Lilith nodded slightly as he spoke in regards to what she said about her drink not being for everyone, “That it is.” She murmured in reply. She was starting to get tired of this beating around the bush thing, if he wasn’t going to give her any kind of information then why was she even wasting her time? She took a deep breath before letting it slowly out to calm her quickly rising temper. He was a new informant and surely he was just trying to get to know her so that he could give her the information when he trusted her. She would just have to play along with this little game of his. He asked if she liked her job and she smiled while looking over at him curiously. “I do enjoy my job. I’m in a manager position so I oversee my employee’s and make sure that the business runs smoothly.” It wasn’t exactly a lie. You didn’t talk about nefarious jobs such as hers willy-nilly and out in the open. For all he and everyone else she did just what she said but it was vague enough information that they would never find out the truth.

He was soon saying that he would enjoy going to the theme park with someone if she didn’t mind going along with him but that if she didn’t then he didn’t mind going by himself. The last thing she wanted to do was actually go but for the sake of getting the information it was best to form some kind of a bond quickly so that he would hopefully share the information he was withholding. He answered her back and she nodded her head while getting out her phone, she pretended like she was looking through her calendar for the sake of keeping up appearances. While she was at it she went the extra mile to see when the theme park would be opened anyways, it was open today she found before closing her phone and setting it in her pocket once more. She turned her full attention to him once more as he answered her previous question about what he had been up to lately, she nodded as he told her that he had been working and that he worked at an animal shelter. “Fascinating. Then I suppose you like animals?” She questioned curiously. She had no thoughts on them one way or the other and had never had one nor had the urge to get one.

He turned his attention back to her as she leaned over the table slightly and she smiled at him as he answered her question before asking her what her plans were. “It turns out that you are in luck. I have the rest of the day free and while I was checking I looked to see if the theme park was open today, and it is. Shall we go there today?” She asked him and hoped that she could get this over with, frivolous and packed places like these were boring to her and most of all she disliked being surrounded by people. All for the sake of her job, she needed new leads on where fairies might be and if she was lucky maybe while they were out and about she would recognize the energy signature of one in the meantime. She finished the last of her drink as she sat back in her chair before standing up, she threw the trash away before joining him again. She assumed that going today would be fine since he had previously said that he didn’t have any plans for the rest of the day and so once he was ready they left the shop together.

Luna thought Seth’s reply to her question was a little strange because of course it mattered, if it didn’t why was he even here at all? He shrugged after she spoke about her sister, did he truly not care as much as it seemed or was he just putting on a front? Luna couldn’t tell as he spoke about how someone might have hurt her if he hadn’t walked in, she stared at him unbelieving and with a slightly raised eyebrow in mute disbelief. She was very capable of taking care of herself, she trained with Lilith and they both could hold their own in a fight. She supposed however that to other people it might look like they couldn’t since they were the head people and she mostly passed along information. “While I appreciate you looking after me and making sure that I’m okay, it is off putting to know you have just walked into my home.” She answered with a small sigh. “I doubt that she would actually kill you but you don’t want to test her wrath unnecessarily.” Luna had no doubt that Lilith would do all the killing herself if she had no other choice and Luna also knew that Lilith would take pleasure in doing so.

“Why would I know when she’s coming back? We have our separate schedules and I don’t need to keep an eye on her. What she does on her own time is her business, if you are in a rush however I could text her and let her know that you are here at the house waiting to speak with her so that she knows to come back as soon as she can.” Luna offered as she pulled him into her room. For someone who seemed to be waiting for something he didn’t actually have a lot of answers to her questions which was only making her more curious and a little suspicious of his real reasons for being here. As he told her thank you while sitting down in the chair she nodded as she sat on the edge of her bed when he then spoke of the flowers and she looked at them. Was it that strange to have kept them? “They are beautiful flowers and it felt like a waste to just throw them away. Plus they bring some color and liveliness into my room.” Luna answered with her own little shrug, she just thought they were pretty and decided to keep them there was no other reasoning other than that.

As Seth suggested hanging out outside of work she looked at him curiously, was this some kind of date? Was that why he had come all the way here? He was soon clarifying that it was as friends just in case another magical being saw them together, knowing more about each other wouldn’t hurt and it would sell the fake dating scheme that they had going. “I suppose that would come in handy should anyone suspect us. I don’t see why we couldn’t. Is that what brought you here? To ask me this?” She asked, smiling and laughing softly. “Do you have any other plans today? Would you like to get started on getting to know each other better now?” She didn’t really know anything about Seth other than he worked with them and was the one who extracted the blood from the fairies. A gruesome job but it never seemed to bother him, at least in the short times they interacted together. “How old are you Seth?” Luna asked something easy, age didn’t matter but that would be something that could come in handy later on.

Erie wasn’t surprised when Castor offered to give her a ride back home once they were finished here for the weekend; they lived on the same estate after all so it shouldn’t be an issue. “If you wouldn’t mind, I would appreciate that.” She agreed with a slight smile. As Castor spoke about their energy drinks she laughed a little, calling out to work would be great if they could get away with it and staying here for a few extra nights wouldn’t be so bad. “If we can swing it that would be great. It’s like a vacation away from family and work.” Ghost Hunting might have been a type of work for Castor but it wasn’t for Erie, she wasn’t usually seen on camera anyways; well at least until now since she would be seen in frame all the time while they were here. They put all the drinks inside the fridge before she spoke about the temperature drop that she had noticed previously. “I was just curious if anything else had happened, we know by now sometimes spirits will only get active with just one person in the room. Just wondering if this was one of those cases.”

While Erie spoke about the charger she had brought and the extra batteries she made sure to pull those items out of her bag now to plug into the wall closest to her as she listened to Castor speak. After she finished with that she sat back on her bed and took a drink from her energy drink as well, despite being cold within the room so far all was peaceful which was an okay sign. Castor had just put his energy drink into the fridge when they heard the elevator ding out in the hallway as it sounded like someone had departed the elevator, she watched him move to the door and open it to look out. She waited to hear what he had to say and then he was looking over his shoulder at her with a smirk telling her what he had witnessed. “We can check out the elevator first and head down to the first floor to ask if they will let us set up our own cameras or if they will let us take a look at their own later. If not then we can ask about interviewing the staff, either way I think heading down to the reception area is our best bet.”

