User Image The Basics...

I was Born // Nexis Rani Denisov on January 16th

My Years // Eighteen

You Look at Me and See // A Russian Female

Why am I Here? // Nexis has a gift when it comes to art. Put her in a room with all white walls and a few art utencils (pencil, pen, paints, charcoal, etc.) and leave her there for a day. Come back and every inch of those walls will likely be covered in some kind of intricate design, whether incorporating symbols, letters, people, culture, history, anything. You name it, she can probably make art out of it. Her style is unique and unmatched, and if you look at one of her works of art, you can definitely distinguish it from others. She also has a knack for being able to duplicate famous works of art without much thought. That's more of a hobby though. Her artwork is her life.

User Image You Look at Me and See...

Reach for the Sky // Five foot Ten (177.8cm)

A little Personal // 133lbs (60.5kg)

Look Into my Eyes // Nexis was gifted with large, enchanting eyes. They are beyond a normal dark brown, and sink more toward black than anything else. They have a tendency to pull people in toward her just to take a look. If asked what color her eyes are, she tends to answer “black”, because really, they don’t look brown. Her eyes also stand out against her usually lovely and light appearance.

It Blows in the Wind // Nexis's hair is a darker tint of strawberry blonde. When wet, it tends to look crimson or dark red, and she has often been complimented on the unique color, for a Russian. It's a good length, the tips brushing her lower back. It's very silky and usually straight but with an uplifting look, so it's not flat and lifeless like long hair can tend to be. It doesn't tangle easily, so it's not as if she brushes it every minute of every day. She takes care of it to keep the sheen and softness at its peak.

My Physique // She has a thin but athletic figure that's considered perfect for modeling against most standards. She is not a bulky muscular, but she had those attractive lines (like on her abdomen or legs) that give her sex appeal and draw eyes. She also has no extra weight in unattractive places because, although she enjoys food very much, she isn't totally lazy and knows how to stay in shape without any crazy diets or exercise routines. She won’t admit to it, but she pays quite a bit of attention to her outer appearance, just cause.

Something you will never catch Nexis doing is slouching. Her back is always straight and she looks very poised, especially around important people. If she is slouched, then something is probably wrong. Posture was one of those little things that her grandmother found important and drilled into her at a young age, mainly so that she wouldn't look strange when she grew older.

Nexis’s walk is very gracefully and elegantly. Her mother had suggested modeling as a future career when she was younger and so walking was the first thing she learned when she went to the classes. It pretty much stuck after one lesson. One foot in front of the other, back straight, eyes forward, shoulders back, and hands cupped gently at her sides...if she wasn't holding something. It's kind of the one thing that makes her look a little royal.

Tripping and falling have no place in her agenda. Whether she’s in flats or six-inch heels, she knows how to walk and how to walk right. You’ll never see her stomp her feet either, because that’s just weird. For the most part, she is very light on her feet. That part may have something to do with that fact that she plays soccer. Aside from that, and she doesn’t really notice, but she does tend to swing her hips in a sexy sort of way, and it seems that guys have taken note of her lovely back side at times like this, especially when she wears her favorite heels.

The Style I Choose -- Love It or Hate It // Although Nexis is almost always in designer apparel, she doesn’t have a set style. She does have things that she doesn’t want to wear, but other than that, she’s pretty flexible. When she isn’t in uniform, she would like to wear things that are comfortable and easy to move in, as well as still stylish and well-fitting. There are times where comfort isn’t an option, but even then she would still like to look nice. Really, a simple pair of jeans, skinny or flair (usually not boot-cut), a cute belt, some comfortable but designer boots or heels (she surprisingly doesn’t find heels uncomfortable to walk in) or even some Converse shoes, and any kind of top that doesn’t make her look like a hooker and she’s pretty much good to go! It it’s fitted, stylish, and in a good color, she will be happy.

