Welcome to WiLD CHiLD: KiLLeR iNSTiNCT, an remake of a roleplay for advanced roleplayers created by one of my friends named, Most Awfully Bad. She created this in 2006 and I am happy to say that I was there when it started. However since then MAB and most of the others havn't been on Gaia, so there was no was that we could make a remake of the thread with all of the old people. The year is 2116, the month of June; The Cavalry knows all - sees all. For sixteen teenagers in New York City, that knowledge alone is enough to kill them.

These are no ordinary teens. Their memories start in 2107, but they were all born years before that. Such large gaps seemed unexplainable - until they discovered there was something else about them that made them unusual. Whenever these sixteen are angry, or scared, they begin to change. They take on strange, animalistic appearances; they gain honed senses, and special abilities no normal human body should be able to withstand, let alone maintain at a constant rate. And yet, that is what they've discovered they can do. They know what they are, but they know to tell is to die; they are the Wild Child, created by the Revolutionaries in 2104 to be used as tools by an unnamed rebel group to destroy the world order in 2105. They are the only Subjects left of this extraordinary achievement; they are dangerous; they are hunted.

As they grow, their powers are becoming harder and harder to control; they find themselves transforming at unexplainable times, for unexplainable reasons, and their transformations are increasingly violent. They begin to lose themselves to the animals within them, and are sometimes on the edge of losing control altogether. Afraid, they refuse their transformations, and it's beginning to show; when refused, transformations tend to force their way out. If they are discovered, they will be executed by The Cavalry without a second thought - more accurately, without any thought at all. They all have families, they all have friends, they all have lives, and those are each in increasing jeopardy.

Unknown to all, there is someone else hunting the Wild Child - a possible savior, who may be able to teach the Wild Child how to control their powers, to use them as a gift rather than a danger; Yet there is another who would rather them suffer a crueler fate, one who would relive the rebellion of 2105, only with more blood and less kindness. Both are for their preservation, not their execution, and may be their only hope of surviving passed their next birthdays. Both know that, the moment the year ends, their animals will overcome them, and they will lose all sense of human self - they will, in short, become living tools of destruction, without human morals or comprehension, and their animal selves will not rest until the human race lies dying beneath them. However, one prays that he can reach the Wild Child before that time to help them survive and conquer their animal selves; the other wishes to have them lose to their instincts, become that which he can manipulate, and bend to his will.

Test the waters of the world, cheat death, and taunt fate. Will you lose yourself to the alien animal inside of you, or will you master your instincts and overcome your boundaries? Only you can decide, and time is running out.

Are you ready? Are you willing? Are you WiLD?

The year is 2098 ;; Overwhelmed by the upheaval of morals and justice in the new turn-of-the-century global democracy, the United Nations creates a sibling organization called the International Defensive Response Team, which is quickly nicknamed The Cavalry. Maintained by humans and patrolled by human and android alike, The Cavalry have a main bureau in each capital city of the countries in the United Nations - which now boasts ties with every country on the planet - with outposts in major cities across each country, and have only one task; control the miscreant populations of the world, and restore the order long forgotten.

The year is 2100 ;; Only two years after the creation of The Cavalry, the world is finally - seemingly - at peace. The swift and accurate capture of mob bosses, gang leaders, and solo criminals alike has eradicated the majority of the threats of 2098, and crime is at it's lowest since the creation of the UN itself. Brewing under the surface, however, is a rebellion.

Nevada, USA ;; A group of scientists known as Revolutionaries (whom in 2098 were all happily experimenting with illegal human de-evolution and bio-genetic alterations) receive a privately funded research and development request from an anonymous rebel party. In exchange for complete coverage of all costs, plus an additional $3.5 million each when the project is successfully completed, the scientists must develop a way to combine animal DNA into the human genome to produce a being that is neither human nor animal, with extraordinary abilities unfathomable to The Cavalry and its resources.

The year is 2104 ;; by abducting street children and orphans from across the globe for use as test subjects, the Revolutionaries have perfected the combination of human and animal DNA. They create countless successful Subjects, each with super-human abilities and no memories of their previous lives. The Revolutionaries present their triumph to their anonymous business partners, who are thrilled with the results.

