"Once more."
The female's voice broke the silence, her words causing her Pokemon to suddenly lunge at her, fangs and claws bared in a threatening sense. With rapier in her left hand, she heavily exhaled, kicking off of the ground in a backwards direction from the impending duo's attack. She had denied herself to counter attack, leaving her in merely an evasive state of mind when training with her Pokemon. "Gon!" An upward thrust of the creature's tail took the woman slightly off guard, unsuspecting of the tail thrust from her partner. Having been taken off guard, the woman quickly guarded with her rapier, listening to the metal sing as the rough skin of the Pokemon came in contact, visibly bending the blade of the weapon. She smiled, glad to see her partner not holding back during this training match.
As her mind went elsewhere, she temporarily lost balance and a bit of strength. Footing abandoned, her mind quickly returned to her body falling, the Flygon pushing her down quicker than gravity would allow. Landing on the hard earth, she felt the air leave her lungs, a loud gasp leaving her form. The Flygon quickly backed off, allowing his master some breathing room, peering over her with worried eyes, gently rapping his claws together. "Flygon... Fly..." His voice was apologetic, knowing he had used a bit too much force and caused his partner to be on her back with the wind knocked out of her. Archeops soon joined across the Flygon, looking down on his beloved friend. Tilting his head, he reached out with a claw and gently poked her arm. "Arrr. Archeops?"
Taking small breaths as she leveled her mind, she managed a smile to her partners, reassuring them with silent words that she was perfectly fine. Both letting out a breath of relief, they nodded, offering her help to stand up once she was ready to make a decision on the training session. Taking both their claws, she smiled warmly to them, "Thank you. I think we'll call it for the moment. Let me fully recover. There's a bit of pain in my back." She watched as the Flygon lowered his head in shame, which she promptly lifted high into the air, chuckling. "Do not worry, Borlias. I know you were merely doing as I had instructed. And you did very well, I was not expecting you to use your tail." She criticized, obviously happy with her partner's performance.
Nodding as he accepted her statements, Borlias seemed more cheerful, albeit having knocked the wind out of his dear Paladin. Raising her to her feet, the two stepped back, knowing that they would be free to wander around Lurra while their partner took a small break from training in order to recuperate from the fall. Dismissing the two, she watched as they flew off, pondering on where they spent their free time until she needed them once again. As long as they were not causing trouble, it was perfectly fine to her where ever they went.
Sheathing her rapier, she turned and hurried back into the Palace, wanting to check on things while Dimitar was gone on business. "I wonder when that man will get back. Hopefully not too long... Those advisers are definitely enjoying their time playing with his throne." Her nose wrinkled in disgust at the thought of the corrupted geezers having their fun while Dimitar was out on important business. Why, if she could step up and cut their grubby little hands off - heavily sighing, she ceased those thoughts before it got a bit too violent.
"Miss Amaryllis! Would you mind running to the medicinal shop and fetching some more -"
A hand was raised as a smile formed on her lips, it was sincere and so full of kindness. "Judith. What have I told you? No need for formalities. Please call me Ama, and I would be happy to fetch the needed medicine." The look of utter joy on Judith's face filled Amaryllis' heart with happiness, knowing that she could help with smaller things since she was currently enjoying some free time. Aside from training and, occasionally, drinking, Amaryllis was often helping the people around the Palace, knowing it was difficult for them to run errands with thousands of other tasks to handle. Judith handed a slip of paper to the Paladin, watching as she departed to the city itself on a small journey to retrieve the medicine.

- She could tell by his body language and his how unsure he was about his feelings. These were some things that women knew. Call it woman's intuition. Reaching out with her left hand, she pressed two fingers to his lips, a grin spreading across her own slowly. "You're becoming too adorable, Wolfie." She whispered quietly, stepping a bit closer to him, her crimson orbs staring into his. Yes. She was sure of it. He definitely had the same feelings as she did, which made her relax some. Her mind ceased it's scattering and slowly formed back into it's usual thought pattern.
"Now, how about we go back and finish getting our base set up, hm? Knowing you share the same feelings is enough for me." She reassured him, her fingers moving away from his lips, her hand returning to her side. They had work to do, and it would not get done with them standing outside the base discussing love topics. Giving Astor a reassuring smile, Ilianna began to walk past him, her temperament much better than it was merely moments ago. In fact, she seemed much more happy, a small swing being put into her step at the knowledge of Astor sharing the same feelings. That should be enough to make anyone's day ten times better.
As Ai watched the two, the fighting type merely nodded, glad that she did not have to intervene in such a critical moment in the two's relationship. Now, to sneak back to the base before her trainer notice's she had been gone. A rather simple task. Using her speed to her advantage, Ai rushed back to the base, to find Roxanna, Willow, and Neil, and tell them the news.
"Mien! Mienshao, mien." She explained, motioning towards the door. Willow barked happily, jumping about, Roxanna merely nodded, continuing to clean with Neil, who showed no reaction. Ai knew he meant well, though he was completing a task that their trainer had entrusted him with. Continuing to discuss the topic with Willow, Ai began to help clean as well, moving boxes so Neil and Roxanna could clean under and behind them. Everything had to be perfectly clean before Ilianna and Astor returned, so they could be even more proud of them.
When the cleaning was finished, Willow wandered off, wanting to find Heart so they could explore the new base and learn the every ins and outs. "Espe?" She called out to her friend, tilting her head as she wondered where the Umbreon ran off to. Tail flicking in curiosity, Willow decided to check with King first, since he often knew where Astor's team went off. She sometimes thought of him as the ring leader of their group, always knowing where everyone was and what they were up to. Approaching the Zoroark, she tilted her head, inquiring about her friend's whereabouts. "Espe, Espeon, Espe? (Do you know where Heart is?)" Her ears flicked some, seeming to stretch her hearing as far as she could to help in the aid of locating her friend.

