Hello ThereMyEccentricSelf

This is my roleplay sample thread. If you have stumbled upon this thread please don't post in here.

I have been on hiatus from roleplaying for a while and I have just come back so my posts are not as long as they once were. Anyway, I am back and have started back again. Page three is the oldest samples and page one is the newest.

                      Thanks.

xoxoAlaina sighed, blowing her bangs out of her face as she rubbed her hands together. She hadn't been back to Detroit in years, and after getting, not only the news that Evelyn Mercer had died, but that Jack had been shot she was horrified. Of course she had tried to make it back to Detroit earlier, but her boss hadn't allowed her to take off work until now. She hadn't heard anything new on Jack's state, but she figured that he should be fine, someone would have called her if anything horrible had happened...right? Biting her lip, she grabbed her bag and opened the door to the car as the taxi driver pulled up in front of the Mercer house. She planned on staying at her home across the street, but she figured stopping in wouldn't hurt anyone.

xoxo"Thanks." Paying the driver, Alaina got out of the car, pulling her bag with her. The house looked different, but she attributed that to the fact that the brothers had had to fix it up after the shooting, she could see that they had yet to finish painting it and she laughed. That had probably been Bobby's job.

xoxoThe familiar walk up the driveway and into the screened in porch brought back memories of her childhood, having snowball fights with the neighborhood and climbing into the tree house that Jerry had built before Bobby had burnt it down. She could see Bobby's piece of s**t car in the driveway and, with a small smile, she walked in through the front door, ignoring the fact that she probably should have knocked on the door before barging in.

xoxo"Hey, anybody home?" Dropping her bag in the hallway, she took her jacket off and hung it on one of the hooks, before walking into the living room where Jeopardy was playing. The room was empty, but Alaina knew the brothers, if anyone was home, they always came back to the television, it was like a magnet to them, especially if there was a hockey going on.

xoxoShe pulled a pack of cigarettes from her pocket, pulling the lighter from the pack and lighting one, enjoying the taste. She'd been on a plane for five hours and then in a taxi where the driver said that she couldn't smoke, Alaina needed the nicotine fix.

xoxoIt wasn't every day that Jayden Riley stood in a holding area, waiting for what most people certainly thought would be her certain death. Normally, she would be at home in District Five working with her father as one of the system analysts at a power plant. But now, she was stuck in a dull, gray, and brightly lit holding room as her stylist finished outfitting her for the upcoming bloodbath. If she thought back, she realized that it was technically her choice to help her father's friend, Adam, in the arena and, after she volunteered for the handicapped girl in their district, after they broke out and tried to start another rebellion.

xoxoOriginally, she had found it strange that they were selecting older people from the districts for the Games that year, but when she saw that the second tribute was to be a former Victor that had been apart of the original rebellion, it made sense. They were punishing the rebellion and, now, instead of targeting the children, Snow was going straight to the cause of the problem. He was creating a bloodbath of people that had supported the rebellion, and there hadn't been anything that Jay had supported more when it was happening. The only problem with supporting it then was the fact that she had been forced into a group of women her age just like she had been when she was little and, thankfully, escaped the Games when she had been younger. And now, now she was stepping inside a tube that was to lift her up in an arena and force her to kill people just so they could start another rebellion that she secretly though might not even work.

xoxoThe fact that it had worked the first time had definitely been a long shot, but now, the Capitol was looking for something like the Third Quarter Quell and Adam hadn't exactly told her how he meant to get everyone out of that arena. Jay bit her lip as the door that had allowed her into the tube closed and her stylist sent her a small smile.

                          xoxo"Good luck."

xoxoJay nodded thankfully at the man, and then gave a gasp of surprise as the platform began escalating her up, out of the holding room and into the open arena. The sudden sunlight cause her to blink a few times before she could get a good look around her at the arena. She could see the other tributes and former Victors being risen in a half-circle, Adam was seven people to her right and he nodded to her when she caught his eye. The arena was large, and it looked like a crumbling city, like the ones that they had built Panem on top of all those years ago. It was an amazing site to Jay, the buildings that were falling apart all had plants growing on them, and you could see where the people who had once lived in the original city had built roads. The Cornucopia was in front of her, exposing supplies and weapons, everything that the tributes and Victors would need to win this ridiculous Game. However, she had been instructed to run away from it, Jay trust Adam enough, had watched reruns of his Games when the Capitol people were getting bored in the middle of the seasons. He knew what he was doing, and though she normally wouldn't do what someone had instructed her to do, she was going to run away from the large Cornucopia that was calling her name.

