I’ve always been a people person. Back in my High School days I wanted to get into something that dealt with the public; either politics or law, but… well; given the circumstances I know that’s never going to happen. Other than that, and because of my lifestyle just before the outbreak, I’m very calm when it comes to hectic situations. I used to be a bit crazy too, believe it or not. When I was still living with my parents I always tried to get into trouble and did everything I could to go against what others wanted from me or for me. But needing to get my act together and raise a child changed all that… I don’t like arguments, however; and while I won’t run should one start up I certainly, unless provoked to the point where I snap, won’t be the one to scream and holler back. I like to think that for most cases I’m able to keep a rational and leveled mindset. A bad point of my personality would have to be that I often put others before myself.

History: I was raised in a pretty simple family. We didn't have much, but got by regardless, and for the most part were happy. My dad worked at a pharmacy close to the house, while my mom stayed home to raise me and my two years younger sister, Alison. Back then, growing up in such a loving environment I was a good kid... I got good grades, always kept my nose out of trouble, and made sure to keep fair to everything and everyone, as I was raised to do so by my mother and father... But that all changed when I hit High School. You know how some people reference rough teen years? Or moody teens? Well; I was the queen of attitude going into my last four years, everyone knew it and no one argued with it because they were scared of me. I partied, stayed out late, did everything in my power to break whatever rules were set out at the time, and this continued on all throughout my schooling... Until the point where it got out of hand, and in turn; I wound up pregnant.

I was in my last year of school when I found out the news, and had to deal with the consequences. My parents disowned me, kicked me out of the house, I was unable to graduate... Hell; I probably would've had to live on the streets if it hadn't been for my on again off again boyfriend Adam, who by that time was already working and had a place of his own. We stayed together throughout the pregnancy, though not long after the birth of my son: Max Liam Hallock. That day, as painful and scary as it was, was the best day of my life. Looking at his little face, holding his tiny hand in my own when he was finally born... It was like magic; I no longer cared about everything that I had gone through, my troubles. Even when Adam dumped me and threw me out the only thing on my mind was my beautiful baby boy. And that's how I managed to keep going, because of him.

Throughout my pregnancy I was able to save enough money to rent out a small apartment of my own, in an old crappy like building directly across the street from a small cafe that I eventually got a job at. It was rough attempting to raise and support such a young child, so I often had to send Max to his fathers for the odd week here and there. It was during one of his occasional visits that the outbreak occurred… and thus; I had no way of getting a hold of him. I wound up escaping the city with a man named; Heath Beckham. He was a regular at my workplace and to top things off a good friend so to say having him around was a relief would be an understatement. We were alone for about a month when we came across a larger group of people, promptly joining them at the offer of food and safety. We traveled with the group of five for a good while, going from town to town and place to place in a large decked out bus… but one day, during the night, we were attacked by a whole horde of infected that… really came out of nowhere.

At the time both Heath and I were asleep in the bus… it was the screaming which woke us up. There were some stray Walkers attempting to get in, so Heath headed outside to try and fight them off. That was the last time I seen him, because that was when the gunshots sounded. The next thing I knew I was being dragged out of the bus and away from camp entirely by a bunch of men—one of which called himself the Governor. To be truthful I was scared, and despite my loss settled into things rather well after reaching Woodbury.

Do I still wonder about Heath? Of course. I know he’s still a live, much like I know my son Max is too.
