Luciphen was Atlea born. His mother and father were both militant and thought best to also prepare him for such the career as well. But that wasn’t what Luciphen wanted. Luciphen wanted to go to learn art from the schools up north and become an artist. But being as he was an only child, Luciphen had no choice but to follow in his parents footsteps. Fresh out of school, Luciphen joined the service and learned how to serve his state as did his parents and grandparents and others before him. During his time in service, he wrote notes to his sweetheart back at home, Faeriene. He knew her ambitions and wished to see them through.
But his time in the military got extended when it seemed like everyone went to war with one another. Personally witnessing many people die in the heat of battle, as well as being an eye witness to the death of Faeriene’s father. Once the war was over, Luciphen returned home from the military with an honorable discharge. He just couldn’t do it anymore, and since he technically had already served his time; he just wanted out. Around this time, Faeriene’s mother had passed and he almost lost his love as well since she had taken the death of her mother so hard. However, he continued to write her until he received a letter back saying she was moving to Sparenza and that she wanted him to come with her.
Upon moving to Sparenza with Faeriene, Luciphen took up shop in the local Jewelry Boutique. It wasn’t art, but it allowed him to be creative in coming up with new jewelry ideas. As the years flew by, Luciphen was slowly slipping into a terrible depression though, and it wasn’t his lovers fault. His dreams haunted him from being on the battlefield and the things he witnessed. Slowly he grew more and more violent around her, Faeriene couldn’t understand why. Then on the day she announced her pregnancy to him, Luciphen like to have flipped out. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to have a baby. Or that he was growing tired of Faeriene; he was worried. With each passing day, it was becoming harder and harder for him to hide his demons from her. This lasted until one night he actually struck his dearest in the face. It was then, they mutually decided it was no longer safe for him and her to live together; called off their relationship and Faeriene found her own place to live.
To this day, Luciphen hates he lost the love of his life and would be missing out raising his own child. But it was for the better. He would never forgive himself if he had hurt his love and his own blood.