She took another big swig of her energy drink before putting hers into the fridge with Castors, she stood up and grabbed her camera turning it on before she moved over to the door with him. “Let’s go. If we’re lucky maybe we can catch something on camera in our room while we’re gone.” She said before heading out into the hallway, once Castor joined her and shut the door behind him they made their way to the elevator and pressed the button. She scanned her camera slowly down the halls on either end of them before landing and focusing on Castor. “Do you want to tell your viewers where we are Castor and what we are doing here?” She asked from behind the camera, this was his youtube show after all so he should be the one being filmed almost as much as the ghosts themselves. Plus while they were waiting for the elevator to come back up, now was the perfect time to address his audience for when they edited the videos and posted them onto his page. Though the camera was focused on Castor as he spoke in the background something seemed off, almost like a rolling mist in the far end of the hallway. “Castor.” She whispered before pointing behind him.

Ayden woke up in the dorm like he always did, he laid in bed a few extra minutes as he processed that it was morning and once again time to go to school. He got out of bed and made his way to his shower, when he was finished he got dressed before fixing his pink hair. Once he was satisfied with his looks he grabbed his book bag and left his dorm room, he made his way out of the boys dormitory and walked across the lawns towards the school. The moment he made his way to the front steps he was surrounded by girls, he stood there talking and flirting with his usual girls. He only used a little bit of his power doing this, he had to train after all and since he had come to school and started using his powers he had managed great control. He could completely turn off his powers essentially but what fun was that for someone like him?

Some of his cambion friends were with him while the girls were fighting for his attention and his attention was on keeping the girls happy but he was listening to his friends talk. “Have you noticed the sudden influx of new students?” “I have actually. It’s kind of weird.” “It feels like we have only had one or two the past year but this year it’s been like ten or fifteen that I’ve just seen this weekend.” Ayden blinked a little confused, he hadn’t noticed anyone new. He looked away from his group of friends and the girls trying to get his attention to look around the campus and only then did he pick out the new students. Some of them stood awkwardly together talking, some of them stood by themselves and a few were talking to people he knew. “I hadn’t noticed until now.” He contributed to which his friends started to tease him. “Because all you’re ever interested in is girls.” “What can I say? Girls like me and I like them.” Ayden said with a smug smile to which his friends laughed, they all knew what he was and that he used his powers on girls to amuse himself.

“I see a few new girls so this should be fun, a new challenge to work with.” Ayden says his eyes scanned a few of the girls that he could see. “That would be your first thought. I hope one of them can resist you.” “No one can resist me.” Ayden said with a little smirk as he scoffed softly. “I guess we'll see won’t we?” They went into the school building and separated to their classrooms, he took a random seat in the back. He was passively watching people walk in while he was relaxed back in his seat and then his eyes landed on one of the new girls as she walked in. He’d encountered many angels and they always had a certain air about them, something within her was similar to this as she took her seat. He just had to mess with her now, he loved seeing the reactions of angels; they always thought they were better than everyone else but he loved to see his powers work on them and see them fight against it.

He wished that he had had the time to move seats to find one closer to her but he couldn’t, it was far too late as the seats were already too full around her. It was okay though, because he would just bid his time and wait for a break to make his way over to her. Class was otherwise boring to him, so much so that he made kissy faces and winked at girls across the room from him, any girl that looked at him was free reign. He loved seeing how some would blush and quickly turn away or how others would flirt back with him from across the room, he knew that if they were up close they would devolve into a blushing fool like all the rest. No one was immune to his charms. He somehow managed to make it through class and once the teacher finally left he was up out of his seat making his way over to the new angel girl.

“I’ve never seen you around here before and I would have remembered a face as stunning as yours.” He said with a smile as he stopped in front of her desk before continuing. “Hi beautiful, my name’s Ayden. What’s yours?” He asked while standing in front of her desk with a charming smile. He wasn’t really surprised by the way she reacted towards him, it was pretty much all the same when it came to angels. That’s why he loved messing with them so much, they were always such a challenge to win over. “Aw, come on gorgeous, don’t be like that. If you give me your name I’ll use it instead of pet names.” That was a blatant lie, he would absolutely still use pet names on her but he might be more inclined if only slightly to use her name in certain circumstances. She did not, in fact, give him her name but he expected that. He just continued to smile at her as she spoke before the teacher came in telling them to take their seats. “I’ll see you again real soon princess. I’m not giving up on getting to know you.”

He made his way back to his seat, smirking a little; he loved the chase after all it was so much more fulfilling than when the girls would just give into him without a second thought. As he took his seat he could see a few of the other girls in the class pouting, he assumed it was because he had honed in on one of the new girls in the class. It was fine, he didn’t care that much about them after all, they were just another part of his game but now that he has his eyes set on someone new to play with he would have to focus if he wanted to gain her attention. Class started with their new teacher but his mind was circling on his new prey, the new girl he wanted to play and toy with. His mind was already thinking of things that he could say or do to her to try to get her to pay attention to him and for some reason he wasn’t thinking of using his powers against her more than what was naturally happening around him.

Minjee woke up with a start that morning, the sun was barely up peaking past her curtains as she sat up clutching her chest. She’d had some kind of nightmare about people finding out about what she really was and forcing her to use her powers against her will. It was a normally occurring nightmare, one that she’d had since a little girl because of all of her parent’s brutally honest warnings. This fear was however amplified by the fact that she was so far away from home, in a room that wasn’t hers surrounded by people she didn’t know. Her heart was hammering in her chest as she curled her knees to her chest and squeezed her eyes shut as she practiced her breathing exercises. After a short time the tightness in her chest lessened enough that she could move without feeling like she would faint from the excursion. So she carefully and quietly got out of bed, tip-toeing to the bathroom to not disturb anyone where she turned on the hot water, having gotten used to bathing in cold water she’d fallen in love with hot water.

She got into the shower and quickly showered before getting out and drying off, she looked through her humble and meager clothing before picking something out that was about as nice as her clothing got and she got dressed. She quickly gathered her things before quietly leaving the room with her bag full of supplies for school before she stopped down at the common room and grabbed a granola bar to eat as she walked across the lawns to the school. It was so big she was sure that she would get lost despite having carefully mapped out her route the whole weekend, it was just so overwhelming. Even as scared as she was she was determined to try this, she wondered if the world was really the way that her parents had constantly told her it was. Were people really as greedy and ruthless as they would slaughter for peoples powers? She wondered if anyone would accept her for who she was, for her and not what she was but mostly she wondered if anyone would accept her for what she was and not use her for their own gain.