One week later The Cavalry, acting on an anonymous tip, storm the hidden Revolutionaries laboratory, only to find each member slaughtered, and the laboratory devoid of any documentation of the experiments they were conducting. What they do find, however, is a map of the Nevada desert. Upon further investigation of the map, they find a marking hidden with a simple invisible ink near the center of the map. The Cavalry soon arrive at the marked destination; an old, run-down storage warehouse. Inside are the bodies of over a thousand children, none older than six, disposed of by the Revolutionaries when their experiments failed. Some children bear unmistakably animalistic mutations such as beaks and wings, fur and claws, fins and scales. They also find the partially destroyed records of nearly ninety Subjects - and their combined animal DNA.

The year is 2105 ;; The Cavalry begin receiving reports from bureaus all over the world of attacks from super-humans, each with unique and powerful abilities. Unable to cope with this new threat, many bureaus fall within hours of the first attack. Groups of four and five children storm the bureaus, slaughtering human and android alike without batting an eyelash. Desperate to maintain the peace they worked so hard to restore, The Cavalry retreat to their center of Operations in Iceland.

The year is approaching 2106 ;; By gathering information from intelligence reports and photos taken by special unit androids, The Cavalry begin the systematic hunting and killing of each "Wild Child". Within six months, over 500 are killed, and The Cavalry is once again under control.

The year is 2106 ;; By gathering information from intelligence reports and photos taken by special unit androids, The Cavalry began the systematic hunting and killing of each Wild Child in late 2105. Within six months, over 500 are killed, and The Cavalry is once again regaining control. When they uncover the name of the rebel group controlling the Wild Child armies, The Cavalry wipes them out one by one. It appears to all that the Wild Child threat is gone, and peace is restored once again.

Please make sure you've read all of the rules and regulations on this page before applying to the RPG. You won't get in unless you do!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
&&;;&& The Gaia ToS is not for decoration. Failure to understand this will be your downfall.
&&;;&& This RPG is for literate RPers only. If you do not have a good grasp on the English language, you will not be allowed here. There is a minimum of 800 words per post.
&&;;&& Please keep OOC posts out of this thread. That is what an OCC thread is for.
&&;;&& As a requirement when you send in your application, you must use the second part of the roleplay title in the subject of your PM.
&&;;&& There will be violence, since this is an action RPG, but please don't get too in-depth with descriptive violence. Some stomachs can only take so much.
&&;;&& When in doubt about what you're posting, ask in the OOC thread first!
&&;;&& Members are required to post at least two days in a week. If you know you will not be able to do this, do not apply.
&&;;&& Anyone removed from the RPG may feel free to reapply in a week's time - if there are still spaces left - depending on the severity of the reason they were removed. If you were removed due to inactivity or pointless posts, you will be able to reapply once. Removal for any other reason, including unneeded rudeness, means you don't get another chance.

MEMBER/CHARACTER iNFORMATiON
&&;;&& There will be a lot of fighting going on at some points in the game, but there will also be slow periods perfect for character development. Talk with your fellow RPers; the creation of sub-plots, enemies, friendships and romances are all encouraged.
&&;;&& All of the children must be between the age's of fourteen and eighteen, and must be in high school.
&&;;&& There are eight boys and eight girls. I might allow more if needed, but I think for now sixteen is a good number.
&&;;&& Regarding animals, I really don't want to see breeds of dogs or types of house cats. Be something exciting! [[examples ;; Jackson Chameleon, Blue Poison Arrow Frog, Andalusian Horse, European Rabbit, American Peregrine Falcon, ETC.]]
&&;;&& You may give the animals inside of them names, but you don't have to. They all have names but it's up to them if they give the names up to their humans. If they hate their humans they aren't likely to give up their names, but if they are kind of friends they are more likely.
&&;;&& Inactive RPers will be warned after 7 days of inactivity, and removed from the game after an additional 5 days. If you know you are going to be unable to post - a vacation, long absence, etcetera - please PM me about it.
&&;;&& Once again, there is a minimum of 800 words, but I do understand writers block every once in a while.short post with no substance, or you are breaking a rude for no apparent reason and don't seem willing to stop, you will be removed from the RPG.

ABOUT TRANSFORMATiONS

Transformations are tricky things for characters to control. When they feel the urge to transform, their skin becomes extremely tight-feeling and very itchy. Transforming itself is not very painful, but it is a fairly uncomfortable experience. Characters' bones shift to compensate for the bone structure of the animal they've been combined with, which is the only painful part of a transformation; it is very brief, however.

When your character transforms, they should be about the same height as they were when they started, depending on the animal. If your animal is known for being immense, very tall, or incredibly tiny, your character's size may increase or decrease if you so wish it.

When you apply, please be sure to do a little bit of research about the animal you're combined with. Make sure you aren't giving your character powers that your animal could not have given them!