xoxoGrabbing at the necklace made of knotted power lines at her neck, Jay took a deep breath as the countdown sounded from hidden speakers. Ten: The plan was to run from the bloodbath that would most certainly be going on as soon as everyone stepped off their platforms and going in the opposite direction. Nine: Adam was supposed to meet up with her, but if he didn't she would have to go looking for another of the Victors and they would know everything that he had yet to tell her. Eight: She would immediately go in search of water and after she found it she was to stay there. Seven: It seemed like it would work...there would only be people getting slaughtered back here. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. Jay took one more deep breath... One.

xoxoA buzzer sounded somewhere and Jay took a step backward, getting off her platform and turning around quickly to get away from the Cornucopia. She could already hear fighting from the giant death trove, and she was suddenly glad that she had decided to follow Adam's orders as canons began going off. She sprinted through the ruble of the old city, weaving around buildings and searching for some type of water source. It was easy for Jay to just run, as a child she and the other kids her age in Five would host races after school, she wasn't always the winner of those races, but it had definitely prepared her for this. Running came almost second nature to her now.

xoxo'Now, if I were a water source...where would I be?' She brushed a stray hair from her face, and continued running, hoping that it would be at the end of the city's boundary's. Most city's were built near a water source, hopefully this one would have some sort of creek or something outside of it.

xoxoJay slowed down when she could no longer hear anything coming from the Cornucopia behind her. Her pace a fast walk, she had almost made it to the edge of what had once been the city's limits and had begun to think that maybe she should have tried to at least have grabbed a backpack before leaving. What was she supposed to do with the water once she had found it? Jay wasn't stupid, and she had definitely seen enough Games to know that the Gamemakers could and would put something that weakened the tributes into the water. She could remember in the sixty eighth Games that someone had died from drinking the water without doing anything to it. And, if there was one thing that Jay was determined not to do, it was to not die from something idiotic during this whole thing.

xoxoAs she walked, she kept her ears open, listening intently to everything around her, both to hopefully hear water and to hear if a tribute or animal was anywhere near her. As she continued, she began to hear what she had been looking for, hearing the familiar sound of water running over rocks quickly. It was faint, but just enough for her to find the source and find a small creek off the trail that she had forged for herself. Thankful for finding the water, she smiled and sat down beside it, looking back the way that she had come as she waited for Adam to find her.

xoxo'Here we go again.' Adam shook his head and took the jacket that his stylist handed him, giving her a small smile as he threw it on and then stepped into the tube that would take him up into the arena. He had been hoping after his Victory when he was sixteen that it would be his last time in the arena. It should have been, but with the third Quart Quell and now after the failed rebellion, it seemed as if the Victors were just as unlucky as the twelve to eighteen year olds.

xoxoHe was glad that they had another plan to start the rebellion again though. With him at the helm instead of a drunk from Twelve and a Gamemaker that had turned on them when things turned south, things would probably work out. It would only take a couple of days to get all of the Victors together in one place of the arena with their tributes and destroy the arena. That part of the plan had been left to the people of the Victor and tribute from Three. With their knowledge of technology, they would certainly know how to get everyone that was apart of their plan out of the arena.

xoxoAdam looked up as the platform began rising and the arena came into view. Much to his surprise, it was the ruins of a city, and he looked around, taking account of everything near the Cornucopia. There were supplies falling out of the large opening, and as the supplies got farther away, he knew that they would be less and less important and helpful to the people that grabbed them. During his scope, he spotted Jay on a platform and nodded to her, hoping that she would do as he had instructed. That girl was more independent than he had wanted, and it had been a bit of a fight to get her to listen to him in the first place. Sure, she had supported the rebellion, it had been obvious by the fact that they had put her name in one of the glass bowls, but after what had happened the first time, it wasn't much of a surprise that she hadn't agreed with him immediately.

xoxoThe countdown started and Adam closed his eyes for a moment, counting back with it. In less than ten seconds, he would have to run toward the Cornucopia and grab whatever he could get his hands on, just like he had during his Games. He could see the faces of kids he'd killed in that time flash before the back of his eyelids and Adam opened his eyes quickly again, pushing those faces out of his mind as the buzzer sounded and he started running. He didn't look back to see if Jay had followed his order, knowing that it would only distract him. Adam was focused, he'd seen a blue backpack near the opening of the Cornucopia and he was dead set on grabbing it and getting the hell out of the line of fire.