Now, the things she would rather not wear. First off, you will NEVER see her in all white. She has her various pairs of white jeans, shorts, skirts, tops, and things to that nature, but never all white. She feels it is way too easy to get white dirty without even knowing it and she really doesn’t want to look dirty…because any color OTHER than white really shows up ON white. Next, Nexis does not wear clothing that supports excessive frills, glitter, lace, sequence, or all of the above and similar! She will also not wear clothes that are SUPER PINK because she finds it gaudy to no end and will probably burn said clothes if ever given to her.

Nexis also really likes jewelry and will usually have on more than just the two that she never takes off. She has an assortment of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and ankle bracelets to last her (and a few friends) a lifetime. Over the span of a few weeks, you’ll probably never see much of the same thing. Her accessories always different. Whenever she vacations places, she makes sure to jewelry shop, so her collection is also quite worldly.

“What not to wear” basics for Nexis: Basically, clothes that don’t fit her appearance and age. For example, she highly dislikes frumpy or unfitting clothes that make her look like old, or like a hobo. She won’t wear skirts that go down to her ankles, or sweaters that make her look twice her size, although that’s still quite petit and thin. She’s okay with sweatpants, because they are comfortable, but only to bed. Yoga-pants or comfortably pants like that are more preferable. She does not wish to dress like a child, nor does she want to look 80. Her clothes should represent her age and accentuate her figure. Ugly clothes do not cross her path.

The Special Things -- Only For Me // Nexis has a medium-sized demonic bat wing on her right shoulder blade that crosses the span of half her back and goes down to mid-back. The detail is incredible for a tattoo, and in the right lighting, it looks like it's coming out of her body. On her left shoulder and partly down her upper arm is a black tattoo of intricate lines and symbols of unknown nature. Some friends have told her, though, that if you stare at them long enough, they look like they are moving. On her inner left thigh, in the same design as seen on her upper left arm, there is yet another intricate black tattoo with something written in symbols. She also has a small barcode tattoo on the inside of her right ankle. Apparently, if you look at it from a certain angle, something it written within the lines. Lastly, on the inside of her right wrist, her grandmother's name is intricately tattooed in a gentle pink, in remembrance. All five designs were her original ideas that she just sketches out one day. They are literally one of a kind as well as hard to replicate.

Aside from her one of a kind tattoos, Nexis is always wearing two pieces of fine jewelry, if not more. The first is a bracelet that she was given at birth. The thin, black leather bracelet is studded with small rubies and on the inside part of the band is her name in a silver inscription. The other is thin black-chain necklace that never leaves her neck. From it hangs a penny-sized black diamond held inside a silver cage-like box. It looks cheap because she wears it like no big deal, but it could probably buy someone an island as well as let that person retire. This little fact is something Nexis does not know, though, for she was just told it was a small gift from her grandfather. She cherishes is all the same.

User Image What You Will Come to Learn...

It's Just the Way I Am -- You'll Get Over It // First off, for some, meeting Nexis for the first time can be a bit intimidating. For one thing, she is very tall. But, for her height, she carries herself almost perfectly. She is a lady, first and foremost because it is the way her grandmother taught her. She is sociable, kind, and will normally give you no lip. Having said this, she is not little miss sunshine. In fact, overly happy and bubbly people irritate her and she never hopes to be like such. She is not loud, and keeps her tone at a steady octave, just enough so those that would like to can hear her. Because she is not loud, she does not like to around those that are. Being obnoxious is not the way to gain her friendship. She is social, but not in the way that she wants to go out and party every night. Light and pleasant conversation is good. She is not, in any way, antisocial. Making friends is something she enjoys because she feels that meeting new people broadens one’s horizon.

Secondly, although Nexis usually has a somewhat serious expression, she is a very nice person. She is easy to get along with for the most part, and all her friends love her to death because she is so kind. Also, even though her appearance might scream it, she is in no way stuck up or snobby. Not once has she gloated about her family or money. Yes, her family is wealthy and could probably go without work for a few generations, but she will not flaunt it to people. It is true that she is classy and sophisticated, so that kind of reflects her wealth, but that’s it. She does work, in the artistic field, and is very happy to do so. The fact that her parents provide her with things is their choice, not hers.