Upon having returned to Judith with the supplies she was requested to fetch, Amaryllis placed the leather bag in her hands, giving the woman a soft smile, the Paladin watched as she scurried off, heading back to her duties. Now, what was she doing before receiving the small request from Judith? Oh yes. Sparring with her partners. Though, the primary question was, were those two goofs back from having fun or were they still off on their own grand adventure? Humming softly to herself, she wandered about the palace, thinking about what she should do in the mean time until they return.
Her thoughts were halted as soon as her eyes were laid upon the bottle. Alcohol. The one thing that Amaryllis could not restrain herself from indulging in. Now or never! As a grin came to her lips, she hurried over to the bottle, snatching it right up and beginning to head out to the courtyard. Not bothering with a glass, the woman pried the cork from the mouth of the bottle and took a few sips, letting out a satisfied sigh. "Delicious! Hopefully Dimitar gets back after my drunken state is well gone and passed. I don't want to be pawing at his clothes today." A smirk merely graced the woman's lips, laughter soon following as she thought of the various times she had been drunk about the king. Oh, those were fond memories.
Taking a larger swig of the intoxicating elixir, Amaryllis narrowed her eyes at the sudden disappearance of the sun above her head. Looking above her to whatever was blocking out the sunlight, Amaryllis soon raised the bottle as she watched her two partners return. Welcoming them back from their adventure, she gave both of them a pat on the head, mentioning that they would begin training here shortly. Cortez and Borlias both looked to each other, sighing simultaneously at their master's habit. It was going to be another one of those training days. Fun, fun. "Gon, Flygon." Borlias looked down to the woman, watching as she took another large swallow of the alcohol. Perhaps they should try to break her of that habit... one day. Possibly never. "Arrr. Archeops. Arrrr...." Cortez shook his head slightly, trotting off to rest while his master sank into her drunken state. Borlias followed suit, curling up onto the ground and waiting for the session to begin.
Finishing off the bottle, Amayrllis grinned widely, feeling a bit 'off her rocker', one could say. The fact that she was used to drinking the alcohol sold at tavern's, this type definitely put her almost to her 'limit'. "`Ey, you two! It's time to spar!" She called out to her Pokemon, watching as they roused from their relaxation and approached her, knowing the drill. Drawing her rapier, Amaryllis assumed her stance, albeit a bit wobbly, calling out for the training to begin. "Start!" It then turned into a series of, one could say, a drunkard trying to be as graceful as a Swanna walking on ice. She often fell onto her bum, having to roll out of the way of tail attacks, claws, and teeth.
As the three of them sparred, what was going through Amaryllis' head was on a completely different plane than focusing on sparring. She was thinking about Dimitar and how long they have known each other. As much as she hated to admit it, maybe that one night where she blurted out some nonsense about feelings and what-not might, just might, be true. At that thought, she suddenly burst into laughter, falling onto her butt once again. Cortez and Borlias paused, staring at her in utter confusion. What had came over their partner? They looked to each other, questioning if there was something they had done to make her laugh. Or if something was off about their appearance. Alas, nothing was found. Ceasing their attacks, they both stepped to her side, tilting their heads. "Archeops? Arr?" "Flygon?" They both inquired, Cortez reaching down and poking Amayrllis in the side, curious as to her inner thoughts.
Looking up to the two of them, she waved her hand, dismissing her laughter. "I was just thinking about that one night. When I spouted some nonsense about feelings towards Dimitar. The thought occurred to me that possibly there is some truth in that. Then again, it could also be how old I am and the fact that I haven't known love." She stood, wobbled a bit, then fell back down. Giving up on standing, she merely sat there, eyes moving to stare up at the sun as she thought more, not noticing the worried glances her Pokemon were giving each other.
"Then again, my judgement is impaired. So what do I know?" She shrugged, placing a hand on Cortez's shoulder and helping herself up, leaning on him for stability. He stood strong, just like always. Perhaps some water would help her problem. Looking to her Archeops, she gave him that look, which he promptly nodded and began to help her inside and to the kitchen to fetch some water. With a glass in hand, she carefully sipped it down, her mind began to clear, though the lingering effects were still clouding her judgement. That would take a few hours to clear up before she was completely safe. "Thank you, my friend. Go have fun on another one of your adventure's, I'm going to go change into a fresh outfit." Nodding, Cortez trotted off, fetching Borlias before heading off.
Finishing off another glass of water, Amayrllis went off to her room, peeling out of her clothes and armor. "Free for a moment. Now, to get into fresh clothing and polish my armor." Muttering under her breath, she quickly changed into a clean outfit, and began to clean her armor. Once it was nice and clean, she pulled it back on, heading out and deciding to walk about the palace, her mind lost in thought on several topics.

- Just as Ilianna passed through the door of the base, Willow quickly trotted out, hurrying out into the forest. Blinking her crimson eyes, she watched as her Espeon rushed away, curious as to what was wrong. "What in heavens?" She muttered to herself, pausing and watched as the pink Pokemon disappeared into the brush. Merely shrugging it off, she continued into the base, wanting to check up on everything before going to her own team. Merely glancing over how everyone was fairing, things seemed to be in order. Luckily. Sighing softly, she was quite relieved that no one went off on their own tangent, instead they worked diligently for the sake of the mission.
