off.

After making sure no one else around could hear them she had, not politely, asked the man to explain. It seemed apparently that word had gotten out that were looking for something specific and he had them map to exactly what they were looking for, all he wanted was the job. Jace had cursed under his breath and with a steely look in his eye had told Levi to ******** off but Levi wasn’t even looking at Jace. His eyes were locked onto hers, the woman had gone against rational thinking and her instincts when she said the job was his.

Two days later she was regretting it. Jace still hadn’t said one word to her but as much as that hurt Mac knew it would change once they left port. Besides the man couldn’t stay mad at her for long. The red head pulled out her pocket watch, a few more minutes and then they would depart, with or without Levi and the map he supposedly had.

No words were spoken the closer they got to the castle of Gour Corners. How he wished there was something he could do or even say to make this journey easier for him and his brother but he knew nothing he said would be good enough. It was bad enough the tension in the air could be cut with a knife, still he pressed on,keeping pace with Roan and his horse. By the time they had reached the castle, the fae siblings were already there standing and conversing among themselves, the human's carriage was there as well and he saw the youngest princess walk into the castle.

He had run away, only to be literally dragged back to the castle by his brother, bloodied and bruised. Rhys had seen the looks on everyone's face as they had entered but not one word was said. The horses came to halt in time for the doorman to announce their arrival which made him wince, he had always hated such formalities. He responded to his brother in the same tone, "Might as well get this over with." The young prince dismounted his horse, cathcing the eyes of both the elves. Celaena looked like she was barely hanging on and soon he caught the words that she was retiring to her rooms, he motioned for his brother to check on her.

Rhys knew about their friendship, the two were closer then they were and he knew if anyone could soothe her it would be Roan. Sure the elf siblings were exceptionally close but sometimes it took someone who wasn't family to make things better. A stable boy soon approached them to take their horses to the barn. It was then he saw the young princess of Aason bump into his brother before she jumped up and stole his horse. "That's my horse!!!" He yelled after her. The fae stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face. "I am not responsible for going after her." Then as if things couldn't get worse, the demons of Loir arrived, with his betrothed walking straight up to Jericho and started talking about playing with him.

tab It was like the weight of the world was upon her shoulders, crushing her to death. The tears slid down her face, coming faster and hotter, there was a vice like grip around her lungs, getting tighter and tighter with each breath she fought to take. Her legs shook, threatening to give out on her so she leaned against the door to her room for support, instead of the protective arms of her brother who held her in times like this many times before. The coolness of the wood felt good against her warm cheek as her anxiety attack ran it’s course. Cel felt so much like a child instead of the woman she was supposed to be.

tab Once she regained control, her blue eyes looked about the room. It’s was nothing like her rooms back home, so warm and welcoming whereas despite the roaring fire these quarters where cold and uninviting. The elf princess wondered how long they would be staying here in this dismal place. A loud noise brought her out of her thoughts and she walked across her room to the window and looked down at the scene unfolding before her. The youngest human princess was atop a horse leaving the castle grounds while Prince Rhys was yelling after her. But the moment the demon princess strode up to her brother, Cel’s blood ran cold. She knew Jericho could handle himself and while this was supposed to be a peaceful affair she had heard stories on the battlefield of the princess. Her eyes then moved as she watched Roan walk inside the castle, her heart skipped a beat knowing there was a chance of him coming to find her.

tab Soon enough there was a light rasp on the door. She had to contain the motion to run to the door and instead briskly walked towards it. Celaena took a breath before opening it, she knew her friend would frown at the sight of her red, puffy eyes. A small smile was upon her face as greeted him, “No. Please stay.” The elf princess opened it wide enough for him to enter and once he was in, she closed the door and then turned to him. What she wouldn’t give to marry Roan than the foul man she was promised to.

tab At one point in her life, she ran wild with the idea of marrying the man in front of her. What it would be like to be his wife, their future together. They had been very good friends for such a long time and while something more always lingered at the surface both were careful not to show it around others. Of course, her brother had once mentioned it to her but the glare she had sent him had shut him up enough he never mentioned it again or at least not to her. However that dream was shattered the moment her father sat her and Jericho down.

Even with his previous proclamation of not being responsible for going after the youngest princess of Aason to retrieve his horse, Rhys knew he couldn't count on anyone but himself to do it. He watched as the demon twins of Loir approached, the demeanor of his future wife immediately catching him off guard. He studied her closely, refusing to believe he was to marry the crazy witch. Just by looking at her, made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. How could his father pair him, with that she-devil. It was outrageous! The venomous creature went straight to Jericho, something he was grateful for, he was completely sure what would've happened had she turned her attention to him. Regardless the banter between Jericho and Drenlea was delightful to watch in a way. He was so absorbed into the moment he didn't hear his brothers words.

