- ► xx I wouldn’t bother Sophie right now if I were you. She is busy planning her next fan photobook of Kim Young Bae – but I suppose you know him better as Ian Kim. If you want to know about her she was born as Hwang Sarang-Ah at the Bundang Jesaeng Hospital in Seongnam, South Korea on June 8th. But since she lives in America now she has adopted the name Sophie Hwang. Too many people butcher the name Sarang-Ah which really gets on her nerves.
► xx She grew up in Seongnam with her three older brothers in her small but comfortable house until four years ago when she was thirteen. Why? Her mother is a production assistant for womenswear and she got promoted to supervise overseas productions to Korea. So naturally, her mother decided to move to Lima, Ohio so she could take the high-paying job. Meanwhile her father continued to work as an anesthesiologist at a local hospital.
► xx Sophie did not bother learning English in South Korea because the language sounded so ugly to her. So English isn’t really her forte--after all she only moved here four years ago. The English she knew when she first moved here was beyond limited. Luckily for her, McKinley High School was able to find a Korean student that could help her learn English. That is how she met the love of her life and her idol Young Bae.
► xx It’s just. . .Young Bae doesn’t exactly know that Sophie loves him so much. Or that she have claimed that he is her boyfriend on her blog. . .or that she borrow his possession and keep them in a box in her closet. . .or that she has been trying to steal one of his hairs for weeks now so she could create a lab baby and bear his gorgeous chil- -. . . You see, Young Bae was generous enough to help her so her English became semi-understandable broken Engrish.
► xx Not being the best speaker would work out fine and dandy if her poor understanding of English didn’t make her appear to unintelligent. It takes brains to model and to keep a daily blog about Ian!! But she still need to be tutored in her regular classes. That is why Shawn Shin is her tutor for everything else.
► xx Sophie does not really talk to anyone besides the few Koreans she knows. It’s not that she doesn’t want to be friends with other people. . .it’s just her English really limits her. That explains why when it comes to singing she just mouths the lyrics or whisper them if the song is in English. It’s heavily accented and she can’t pronounce the words right--or even understand them to begin with. Although it’s obvious that her English is a lot better than other students such as Mickey Moon.
► xx Her singing is alright. Typical school choir quality if she is singing in Korean. Sophie has always loved music and people often have to tell her off for humming a tune in class. She really wishes that she could sing like those big stars on the television making a lot of money but her dancing is by far not up to par. Despite these problems she still joined Glee Club. /i]Why? Don’t you know that Ian is in Glee Club? Why would anyone not want to join?
► xx Ian is the ideal husband for any girl who is worthy enough for him. . .too bad Sophie knows that she is nowhere near deserving enough to have him. Still it does not mean that she doesn’t hang around him a lot! She thinks she is so lucky that she gets to see so much of him what with Glee Club and him being her English tutor. Let her make it clear to everyone that Ian is hers for the time being and she will shank anyone who gets close to him.
► xx Well she supposes there are a few people that can get close to him within reason. There Shawn Shin who is friends with Ian but she knows he isn’t gay. She is just not going into detail of how she hunted him down and found out who he likes. That’s illegal. And it wasn’t an easy task considering that Katia Park is almost always by his side. That girl scares Sophie. Actually with her manners and her strength. . .Sophie wonders if she really is a girl. Other than that she really doesn’t talk to the other kids from Glee Club. They all have been in their own circles and never really talk to each other. But she guesses that isn’t so bad because she really doesn’t like some of the kids on New Directions.