Crimson eyes glancing over to King, she had a slight feeling it was that Zoroark that kept things organized. Softly smiling, she would have to give him a reward later, once she finished seeing how her own family was doing. Just as she was about to head off to find Roxanna, Neil, and Ai, something tugged at her pants, a familiar voice reaching her. "Mien." Looking down to her Mienshao, Ilianna's hand instinctively moved to rest on the fighting type's head, a smile on her lips. "Where is everyone, Ai?" She inquired, merely letting the Mienshao pull her to the location of the rest of her team, with the exception of Willow.
Willow was currently sniffing about for Heart, who's scent was around her current vicinity. "Espe!" The psychic type called out, hoping to call her friend out of the brush and get her away from the flock of angered bird Pokemon. At her calls, the flock turned towards her, their eyes seeming to light up a deadly red at the new trespasser in their territory. Fur standing on end, Willow knew of the disadvantage she had when compared to the Murkrow. Perhaps there could be some peace between them? "Espe, Espeon...?" She meekly offered, tucking her tail between her legs as she began to back up, eyes still looking around for Heart. Calling out once more to her friend, the Espeon's bark seemed more of a whine, pleading her friend to quickly come out of hiding so they can book it back to the base, "Espe... Espeon..."
Ai motioned to Roxanna and Neil, who were currently taking a small, restful nap. Not wanting to wake them, Ilianna patted Ai on the head, telling the Mienshao to take a nap as well, she definitely deserved it. Nodding without any objections, Ai trotted over to the sleeping Walrein and Volcarona, sitting down and leaning against the wall. Watching as her Pokemon's eyes shut, Ilianna went back to Astor, needing to discuss the current situation.
Quickly in her mind, she went over a check list for everything. The base was clean, check. All the equipment was set up and working properly, check. The perimeter was secure, check. She paused, trying to think of anything else that was a definite need-to-know, but nothing crossed her mind. "Hm... That should be it..." Mumbling to herself, she merely nodded and hurried back to Astor, knowing that he needed to know quickly. Once she found her best friend, she tugged on his sleeve, smiling. During her little expedition to find him, she had decided she was going to go to the Darkness Kingdom, since Roxanna would be the perfect Pokemon to have out there. Both a bug and fire type combined, it was picture perfect. "Nexus, everything is in order. The base is clean, the equipment is setup and properly functioning, and the perimeter is secure. We can move onto phase three. And, I've decided to go to the Darkness Kingdom. Roxanna will accompany me there." There was no asking if she could. She was telling him she was going there. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Before Astor could even respond, she gave him a thumbs up, and a smile. "I'm going to tell the group I'm going to head out. I want to get everything going quickly. So I'll keep in contact with the radio. Don't lose your head while I'm gone, Nexus." A grin came to her lips as she turned on her heels and went off, preparing for her long trip ahead of her. But first things were first, to tell the team she was heading out. Going to the main hall, where most of the team was grouped up, she cleared her throat, gaining the attention of everyone. "I'm heading out to the Darkness Kingdom. I will keep in contact by radio. If you have any questions, ask Astor and I'm sure he'll be able to give you all direction."
With that done, she rounded up her team, returning Neil and Ai to their Pokeballs, stuffing the orbs into her bag. Lightly poking Roxanna on her belly, the bug type stirred from her slumber, seeming to almost spring to life from the attention her trainer was giving her. Explaining the situation, Roxanna seemed to reluctantly nod, fluttering up into the air, and out the entrance. Good. She would leave Willow here to help keep Astor's head screwed on straight. Following after Roxanna, Ilianna carefully climbed onto the Pokemon's back and took off towards the Darkness Kingdom, unaware of exactly what she was heading into.
- TIMESKIP -
Landing in the outskirts of the Antalya, Ilianna allowed Roxanna to rest against her head, knowing how tiring it must have been to fly across half a landmass and a body of water. Perhaps she should invest in a flying type Pokemon when they return to their time. As she entered the inner areas of the city, she noted the oddly pale skin of the people. Looking down to her own skin tone, she lightly shrugged, finding herself fitting in. With her almost white complexion, black hair, and crimson red eyes, she found to fit right into her surroundings. A definite positive for her.
Noticing the sudden density of the city focused in one area, Ilianna blinked, unsure of exactly what was going on. The smell of burning flesh entered her nose, a hand quickly being pressed over her nose and mouth. "What's going on? That smell.... It's horrible..." The sounds of a speech - no, a rant, entered her ears at that exact moment. Was this a gathering? For what? Listening, Ilianna felt dumbfounded, completely unsure of what was going on. The people around her were cheering, practically in a riot over - what she thought was - their leader's speech. As the rant ended, festivities began, the woman's crimson eyes scanning over everyone and the events.
Pinching her cheek, she reminded herself this was no time to sight-see. She needed to speak to the Queen and try to win her over to the Team's side. However, where to start? Surely it was not as easy as merely walking to the throne room and speaking with the ruler. Wandering away from the large crowd, Ilianna began to merely look to where the Queen was standing, in front of a glass box with fire raging inside. One could only wonder what had been burned within the confines of the glass panes. She was unaware that she stood out from the rest of them, considering she was not enjoying the food, music and such that was currently going on. That, and the Volcarona that was still lazily perched on her head.

Sighing heavily, Amaryllis was in one of those drunken states. Those moments when her mind would focus too much on thinking that it would deter any other activity of the day. Perhaps it was not a good mindset to be drunk with. She was about to turn and go take a shower to freshen herself, and her mind, up before the King was to return. However, a sudden hand on her shoulder caused Amaryllis' body to tense, a slight sensation of panic overcoming her. Though as Vael spoke, her muscles relaxed, the sense of urgency leaving her, merely being replaced with a calm demeanor. "I'm glad you all made it back safely. As for how things went. Merely training with Cortez and Borlias, as usual." She seemed to pause, thinking a bit about something.
