Hello and welcome to Bleach: Darkened Swords.
Darkened Swords was formed on April 22, 2010 by our original Guild Captain shadowblade665. Many have joined and have been with us for months to years and we are always looking for new semi-literate to literate people to join in on the fun with us. Multiple times we have been in the top Bleach and Roleplay guilds on gaia and we strive to continue making it happen by providing a fun, interesting roleplay that while we do have some standards won’t take ourselves too seriously.

Storyline
Original Storyline as Posted by shadowblade665
After the conflict with Aizen, the Gotei 13 was left in shambles. With the death of every captain, and known humans, it was up to a few who took up the call. Slowly, more shinigami were recruited. Which led up to creating a new Gotei 13 allowing them to go to, and beyond, their former glory. There are even more shinigami then there was previously. The Gotei 13 remains in tact with having only 13 captains. As they begin arising again everything seems fine. But in Hueco Mundo there is a new evil arising as well. Hueco Mundo was a no man's land. But now, mysteriously, new arrancar are being made. The battle between shinigami and arrancar have again begun. History is repeating itself. But wait, there may be other enemies out there. Who will win? Only you will decide...In the battle between Good and Evil.
Current Storyline: The Sin Arc
The Sins, Seven of the most powerful beings to become of the world of Hell. Many years ago, in the abyss of Hell, a plan was hatched, Seven Higher-Demons were to be given an extraordinary power and were released into the World of the Living to feed off the energy from the living. These powers that were given out were codenamed: The Sins, Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth, and Wrath. Many years passed and since then the Sins have been in hiding in the World of the Living gaining immense power from all the sins the living performed.
Whilst on the brink of War, The Espada and the Gotei 13, ordered by both their leaders to begin preparation for war, have all been doing so. Aero, the Espada Lord and his new ally, Mizuki have been undergoing an intense amount of training to help Mizuki control the demon inside her. Sun, the current Head Captain, has been training with Jin, a very old and close friend of his preparing for his imminent battle against Aero.
Simultaneously two beings appeared in each of the 3 primary places in each realm. Karakura Town, The Seireitei, and Las Noches. Calling themselves only by their names, they delivered a message to both the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo telling them that the annihilation of their worlds would be coming shortly and by demonstrating they would destroy what they valued most. In the World of the Living, more than half the city was destroyed before the 2 Sins disappeared, after that the Seireitei was attacked leaving more than a third of it in ruins. After them, came the Espada and Las Noches. Its all out war now, with some of the Older Captains and some of the older Espada's whereabouts unknown, they soon get replaced with new ones.

A Message From the Guild Captain
Hello dear member or dear Gaiain considering on joining the guild, I’m Nyx the Guild Captain and Overlord.
I am actually (as stated above) as stated above, not the original Captain of Darkened Swords, however I have been with the guild from the beginning as the 3rd ever member and a Vice-Captain very soon after joining. Being with this guild for so long I have had the great honour of seeing it grow and develop, very proudly I can say that we for the most part have stayed true to being the guild we always have been in terms of community and fun.
Of course a lot of the original members (including myself) started as very beginner level roleplayers and as our skill grew so did the quality of the guild and in a way the standards we hold. I think if you look at the difference in the original storyline and our current one it’s pretty easy to see. That isn’t to say we are advanced roleplayers who have extremely high standards and take everything as serious as everyday life. Actually it is a great goal of mine as an original member to ensure that while we provide a quality roleplay we won’t be overly serious and promote creativity and fun to preserve the same attitude I have gained from this guild. We do not promote godmodding and illiteracy. Of course we won’t turn away people new to roleplaying, as long as you are dedicated enough to form full sentences and are willing to allow us to help you continue improving, you won’t be turned away for being new.
I have to say I have never been in a guild where I have just as much fun in character as I do out of character and while I may be a little biased I’ve been told by many that they enjoy this guild. Either way we are fun-loving people who have many ridiculous conversations. Now a feature that I consider fairly unique as far of guilds is that we have our own official guild tinychat where we all chat and occasionally throw up a webcam or two. Overtime it hasn’t been the most active but when it is, it’s a blast and even people new to it can have fun too and if you are new it’s an especially great way to get to know the people of Darkened Swords.
Now I will stop myself before I go on for too long, but I hope this gave you a better feel of the guild.