According to everything she was told it was a futile dream, an impossible urge to be accepted by people who wouldn’t abuse her powers but she wanted friends. She wanted people to care for her well being, people to talk to and confine in about all the stress and someone to tell all the secrets she had been forced to keep. She crumpled the now empty granola bar wrapper in her hands as she looked around to find the nearest trash can, not finding one she then made her way into the building. She finally found one in the nearest restroom before she wondered what to do, seeing no reason to just go back outside she instead made her way to her classroom to sit down. She found the door closed still and when she tried to open it she found that it was open, pulling the door open she peeked inside only to find it was completely empty. She chewed on her lip nervously as she tried to decide what to do, she could turn back and go back outside but what good would that do her since she was already here?

With a deep sigh she slowly moved into the room looking around, she found a seat near the front and decided to just sit down there for the moment. She sat on the edge of the seat ready to get up at any moment, at any sound; despite wanting to be stronger she was still just so afraid of the outside worlds she was now in. Turns out her parents had done their job more adequately than she had thought, sure she knew she would be nervous being so far away from home and all that she knew and being completely and utterly alone. She hadn’t expected to feel so completely alone and unwelcomed in this place however, she had just assumed that it would be easy to adjust. A clatter from down the hallway made her jump where she was seated, knocking her leg into the desk and making her cry out from pain. “Ow!” She grabbed her knee to rub at the pain before quickly looking up at the door in hopes that no one heard her.

To her dismay someone poked their head into the room to find her sitting by herself in an empty classroom, surely this was going to look weird and he would make fun of her? “Are you new here?” He asked curiously as his eyes roamed around the room and when she nodded in answer she had to remind herself she needed to vocalize that answer. “Um yeah. I am.” She answered softly and he looked at her before smiling. “I am too. I thought maybe I would be the only one who would be here early.” He said as he walked into the room with a smile towards her. “Can I sit next to you? I’m Jeff by the way.” He asked as he stood next to the chair and Minjee smiled, finally relaxing a little. “Sure I don’t mind. I’m Minjee.” She offers as he holds his hand to shake and she hesitates for a brief moment before taking it and shaking it awkwardly. “I’m not making you uncomfortable, am I?” Jeff asked, sounding worried.

“No. I’m sorry I’m just really awkward. I was homeschooled so this is all very new to me and I’m really nervous.” Minjee explained, looking worried herself. “Really? What was homeschooling like? I’ve been to public schools all before this so it's new to me too.” Jeff explains and Minjee relaxes a little again. “Homeschooling is lonely. It was just me and my parents so I’ve never really had friends before. We lived pretty remotely.” Minjee offered a little more information. “Wow, that’s crazy. So like in the mountains or like on a farm or something?” Jeff asked and Minjee nodded. “Yeah there weren’t a lot of people around while I was growing up.” Minjee answered. “I grew up in a city, public school was always packed and the teachers never seemed to care about anything but maybe their paychecks. I wonder if this school will be any different.” “I’m not sure.” Minjee said with a slight shrug of her shoulders.

Jeff had gotten ready for the day like usual, he lived in town so he got to stay at home instead of being inside the dorms, he went to the kitchen for breakfast where his parents were waiting for him. “Keep your wits about you at this new school son.” His dad told him and Jeff held back a sigh. “Yeah I know dad.” Jeff automatically answered, he had been given this warning multiple times a day since he had talked his parents into agreeing to let him go. “This is serious. You need to be vigilant, Jaeho!” His mother scolded him. “I am! I’m just tired of being told the same thing six or seven times a day. I’ve always been careful!” Jeff huffed his annoyance starting to leak into his tone. “Don’t talk to your mother like that!” His father bellowed at him in anger and Jeff decided he would rather skip breakfast. “Yeah okay. I’m going to school.” He grumbled as he instead left the house listening, and ignoring, to his parents yelling after him.

He had been raised to believe that the government were making up this whole situation with the supernaturals, he had no idea why just like his parents. But in all his time being alive he had never once noticed anything out of the ordinary happen around him to prove what everyone else believed. He walked across the city to the massive school towering before him, the special one that was for supernaturals and magical people; neither of which he was. The whole thing had been so weird, why had the people in control of the school come to him and his perfectly normal family? That was what had intrigued him the most about this situation, he was just a normal human so why had he been invited to attend this school? In the end it just didn’t make any sense and he wondered if he attended then maybe just maybe he would get or find some answers to his questions here.

He walked through the open gate and across the lawns towards the school, he was early of course and the walk to the school had only made him more hungry. He wandered around a little before he ended up in the school cafeteria where they just so happened to have breakfast ready for the students if they chose. He grabbed some oatmeal and ate it in silence by himself, it seemed no one was here this early and he couldn’t really be all that surprised by this fact. By the time he had finished eating and throwing away his trash he found that students were congregating on the lawns, talking to friends or just hanging out before it was time for class. He figured this was as good a time as any to look around the school and investigate a little on his way to his classroom. He walked along the hallways opening doors and looking into the classrooms determined to find something; anything at all.

One of the doors was stuck slightly and thinking that it held the answer he pulled on it harder only to have it fly open and a chair fell out. He jumped out of the way but the chair clattered against the floor as it fell, he hoped that no one had been around to hear that but heard someone from up the hallway say ow. He put the chair back in the room carefully before closing the door before he continued towards the room he thought he heard the voice from. Before looking into the room he noticed the number of the room, it was his classroom, so whoever was in here would be one of his classmates. He looked into the room slowly to find a frightened girl in one of the seats, seeing how scared she was he wondered if she had seen or knew something that he didn’t so he called out to her.