As the fae prince looked to his brother, he no longer found Roan near by. Still Rhys knew where his brother went, to go see the elf princess. He had often questioned both his brother and Jericho on Cel's and Roan's relationship, but both had been tight lipped about it and the he knew better than to go to Celaena asking questions, he feared her wrath to much. Growing more catious of the events unfolding in front of him, the Noanian decided now was a good time as any to go after his horse. He quietly made his way to the stables, borrowed his brother's horse and went off in the direction he last saw the human princess. He wasn't as bothered by it as he let the others believe, he was upset that she had taken his horse, without asking, but he knew the reason behind doing so. He didn't fault her for it, not at all.

Once he entered the forest, he kept an ear out for any sounds and looked at the path before him. It wasn't hard for him to pick up the trail of the hooves from his horse. It took him an even lesser amount of time to catch up to the princess. He saw her up ahead and called out for her. "Princess Alexandria! Princess! Stop please!"

tab The elf princess saw the way his brows furrowed as he looked over her, clearly upset with her appearance. Roan had seen her distraught many times before, along with the sadness in her eyes but he never had seen her cry. No, the only person who had ever seen that was her brother. As much as she tried to put on a front and keep her guard up, her brother and Roan had been the only two to break down the walls. But as she searched his face, she read the worry and unease, matching her own. As he spoke, it was like the sound of his voice wove a blanket around her, comforting her.

"You understand my reservations?! You're not the one marrying the devil!" She snapped. At the bite in her voice, her hands immediately went up to her mouth, her eyes widened in shock, she had never, never snapped at Roan before. Her blue eyes pleaded with him, "Roan.... I'm sorry." The young woman's blonde curls shook as her head moved back and forth. "There is no way to ease my anxieties or my fears for that matter." She was rooted in her spot as her eyes looked around the room anywhere but at her friend. "I feel. No, this isn't a feeling, I know," Cel scoffed, "My father has sold me off like cattle. Like I'm a piece of meat. And here I was a fool thinking one day we'd be wed instead."

At that she finally moved and as she did so there was a change about her. She had let herself have a moment of weakness and now she would do what she had to as much as the thought left a vile taste in her mouth. Celaena's eyes softened as she looked over at Roan, "We all wish we could at least everyone has that in common." She stopped moving the moment the prince moved towards her, smoothing back a piece of her hair. The moment his skin touched hers, she could feel the heat in her cheeks. She smiled at him, "I hate having you see me like this." They both stood there a moment, her eyes flicked down to his lips for a mere second before looking back up into his eyes. Her heart was screaming at her to kiss him, here and now, while she still had the chance but her head told her not to. She had a duty to uphold, one that did not involve carrying out her own fantasies.

The moment broke as soon as Roan stepped back. The elven princess shook her head, while it looked like she was answering her head, it also was a way of clearing her head. She cleared her throat, "No, I found nothing."

                          • tab It's the most wonderful time of the year or at least it was in Frankie's eyes. There was nothing the redhead loved more than fall.... well there were a few things but fall was definitely one of her most favorite things along with Halloween. She wished it could be fall all year round. Among the many things she loved about fall, like the cool, crisp air, going to a pumpkin patch, and drinking apple cider; Francesca loved the fall festival. It was something she looked forward to every year, what she didn't look forward to was how packed The Hunter's Lodge would be tonight. In fact, Frankie had stayed much longer after she'd closed the bar to do an inventory of her supplies to make sure she had enough alcohol to get her through the night, hopefully, what she had, plus the incoming midmorning delivery would do. She could remember the first year she had ran the bar and had run out of alcohol way too early, had left her with some very angry townspeople and since that night she had learned her lesson. Also over the last few years, she had learned to leave a list so people could write in a specific drink they would like to drink, like a certain seasonal ale or cider and somehow jello shots ended up on the list as well.

tab Frankie took one last look at herself in the mirror and sighed, while she wasn't overly fond of her costume she was at least comfortable wearing it. Although she had to agree with Beatrix the bar wench costume was getting old and she needed something new. It had taken them, well her, forever to finally decide on a costume. Bee had kept listing off different costumes before Frankie had come around and decided on ringmaster. However, this was not what she had expected, true the costume could've been worse, she had seen plenty where the girls were wearing only shorts, fishnets, shoes that looked like only a stripper would wear and a skin-tight top that made the models boobs pop out. She fixed her hat one more time and then left her house.