xoxoBy the time that he reached the blue backpack, there were about six out of the twenty four people had already made it there and they were picking through the weapons inside. Adam only gave them a fleeting glance, making sure that they were pretty preoccupied with what they were digging through before grabbing his bag and getting away from the Cornucopia as fast as possible. He gave a fleeting look around to find that Jay wasn't near the what he could hear now as a bloodbath as two canons went off immediately as more people went to grab weapons and supplies.

xoxoAdam shook his head slightly, not believing the fact that these people, probably the Careers, couldn't not kill someone in the arena, and then leaned down to grab one of the bricks that had fallen from the crumbling buildings, gripping it tightly in his hands as he ran away from the Cornucopia and deeper into the town, planning on actually searching for Jay when he was sure that no one could see him.

xoxo"Which way did you go Jay?" He turned right behind one of the buildings, finding that the structure was mostly intact and that vines were growing up the side of it, taking over the unimpressive architecture that the people before Panem used. Adam popped his neck and shifted the backpack strap higher up onto his shoulder as he jogged through buildings and around them, searching for his district partner.

xoxo“There were others not far behind which means in a few hours they’ll be here.” Jay nodded and bit her lip, wondering how close the people could be now. A few hours could give whoever it was a lot of travel time and if they weren't far behind Adam and Kit they could be about to close in on their little resting spot at any minute. However, she also didn't know much about the Careers, when shown on television during the Games, they usually showed them when they were lounging about with their large amount of supplies or they were killing an innocent child. They didn't exactly show their strategy, and with two people that were originally Careers, they would probably have the upper hand on them now. But, they still should get a move on.

xoxoJay followed Adam and Kit, surprised when Finnick matched his stride to hers. She could see that he was keeping a close eye on the District Two female and knew that he didn't trust her at all. Not that she didn't disagree with him. Kit was from District Two, a district that supported the Capitol, and her Games had been pretty bloody because of her. That woman knew how to manipulate men, and even other women. Jay was glad for Finnick's company though, he took her mind off of the fact that she could have to kill someone at any given moment. As they walked, Jay could see Kit getting restless and Jay couldn't tell if she was tired of letting the group survive or if she was just bored by the pace that Adam had set. Truthfully, Jay had to agree on that last part. The pace they were walking in was sort of slow, and though Adam had probably set it this was to conserve energy, but it would have been much easier to run through the arena to find a new place faster.

xoxoThey continued walking through the rest of the day, and as the sun began setting, it was growing colder. Jay, who was still gripping her dagger, pulled the sleeves of the jacket her stylist had given her down to where she was gripping them. She'd already stretched whatever fabric it was made out of. She was glad, once again, that she had taken her hair down earlier, her neck, though still cold, had a bit of protection.

xoxo“This looks as good a place as any to stop, these will provide shelter from rain or wind and it’ll keep us out of sight from anyone.” Kit spoke up finally, indicating over to the ruins. The building hadn't completely fallen down and there was a roof from the second story floor that they could sleep under. It could prove useful if it started raining. Adam nodded in agreement with Kit and walked over to the building, pulling his bag from his back and setting it down to take a canteen out. “I’d offer to hunt, but I’m sure it would make you uncomfortable at the thought of me going out alone”

xoxoJay had to stop herself from rolling her eyes at the District Two female. This little act was wearing on her fast, but she didn't want to piss her off just yet. Especially if she was going to be spending time with them in this arena. Kit could kill her in her sleep. As they settle down a little, Jay smiled as Finnick teased Kit about the snake, finding it funny that the woman had been afraid of one. She almost wish that she could have been there to have seen her freak out. As the woman walked away, Finnick looked after her for a moment, his fingers tightening against his trident again before he looked at Adam and then hung back with her. Brushing a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear, she turned her attention to Finnick as he addressed her.

xoxo“There must be a stream nearby, but I’d hate to leave you alone. Never know when you’ll be in need of me” Jay smiled at him and watched as he took a seat and leaned into one of the ruined walls. “I've got a lot of uses."

