OO1. X ▬ ♔ x ) x kai's parents were originally arranged to get married to merge hwan enterprises with their rival company nam international industries. his father being second son wasn't going to inherit the family company and his mother being a only child was't going to inherit due to being female. how ever his mother and father ran off at different times to europe and ended up meeting and falling in love over their mutual love for cars.to their surprise they were weren't expecting to marry the other or even meet. needless to say the merger fell through and the two companies operate on their own. each having a nam brother running it. hwan enterprises however focuses mostly on cars and sea fairing machines.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x through elementary and middle school kai travelled a fair bit between south korea and europe; staying with his mother as new cars were created and tested. he also liked learning a lot about the different cultures as well. of course his parents wouldn't have him not learning and got him a tutor who travelled with them and to kai became a part of his family. with having a tutor kai was able to learn at his own speed and went through his school work faster than a normal child. however this was mostly because he thought the quicker he finished the fast he could go check out the cars.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x as his family is involved with automobiles from both their own company and owning large shares multiple other car companies it was obvious that kai would learn to drive at an age much younger than most of his colleges. having his first mass growth spurt at age thirteen he learnt to drive at the company's race course. this was of course part of his training to take over the family company. he was required to know how a car worked and how it was put together down to the last bolt. the same went for everything the company created. he ate the information up quickly and was recommending things to make the designs look more appealing and work more efficiently.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x contrary to popular belief or him crashing a prototype car kai actually came back to america by an invitation from his uncle. the company had a competition looking for new designers for a car line they were planning on releasing and kai entered a blue print for the car along with the design and ended up winning. the car didn't go into production yet as it was too much of a luxury car; but his uncle was impressed by his skills and offered to let him stay with his family for the rest of his schooling. as kai was taught family was everything he jumped at the chance only to move into his own place less than a week later. he couldn't deal with his aunt's and aria's behaviour.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x although he moved around a lot with his parents, they enforced the belief that family is everything to him. even though they went against their own parents kai's parents came to the belief that their parents were right. he would often visit his grandparents in south korea and spend a lot of time with them and over the holidays spend small amounts of time with aria's family. kai is particularly close with his paternal grandparents. his doll was originally a gift from their grandparents for aria that got turned down at the sound of the word doll, but kai took it and he treasures it dearly.

ADDITIONAL X ▬ ♔ x ) x when kai moved out of his uncle's house and into the house he used to live in at westchester his parents sent his tutor samuel to keep an eye on him and keep him company. sam as kai calls him has been kai's tutor since he started to surpass the learning he was required and expected to do. kaiser thinks sam should settle down and stop following him around like he has for the last ten years.

ARIANNA NAM✩ 」 xx yes this person who constantly insult him is his cousin. does it upset kai that she does this? yes it does. unlike his cousin kai actually cares for her and hopes she does well in life no matter how small minded and materialistic she seems to be.

JAMES FUNK✩ 」 xx although they seem polar opposites at times and his cousin's clear disapproval of james; kai and jaime are quite good friends. kai would even say that jaime was his best friend. kai enjoys their lunches where they talk about what they see around them, their adventures together and how jaime expresses himself through his art even if he is rather lazy. a plus of being friends with jaime is the tea that his brother sends. kai normally ends up with it; although he does wonder why jaime doesn't just tell his brother he's not that big a fan of tea.