tab The ride into town didn't take that long, now trying to find a parking spot would have been a b***h but luckily she had her very own at the bar. While she walked towards the entrance line she thought about the costume contest Bee had brought up, she really hadn't thought much about entering the contest but something told her she should. The line for the contest wasn't as long as she thought, though standing in line with the shoes she was wearing, she was going to be in for it the next day. The redhead chastised herself for not coming up with a better idea for shoes so her feet wouldn't hurt as bad. Finally, she saw the clipboard come into view and jotted down her not but not before seeing Bee's and Rye's name on there as well.
There goes some friendly competition, she thought to herself as she walked away.

tab Now her main focus was getting some food but where to begin was the main question. Should she get something for an early dinner? A light snack? Or head straight for the desserts?

                          • While she thought this was going to be just an ordinary day at the festival, Frankie had thought wrong. Instead, she was being followed by a bunch of boys, yes boys, cause the catcalls that were coming out of their mouths was definitely something a man would never do. She had tried her best to ignore them, hell she had even tried to lose them but they were so damn fixated on her costume that it was seeming to be a lost cause. Damn her for not seeing about meeting up with a friend instead of coming alone.

tab "I can tame you baby," called out the first guy. To which she balled up her hands, causing them to laugh.

tab Then another one followed by saying, "I can make your kitten purr." Her stomach curled, her mind was frantically trying to come up with a solution, while she wasn't afraid of her safety just yet, she knew she needed to come up with a plan.

tab The third male called out, "Does your kitty want a snack?" Francesca prayed for a miracle for if they spewed one more vile sentence, the lord was going to need to intervene.

tab Then the first one spoke out again, "I can put that mouth to work."

tab The redhead had had enough, she spun around so fast the group had stopped their laughter, and just as she went to open her mouth she heard a familiar voice call out "Babe!" before she saw him. Her brown eyes went from the group to Jason, watching as he squeezed past them towards her. Once his arm was wrapped securely around her waist, Frankie melted into his touch. She much preferred this outcome than the one that happened many years ago in her bar when Jason Dye first arrived in Sweetwater. The scene had started out just like this one but instead of Jason pretending to be her boyfriend, he had started a barroom brawl, one had ended up with a broken nose, one a broken arm, the other had been knocked out. Though she wouldn't have minded if Jason had put those three in their place. The kiss he placed on her lips jolted her from her thoughts and she smiled up at him, "It's okay honey, I'm just glad you were able to make it."

tab She wasn't sure how much longer the group stood there before they eventually tucked tail and left. She was too busy trying not to blush at the current level of intimacy they were displaying. She had to admit, standing her with Jason's arm around her felt damn good, even though it shouldn't. Francesca had done a good job of hiding the crush she had on Jason for the past two and a half years, she didn't want to slip up now. She looked up into his green eyes, never noticing just how tall he was compared to her five foot three frame, the sound coming from her stomach caused her to laugh before she responded, "That's actually where I was headed." Frankie was still aware that Jason had yet to remove his arm from her waist. "Thank you, once again for coming to my rescue. If you keep insisting on being my knight in shining armor, I'm gonna have to take you to dinner."

                          • tab Frankie didn't know why Jason always seemed to be around nowadays when she found herself in predicaments like these. Hell, before Jason came to Sweetwater, she had handled those situations by herself, some ended bloody but they all ended with the cops being called. One might think by looking at her that she was sweet and innocent but once you got to know her she was just as fiery as the color of her hair. Her grandparents had always teased her that God knew what he was doing when he blessed her with her hair color and that it was a warning sign to the temperament of the young girl. Lord knows, she had her fair share of fights not only in high school or college but all throughout her childhood and adulthood as well, Francesca Astrid Dupree was not one to back away from a fight, ever.

tab However, she much preferred the outcome to this one. Maybe this was what was needed to push her to pursue Jason and by the look in Jason's eyes, maybe he was thinking the same thing. Her heart skipped a beat when he countered her offer, was she finally going to get the date she'd be dreaming of for the past two years? "Promise?", she beamed up at him, "But I'm buying your food tonight, no if's and's or but's about it, mister." She gave him or at least tried to give him a stern look without smiling.

tab Without warning, Jason removed his arm and it took everything she had not to frown but then he did something unexpected, he removed his hoodie causing her cheeks to heat up just a bit as his shirt rode up, her eyes quickly shot up to his face, not wanting to get caught staring. Frankie swallowed before replying, "Thank you, I didn't even notice I was shivering." Big brownie points to him, then he helped her put it on and fixed her hair for her! God, kill her now before she made a fool of herself! As he reached for her cigarettes, she quickly grabbed his free hand and entwined it with hers. If he or anyone asked it was just a precaution in case those guys came back, yeah, that was it; but even then she couldn't fool herself.

tab At his question, she smiled sweetly up at him, "A big ol' corndog, with a lemon shaker and then one of Aunt May's funnel cakes." Frankie pulled him in the direction she was originally going. "You ever have one of her funnel cakes? God, they are to die for!"