Third, although all of the above is true, she is not always the perfect child. She has her moments when she can be a handful and distant from others. Behind her ladylike demeanor, she can be rude and blunt…to a point where a small child might cry. There is not a lot that can cause her to snap and lash out, but given the right circumstance, she’s a ticking time bomb. If you really piss her off, which is actually quite hard, she can give you the most chilling death glare, and those eyes sure do a hell of a job. But this side is usually in the background, for she tends to make snide remarks to herself on occasion…in her head.

Lastly, and contrary to popular belief, Nexis can be quite the flirt. But, this side only shows it’s secretive self when she is totally comfortable with the people around her. Up until recently, she really hasn’t paid much attention to the opposite sex. Sure, she’s gone out on dates with hopeful prospects that her parents have liked, but they have all seemed too…refined. Sure, that’s good in some ways, but she doesn’t always like the guy to be a complete gentleman. In other words, none of those guys ever got very far into her life. It’s just the matter of finding that right person with a little bit of good and bad. In due time, she’ll probably flirt more and actually use her looks to her advantage, but for now, she just wants to make friends. Adding to that, she is in no way easy…although that’s probably obvious. She would rather date a guy for a year to make sure it’s right than to jump right into the relationship head first. She still doesn’t really understand guys…so she may accidentally blow off a guy that’s trying to get her attention. With Nexis, it’s usually better to be more upfront and not so coy…although she may not return the favor.

To put it simply, although a proper lady, Nexis is normally kind of sarcastic and bitchy. But this is her relaxed self, when she is around true friends and family. Around those that have yet to get to know her or get close, she is a polite, classy girl that won’t have a hair out of place. It’s easy to befriend her though, so eventually her more relaxed self with come out.

My Mind Tells Me // That I'm Straight

My Life in a Nutshell Novel -- Haha // Nexis is the only child of Markov and Vasillisa(meaning royal in Russian) Denisov. They were a young couple that met one night at a party hosted by Vasillisa's family. She had money, and a lot of it to spare. Markov was a somewhat wealthy businessman that just happened to catch her eye from across the ballroom. He didn't even know who she was until their first date, when she arrived with body guards that searched him from top to bottom, inside AND out. He was a bit apprehensive at first, but figured it was worth it for her. Luckily, he really didn’t care about her wealth. This was the winning ticket that got him accepted by her family members…and her strict Russian-mafia like father. Within a year, they were wed and living in the family castle. Markov felt so lucky just to have her, and really had no problem getting rid of his family name and taking Vasillisa’s name “Denisov.”

It was a cold winter day on January 16th, but it was still beautiful. The snow covered everything just right in St. Petersburg, Russia, right near the Winter Palace. It was the day Nexis was born into her interesting life. Her first name was an epiphany Vasillisa had one day and quickly wrote down. Her middle name, Rani, was that of her grandmother's. Her grandmother was pretty much the head of the household, and Vasillisa thought it would fit and hopefully give their daughter strength. Grandmother Rani presented Nexis with a bracelet, first thing, when she came home from the hospital that cold winter day. It was inscribed with her new name and has never left her wrist since. Every year a ruby is added to the bracelet to represent her age. It’s a lovely bracelet that no matter what season, it glitters and shines.

Nexis grew up in the family castle and was treated like a princess by everyone. She wasn't a brat or a needy child though, so that made life pretty easy. In fact, she often avoided the staff and went exploring on her own to stay out of everyone's way! Even at a small age, she liked to do things on her own and not be a burden on anyone. When she was four, she managed to get out of the castle and explore the surrounding area that her family also owned, without the careful eye of anyone. There was mass panic throughout the castle and everyone was looking for her non-stop. Her father called the police and everything as if she had gotten kidnapped or something…which wouldn’t have been surprising. Her mother had fainted from the news and was out for most of the day. Nexis was found around eleven that night in the gardens where the gardener that found her and said she was fine and didn't look frightened at all…or aware of the situation. She had just been staring at the flowers and enjoying the evening. After that, until she was older, someone was always watching her. This bothered Nexis a bit, but it did make it easier to walk around and explore without mass panic. She still hasn't been in every room of her own home! And another thing...she still usually has at least one person watching her at all times. Now-a-days, though, she really doesn't notice.