“Are you new here?” He asked her as his eyes roamed around the room carefully to see if something weird was in here but when he found nothing he brought his eyes back to her as she answered. “Um yeah. I am.” Her voice was soft, like she was afraid of speaking any louder than that so he smiled at her trying to ease her into conversation. “I am too. I thought maybe I would be the only one who would be here early.” Jeff explained while walking into the room and over to where she was before standing nearby as he asked her a question. “Can I sit next to you? I’m Jeff by the way.” He waited a few moments before she smiled and answered his question. “Sure I don’t mind. I’m Minjee.” He offered his hand to her and it took her a few minutes to reach out to grab his own and he wondered if maybe he had done something to offend her or something. “I’m not making you uncomfortable, am I?” he asked, sounding worried. What could he have done that could have upset her already?

“No. I’m sorry I’m just really awkward. I was home schooled so this is all very new to me and I’m really nervous.” She looked worried as she explained the situation and he felt much better but also way more curious about her now. “Really? What was homeschooling like? I’ve been to public schools all before this so it's new to me too.” Jeff wondered why she would go from homeschooling to a prestigious school like this all of a sudden so he asked some questions while offering information of his own to put her at ease. It seemed like it worked as she answered, giving him more information again. “Homeschooling is lonely. It was just me and my parents so I’ve never really had friends before. We lived pretty remotely.” Minjee offered him a little more information. This was even more curious. Why would she come all this way for school? “Wow, that’s crazy. So like in the mountains or like on a farm or something?” Jeff asked some more questions again and he was rewarded by Minjee nodding.

“Yeah there weren’t a lot of people around while I was growing up.” Minjee answered. “I grew up in a city, public school was always packed and the teachers never seemed to care about anything but maybe their paychecks. I wonder if this school will be any different.” “I’m not sure.” Minjee replied with a slight shrug of her shoulders. He looked at her from the corner of his eye, she seemed normal and human enough but he couldn’t help but wonder if she was one of those people that thought they were supernatural or had some kind of magic. She had to be if she was here though right? That’s what this place was for supposedly right? He knew he couldn’t just come out and ask her what she thought she was, if he came into this completely negatively then he might push her away from him instead of making a friend. He figured he would just wait and see if the subject would come up organically.

Pack life was different from school life, hell it was different to just about any other kind of life there was and in most aspects a lot more challenging. Hyesu was glad to be back at school, tucked away into her little dorm room by herself as she treated and healed the wounds left over from having gone back home for the summer. Pack dynamics were tough, a lot of her pack mates didn’t approve of her going out of the pack for schooling; they didn’t care even when she explained that her mate was there. None of that mattered, and they made it very well known as she looked at herself in the mirror that morning, bruises and cuts and bites marking her skin. They were bitter, jealous even. Most of them were just violent and looking for a reason to take it out on her, and they finally had one. She had left the pack to go to some fancy school, in most of the pack's eyes it was a type of betrayal, she was choosing herself over the pack.

She growled quietly before getting into the shower to wash and treat her wounds for the day, when she came out she wrapped all the wounds after putting ointment on them. Things like this made her angry, pack mentality could be so toxic and violent; she loved her family but the pack was another thing entirely. Part of her hoped that her mate wasn’t another wolf, that she would be able to get out of the pack or find a new one, one that would accept her for all that she was. Powerful despite being a girl within the ranks of werewolves instead of the pack she was born into who believed only the male wolves should be in positions of power. She dressed in a rough manner, her mind still annoyed by her time with her pack as she left her room and stalked to the kitchen for something, she grabbed some bacon before leaving. She didn’t want to talk to anyone or even play nice with people like she normally would; she couldn’t bring herself to fake anything right now.

She made her way to the school on the lookout for any of the friends that she had made but upon seeing none of them she instead decided to just sit on the lawn under one of the many trees to relax. She laid back eating the few pieces of bacon that she had grabbed before she had left, even after she had finished eating she stayed where she was until it was time to head inside the school. With a heavy sigh she sat up and slowly made her way in with her bag of supplies, she found her room with ease and it was mostly full. She was hit with two conflicting emotions immediately upon stepping inside the door, she shook her head trying to figure out what was going on. Two pulls to two different people, she furrowed her eyebrows glancing between the two males in the classroom behind her the teacher came and she was forced to make a quick decision. She ended up next to one of them however once she sat next to him and caught his smell her wolf howled in anger.

A part of her wanted to be close to him but the anger of her wolf was telling her that this was wrong, it felt similar to the mate bond but it was different, it was unnatural - not to a cat. Wolves didn’t mate to cat’s, she gritted her teeth in focus as she tried to pay attention in class, she wanted to be stuck into his side but she also knew that it wasn’t right. She had no idea what was going on but it was unnatural, something was twisting her mate bond and confusing her. Overriding her feelings. She managed to only snap her pencil once in class, she couldn’t even pretend to be ashamed of it as she had disrupted the classroom. Instead she had just pulled out a second pencil, she would absolutely have to get out of this situation somehow - if she couldn’t then her school would suffer. Once it was time to switch teachers she immediately stood up, she fought with her own emotions as she forced herself out of the classroom.

Getting to the hallway she pushed open one of the windows and stuck her head out of it breathing deeply trying to clear her foggy feeling mind. People were moving all around her but she ignored them trying to get a grip on her emotions, she wasn’t exactly sure what was going on with her but something was. She heard someone moving up next to her but she continued to try to ignore them until she caught their scent again, it was the cat that she sat next to. Her eyes snapped open as she turned her head to look at him, it seemed that he was having trouble with whatever was going on with them as well. She wanted to say that this was wrong, that she didn’t want to be near him but she couldn’t bring herself to despite the way her heart ached in her chest but all that filled her mind was this boy besides her.

“Let’s go back to class.” Was all she could get out as she turned around and made her way back to the classroom, she took her seat next to him once more. It felt wrong, but it also felt so right even as she scrunched her face up in annoyance. This wasn’t her mate so why couldn’t she look at anyone else? She wondered as her eyes trailed over the boy next to her, she scowled silently, finally tearing her eyes away from him before looking around the classroom. She saw various kinds of people inside the classroom before her eyes landed on a boy on the other side of the room, he was watching her and perhaps the boy beside her with an unreadable look in his eyes before their next teacher came in. They were all forced to pay attention which was a new challenge of itself but she was somehow managing to take notes but she was thankful when the class was over again.