                          • tab Francesca was so caught up in her own thoughts and excitement that she missed the way Jason was staring at her in his hoodie. She watched as he lit his cigarette and thought to herself, Share a funnel cake? She was curious as to why he didn't want one for himself but she wasn't going to look to much into it. No, Jason Dye already had her head in a tailspin. "Sure, we can share one!"

tab They walked the remainder of the distance to the stand in silence, still holding hands. She hoped, no prayed, that her cheeks weren't a bright red. There was hardly any wind, so she couldn't blame it on that and while it was chilly out it wasn't that cold for her cheeks to be a rosy red. As they got to the line, she felt Jason let go of her hand, she looked over at him just in time to see him point to his phone. She simply nodded her head in understanding. Frankie tried not to eavesdrop while Jason was on the phone but it was kind of hard not to. She heard his sister ask if he was with anyone and then saw the phone move in her direction which was quickly followed by the woman calling her cute. The redhead smiled to herself and burrowed deeper into his hoodie. She was glad Jason had given her his hoodie and as she inhaled his scent, she smiled to herself knowing that he was never going to get this hoodie back.

tab She also couldn't help but realize just how cute the man was as he stood there interacting with his little nephew. Frankie remembered how excited he had been when he came back from Houston and showed her the pictures of the little boy. She was glad that he was still close to his family even though they were miles apart. The woman was so caught up in falling even deeper down the rabbit hole for Jason that she hadn't realized he had hung up and handed the cashier his debit card before she could even blink. Then he had to go and call her hon, then she felt his hand at the small of her back rubbing it before he reached up and took their food. Good lord, this man was going to kill her before the night was over, she just knew it. Fine, she would just fight fire with fire.

tab Frankie made sure to brush her fingers across his as she took the drink, maintaining eye contact as she did so. She simply shrugged her shoulders as he apologized, "It's alright. You know, you're cute when you talk to your nephew." It was nice to see a side of Jason that no one really got to see. She took a drink before adding while she pouted, "But Jason Dye, I was supposed to pay for that food. How am I supposed to pay you back for saving me if you won't let me?"

                          • tab tab The redhead couldn't help but scoff at his statement and she gave him a pointed look, "Jace, I can assure that is not the only way you are cute." She couldn't help but shake her head and laugh when he said she'd have to be faster. She wasn't gonna lie, it was refreshing to find a guy who was such a gentleman. Frankie knew that were was much more to Jason than what he let people see. Sure, they'd been friends for almost three years but they didn't really know much about each other. She wondered if it was because they never really took the time to get to know each other or if there was something else. Out of respect for both Jason and Delaney, she never pried into their relationship even when it had ended.

tab Once they made it to the table, she stood next to him and looked out at the crowd before her gaze went back to him. "Yes, I did. I couldn't imagine growing up anywhere else." In truth, she had never thought she would spend the rest of her life here. She had bigger dreams than this small town could handle. Shortly after taking over the hunter's lodge, she had a hard time coming to terms with her new life but yet over the last five years she couldn't help but think this was what she was supposed to be doing even though her heart would always ache for all the books she would never write and for the what could've been. "Ya know, I never wanted this for myself? I had bigger plans than being a bar owner."

tab The woman watched in horror as Jason put mustard on his hot dog, "You, sir, are ruining a perfectly good corn dog by putting that nastiness on there." After putting ketchup on her hot dog she took a bite, a much smaller bite compared to the one Jason had just taken. She watched as he struggled to swallow it but once he recovered she returned his smile with one of her own. "Oh?" Her cheeks threatened to turn red again as she reached for her drink. "Well, I'm glad you are enjoying my company." She took a drink before she added, "Cause I'm definitely enjoying yours." After taking another bite of her corndog, she looked at the man next to her, "So... do you ride the rides or is that something I'm gonna have to do by myself?"

