tab tab One drawback with Charlie is her stubbornness and compulsiveness behavior. Those who know her would say it's her endless need to sass everyone she can but that's easy to overlook. She has a need to prove people wrong and once she has her mind set on something, she'll go through with it no matter what. Sometimes, this gets her in trouble with her family and pack but half the time she doesn't care, which puts her in a precarious spot as the pack's beta. She's been by herself in the past and while she barely made it through by the skin of her teeth, she could do it again.

- At a young age became best friends with the alpha's youngest son, Samuel, wherever he was, she wasn't far behind.

- Told everyone she only wanted to travel, the real reason was she still didn't like the sacrificing process
- No one knows why she came back, not even Sam. Truth is, she got into a bad relationship with a werewolf where the dude kept her drugged until one day she snapped and killed him.
- While it's been years since it happened, she does have some PTSD and sees a therapist for her problems.
- Once she was back it took her some time to get re-established in the pack, where she eventually rose through the ranks and became beta
- It's been almost 3 years since she realized she's in love with Sam but still hasn't said anything or made a move

tab When Samuel had begun talking to Charlie about taking over his chores for the day, the beta had only half listened. It wasn't that she was being rude but she was trying to compartmentalize the instructions with along with not mouthing off to Sam. She loved the man, in more ways than one but at the moment she wanted to strangle him. It was like he was the only one with a life, who had places to be. It wasn't fair that he didn't take into consideration what she or the others needed or wanted to do that day. Granted, she was internally whining like a little b***h but she was only running on a few hours of sleep. She had stay late after the bar had closed it's doors to patrons to help do inventory and make a check list of items they need for the next night of the pumpkin patch, it always seemed to bring in more tourists. In the end she nodded along to his words and once the man left, she sighed knowing her packmates would likely grumble their unhappiness to her but just like she did, they too would follow the chain of command.

tab It actually didn't take her long to finish her chores around the trailer park so she stopped at her trailer packed a bag and headed to the ranch to do her chores there and she actually found the time to do a little horseback riding when she was done. Horseback riding was one of the few things that could calm her down that didn't include violence. While she preferred to use her fists to get all that energy out, it wasn't exactly the most sane way to do it, hence her love of horses but at least when her anger got the best of her she wasn't out murdering people. She tried to set time aside to get her horse out during the week so when Sam had told her to come to the ranch to feed the animals she hadn't been to upset. After putting her horse away and feeding him, she promised to come back the next day. Charlie brushed the sweat from her forehead as she headed into Sam's house to shower, she didn't really have to time to go home plus she loved pushing her friends buttons as much as she could.

tab By the time she reached the patch, the volunteers were starting to make their way in. She noticed Sam's motorcycle and few other vehicles that belonged to her co-workers. Elijah had told her if she came to help set up the drinks booth, she'd be free for most of the night since she had worked the previous few nights. Honestly, she didn't mind but she wanted to volunteer to do one of the trail rides or even the haunted house trail ride. Charlotte took a deep breath as she grabbed her work apron and made her way inside the patch to check in. However, she did make it in very far before she smelled her alpha and before she knew it Sam was standing behind her with a questioning look on his face.

tab She held up her hand to stop him from speaking, "Before you go off, just remember one, I have a hell of a right hook; two that, I too have priorities as do some of our packmates and three do you really think I'd be here if I hadn't finished up my chore and didn't have faith that the rest would too?" This was not how she wanted to start her evening but she was not going to let Samuel get under skin.