Gently chewing on her lower lip, she sighed heavily, figuring that Vael could smell the alcohol. "And yes, I have been drinking. Though that was quite some time ago. I'm normal, for the most part. Other than being in a very... thinking state of being. Unfortunately." A heavy sigh escaped the woman's lips as she placed her hands on her hips, the thoughts returning at the mere mention of the state she was going through. It was one of these moments that she needed Cortez so she could get it all off her shoulders. Every single thought.
A small idea came across her, perhaps Vael could offer some help with her slight thinking issue. Vael was a woman as well, so she must have some input on such a problem. Pressing her lips together, she debated on it, her head seeming to rock left and right slightly as she pondered. Coming to an answer, Amaryllis merely nodded, speaking up, "Vael, do you ever think about the possibility that you really won't be able to experience a relationship? Or even anything dealing with... love, I guess." One hand moved up to scratch behind her head, feeling a bit awkward. Considering Vael and herself had never really had... girl talk, before now. She ran over her words in her mind, finding them a bit odd and... silly, now that she thought about it. Softly laughing at herself, Amaryllis shook her head and waved her hand dismissively, as if silently telling Vael to just forget the questions.
"Pay no mind to me, it's still the alcohol talking. I will go take a shower to mull over it more and to finally get rid of this remaining stupidity left in my mind. Tell the King that if he needs anything of me, that I will be ready." Amaryllis turned to Vael and smiled, her eyes looking exhausted and a bit weary. She was exhausted from the training with both her partners, the weariness was just the alcohol, or so she hoped. Perhaps her age was beginning to creep up on her.

As the two women parted, Amaryllis could only think of one thing. Vael was going to advise Dimitar to stay away from her until she was no longer inebriated. Rolling her eyes, she thought a few harsh things towards such an act, but quickly dismissed such negative feelings. One could not merely will others to do as one pleased, unless in the sense of a ruler. Cortez soon joined her side, trotting next to the woman as they both seemed to trudge towards Amaryllis' room, Cortez unaware of his partner's current thoughts.
Allowing Cortez first entrance, Amaryllis silently closed the door behind her, hearing that satisfying click sound. Solitude. Letting out a heavy sigh, she quickly unarmored and removed her clothing, not wasting a single moment from entering her room, to the preparing the water. Cortez jumped onto the bed while he waited for her to finish bathing. "Damn woman... I am not in a drunken state. I am well aware of my actions and intentions." Tensing, she forced out a huff and climbed into the water.
Bathing seemed to pass rather quickly, her body and mind feeling refreshed. It was as if she had never drank that bottle of alcohol. She also smelled nice, another plus. Perhaps now she could go see how Dimitar was without being claimed as under the influence. Pulling on a fresh set of clothes and her armor, she quickly strapped the sheath to her rapier onto her waist, sliding the thin bladed weapon into it's rightful place. Then all was right with the world, for the most part. Now if only the Darkness Kingdom would be suddenly wiped off the face of the world, then everything would truly be peaceful. Hopefully. Giving Cortez a knowing glance, the Arcehops returned to her side, trotting out the door and waiting for Amaryllis to take the lead.
"Come Cortez, let's go see how our King is doing today. Other than possibly hiding from me..." Nodding in agreement, the First Bird Pokemon hurried to catch up to Amaryllis' side, occasionally looking up to the woman, who seemed to be slightly tense about whatever Vael had reported as the Paladin's current state of being. A hand came to rest on Cortez's head, more to calm the woman than the Pokemon. "Arrr." A soft purr seemed to resound from his throat, his tail swishing about more than usual, showing his happiness. Hearing the state of content of her friend, her mind was put at ease, her muscles relaxing as she neared the King's throne room. Her ears picked up the sound of conversation, the voices belonging to Vale and Dimitar.
Coming in at the end of the conversation, Amaryllis only caught the parts pertaining to giving the people a speech of sorts. Though, at hearing how... reluctant, Dimitar's tone was, a frown settled onto her lips. Amaryllis often thought - neigh, believed Dimitar was the strongest person she knew. In both battle, and when it came to ruling a kingdom. By Arceus, she even believed that he could do anything he was put to the task to. And she would not let him think otherwise.
Until he finished speaking, she had remained around the corner, waiting for the correct moment to enter. She felt now was the perfect time. Stepping around the corner, the sound of her boots hitting the floor could be heard mixed with Cortez's light thuds from his steps. "My King, must I tell you that you can do anything? Even when it comes to things such as emotions, you are capable of anything that you set your mind to." Her frown disappeared from her lips, being replaced by a confident smile. One hand moved to rest on her hip, the other remaining by her side. Cortez could be seen nodding next to her, also having always thought quite highly of Dimitar. Even Borlias did, and if he would have been here, he would be nodding as well.
"Sometimes, a speech, even if it is short, is enough to the people to show that you care. After all, I know you care about this Kingdom, albeit your job. As I, Vael, our friends," She motioned to all the Pokemon currently in the room, "And the entire kingdom cares about you and where we live. And Dimitar, you should remember that I strongly believe in my beliefs. Even the ones that come to you being capable of doing anything you put your mind to." She gave him that 'You know I'm right' grin, the one that she would hardly pull out unless trying to convince him that he could do something.

- The sudden appearance of the girl alerted Ilianna that she was, surprisingly, quick to be noticed. Did she really stick out that much? Her eyes looked over her clothes for a split second before her attention was brought to Noemi, who promptly began to compliment her. Mind jumbled with confusion, she tried to sort through the various things this woman was saying and doing. As her hand was taken and placed on the girl's cheek, Ilianna did her best to keep from jerking her hand away. Best not to be mean to a potential ally.