xoxoJay quirked an eyebrow, feeling her face grow hot again. To cover it up, she snorted, looking at him "You're pretty sure of yourself, aren't you?" She bit her lip again and shook her head for a moment, knowing that what she'd said had mainly been for the cameras that were surely watching them at the moment. If Finnick was in their group, they would certainly be the ones with the most camera time, and Jay didn't want to seem like Katniss had. She could still remember watching the cave scene and thinking it was a crock of crap. She looked at Finnick again, watching as he turned his head up to the sky. It was getting a bit darker, and with the sun the temperature was going down ever more. If there was one thing that she did not like, it was being cold.

xoxoShe took a seat next to Finnick and crossed her arms, feeling the heat that seemed to radiate from the District Four male's skin. They, including Adam, sat in silence until Kit came back and Finnick began teasing her again. "Run into any snakes?" When the brunette shook her head, he seemed to almost pout, "Shame, I'd love to hear you scream."

xoxoJay gave a soft laugh at his comment as Kit snorted. Finnick seemed to get defensive then though, cutting her what sounded, to Jay, a curt reply about him not actually offering what she was thinking. Without waiting for Kit's retort, he changed the subject, “Since you failed to bring back food I’ll go see what I can grab.” He turned his attention away from the District Two woman and looked at Jay, "I could use some help."

xoxoShe was sure that he could have handled fishing on his own, but she couldn't stop herself from accepting his tempting offer. Jay followed him as Finnick walked out of the camp and then stopped, listening for something before walking again and finding water. She watched silently as he leaned down and rolled his pant legs up and then stepped into the water. He was definitely at home standing there, looking like he belonged in the water. When he nodded to her, Jay was surprised.

xoxo"Come here, I'll show you how to fish." Jay hesitated for a moment before copying Finnick's movements, rolling her pant legs up as well and stepping into the cold water taking the hand that he had offered her. She shivered slightly as the cool liquid touched her skin and then looked over at the District Four male expectantly.

xoxoFinnick pulled Jay to stand in front of him, her back touching the front of his chest as he nudged her foot into a specific stance, going into full teaching mood now as he looked away from her and back down to the water. She was shivering slightly from the cold water as a result she tapping her foot quickly to try and warm herself up a little, "Stay still." She stopped tapping her foot as Finnick brought his trident in front of her, placing her hands on the, surprisingly, heavy rod, angling the three prongs downward. His cheek was touching hers as he leaned down slightly to her height as he instructed her, and Jay could see from the corner of her eye as his lips twitched into a slight smile. "See that one there?" his voice was gruffer for some reason as he turned his attention back to the water and Jay scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. What had caused that tone?

xoxo"Now!" He pushed the trident down, bringing Jay's hands with his as the prongs of the trident speared the fish. Jay let out a triumphant laugh as Finnick spoke again. "See, nothing to it." He let go of the trident now, standing next to her now as moved her differently and told her to time it right. Jay, who had been looking at Finnick as he re-positioned her, turned her attention back to the water where a few more fish were swimming around. She waited for a moment, staring down at the fish and stabbing the trident into the water, missing the fish she had been aiming for by inches.

                          xoxoJay shook her head, "Damn."

                          TIME SKIP!

xoxoShe and Finnick returned with a little less than an armful of fish, most of wish had been caught by the District Four male who was carrying the fish beside her. To say that she was not good at fishing was an understatement, Jay decided that she should just stick with technology, it was much easier. Electricity could kill people in water anyway, she should be messing around in it. However, even as she thought about that, Jay couldn't push the thoughts of how fun it had been, being with Finnick as he tried to teach her how to fish. He had looked like some sort of sea god when he was taking his turn doing it. After he'd seen how hopeless Jay had been, he decided to take over at the end there so they would bring some food for the other two in their group.

xoxoWhen they got back to the camp, Jay could see Adam sitting in the shelter they had found, looking around and then smiling at her when he spotted them. She returned the smile to her mentor and then looked over at Finnick as he borrowed her dagger to clean the fish. Jay made a face, and then sat down on the grass, picking at it again and then tying the strands together in a bracelet like she had made her little brother when they were younger. When Kit spoke from beside her, she started, looking over at the District Two female with a slight glare.

xoxo"Was it what you were expecting?" Jay glared over at Kit and shook her head.

xoxo"Not yet. But, I'm sure that will change if we get attacked anytime soon."