Yukine was happy to hear an affirmative answer from Soren as the other girl answered her question about being okay. As the other girl answered her second question with what she did Yukine went on guard, being told that something was coming in this type of a place was never a good thing, however the group of goblins that were making their way towards Soren were quickly turned back once more by the vanguard. Yukine was ready to go but ultimately stayed back to let Soren take care of herself so when two goblins were sliced in half and the last two ran off as well Yukine nodded a little. “All’s good here. You okay still?” Yukine asked while checking the girl for any visible injuries but she found none. Being happy with that she made her way past Soren ready to continue, she knew they needed to keep moving and someone would make sure that Eddie continued forward but even if he went back to the entrance that would be okay. She still felt bad that she had dragged him here without his things but she paused and looked at Soren who wasn’t too far away.

“Soren? I know that we’ve just met but could I ask you to keep close to Eddie? I know you want to do your job and protect all of us but I really need him safe. He’s without his usual gear and it’s my fault.” Yukine told the other girl in a soft voice. “I didn’t mean to drag him in without his gear but it’s happened and I’d really owe you for keeping him safe for me.” Yukine explained further before smiling at the girl. “Don’t worry about me, okay? I’ll be just fine. If I need any help I’ll just call out to you guys.” Yukine felt stronger still but she wasn’t sure if it was all just a fluke so she wasn’t going to be taking any unnecessary risks. She instead took the lead hoping that Soren would fall back and keep Eddie safe and once she was far enough away she was not surprised at all by the 4 goblins that stepped onto the pathway before her. Instead of waiting for the Goblins to make the first move she activated Motion Blur, she dashed forward faster than most people’s eyes could see, hunters included but in the back of her mind she assumed Raine would see the movement.

Yukine finished her dash in the middle of the group of 4 goblins and lifted her arms to activate a skill, however a goblin wasn’t as surprised as she thought since he swung his scimitar and it connected as she pulled away from them. Despite the failure to surprise him with her speed she wasn’t giving up just yet even with the blood running down her right arm, she tried once more to attack when an arrow plinked into the dirt next to her foot. She didn’t have any chance to start another attack and instead had to dodge the 2 scimitar wielding goblins and the hammer wielding goblin. The two blade wielding goblins continued to advance swinging their weapons but Yukine just continued to fluidly move around them waiting for an opening. She tried to attack two of the goblins but wasn’t successful until she saw an opening and went though to the third goblin that had the crossbow. Seeing that she surprised all of them she had a few minutes leeway and started to spin as she arrived, her arms moving outwards to her side as lightning arced off them.

Creating her own centered swirling vortex the four goblins were pulled into the middle where her blades were spinning. The damage being dealt continued to add up until they all dropped to their feet dead which was when she finished spinning, only then did she realize she was a bit light-headed. She took a few minutes to herself to stand still and watch as the bodies dissolved leaving behind her spoils, 4 white essence cores, 4 pieces of gold and she watched rather dumbly as her exp bar continued to fill up. So it wasn’t some kind of weird dream, she was actually gaining experience points which meant that she would level up soon by the amount of the bar that was left. She pocketed her items and then wiped at her new injury with an annoyed look, a small trickle of blood was dripping down her arm so she sighed and pressed her arm against her shirt as she walked back over to the rest of the group. “We should continue walking unless anyone else has anything to add in?” Yukine offered looking at Eddie and Soren but she did run her eyes over the shadows around them seeking where Raine might be.

Huxley was an early riser, a habit left over from boarding school and his previous life; he sat on the balcony of his apartment watching the sun rise as he drank a calming cup of earl grey tea. The city was busy below him, cars stuck in traffic, people walking the streets, kids in school uniforms as they made their ways to school. Men and women in office attire making their way to work, he looked up to people like them, the ones who worked so hard to get the life they want. Working tirelessly day in and day out, and in his own bizarre way he supposed this applied to him except he was no mere office worker. He was a florist with his own flower shop, the very thought of his job brought a smile to his face, his shop was the most important thing in his life. Maybe to some that would be pathetic, or even a little silly but it was all Huxley had since he dropped his life as Richard and instead chose to be Huxley. Even now thinking about himself as Richard was off putting and unnatural, it didn’t feel like he was talking about himself when he used that name.

He finished drinking his tea before standing from the chair on his balcony and making his way into the apartment, it wasn’t a very big apartment. Just enough room for one since he was the only one he had here, there was no need for anything extra. He set the single cup into the sink and double checked that the stove was turned off, the kettle was emptied down the sink so that water wouldn’t be sitting stagnant the whole day. He had already made and eaten breakfast, had already showered and gotten dressed for the day and now it was finally time to leave. His first step after leaving his place was to make his way to the flower shop to open it and get it ready for the day, when his workers arrived he would make the most of his day off. To his workers, opening the shop and getting it ready for the day nullified the fact that this was supposed to be his day off but what they didn’t understand was that doing small things like that kept him grounded. The pressure of being a high ranking healer within Serenity’s Promise would have been enough but it was well known that he was also Mingze’s favorite healer and some would say even his most talented.

From the outside his life looked easy and while in many ways it was, it also had a chance to take a terrible mental and emotional toll on him. Dungeon raiding was dangerous even with an A-ranked healer, he was only one man, with his own limited amount of power. Sometimes people didn’t make it back out despite everything he did and those who died in the dungeon weighed heavily on his mind day in and day out. He had a book with all the names of all the people who had died in dungeons because he couldn’t save them and every day he reads over their names and remembers the sacrifice they unwillingly made due to his limitations. Remembrance was hard but forgetting them would have been even harder. He continued his walk to the flower shop, he unlocked the door and turned on the lights before starting to set up for the day. Opening the blinds to let the light shine in and to let people see all of his beautiful flowers, his shop was his labor of love and it showed. After an hour of setting up his workers arrived for their shifts, all but shooing him from the shop and demanding that he go and enjoy himself today.

Huxley knew about the Uilcore event today but had been asked by Mingze to not worry about it but to keep his phone close at hand just in case. It was a reasonable request, he didn’t care about the money but if he was needed to help save a life he would instantly give up his day to do so with no complaints. Helping people had always been his number one priority from the beginning and when his powers awakened that had only minorly changed to healing people as often as he could. He must have been stuck on autopilot as he walked because before he knew what was going on he found himself standing in line to get into Lotte’s world. “Ahhh~ When was the last time that I was here?” He mumbled to himself softly in English not wishing to disturb the people around him. He got a couple of curious or annoyed looks but that was normal, he just smiled politely at them and dipped his head slightly in greeting; a few people must have recognized him as they broke off into whispers. He didn’t mind being recognized but he also wasn’t trying to get recognized, he had spent so long hiding himself that he was finished doing that.