Different? Her clothes possibly? Her strange disposition to stay out of the festivities and merriment? No, something that this girl could see about her, that Ilianna was oblivious to. She seemed stunned, her voice having fled to some far off land, leaving her speechless at the sudden interaction. Swallowing the lump in her throat, Ilianna forced her voice back to where it rightfully belonged, staring down at the girl in confusion as she finally answered the inquiry of what her name was. "I-Ilianna James Vess. And th-thank you for the compliments."
She was trembling. Both her voice and her body. Something about this girl just gave her the creeps. Maybe the Darkness Kingdom was not the best choice. Some foul work was at play here, whatever it was, Ilianna was about to get right in the middle of everything. Sensing her trainer's sudden fear, Roxanna gently cooed, looking to the new face of Noemi. "Rona? Vol..." The Volcarona could sense the strange vibe being emitted from this woman, her wings idly flapping, lessening the weight on her trainer's head.
When Noemi mentioned about taking her to the Queen, Ilianna inwardly flinched, unsure of how the Queen was compared to this girl. Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself. Now would not be the best time to be having regrets now. For Nexus' dream to come true, she had to do this. That one thought gave her enough of a resolve to nod at the mention of seeing the Queen. "If you see it fit, then I will not argue." Her body ceased trembling, her voice sounding more calm now. It was such a turn around compared to when she introduced herself and thanked Noemi for the compliments. Almost as if a whole new woman was there. Roxanna looked down to her trainer, feeling the confidence and determination from her. If she was alright, then the Fire and Bug type would be relaxed as well. However, at the first sign of danger, Roxanna would act and rescue her trainer.
"You lead and I will follow, ma'am." She gave Noemi a smile, putting her faith in whatever god was leading her that she would be safe.

- As the day went on, Mai did her best to stay in the throne and working on her duties as the Empress. Luckily, she had Xen to keep her entertained, so she could focus on her responsibilities. When Nesso entered the throne room, Mai was currently dealing with one of the many officials, listening to him go on about the trade routes and the income that was occurring in the Kingdom. Yes, yes, that was all fine and dandy, as long as there was no problems she did not pay much attention to him, merely listening with some disinterest as the man went on and on. Noticing Nesso walking up the carpet leading to her throne, she shooed away the man, watching him out of her peripherals. He bowed and quickly scampered off to who knows where.
Heavily sighing, Mai slumped some, a small hand coming to rub the sleep from her eye. Straightening up when Nesso knelt before her, watching as he bowed his head and gave a greeting. Motioning for him to rise, she smiled happily, glad to see her Paladin today. "Nesso, how many times have I told you to just call me Mai. We're all equal in my eyes. Me and the people of the kingdom. The only thing making us different is our titles." She saw the look on Kale's face when she mentioned it, the frown that soured his adorable face. Sharply turning her head to him, she shot him the 'Get over it' glare, then returned to looking at Nesso. Having seen Kale flinch, a childish grin spread across her lips at the sight.
Xen looked down to Nesso and merely waved in greeting, his usual happy demeanor filling the room. It infected Mai with no problem, the two's mood always seeming to mirror how the other was feeling. "Nite, Dragonite." He cooed softly as Mai reached out to grab one of his claws.
"I'm holding up fine... Other than dealing with the officials, as usual. How are you, Nesso?" She asked him with shining eyes. To her, he was a very special person, considering he was not an adviser like Kale was - or should she say, a baby sitter.
Speaking of Kale, he straightened up, clearing his throat and looking at Nesso, a smug grin on his face. Oh yes, he still remembered being picked over him when the previous Queen chose her Paladin. A lingering sense of rivalry, one could say. "Nesso, have you been keeping your skills sharp?" He inquired, crossing his arms behind his back as his eyes were soon resting on the Paladin's weapon. The want to be able to use a sword once again invaded his mind, causing him to shift unhappily. Removing his glasses, he peered out the large pane glass windows, thinking back to his time wielding his sword. Heavily sighing, he felt Julius' thoughts enter his mind, as if reminding him not to go off into a day dream. After all, he had to set a good example.
A moment later, a soft purring came from next to Nesso, along with the feeling of a small body rubbing against his leg. The pink furred Pokemon looked up to the Paladin, softly whining at the lack of attention he had received all day due to Mai's busy schedule. "Espeon!" The male called out, commanding the Paladin to give him some form of rub, whether behind the ears, a mere pat on the head or a simple stroke down his back. Anything at this point would suffice! At the sound of Esper, Lily lifted her head from her resting spot beside the throne, eying the Espeon with slight dislike. The thing was always a pest, always wanting someone to pet him. Huffing quietly, Lily laid her head back down, tail lightly thumping against the tiled floor as she fell back to her cat nap.

The clashing of metal against metal. The roars of man and Pokemon. The smell of blood coating the battlefield, tainting the ground with it's crimson hue. Enemies and friends both fell, the cries of the woman's comrades invaded her mind.
Death.
The thought shook her to the very core, her muscles quivering in both terror and anger. Freezing, Amaryllis merely stared ahead, beginning to breath heavily. If she stayed here much longer, she would surely spiral into a state of insanity - and possibly get lost in the madness of the battlefield as well. With a racing heart, she snapped herself out of her state of terror, her mind pulling out of the spiral of madness. As she regained her thoughts, she narrowly avoided a large greatsword, feeling the earth tremble as it clashed with the ground. Cyan eyes locking onto the male wielding the weapon, she watched as a maddened grin spread across his maw, a sadistic chuckle escaping his hulking form. Forcing herself to swallow the lump in her throat, she focused on the new opponent, another Darkness rat to think they could take on the Earth Kingdom's Paladin.