Introduction
Here at Darkened Swords we like to keep out profile skeletons customizable so each individual can add their own touch of personality and creativity. We highly encourage taking advantage of this, as a profile if the first major impression of your character and should be cared for like a post. You are by all means allowed to reformat and organize it however you wish (such as putting it into different sections), as long as categories remain in the correct order. This is not necessary, so you can leave it as plain as you would like as well.

Rules and Guidelines
1. Use the Profile Skeletons[<-- link] provided
2. Cannon characters are not allowed.
3. For a Captain, Lieutenant, Espada, or Visored spot a Test[<--link] is required to be taken.
4. Please check the Ranking Lists[<--link] before you choose your own characters rank.
5. If you want more abilities than the skeleton lists, you must discuss it with the mods, for it to be considered.
6. Erase any optional categories you are not using as well as the legend, *'s and **'s.
7. If something (such as bankai) is not achieved you can fill it in if you want as long as the status is still listed as not achieved.
8. If you are asked to change something please change it.
9. Sometimes a mod will list off some things that aren't unacceptable but can be improved this isn't to be insulting. It's just us being friendly and trying to help.
10. There is no character limit but try to keep it manageable and leave high ranking spots available for others as well if you already hold one.
11. Whenever you edit you profile inform a mod or post saying you updated.
12. As Nyx is Overlord and her word is law, more rules will be added if seen fit.
Posting a Profile
Posting your profile is rather simple:
1. Go to the Profiles Awaiting Acceptance [<--link] sub-forum and open a new topic.
2. Title the topic with the following format:
Character name [Character rank] [AA or U/C]
3. Mods will review your completed profile and if anything needs to be changed post in a reply in the thread or when everything is good you'll be accepted.
4. Once your profile is accepted it will be moved to the correct sub-forum. And the last part of your topic name ([AA] o [U/C]) will be erased.
5. The topic is left unlocked so you can make edits later, just make sure a mod somehow is informed about it. Now that the profile is accepted (assuming all tests you chose to take have also been accepted), you may post~
Formatting
Formatting the guild skeletons is very simple. You can do whatever you want with it as long as you follow two simple rules:
1. Use the guild skeleton
2. Keep everything in the same order.
Other than than align, colour, bold, resize, sperate and whatever else until your hearts contents.

Yepp, just as you'd expect from any guild we have some rules and they need to be followed.
I know I know, it's very hard to believe, but from time to time they come in handy.
Such as if you're trying to join the guild and you're here to find our password.

Anyways depending on the offense we will probably be fairly flexible with first time offenders of our rules, an accident is understandable, but make a habit of it there will be consequences.
We would hate for any of that to happen so, please make sure to read the rules.

Guild Rules
Rules
1. Follow Gaia's Terms of Service.
2. When you join we expect at least a basic understanding of Bleach
3. No Godmodding. This is a rather big issue that we'd like to avoid.
4. Sorry, but this is not a guild for romance purposes, if you join just for romance you're in the wrong place.
5. This is not a place where text talk is appreciated, so please keep it out of your posts, unless of course you want to be smacked with a dictionary courtesy of Nyx.
6. Try to limit one liners as much as possible, a short paragraph (5 sentences-ish) minimum is the usual expectation. We are understanding of writers block though.
7. Be realistic when posting about who your character can and can't beat. As I am sure a lieutenant wouldn't be taking on the Second Espada and winning for example.
8. Read the Profile Rules before posting your profile.
9. Don't post topics in the actual roleplay areas, run it by a mod first.
10. Respect your guild mates. Or else.
11. Have FUN~ That's why we are all here after all.