                          • tab Frankie listened as Jason talked and nodded. "Well, I hope you don't get mad at me for saying this but everything happens for a reason. You may not know that reason just yet but I belive in time you will." She laughed which was more aimed towards herself than anything. She tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear before she looked up at him sheepishly. "Sorry, I'll quit getting all philosophical now." At his question she paused for a moment. "Promise you won't laugh?" The redhead looked around before she leaned in and whispered, "I wanted to be an author." She turned her attention back to her food, picking at the finnel cake before finishing, "But as much as it pains me that I couldn't pursue my dream I can't see myself doing anything else. Funny how life tends to work out."

tab At his comment about her not making fun of him eating his corndog she put her hands up in surrender, to each their own, right? The redhead couldn't help but smack his arm playfully, "You take that back right now, mister! I always enjoy your company, in fact, I look forward to when you come into the bar." Oh, s**t! Did she just really say that? She groaned inwardly, the ground could open up and swallow her right now and she'd be okay with that. Yeah, she definitely would be okay with that, especially if he kept calling her sweetie. Frankie felt her cheeks heat up once more, while she wasn't going to complain about spending time with Jason, she was sure her cheeks were going to fall off soon.

tab Frankie had to admit she was looking forward to riding the rides with Jason, it was just another excuse to be close to him. She watched as he got out his phone once again and waited patiently as she began to eat more of the funnel cake. "Congratulations! I didn't know you were buying a house." Once she had her fill of the funnel cake, she looked over at Jason, "So which ride do you want to conquer first?"

                          • tab Frankie shrugged nonchalantly, "Most people don't like to hear like things that." She smiled up at him, "Touche, Mr. Dye, touche." The woman felt his arm slip around her waist one more time and the smile that was on her face grew bigger. "Yeah, well some people do, I got used to it." Frankie shook her head, "Nah, I'm good doing what I'm doing....for now anyway." She beamed up at him, "You did? That's awesome!"

tab She couldn't help giggle when he nudged her shoulder. His statement made her blush, she felt her cheeks getting warmer. She rubbed her hand up and down his arm, "I know. I just thought... never mind, it's silly," she shook her head. Honestly, she never even thought about calling him or texting him to see if he wanted to hang out somewhere that wasn't the bar. Actually that was a lie, she had thought about it quite a lot but she had been too afraid to go through with it, in the event, he turned her down but there was no way she was telling him that. Francesca felt his lips on her head, causing her to lean into his embrace. She didn't care if those guys were back or not, he could kiss her anytime he wanted.

tab Frankie nodded, "I understand, either way, I'm happy for you." She gave him a soft smile, one that turned bigger upon him saying he was leaving it up to her. She looked up at him, "If it gets to be too much let me know, we can go somewhere quieter." Then she turned carefully in his arm so it wouldn't slip from her waist, she hadn't really given much thought about the action until she had her back pressed up against him. Her brown eyes scanned the area of the rides until she found the first one that caught her eye and pointed to it. "That one." She then turned back around to face him, "You up for it?"

                          • tab As they stood there talking, Frankie couldn't believe how right it felt to be standing there with Jason, how natural it was. It had always felt like this to her, now for what Jason felt, she wasn't sure but she did know one thing, something had definitely shifted between the two of them. When he said we happy few she thought she recognized the name but it wasn't until he said Band of Brothers that it clicked. She gave a soft laugh, Ah, I used to watch that show with my grandfather."

tab She saw the look Jason was giving her as he talked. She knew all about life being too short but she wasn't going to say that to him, not with knowing he had been in the military. She didn't know much about his military background nor was she going to ask; she knew he had been through things no one else had. Just like she knew Jason had scars on the inside and out but she was there for him when and if he needed it. All she did was nod her head and mumbled, "I know." Frankie wanted to tell him but she wasn't sure how. And then he started talking about taking her out to see the house. "Really? I would love to go out and see it!"

tab Frankie stopped for a moment and looked at him, knowing he was just joking but what she felt for this man was something she had never felt before. She was going to worry about him whether he knew it or liked it. "Jace, I'm serious. I've been coming to the festival since i was a little girl it won't bother me if we have to go somewhere else." The redhead just shook her head as she laughed along with him, "Well, maybe it’s not that families you have to watch out for," she said and then leaned in to whisper, “Maybe I’m the shooter.”

tab She watched him as he looked the ride over, the smile that broke out on her face when he said let's do it was bigger than all the other smiles she had given him. The two moved in tandeum as Jason gathered their trash and then started to lead them towards the ride. Frankie couldn't help but replay his words over and over in her head. As they got in line, she couldn't help but turn to look at Jason. Frankie took a deep breath before speaking, "So the reason why I never asked about getting together outside of the bar is because I didn't think you'd be interested in doing something... with me." The woman wasn't exactly sure why she chose this moment to say something, when it probably could've waited for another time but she felt like he needed to know. "Like I said it's silly."
