- ☁ Came by for a chat eh? Well, sit down and relax, you may just get lucky enough to hear my life story. Feel free to make yourself at home. Anyways, shortly after I reached the age of five years old, my father began initiating me into the position of inn-keeper. I learned how to greet guests, and act like a well-mannered gentleman. As well as how to cook many different Japanese dishes. My mother helped me learn how to brew tea, and how to dress myself in my own hakama (A very uncommon piece of men’s clothing that represented the appearance of a simpler kimono, with a very high obi (waist) and less decorations). I was to tie my hakama formally everyday, so that I knew how to dress myself without any problems. It was a difficult task. But soon I got very used to the elaborate knot-work that came along with my mother’s lessons.
☁ By the time I became the age of eight years old, I’d met a neighboring girl, one that lived on a small farm, not too far away from our inn. Her name was Akari Yoshida. We became best friends immediately, and were inseparable, I was never aware of my parent’s future plants though. It was around that time that I’d met the blacksmith, Tanaka-Sensei. Akari encouraged me to keep training with him, throughout the years, and because of her, I never gave up on my lessons of both the inn and katana.
☁ When I was sixteen, Akari and I were still the closest of friends, and she’d gotten even more beautiful. But shocking news from our own parents astonished the both of us. We were to have an arranged wedding, because it was about time that I’d take over the inn, and I needed an heir. I of course, knew all of this, but I never knew that I’d marry my first, and best friend. It was when we were betrothed, that I’d realized my love for her, and how I never wanted to be with anyone else.
☁ We were soon married, and a very happy couple. Though, neither of us had ever muttered the word “I love you” to the other, perhaps because it was an arranged marriage that she didn’t love me back? Or, maybe she felt like I didn’t feel the same way, regardless, I will never know what her true feelings were. After taking over the inn with my new wife, our business was very successful, and our marriage seemed like it would last forever.
☁ Though, four years after we were married, a short while after I’d turned twenty , Akari seemed to fall ill, and stayed in bed for most of her days. She always seemed to appear weak, and was a times very dizzy. During her sleep, she sweated consistently, and still sweat during the day. Soon she began to start gasping for air. It was one night, when I placed my head atop her chest, that her heart was beating extremely fast, I became very concerned. Three days later, she died in my arms, from Coronary Artery Disease.
☁ I was a very depressed man after this happened -- losing the love of my life. I didn’t care about my own life anymore because of it. The inn because messy, and no one ever came anymore. For once in my life though, I’d gotten sympathy from my parents, and they told me to go somewhere, and start new. That they’d take over the inn while I was gone. My Sensei even agreed, for the past ten years, he’d been teaching me how to create my own swords, and he said that I was ready. I felt like I was… I also felt like I’d be going on a journey. Weeks passed, and I found Caeli, I felt a connection to the place, and have ever since, lived there.

☁ WIDOWER , BLACKSMITH , SUMMER TWENTY-FIRST
- ☁ I'd like to say that I'm a mysterious man, to those who haven't heard my story. I was born on the twenty-first of Summer, raised by my mother and father in Hokkaido, Japan. We lived in the rural areas of that city, where, there were simply miles of colored flowers spreading across the land. I grew up in our family business ~ an inn. Where, it was expected that I take over and build a family to keep passing the inn down through generations.
☁ I was born without a sibling, and my parents never thought of having another child (Unless of course, I was born as a girl). So, I had to entertain myself when I wasn’t learning about making sure the inn was in shape, and taken care of. Though, during my free time I would learn how to fight. There was a blacksmith a block of so from our inn, and so, after befriending the owner of the building, I began to learn how to wield a katana from him. By the time I reached the age thirteen, I was skilled in the fighting style that came along with the blade and, the blacksmith owner, whom I was to call Tanaka-Sensei, gifted me with my own katana ~ following the traditions of a samurai.
☁ My parents didn’t necessarily agree with this whole “Samurai shenanigan”, as they called it. They were always nagging at me, usually bringing our conversations to extent where it was clear that they thought it was useless for an inn-keeper to know such in-depth context about weapons. I suppose they didn’t understand that it was my passion, not inn-keeping. And they also didn’t understand how much I would want to protect my future wife.
☁ One thing about me that everyone should know is that, once you’re special to me, I’ll always protect you. From past experience, I’ve come to find that, life shouldn’t be lived with regrets, or with hesitance of telling somebody you love them. Because though, one day you may keep their reflection cupped within your hands like water, eventually, they’ll slip away. And for the rest of your life, you’ll regret, as I have, telling this person what your true feelings are.
☁ I promise not to make you, or anyone else depressed with sayings such as this though! As, I usually keep things to myself, especially my past life, you should consider yourself lucky for reading this then. I prefer listening to other people’s stories, you can’t always judge someone by their appearance, you never know what you might learn about someone if you stick around longer than you intended to. You may just be surprised by the results.
☁ Other than wielding the katana though, I enjoy fishing, as it’s a very calming sport. I also like to visit the farm and ranch on occasions, just to stop by and see the animals. Lately, I’ve been taking walks around the Prosperina fields, because it reminds me so much of Hokkaido, it's also very enjoyable to read books there. When it comes to other stuff, I enjoy eating miso soup and sushi, as well as eating onigiri (Rice balls) as a snack while I’m working. I really dislike sweets.
