OO1. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Kijoon is the product of a plastic surgeon and a cosmetic chemist who got married mostly to join their two businesses together. They joined and made Yoo Cosmetic Clinics and Nyx Cosmetics. In order to relieve pressure from both sides of the family, they had Kijoon. His mother never really intended to have children since she wouldn't be able to work as much if she had a child. His father died in a car accident right before he turned three and his mother was left to take care of him with only the help of nannies. She is not a particularly affectionate woman and was often gone on business trips.
OO2. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Kijoon's mother got remarried when he was five, this time to the Italian owner of Cinque, an company that produces alcoholic beverages. The three of them moved to Venice, Italy shortly after, where Kijoon spent most of his life. He spoke only Korean when he first got there and took awhile to adjust, but his stepfather was a great help to him and after awhile, you wouldn't be able to tell they weren't a real father-son pair.
OO3. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Throughout his elementary and middle school life, he was bullied by pretty much everyone he came across. He was short, skinny, had a strange name and a funny accent, making him a perfect target for nicknames and jokes. Kijoon tried to make friends, but wasn't really successful. When he got to middle school, the bullying progressed to physical violence. His stepfather had come up to the school, but the other kids said that he'd started it. Kijoon started drinking alcohol around this time. One time, in the seventh grade, a girl stood up for him and those particular boys never touched him again. He felt inspired enough to learn to box.
OO4. X ▬ ♔ x ) x When Kijoon started eighth grade, his mother realized he had a problem with alcohol and sent him to live with an aunt in New York while he received treatment. Since this aunt was a heavy drinker herself, nothing really happened, but they were able to convince his mother that he was fine. Feeling as if a burden had been lifted from her shoulders with him being gone, Kijoon's mother enrolled him in OCD for high school to keep it that way. She only contacts him when necessary and he is much closer with his stepfather than with her.
OO5. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Kijoon has wanted to be a marine biologist ever since the first time he went scuba diving with his family when he was 6. He remembers it as a time when his mother actually seemed to be having fun with him. He loves undersea life almost more than land life. He is against keeping sea animals as pets unless they're goldfish, but he can't resist visiting the aquarium now and then. And he goes scuba diving whenever he can, but don't expect him to invite you to go with him.