He got to the front, bought his ticket and continued through into the amusement park with a soft smile, he looked around a bit before making his way to his favorite place in the whole park. The Carousel. Huxley was in no hurry even though it was his favorite place, sometimes it was just nice to take it slow and relax, to enjoy the way things were going at their own pace. The smiling and happy faces of people, young kids darting around and laughing loudly, middle school and high school laughing and riding the rides and taking pictures. Making sure to enjoy themselves and make precious and beloved memories before it was too late; which it was for Huxley he didn’t have any more precious and beloved childhood memories. In places like this surrounded by all things good and the contagious laughter made it easy to forget that outside of this place the world had changed so drastically the last few years.

As he made his way over to the line to stand in, a group of people rushed past jostling him and he almost bumped into a woman and young child. “Excuse me, I’m so sorry I didn’t bump into you did I?” He questioned immediately looking at the child and all around the two to make sure nothing was dropped before he brought his green colored eyes up to meet the woman's face. “I didn’t make you drop anything, did I?” It was about then that her face behind the large sunglasses started to look familiar to him, he stared at her for a second too long before he realized what he was doing. “I’m so sorry for staring, It’s just you look so familiar and ah! Miss Wallace is that you?"
He questioned finally connecting the dots and smiling at her before he looked at the young girl with her. “You two must be here to have fun. I won’t delay you further. I hope you both have the best day today!” He told them with a bright smile, a dip of his head before turning away to get in line for the Carousel once more.

Yue had arrived by boat just like the others would, she was alone as she traveled however since she opted to getting here before her goddess. She wanted a better lay of the island just in case something went wrong, both families were mafia and you could never be safe enough. She might not have been the bodyguard to her goddess but she was still the first thing on Yue’s mind since she needed Yue and Yue needed her back. The island should have been a tropical paradise but instead it just felt like another cage to her, sure this one was gilded and golden but in the end it would always just be another shackle. This one involves a ring and another person to drag along with her, someone else to worry about when she would rather not have ties to people. She didn’t even interact much with her own family members within the mafia, only when she absolutely had to see them did she.

The island was all soft sand and clear waters, it should have been refreshing but it was tainted by the fact that this would be where she would be meeting her arranged partner. The mansion was beautiful both inside and out, her bedroom was perfect meeting all her expectations and beyond, the bathroom was the same, matching her aesthetic perfectly while still fitting within the cosmic aesthetic the mansion had going. Clearly a nod to the family's celestial beginnings and curse, or blessing depending on the person you speak to. People had been arriving for the last few hours but Yue kept to herself, to her room as much as she could but she knew that would only last for so long. Today was the day, well tonight was anyways; she spent her last few free hours in her room as was usual for herself but when it got close to time she showered and got ready.

Yue wasn’t one for dresses and since she didn’t need to be someone else tonight she opted for a nice pair of black high waisted dress slacks. Her shirt was white and had a completely open back, while looking in the mirror she found the look both attractive and functional. She put her usual earrings in and styled her hair in her usual style before doing a subtle makeup look, she wasn’t one for a lot of makeup and despite her aversion to heels she slipped a pair onto her feet to finish the look. A perfect blend of masculine and feminine which is usually what she liked overall, at least in formal settings like this if it was a more casual situation she would be dressed more edgy. With a soft tug on one of her earrings she turned away from the mirror before exiting her room, her heels clacking with each step on the polished surface. Down the stairs and eventually after a short time she made her way into the ballroom where the two families would be meeting face to face for the first time.

Yue stepped into the room and scanned the area to see who all was here already, immediately taking notice of Isamu, Yura, Niles and Fen who were family. Three others were within the room as well, one of them engaging in conversation with Yura while the others were alone except Isamu who was loudly talking to the room as was the usual for him. Fen was conversing with another woman, a maid by her dress if Yue knew anything; that was just like Fen to do. The tables were laden with wine glasses and dessert-like pastries to eat, forgoing the food she did grab a glass of wine before slowly making her way over to where the others were located. There were several tables that were mostly empty, except the one with Niles who was now joined by the man who had been talking to Yura. A brief thought of joining their table since no one was talking and the thought was appealing, she didn’t want to be here anymore than they did.

She took a slow sip of her wine while looking around the room once more, deciding that she would rather join Niles she made her way over to the two. She gave Niles and the green haired man a brief nod of her head as she pulled the chair out and took a seat, she took another slow sip of her wine before speaking. “Good evening.”
That was polite wasn’t it? To greet people that you have joined. Oh well, at the very least they could give her a small greeting back or even ignore her and either option was honestly okay.

                                                                  𝕃𝕠𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟: Ballroom ⌉

Seoho’s mind was mulling over all the destruction they had continuously found while traveling, so much death in the time they had left and then gone back home victorious only it didn’t feel like a victory with all that they had found in the wake. His thoughts moved onto how he still had no knowledge of his own parents, if they were alive or dead and he hated the fact that it didn’t really change anything for him. He and his parents had always been a bit estranged, they were more interested in their jobs than they were their own son. Some people shouldn’t have kids, he had since accepted that his parents were one of those. He was brought out of his thoughts as they made it to the place they had heard about, a community that was intact and surprisingly peaceful from the looks of it. They found the leader of the community's house and when they arrived there Leedo went inside to talk to the man as the rest of them stood around waiting. He watched the people walking around normally, no sense of hurrying or frantic energy doing the most mundane things; he didn’t think he would ever see this again and it felt unnerving.

While they were waiting Jiwon showed up and interacted with Keonhee causing Seoho to smile softly as he watched the two childhood friends together. He was happy to find that she was okay, not many people from home made it out safely as far as they knew anyways. When Leedo came back out she left them, he listened to the plan that Leedo had come up with before frowning a little bit. Seoho didn’t like involving civilians but he knew that if they didn’t do something soon everyone would be completely wiped out. He listened as Leedo explained what everyone’s role would be in this and he was teaching self defense, he nodded his head slightly as Leedo scolded him about making sure to teach everyone thoroughly. It was well known among the friend group that he had a problem with wanting to save and protect everyone, it had come up a lot more often during this trip than any other.