Her fingers seemed to instinctively tighten around the hilt of her rapier, her mind seeming to turn down the volume entering her ears, her pulse now pounding in her ears. Her body was sent into overdrive, her muscles tightening, then relaxing, adrenaline coursing through the woman's veins. 'Remember Amaryllis, you are not alone. Cortez, Borlias, Vael, and the other soldiers are here. With you. So just' "FIGHT!" She roared, eyes watching as the behemoth before her lifted the bulky sword with just one arm, his strength surprising her. Through her surprise, her focus stayed strong, her legs preparing for the vertical slash that was about to occur.
Watching the blade, Amaryllis side stepped the sword, allowing it to crash into the ground with such a force it caused the earth to tremble under this man's power. The force of the impact lodged the sword into a rather sturdy rock, the man's grunts and groans entering Amaryllis' ears as he tried to pry the weapon free. As vulnerable as he was, it was not the time to strike. Not while that man had one free hand.
A loud screech soon descended upon the two, claws ripping into the man's face. Screams of agony burst from his gaping maw, blood spewing from his now wounded - and useless - left eye. Grinding his teeth together, his hand covered the wound, the mere air causing such an intense level of pain it was almost unbearable. As the man recoiled from the vicious attack from her feathered friend, Amaryllis suddenly thrust her body and rapier forward at an alarmingly fast pace. Due to the fact that she used merely a rapier - and on rare cases, her dagger stowed away in her right boot - she relied on parry and evasion. The latter of the two she was incredibly gifted with.
Puncturing the skin, the cold metal cut through the man's innards like a hot knife through butter. The spine was soon forced apart, two vertebra's being painfully torn apart, never to be repaired again. Surely, if this man escaped with his life, he would never set foot on the battlefield again. The sound of air escaping his lungs, the splatter of blood onto Amaryllis' face, and the sudden pop of her rapier exiting the other side of the man.
She licked her lips, the madness returning to her.
Cold, cyan eyes looked up at the man's face, the look of twisted pain and terror in full bloom. A small voice inside her mind cried out, begging to see and hear more.
And she would deliver.
Pulling her rapier back through his insides, she watched as the pain twisted into utter torture, the giddiness she felt from such a small change was... delicious. Pushing her weapon's hilt toward the ground, she could feel the resistance as the metal cut through his insides, her eyes intently watching his face. The look sent chills up her spine, visibly quivering from the excitement she was experiencing. Now, for the grand finish! Pushing her sword up through his chest cavity, she made sure to carefully align the tip of her rapier to pierce his heart. More blood bubbled from his mouth, gurgling sounds entering her ears as she laughed. The laughing soon turned to cackling, gaining several looks from her allies, some watching in horror as she tortured the man on the battlefield.
While all this was going on, the enemy forces had began to retreat, the two warring Kingdoms withdrawing to regroup. Alas, Amaryllis was too caught up in the madness to even notice such petty little things.
Her eyes seemed to take on the psychopath's glossy shine, a wide smile spreading across her lips as the man began to scream out, his final, dying cries. Oh, how delectable they were. Licking her lips once more, she gave the rapier one final push, the tip breaking through the top of his heart and puncturing his trachea, the gurgling sound becoming more dominant in her mind. "Your death was most delicious~. Now, enjoy your eternal damnation~!" She seemed to scream, cackling as she viciously pulled her rapier from his body, planting her boot firmly on the man's chest and then pushing forward. His body crumpled on the dirt, blood pooling under him in little to no time.
Two shadows circled overhead, the two Pokemon exchanging worried glances as they watched their partner lose it to the madness of the Darkness Kingdom. Perhaps if they were lucky enough, she would return to her true self, and step away from such insanity. The only thing they could currently do was wait and pray to Arceus their friend was returned to them. Silence seemed to sweep over the battlefield as all eyes seemed to remain on Amaryllis, tension filling the air quickly with anticipation of her next actions.
Sheathing her rapier, Amaryllis straightened her posture, her cackling having quieted down for the time being. The shuffling of feet echoed across the bloodied land, knights, archers and other men and women staring in slight fear of this new side of their beloved Paladin. Raising her head, her facial expression seemed much calmed, albeit the blood splattered across her face. Cyan eyes looking at the, easily, hundred pairs of eyes on her, she merely scowled, a hand being placed on her hip. "What are you all staring at? Why aren't you getting the injured back to Lurra?" She quip, looking up to the sky for her faithful companions.
Motioning with one hand for Borlias to come down and allow her to ride on his back, her eyes returned to the barren wasteland of dead bodies. Fear was evident in her eyes, her entire aura trembling in fear over this new side that had awoken inside her. Whatever it was, she could not let it get out of hand. No matter the cost.
As the Flygon landed in front of her, she carefully climbed onto his back, gently patting his neck, signaling it was safe for him to fly back to Lurra. Taking off, the two zipped off, Cortez staying right at their back the whole way.
- Her fear was... beautiful? There mere statement brought alarm back to her, Ilianna's insecurity of her safety definitely coming to the front of her mind now. She had done research on this kingdom, having heard about their brutality and burning hatred for the Earth Kingdom. But, she had never really studied intensively about these people. Or rather, she only read about the history of the previous rulers and the current ruler, not of the other key spots of this land. Maybe she would learn her lesson and read about everything.
As Noemi motioned to the glass box, Ilianna gulped, hoping she would not be used a fuel. "I will be most respectful of your Queen, you can be sure of that." She said this to merely reassure herself, allowing the girl to lead her to the throne room. Her eyes looked over everything, aside from the fear she was getting from the words the girl spoke, the palace was very beautiful, giving her a small reminder of the Cipher base she had spent so many years in. "The palace is absolutely beautiful, Miss." Ilianna spoke in awe, her eyes soon focusing on the large door in front of them.
