Daeva (noun) : Violent, humanoid, winged beings from another world. Like Novae (see below), their world fell to corruption, but they rose to the skies and continued to survive. Like humans, the most important organs in their bodies are their brains and their hearts. Their hearts, however, are very small while their brains are much larger and have greater influence. They have developed psychic abilities and frailer bodies in place of their lack of natural predators (aside from themselves), but are more closely akin to birds of prey than token divine creatures. They are distinguished by their wing patterning; family members may have different colourations, but will all share the same (or very similar) patterning on the feathers. They have different coloured and/or shaped eyes depending on their relations as well. All Daeva have short, sharp teeth meant for crunching through thick, dense material rather than slicing or chewing, and are usually only used when fighting for a mate. Even then, mating is rare among Daeva because of how violent it is; potential mates often die in the process of fighting other candidates, and even partners die when fighting over who will care for the offspring. In many times, offspring will be abandoned by both parents and left to die on their own if they cannot care for themselves. The lifespan of a Daeva compared to a human is approximately a 10 to 1 year ratio. Daeva will mature and grow into adults just as quickly as humans do though, even if they would still be regarded as children among their own kind.

(Singular) Daeva ;; (Plural) Daeva ;; (Adjective) Daevic

Damned, The (noun) : The souls of the ones that have moved onto the afterlife, but have not settled upon their convictions to be judged. They live with and wander within That Who Question's realm until they have determined who they are.

Dracoman (noun) : The surviving participants of the Dragon Experiment currently taking refuge (or did take refuge) with Klaus Schwarz. The term "dracoman" is a self nominated term by the survivours. They are the result of the merge of human DNA and dragon DNA to form a new species in between; they are neither dragon nor human, and are related to other genetic hybrids such as hinnies and mules. The appearance, physical biology, structure, and capabilities of each dracoman is dependent on the type of dragon's DNA merged with the subject. Subjects will take after the specific species of dragon DNA they were given. (Ex. a subject merged with a storm dragon's DNA would become a storm dracoman.) Although the lifespan of a dracoman depends on the DNA of the dragon he/she/they were given, most will live up to 2 or 3 times the longest human lifespan.

Dragon Experiment (noun / concept) : An attempt by humans to merge the DNA of supernatural creatures with human DNA. Dragon DNA was the first set that was successfully merged without killing the subjects, and thus, spurred the name the "Dragon Experiment."

Dragon Experiment (noun / facility) : The facility where the Dragon Experiment was progressed away from public knowledge. Willing volunteers were offered shelter and food and compensation in order for participating and remaining silent. After the health and futures of all subjects threatened to break loose from the facility and reveal the immoral practices of the facility, sponsors and members of the scientific team attempted to silence all participants. Klaus Schwarz, instead, burned down the facility and herded all survivours into the wilderness to live a new life in secrecy away from humanity.

Guise of Ideas (noun) : A "skin" that cloaks the true identity of one that enters a world where they should not exist. Because their presence is a discrepancy to what is natural to the world, they are forced into a guise that causes them to be able to exist in that world. Upon the death of the individual, the guise is returned to the world's borders and the entity is forced back out into the Void safely. Entering another world without a guise risks the destruction of the idea of the individual entirely upon death. They would be treated as a non-existent entity and erased.

Molten Dragon (noun) : A large dragon species normally found in the Southern mountains closer to the equator where the sun is hottest and closest to the land. They're distinguishable for the spots of heat that will glow underneath their hide in circulation. Unlike other dragons, they may survive through winter due to the ability to regulate their own heat and keep themselves warm. As their name suggests, they may breathe fire or spit lava at their enemies. They are known for being solitary creatures, claiming entire volcanoes for their own.

Nephalem (noun) : A creature that, in legend, is said to be the offspring between a demon and an angel, but in reality, is its own species, and is comprised of neither demons nor angels. They are a genderless, ageless species connected That Who Judges and That Who Questions, who are also genderless, ageless species (though unnamed) of their own. Only two nephalem exist in the world at a time: the current and its heir.

Nova (noun) : Bipedal creatures from another world made of primarily of brimstone and magma. Their ancient ancestors used to have skin and rule their lands, but corruption over time and the death of their world has pushed them down the food chain. The flesh of their young is seared in lava at birth and left to form into armor made from stone and metal. Their blood and body temperature has heightened to adapt to the rising heat of their atmosphere. They closely resemble wolves behaviour, forming nomadic packs and relying on numbers to overpower their enemies and prey. They, however, are extremely agile and capable of scaling extreme angles on their hoofed feet like goats. Their biology has changed and mutated due to the death of their world and changing lands. As they grow older and their flesh becomes a part of the stone, their bone becomes dense, yet still flexible. Their tails, rather than being used for balance, are used as defense tools to knock enemies off their feet or break ankles. Their horns are actually the accumulation of stone built upon what used to be ears. Their nails are their phalanges. Due to the searing hot and somewhat toxic air, they have lost presence of a mouth and communicate through body gestures and actions instead. Despite this, they have a very human government that takes after a human monarchy. Royalty are distinguished from others by the presence of wings and ability to use magic. The actions of their councils determine the actions of the rest of the pack, and disobedience is not tolerated. They are a hermaphroditic species, but ability to marry or mate is restricted only to royalty and/or knighted individuals. The lifespan of a Nova compared to a human is approximately a 6 to 1 year ratio.

(Singular) Nova ;; (Plural) Novae ;; (Adjective) Novish

Noxious Dragon (noun) : Variations of these dragons came depend on which environment they come from. Different dragons will produce different kinds of toxins, but all are created from a long history of exposure to hazardous air or vegetation. Some adapted from the smoke and ash-filled air next to volcanoes while others may have adapted from the abundance of poisonous animals within rain forests -- among many other locations. All noxious dragons are incapable of spitting elements, but spit poisons instead. They may also release toxic fumes through their skin to drive away predators or intruders in their territory.

Onyx Dragon (noun) : Onyx dragons, unlike other dragons, do not use magic or element-imbued breaths to defend themselves. Being born from the stone of restless mountains, these dragons are known for their incredibly thick hides, heavy weight, and most of all, their brute strength. They are said to be able to move the mountains they come from, but whether or not this is true has yet to be determined. Onyx dragons are commonly found in any locations with plentiful rocky terrain isolated from human contact.

Storm Dragon (noun) : A smaller species of dragon that vary in what kind of weather they control. These dragons are capable of living in many environments due to their ability to adapt to different living conditions. Storm dragons that live in snowy areas tend to be able to control snowfall while those living in hotter locations may control heat and dryness.

That Who Judges (noun) : The entity that judges the souls of those that have moved onto the afterlife. It is often also called "God," but is not a being of creation; it is merely that which its name implies.

That Who Questions (noun) : The entity that houses the souls that have moved onto the afterlife if they have not settled upon their convictions to be judged. It is often also called "The Devil," but is not a being of temptation and sin; it is merely that which its name implies.

That Who Records (noun) : The entity that records the history of the world and stores it away for reference to future beings.

Void (noun) : A space where all that exist, did exist, and have yet to exist (or not exist) accumulates. All things that are and are not (yet) reside here, waiting to become relevant. Different worlds also all reside in this one space and exist freely. It is considered the link to everything that is known and not known.
