okay so continuing with that whole TRAPPED feeling thing what about a ghost that haunts a house? which was a great job in the beginning but not so much anymore bc a) he's tired of this house and never being able to leave it and watching the world change around him outside, and/or b) bc everyone knows the house is haunted and so no one lives there anymore so not only is he lonely enough as it is bc of reason a but also bc there isn't even anyone in the house he can play with or whatever. so basically his job has become really dull and well, lonely. but there's nothing he can do about it.
so idea one is that maybe there is this kid that passes the house all the time on their way to school/coming back late from their crappy job at the convenience store and one day while passing it he is positive he sees someone staring out the window. and that totally creeps him out bc he knows about the rumors so he runs and tries to forget about it. but then afterwards he convinces himself that he was just tired and his mind was playing tricks on him so whatever. except it isn't the last time that he sees that face. a couple of weeks later or something maybe he gets drunk off his a** and is walking home bc DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE and he sees the face again except he is too drunk to be scared and instead maybe he is intrigued by it bc HEY THE RUMORS ARE TRUE or HEY THAT GUY LOOKS REALLY SAD I'M GOING TO GO CHEER HIM UP so he goes into the house and blah. idk maybe the ghost isn't there anymore and it seems like just an ordinary house and wow i am feeling so lazy right now so much that i don't even want to continue writing but ugh okay so maybe the ghost isn't there anymore and so instead of leaving well enough alone the guy continues to go back to the house continually but NOTHING HAPPENS. but for whatever reason the dude now can't get this thing out of his head and since then he's been a little more SENSITIVE to supernatural s**t and bc of that he eventually became a PI bc he had to figure out some way to deal with it. but yeah ten or HOWEVER MANY YEARS LATER he's sort of forgotten about that lonely ghost and he's moved away from that town but one day his mother calls him back bc idk daddy is sick or something and while he's staying there he decides to walk down nostalgia lane and walks down that same path he always used to take and HE SEES LONELY GHOST AGAIN. and this time when he walks into the house to see if the guy is actually there the ghost is and he's standing there smiling at him like he's a long lost friend even though they never really communicated bc the ghost constantly disappeared all the time or so he thought but now the ghost is all "you sure grew up didn't you" AND BAM IDK ******** LOL.
or maybe something does happen and instead of the ghost not being there that first time he is there and the two form a sort of friendship and idk s**t just happens?