Perhaps the Queen was much more... stable, than this girl. Thinking of Noemi, she had yet to learn the girl's name, though it was not that important, considering they were about to meet the Queen. Gulping, Ilianna sighed, calming her suddenly frayed nerves. She knew that if she messed this up, then her life was definitely on the line, something she was quite fretting over.
Roxanna gently cooed, her wings fluttering a bit faster at this point, staring at the blonde female leading her trainer. There was much doubt in the Volcarona's mind that Ilianna would be able to make it out safely by herself. "Vol..." Lifting off the woman's head, Roxanna began to flutter next to the two girls, looking about the palace as well.

- Kale scowled at the boy, crossing his arms with a huff. "I find that it is better on behalf of Mai if I were to work as her adviser. And if I remember correctly, I was chosen by the previous Queen herself. I think that's enough of a bragging right." A small grin spread across the man's face as he remembered how the Queen had come to his home to elect him as the new Paladin, a rare occasion in itself. Mai looked between the two with a rather dry expression, inwardly she was upset.
Clearing her throat, she eyed Kale, the one who started this little session. Looking to her, he gave the young Empress a meek smile, knowing he was definitely going to be in for it later. Maybe she would go easy this time? He hoped so. Her eyes shifted to Nesso, as if scolding him for falling for such a taunt from Kale. When she was done dishing out minor punishment to the two of them, Kale's going to come later, she sighed, slouching in her throne again.
"Once all of this is done, I'm going to the Sea Kingdom for the celebration. Do you want to come along?" Mai's eyes moved to Xen, who was staring off into space once again. She would let him have his day dream this time. Just this one time. Kale stiffened, looking to Mai as if she had spouted some unbelievable nonsense. "Empress, are you sure you want Nesso to join you? What if there's an atta-" He was cut off by Mai's hand being held up to him, his mouth quickly shutting at her interruption. Her eyes were soon on him, seeming to drill into his very core. "Yes, I am sure. We have not been attacked in two years. The gods have been kind enough to protect our home from invasions. Don't make me order you to stay here." She threatened. If Kale had a tail, it would be tucked between his legs right away, merely nodding as she huffed and turned back to face Nesso, a smile returning to her lips.
Even for a child, Mai could become quite the devil if she was angered by something. Deep down she was far more mature than she let on, of course, no one would ever see such maturity. At least, not until the correct age.

Lurra, ready to depart / Angered, Tense / Dimitar and Vael / Cortez and Borlias
[ I N D E N T ]With a smile, Amaryllis merely chuckled, "But of course, my King." She meekly replied, quieting as he thanked them. There was no need for thanking either of them, sometimes his adviser's were not very keen to what was needed and what was not. Her thoughts returned to a possibility if she were allowed to do as she wished with the advisers. Her smile stretched into a devious grin, oh the hell she would put them through.
[ I N D E N T ]Sudden movement from Vael caused Amaryllis' reverie to be snatched from her, a small amount of alarm coming to the woman's face, her muscles tensing as her head jerked in the archer's direction as she bowed and made her leave. Curious. Why would she abruptly leave? Unless it was the paladin herself who had upset her in some way? Perhaps. She would have to speak with the archer later, stowing the curiosity away into the back of her mind. As Dimitar commented on Vael's strange behavior, the paladin could only nod in agreement with a small, "Aye." in addition.
[ I N D E N T ]At the question of how she was feeling, and the emphasis on strange, she quickly shot him a glare, brows furrowing in slight annoyance. Luckily, she could not bop him on the head once for that comment. Oh, the pros to being a king, safety from Amaryllis' hits. Eyes closing, a sigh was exhaled from her lips, calming her mind and holding back the urge to smack the man. "I am doing much better after bathing. And if Vael told you I had been drinking, the woman spoke the truth. By the time you had send you to find me, I was sobering up. Albeit, I'm still mulling over a few things that hit me while inebriated." She mumbled the last sentence, eyes wandering away from Dimitar, lips pressing into a fine line as she began to mull over those thoughts once again.
[ I N D E N T ]The sudden feeling of his fingers moving her hair behind her ears caused her entire body to still, the sound of her heart beating resounding in her ears. Cheeks tinting a pink color, Amaryllis gulped, blue eyes looking to her friend's face. Clearing her throat, she looked away again, avoiding his face and his gaze, refraining from speaking her mind about his advisers. "Surprisingly enough, they behaved themselves while you were away. It would be best to catch up with them, my King." She fidgeted some, calming herself before looking back to him.
[ I N D E N T ]Just as she was about to open her mouth to speak again, Vael returned with Ookami by her side. That was Terra's companion. They were often always seen together. Perhaps the guardian was here, but elsewhere in the castle? No, that would not explain the Lucario's ruffled fur and the exhausted look in his eyes. Alarm settled into her body once again, her eyes watching the paper and Dimitar opened the first letter, eyes widening as she realized exactly where the guardian was going. A sense of urgency filled the air, Amaryllis looking down to Cortez, uttering to him to find Borlias and make sure he was ready for departure. Even if the King gave them orders to not leave, she would go anyway.
[ I N D E N T ]As the First Bird Pokemon scurried off to fetch the Flygon, Dimitar began to read the second letter, delivered by that witch's bird, aloud. It's contents sending Amaryllis into a sudden angered frenzy. Fists clenching, she grinded her teeth together, feeling a slight tugging at her leggings. Eyes looking to her Archeops, she nodded, understanding that Borlias was circling above, waiting for the signal. With or without Dimitar, she was going to get the guardian. Not caring if he gave her orders prohibiting her to risking her life on such a task.