xoxo"She's a natural." Adam laughed slightly, he highly doubted that the Jay had been good at fishing. They didn't have anything to fish from in Five, unless you counted the dam that they used to create hydroelectricity for the other districts, but that didn't count, there weren't any fish in the man made lake. He saw the wink that he shot over at Jay and quirked an eyebrow at the District Four male. What was this guy doing?

xoxo"Just remember what we came here for kid." He patted Finnick on the arm as the District Four male began cleaning the fish. Jay was sitting at the edge of the camp with Kit and Adam decided to keep an eye on them. He still didn't trust Kit, didn't understand why she had decided to team up with them. It didn't make sense; she had won her Games with the Careers, it only seemed fitting that she try to win with them now, unless this was some ploy to take them down for the Careers. Kit wasn't going to be taking watch tonight...he didn't trust her not to slit their throats while they slept.

xoxo “Why don’t you set up a fire? Under that overhang would lessen the smoke.” Adam nodded, liking the idea that he would have something to do, he felt restless, something more should have happened by now. But, as he went to go set up the fire, Kit left her spot by Jay and did it herself. Finnick made a snide remark and then shot Adam a surprised look, which Adam replied in kind. What was she planning? He'd known Kit for a long time, and she wasn't usually one to do something that someone had told her to do. She'd seduced her way through her Games, but that wasn't what she was pulling here.

xoxoMoments later, Kit had a nice little fire going and Finnick began to argue with her about the fact that she was burning the fish. Adam sat down, away from the bickering twenty something year olds and leaned against one of the ruin's walls. He could see Jay from the corner of his eye, looking around the arena, her back was extremely straight, and she was focused on the arena around them. It reminded him of when he's seen her working back home in Five, focused on whatever she was working on, and he suddenly wondered what she was thinking about before the fish was deemed fully cooked.

xoxoStanding up, Adam walked back to the fire, taking one of the fish and then watching as Finnick sat beside Jay, making a some comment about the fish that she was eating. He cracked a small smile when she said that it was the smallest one, it was true, compared to the ones that Finnick had caught, the fish she was eating was next to nothing. He couldn't understand why she'd have picked the smallest. Then again he had never seen her eat all that much in Five, at least from what he'd gathered when she was working and through the meetings that they had had together before the Reaping.

xoxoAdam finished eating and the Capitol emblem lit up the darkened sky, showing the nine people that had died. He was surprised that there were so few people that had died, normally on the first day more than half of the people died. The Gamemakers weren't going to like that. The people of the Capitol were extremely picky and it seemed as if there hadn't been a lot of action, Adam wouldn't be surprised if they pulled something tonight. In fact they would need to be more on guard than usual tonight.

xoxo"We should probably get some sleep, Adam I can take first watch. I'll wake you up in four hours?" Adam nodded in agreement to Finnick's statement and saw as he stood up, calling Jay red and telling her to sleep tight. Adam quirked an eyebrow again, this time pointed at her as she smiled at him. They both needed to focus.

xoxoUsing his jacket, he made a makeshift pillow, his rock still gripped tightly in his hand. If someone got passed Finnick, or if Kit decided that it was as good a time as any to attack them, he would be ready.

xoxo“You can wake me up after your shift” He nodded at her, deciding that he wouldn't be waking her up. He'd wake Jay up before Kit, but with the amount of casualties that had happened, he probably would wake Finnick again. He didn't trust Kit to keep watch for anything, he wasn't going to put their lives into her hands.

xoxoAdam woke up a little earlier than when Finnick was supposed to get him up, so, he stood up, touching Finnick on the shoulder as he sat on the edge of camp, "I'll take over from here. Go to sleep."

xoxoSterling watched the island, enjoying the sight of the palm trees swaying in the slight breeze that had started up. It was a warm day and he couldn't decided whether or not it was a good thing. On one hand, it was nice to have a warm and sunny day, but on the other hand, it would be hell going around the island searching for the treasure that they had come here for.

xoxoAllana was interrupted by Jade as she spoke about finding movement on the island. Sterling quirked an eyebrow in surprise. They had been surveying this island for days and there hadn't been any movement before...how could there be any now? No one could have gotten onto the island without their knowledge. There was no way that they could have missed something like that, and if they had somehow gotten through their cracks, they surely would have noticed a ship somewhere. He watched as Allana looked through the spy glass and then he turned his attention to the island again, not able to see anything without the spy glass he scowled. How the hell could anyone have gotten there?