Drawing was something Nexis started when she was three. After walking through the gallery halls with her father where the family hung their expensive works of art, she thought she would give it a go because all the lovely pieces looked so nice and she wanted to hang something of her own up on the wall too! In the back of her mind, she had the urge to make her father proud so he would someday look at her art with awe. Her parents became her inspiration to work at it, even though she was still just a kid.

Within a few years, things were different in life. By the time she had turned five, she had requested a special room with nothing on the walls, floor, or ceiling and no disturbances like crowning or wallpaper. Just a plain room! Of course, this was provided. After only a week, one whole wall was covered in drawings and doodles. At the bottom of the wall where the wall met the white floor, there were small doodles that, like a flip book, if you followed with your eyes, the drawing would move. By now, her family knew of her talents and did anything to help. They bought her all the supplies she could ever want to use in her private room. There was even a closet next to the room dedicated to all her art supplies and materials! Who could possibly stop their work after all of that?!

At private school, her teachers would complain that Nexis was not paying attention in class and just drawing all day. They said she looked like she didn't care about studying! Nexis disagreed, and so, was given a test of the material that the teachers had covered up until that point. Nexis scored a 100% on the test, to say the least. The thing was, she was paying attention, but her hand was kind of off on its own. 90% of the time, when she had to take notes, the notes were inscribed within the pictures somewhere, so it wasn't like she wasn't learning! Aside from that, she was being taught at home. Her grandmother felt that she was to learn anything about everything, and so every night from seven to nine, she had her lessons on whatever her grandmother felt like teaching her that day. Nexis didn't mind. She loved her sweet grandmother and knew what she was doing was the best thing. But still, her notes were in her drawings! That hasn't changed since. Her grandmother actually encouraged this, said it gave her character like no other child.

Around the same time, Nexis was enrolled in archery classes. It was yet another idea of her grandmother's. She said it would give her something different to focus on when she wasn't drawing. Nexis did not complain. She put everything she had into pleasing her loving grandmother and took lessons from the best. She was entered in a competition at age nine and took the gold. The sport has just stuck with her since and has won her many other awards and medals. Nexis is now in the archery club at school as captain.
Because her grandmother insisted on archery, Nexis’s mother decided to get her daughter into something too. This is when Nexis started modeling classes. Her mother had been quite the looker back in the day and her pictures were known nation-wide for her long, luscious blonde hair and vibrant blue eyes that she was all for getting her daughter into the industry. After all the classes, it was like a second job after school. She was a child model for a long time, until she grew too old. She became a popular teen model and racked up quite the pay check from that so she could buy herself things instead of having to rely on her parents. Although she focuses more on school now, her manager will still call her with modeling opportunities.

By age eight, Nexis had filled the walls of her blank canvas room. The four walls, along with the ceiling and floor, were absolutely covered. She was given another room like the first, only five times bigger, as a birthday present when she turned nine. Her mother thought it would last for another few years before having to build another one. Of that room, three walls are filled along with the ceiling, which was finished first. Nexis still wants to finish it before she turns twenty. As for her previous room, she likes to revisit it to see the progress she made when she was younger. It tends to give her new ideas, or refresh old ones. They are kind of like timelines of her progress over the years.