He followed the others to the center of the little town watching as Xion rang the bell to attract attention to them when Seoho looked back, Leedo was standing atop a box. The sight might have been comical had it been any other time. The community was surprisingly bigger than it originally looked once people started to come over to listen to what Leedo had to say. The response to the news was grim unsurprisingly but the facts had to be laid out plainly and even he knew that, he couldn’t protect everyone and ignorance would do no one any good. Leedo told the people each male's role and explained what was going on and to be expected and right away women were making their way over to him to start forming a line. It wasn’t a surprise really but there were a few men in the line as well, there was no shame in that; some people just weren’t suited to fighting. Learning self defense was a great way to help people protect themselves and it was definitely better than nothing.

He was working on writing down everyone’s name in his line for his self defense sessions and after a few minutes Xion ran up to him explaining the situation. One of the women in town didn’t seem to understand what was going on or why this was necessary, he looked around with Xion before the younger pulled on him to follow. Thankfully signing a piece of paper with their information wasn’t a difficult task and he was sure they could do it without him watching over and guiding them. At least he hoped so anyway. This seemed more important, everyone needed to take part in the training since peoples' survival depended on it. As he follows Xion he asks the younger what the girl looked like so they would have two eyes on the lookout instead of just the one that was Xion. He listened as Xion told him, his eyes scanning the area around them before he caught sight of someone who looked like they matched the description given to him.

“Is that her?” He asks Xion pointing her out as she leaves a store of some kind, once he got an affirmative reply he nodded. “Go ahead and go back to collecting the others while I talk to her.” He made his way over trying to catch up with her as she walked before he spoke. “Excuse me, could I have a moment to talk to you?” She begrudgingly agrees and he begins to explain why this wasn’t optional. “I know that you don’t want to take part in this but it’s incredibly important to our peoples survival. To your survival as well. This is the last standing community and we are all that is left of the fairies. We need all able bodies to fight and if they don’t want to fight they need to learn self defense so that you can protect yourself.” He could see that she still was against the whole idea and he sighed a little. “Since you don’t want to be involved with violence it would be better and safer for you to learn self-defense with me. I’ll do everything within my power to keep you safe so that you don’t have to fight but I would feel better with you knowing how to protect yourself at the very least."

Seoho knew he shouldn’t have made that promise but she seemed too helpless and so innocent; he didn’t want to leave her without a way to survive. If the others found out he was definitely going to get an earful from Leedo because he was just told not to do this exact thing. Everyone’s survival depended on this however and if he could keep this one promise from the other boys and didn’t make this promise to anyone else everything would be fine. “I’m Seoho and you are?” He asked while holding his hand out to her and putting on a small smile, he was really hoping that he could get her to agree to his self defense lessons.

When Mari’s home was attacked she had been lucky enough to get away, she wasn’t so sure about if her father survived or not and found herself apathetic about the whole thing. He had never really cared about her to begin with and now that her mom had passed she really had no one left in this world that mattered to her. She hadn’t been sure what to do with herself at first, did she want to continue living in a world where she didn’t matter to anyone? But the thought of giving up didn’t sit right with her, her mother had raised her to be stronger than that so those thoughts were soon swept away. She moved on and started traveling, looking for somewhere she could settle down and perhaps even belong too. She ended up hearing about the new community and made her way there only slightly hopeful to find the place unharmed. She arrived a few months back and settled into a little house on the side streets in the town with what little she had with her which was only the basics that she could carry.

The people in the community didn’t seem to care as she moved in and started living with them but honestly they all still seemed a bit shocked by the overall situation so she was pretty much left to herself once again. This time however it didn’t feel like judgment or prejudice against her like it had been before, in fact she doubted that anyone in this place had even recognized her as a half fairy. During her short time here she was growing to like this place, in an abstract kind of way, she still didn’t feel like she fit in around here since she hadn’t made any friends but it was hard for her since she had been alone almost all her life. The first thing on her mind as she woke up this morning was about how she needed to go to the market today to get some items she needed, so after getting out of bed she got ready. There was no time for breakfast right since some of the items she would need were the ones that she needed to get. She left her house walking onto the street and made her way down towards the center where all the shops were located.

Since she was pretty new she lived a little ways away but it was a nice walk and the weather was pretty good also, some sun filtering through the leaves of the tree’s overhead. There were other people walking along the streets, most of them kind of dazed looking, shell shocked by the terrible news she was sure. It was understandable, just about anyone would be affected by this in some way, some people felt anger first and others sadness or mourning people they have lost. It all happened so quietly. It wasn’t everyday that almost everyone dies and the only ones who are left to live are huddled in one single area, it wasn’t usually the smartest option but it was all they could do right now. Especially since there’s magic hiding this collective or fairies from the outside world, they should be safe enough for now anyways but who could say in the long run.

She pulled out of her thoughts as she made it to the town center, she made her way inside the ones she needed to shop in and bought her things, a few of the places she needed to stop in weren’t open just yet so she was lingering under one of the awnings of the shops. While she was doing so she watched a handful of guys head into the middle of the town center as the bell started tolling, she looked around curiously before landing on the guys with narrowed eyes. The one on the box started talking, the news was unsurprisingly grim but even she frowned a little hearing the honesty of the situation being given to them. Being given the chance to fight was something she wasn’t expecting but the thought was appealing, if she could help maybe she should. She stayed where she was in the shade as she watched people from the street start making their ways into lines indicated by the man who was atop the box.

Deciding that she wanted a more proactive way to help she made her way over to the line for the two who were indicated to be the ones teaching them. While she was half way through the line one of the men teaching them was sent off, the line was going that much slower. She looked around wondering where he had been sent before her eyes landed on the green haired leader who had spoken, seeing him free and by himself she left the line she was in. She made her way over to him and when he looked at her she spoke, “I want to learn how to fight, not just protect myself. I was in the line already but you’re free right now so sign me up or something.” Mari said she could see everyone else signing a paper with the others. “I can start training as soon as I drop my groceries back off at home.” She told him eager to get started, maybe this would make her feel less like an outcast around people.

