The year is 2116, the month of June; The Cavalry knows all - sees all. For sixteen teenagers in New York City, that knowledge alone is enough to kill them.
These are no ordinary teens. Their memories start in 2107, but they were all born years before that. Such large gaps seemed unexplainable - until they discovered there was something else about them that made them unusual. Whenever these sixteen are angry, or scared, they begin to change. They take on strange, animalistic appearances; they gain honed senses, and special abilities no normal human body should be able to withstand, let alone maintain at a constant rate. And yet, that is what they've discovered they can do. They know what they are, but they know to tell is to die; they are the Wild Child, created by the Revolutionaries in 2104 to be used as tools by an unnamed rebel group to destroy the world order in 2105. They are the only Subjects left of this extraordinary achievement; they are dangerous; they are hunted.
As they grow, their powers are becoming harder and harder to control; they find themselves transforming at unexplainable times, for unexplainable reasons, and their transformations are increasingly violent. They begin to lose themselves to the animals within them, and are sometimes on the edge of losing control altogether. Afraid, they refuse their transformations, and it's beginning to show; when refused, transformations tend to force their way out. If they are discovered, they will be executed by The Cavalry without a second thought - more accurately, without any thought at all. They all have families, they all have friends, they all have lives, and those are each in increasing jeopardy.
Unknown to all, there is someone else hunting the Wild Child - a possible savior, who may be able to teach the Wild Child how to control their powers, to use them as a gift rather than a danger; Yet there is another who would rather them suffer a crueler fate, one who would relive the rebellion of 2105, only with more blood and less kindness. Both are for their preservation, not their execution, and may be their only hope of surviving passed their next birthdays. Both know that, the moment the year ends, their animals will overcome them, and they will lose all sense of human self - they will, in short, become living tools of destruction, without human morals or comprehension, and their animal selves will not rest until the human race lies dying beneath them. However, one prays that he can reach the Wild Child before that time to help them survive and conquer their animal selves; the other wishes to have them lose to their instincts, become that which he can manipulate, and bend to his will.
Test the waters of the world, cheat death, and taunt fate. Will you lose yourself to the alien animal inside of you, or will you master your instincts and overcome your boundaries? Only you can decide, and time is running out.
Are you ready? Are you willing? Are you WiLD?