xoxoAs his sister handed the spy glass back to Jade and instructed the navigator to equip herself with some sort of weapon, Sterling ran a hand through his hair and then placed his hand on the gun that was resting in it's holster on his hip. Allana wouldn't be happy that someone was on her island, and it was definitely going to mean that the people on it would surrender or there would be a fight. He had a strange feeling that it would be the latter.

xoxo"I'm going ahead. These sorry bastards will regret the day they even imagined making a journey here." He was about to protest when his sister stalked off of the ship, going ashore.

xoxoHe shook his head and then looked back at Jade, "We should probably go help her." With a sigh, Sterling followed his little sister to the shore, climbing down the rope ladder after her, a few minutes after a gun shot was heard. His sister could definitely make a mark on the people that they were forcing to surrender.

xoxoFollowing after Allana quietly, he spotted the blonde walking away from the group and quirked an eyebrow, indicating silently with his head that he would follow her and bring her back to the group and then walked off after her, using the trees as cover.

xoxoIn the few short years that he had become a pirate on his little sister's crew, Sterling had learned a few things. First, unless you were armed and knew how to protect yourself, you didn't go off alone. And second, women absolutely love it when they meet a pirate, which he could never understand but would never complain about. Sterling smiled at the thought and then caught up to the blonde enough to be able to see her.

xoxoWhen the blonde stopped, he quirked an eyebrow again, wondering what she was doing until she happily exclaimed about finding running water and then followed the sound. Obviously this chick was new to whatever crew she was apart of. Not only was she wearing something that pirates hadn't worn since the eighteenth century, but she was also acting proud of herself about finding running water. Sterling shook his head and continued following her, finding the woman slightly interesting.

xoxo“Too dangerous, my a**, I can handle myself." Sterling let out a soft chuckled and walked out of his hiding spot, pulling his gun from the holster and pointing it at her back.

xoxo"You might want to reevaluate that sweetheart."

eccentricMaybe she wasn't cut out for this. Cadence Smith had sat up in her chair with the only other victor from Twelve and known as soon as they announced the theme of the 75th Games that she was going back in. It didn't really matter with who to be honest, no one from Twelve had won in the six years since she had, and she just had to make sure that she was the person who came out again. Snow had made it quite obvious during his speech that this a result of all the unrest in the districts and he hadn't even need to imply it when he said that the tribute going into the arena was going to be above eighteen. It was a way to take care of the rebels, hopefully they got one of the leaders and they died in the Games and then Snow could pretend that everything was back to normal.

eccentricIt was foolish to think that everything would turn out all right, but the look in Snow's eyes as he had spoken had said all that Cadence had really needed to know, once the Games were over if things didn't quiet down things were going to get a lot tougher for many more people and she wasn't quite sure how she felt about all of it. Everything in Twelve had been calm, things were as they always were the Peacekeepers pretended to do their jobs and the citizens avoided them as much as possible unless there was someone offering coin for a little money. Kids still starved down in the Seam...and thoughts of unrest were few and far between. People could fight the Capitol if they weren't being fed.

eccentricCadence had resigned herself to going back into the Games the second they had learned what they were being forced into this year, but it still didn't change her heart pounding as she and Haymitch were directed to their area, sitting next to the people that were being rounded up for the chance decision of the second tribute. The square was quiet after the video was played and the treaties were ready and she had to fight to keep her composure, the anticipation for her name to be called from the glass bowl that had only two names in it was almost unbearable and the fact that Effie Trinket seemed to be talking much slower than usual was almost grating on Cadence's nerves.

eccentric"Cadence Smith." Trinket's smile was warm as Cadence walked to the stage, her lone clapping echoing through the quiet square for a moment before she realized no one was going to join her. Sponsors, water, food. Haymitch had long since given up in trying to Mentor the tributes that were chosen for the Games, but Cadence was still trying, so the list of things to do was easier to focus on than anything else. It was going to be much more helpful this time around, now that she knew what she was doing in and out of the arena, she knew how to get sponsors and she had enough 'friends' in the Capitol that should be more than willing to bet on her if she played it right.

eccentricIt was almost comical to her that six months ago the fact that going back to the arena had caused so much stress and given her so many nightmares and then when her name was called she was nothing but calm and collected, but she took it as a good sign that she would get out again.