[ I N D E N T ]Hearing Dimitar say that the three of them were to go, she merely nodded, quickly making her way to the garden. Once outside, she whistled loudly, Borlias swooping down only for a second. Within that second, Amaryllis was already on his back and high in the air, calling down to Dimitar and Vael. "I am going ahead. If I can manage to catch up to him, then I will deter him from going any further!" Her voice was full of rage and annoyance. Why would such a fool make a bold move such as going to the kingdom all by ones self? And to the Darkness Kingdom! Of all places, anyone who ventured there was doomed to die. No matter the person. Even Amaryllis would never consider going there alone to confront whoever she would. It was like sentencing ones self to death.
[ I N D E N T ]Not waiting for a reply from Dimitar or Vael, she lightly kicked Borlias' sides, the Pokemon suddenly taking off, quickly reaching his maximum speed. Amaryllis was staying close to her partner's body, so she would not lag the Pokemon's speed much lower than what she already was.

- A soft voice echoed in Kale's mind, Julius once again. 'A Darkness Kingdom intruder is currently being chased down through the sky. Shall I subdue him?' The psychic's curiosity was evident in his telepathic link, causing Kale to furrow his brow. Darkness? In the Sky? Humming to himself, he crossed his arms, giving his partner exactly what he wanted to hear. 'Subdue him and bring him to the castle. Do not let them escape, Julius.' 'Of course, Sire.' With that, the telepathic link was severed, Kale coming back down to earth. He came back just in time for Ellias to enter the room, nodding to the Knight's entrance.
Xen blinked as Ellias greeting everyone, waving as a greeting to the Knight. Mai was about to correct the knight about calling her Queen when he said that he would like to go to the Sea kingdom as well. "Um... I guess?" She was a bit confused, unsure of how many people really needed to go with her to the Sea Kingdom. Still rather confused, Mai nodded at Nesso's statement that he was ready. Looking to Kale, Mai gave him a rather confused look, as if asking him what she should do. With the feeling of being stared at, Kale turned his head towards the Empress, blinking in utter confusion, though quickly cleared his throat.
"You go ahead and go to the Sea Kingdom. I'm going to stay here. Julius informed me of some... curious visitors. I will tend to them while you are away." He reassured her, motioning to Xen to take her to the carriage. The dragon type nodded and picked up the fourteen year old with both arms, keeping a firm grip on her. "Dragonite! Nite." He nodded for both Nesso and Ellias to follow as well, knowing they would need to get ready as well. Kale waved them farewell, contacting Julius once again, who responded that he had captured the visitor and was currently bringing them into the throne room. Nodding, Kale awaited the visitors, watching as the Charizard and the boy on the Pokemon's back was sat down on the cool marble of the throne room, clearing his throat and smiling to the two. "Well now. Do you mind speaking where you hail from, kind sir?" Force would not be needed for this, since force really never got one anywhere.
Mai was soon loaded into the carriage, Lily joining in on this trip. "Well, Lily. It's going to be a long journey..." Mai muttered, petting the Persian's head with a delicate hand. A soft purr came from the throat of the feline, showing her happiness from the small amount of attention. Peeking her head out of the small window, Mai called out to Nesso and Ellias, "If I'm asleep when we get there, have Lily wake me up!" And with that, they were on their way to the Sea Kingdom for the festivities.

Lurra border (war zone) / Angered / Terra, Momo / Cortez and Borlias
[ I N D E N T ]The flight there was fast, but not short. Borlias never slowed, knowing the urgency of reaching Terra before anything horrible happened to the Guardian. She had been authorized to use force, and even if she did not need to, she would in the end. 'That boy will have an earful when I reach him. I swear it.' She growled, feeling Borlias beginning to descend, his speed increasing drastically. They were close. Peeking down at the ground, Amaryllis saw the ants patrolling the border, no doubt one of them were Momo. If anyone knew anything about people crossing the border, it would be her.
[ I N D E N T ]The ground was suddenly close. Too close. Before they crashed, Borlias pulled up, putting his feet out as the wind whipped about the two, Amaryllis grabbing onto her rapier to keep it from flying from it's sheath. Once a safe distance from the earth, the paladin jumped from the back of the Desert Spirit, dirt whipping as he flapped his diamond-shaped his wings, ascending into the air once again. With a rather rough landing, Amaryllis huffed out a pained breath, her ankles beginning to throb. She could not stop now! "Momo! Momo!" Her voice echoed across the border, the knights seeming to point in the direction the woman had went off in.
[ I N D E N T ]Hurrying towards Momo and Terra, Amaryllis sighed in relief. She had made it in time. Now, to drag the boy back to Lurra and give him a good scolding. "Terra! How dare you!" She yelled, soon stopping at the two, panting softly, her expression a mixture of pain and anger. Grabbing onto Terra's arm, Amaryllis scowled at the boy, her bright cyan eyes staring at him with a harsh anger. Her grip was tight, showing no signs of letting go of his arm. He was staying here.
[ I N D E N T ]Looking to Momo, her eyes softened, a smile coming to the woman's lips. "Good day, Momo. I'm glad you stopped Terra before he did something regretfully stupid." She then turned back to the Aura Guardian, her eyes turning cold and a scowl coming to her lips once again. Amaryllis huffed out, alerting everyone that the king was on his way, "The King will be here any moment to bring you back to Lurra." A few seconds later, the scowl faded into a frown, realizing just how special the Aura Guardian was.
[ I N D E N T ]"I'm unsure if Momo has already told you this, but. You are not expendable. When compared to a Paladin, Knights', Archers, we are all able to be replaced. Aura Guardians are rare as it is. You cannot throw your life away, you idiot." She quietly thought something else, knowing not everyone was truly expendable. In a sense of military, every place was truly expendable. All it took was training.