In middle school, her parents got many calls about Nexis not paying attention in class, just like before. She didn't know why they were complaining. She had the highest grade in every class and got the best scores on all the tests. Her parents sided with her and told the teachers to just teach and not worry about their daughter. She took all the notes and was a good student, better than most. They had no reason to bother her about her hobby! If anything, it made a boring class more interesting. In middle school, Nexis kind of became popular. It was not because of her wealth, for the school tuition wasn’t exactly low and all the kids came from pretty high class families, but because she was very friendly and sociable. There were many days where she would invite her whole class over and just run around the house playing games. Her mother has pictures of this for she found it hilarious.
Her best classes in school were, and still are, math and science, English next (the class to learn the language, not comprehension of stuff and reading). Yes, she liked the language and by the age of 12, was fluent. She also took up German, French, and Italian. She’s not yet fluent in those~ Although she still had a Russian accent, her words were pretty clear and easy to understand. She knows plenty about history, but doesn't find it as interesting to learn for some reason. Now, her English is pretty much perfect aside for the occasional Russian habit. Her mother speaks English well and her father is getting better, but Russian still remains her preferred language and she has yet to forget a single word.

Although Nexis continued her archery throughout her school life, her father also suggested she try another sport that her school offered, just to get her more active. She figured it couldn't hurt, and researched other available clubs. In the end, she joined soccer. Yes, it was completely different from archery, but it built up her endurance to the point where the track club wanted her to run for them. She declined their offer, saying soccer was enough. Soccer is also the reason she stays in good physical condition without building up a crap load of muscle. Her modeling manager was very pleased with the good it did her figure.

Nexis' grandmother passed when she was 15. That year, she did not go to school. From May, when her grandmother died, to December, all Nexis did was draw. She locked herself up in the house and didn’t come out. Her friends came to visit occasionally, and would stay in touch, but she never left. She wasn't worried about school because she was already advanced a year. She drew and drew and drew until her blank room and regular room were covered in drawings and paper. Screw finishing the room before twenty, it was done! Many of her drawings and paintings were of her grandmother or family. This was when she discovered her talent to duplicate exact copies of things. In her room, Nexis kept a collection of her favorite paintings from some of the most famous artists. She tried copying one one day, and found it was very similar to the original. She never told anyone, but practiced the skill a lot by herself because she thought it was unique. At the end of December, Nexis got a tattoo of her grandmother's name on her inner right wrist, the same one she wears her bracelet on, to remember her by. It was tattooed in a gentle pink ink, the color of her grandmother's most prized jewel.

Nexis eventually went back to school and got her grades back up to the top of the class. Though she kept her grades, she was probably drawing a lot more than before. She refused offers to join the art club because she felt she did better when by herself. At 16, she asked her parents if she could get a few tattoos. She said they were her own designs, and her parents didn't have a problem with it. She got four tattoos that year: a jagged, realistic bat wing, two intricate designs of unknown meaning, and a barcode. They mean things to her, but she never revealed what they were to anyone else. Around the same time, she really got into her work and began to sell her art instead of just letting it lie around her room. She's sold countless paintings and works of art to many wealthy art collectors from around the world. She has also had her work put up in museums, although mainly within Russia and Europe. Her work always varies, depending on her mood and how much time she has...but she can always guarantee you an amazing work of art, no matter how big or small. She also took modeling really seriously that year, and ended up on the covers of top Russian magazines.

When Nexis received the letter from Emerald Hills Academy, she really didn't know what to think. She had heard of it from her mother, who had actually attended it when she was younger and had said good things about it, but still. Nexis responded to the letter quickly though, and got the information soon afterwards. New management? Whatever! She liked the fact that she was invited, not because of her money, but because she was good at drawing and painting. Her parents told her they would do everything to help make it easier, and as a gift, got her the latest and greatest phone, so she could keep in contact. Before leaving, Nexis presented to her parents her latest piece of art. At first glance, the drawing didn't look like anything but a few colors thrown together on a canvas. But when they hung it up and the light hit it at noon, there appeared a sparkling drawing, more like an inscription of glitter, actually, that carefully detailed the faces of her parents, along with her grandmother. By then, Nexis was very good at hiding things in her artwork, things that didn't appear until in the proper lighting or looked at under a certain angle. She had also honed her skill of duplicating works of art…but that’s still a secret~