His mind was full of worry, for his own parents and for Jiwon, he knew that her mother was dead and he could only hold out hope that she had gotten away and was okay somewhere out there. He constantly fiddled with Jiwon’s ring in his pocket while they walked, his mind full of hope to find Jiwon in this community of fairies that they had been hearing about. Which was where they were heading towards right now, it was such a surprise seeing someplace not destroyed after having seen so many towns raised to the ground. His head was on a swivel as they walked, his eyes scanning every face that he could see hoping to find just the briefest glance of Jiwon. They headed towards the mayors place where Leedo went inside to talk to the man, he was left outside with the others. His head was down as he rolled the ring between his fingers in his pocket, it had become a bit of a fidget toy for him.

It brought him calmness and peace in its own way, and he needed nothing more than that during these difficult and troubling times. He finally lifted his head up to scan the streets and people once more when he saw Jiwon across the street, could it really be her? Was she alive and well or was this just a figment of his imagination? His heart swelled with happiness as she started to run towards him when she wrapped her arms around him. He did the same to her, holding onto her tightly, “So are you. I was so worried about you.” He didn’t want to let her go but he did as she let go of him to instead grab his face gently making him smile a little. “I’m fine. I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” He welcomed her into his arms again, holding her tightly to him like she was water to quench his parched soul. When Leedo exited the house she pulled away from him again whispering that they would talk later as she wiped her tears from her cheeks and kissed his cheek.

As she walked away from him he realized he hadn’t asked her if she was hurt, he was such an idiot. His mind had been completely distracted by just being happy to know that she was alive and seemingly well. But he didn’t know if she was well or not, she seemed normal but he only had her with him for a brief moment before she went back to doing her business. He sighed heavily as he followed the others to the middle of town, he listened as Leedo explained to the people who had gathered around them. It was grim news telling them the harsh truth but it was needed. The situation was that dire. He was glad that Jiwon was in the crowd listening, he kept his eyes on her but as the masses began to form lines he briefly lost sight of her while doing his part. She soon made her way over to him telling him that she wanted to learn how to fight while grabbing his hand; he was unsure not liking the idea of her being put in harm's way.

Before he could voice his protest however she was speaking again, telling him how she would need to wait for her burns to heal and he felt his heart drop into his stomach. She was hurt pretty badly, he couldn’t help but worry that as they were hugging early he might have caused her pain and his heart broke at the thought. He listened as she told him that she didn’t want to feel helpless ever again and that she wanted to know that she at least tried if she had to watch someone die in front of her. As she squeezed his hands he closed his eyes, he hated even the thought of this but she had a point and so he nodded his head in agreement before opening his eyes to look at her. “Okay yes. I’ll teach you how to fight. But you have to heal first, but before all of that… I have something that belongs to you.” He pulls his hands away from hers to dig into his pocket, finding the familiar ring in his grip he pulls it out before grabbing her hand with his other.

He brings her hand to him before he slowly slides the ring onto her finger, the ring he found in the ashes of her house, the ring her mother had given her. “When I found it in the destroyed house I was worried about what had happened to you. I searched high and low for any sign of you and when I didn’t find it I hoped that you had gotten away safe. That I would be able to find you again so that I could make sure this got back to where it belonged.” he said smiling at her before holding both her hands in his and smiling widely. “I’ve kept it this entire time thinking about you.”

Seoyun lived as far away from the others within the community as she could, she knew she needed to stay inside this place if she wanted to be safe but she also worried that anyone living too close to her would be affected by her curse. She usually tried to keep to herself which was why she chose to live so far away from everyone but sometimes it just couldn’t be helped especially on days like today when she needed to go shopping. Just like the rest of the people in the village who needed to shop she was up early and had arrived a little too early so she was standing on the street as far away from everyone as she could. A part of her wished that she could join them and actually be part of the community but she was so terrified at the thought of something bad happening to people when she did. What if another attack happened and wiped everyone out? It would be all her fault and just knowing her luck she would still be alone at the end of it all.

She shook her head violently side to side not wanting to get stuck on those thoughts when she had things to do instead, so when the shops opened she started with the closest one to her. Each of the shop owners greeted her by name, she’d been around here for a little while and so they knew of her by now, she didn’t dare share news of her previous home. She couldn’t help but think they wouldn’t welcome her once they found out the truth about her, about how she brought misfortune and probable destruction to the places she went to and people she met. She was in between shops checking her list as the bell in the middle of town rang, her heart nearly stopped from the sound thinking the worst. Her curse was already at work, everyone was in danger and it was because of her just like always. Only it wasn’t that, the men in the middle were delivering news of the outside, it was dire and grim which was no surprise.

Many of them had already faced losses by the way the people in the town went about their days, some of the newer ones still going through the day without really taking part. The guys were talking about training and fighting, things she would absolutely not take part in. She knew that if she did it would only bring trouble to everyone and invite disaster, so she continued her shopping. After the last shop she paused to double check her list and make sure that she had all the items she needed when someone came up and started talking to her suddenly. Surprised and caught off guard it took her a few minutes to realize he was the one who had been running around the town square talking to people and he was trying to coax her into one of the lines. She stared at him blankly wondering how she should explain to him that she wasn’t a part of this and that they would be better off without her ‘help’. “I wish I could help but nothing good would come from it, in fact it would be the opposite so just let me go on my way.”

Seoyun wished that she could help them but she knew better than to try to involve herself in something of this magnitude. It would only end badly for her and everyone else involved just like it always has. When he asked why she frowned more before furrowing her eyebrows wondering how much to tell him before sighing. “If I join, misfortune will follow. It always does.” He clearly wasn’t getting it as he tried to further explain how important it was before grabbing her arm and dragging her to the others. She was silently freaking out, he was touching her and while no one had done that before surely it would lead to something bad happening to him. She was trying to slip her arm out of his hold but he ended up stumbling before going down taking her with him where her fresh eggs were smashed below them. She slowly sat up on her knees while staring forlornly at the smashed eggs below her, she didn’t have the money to buy anymore so she would just have to wait until next time.

That meant no fresh bread and nothing else that required any amount of egg in it, cutting out most of her protein intake. She slowly stood up and ran a hand down her face in muted frustration before pushing her hair out of her face, shooting the male a quick glare she turned around and quickly walked away in silent anger with what was left of her groceries. She was not going to cry in frustration over the situation, even though she was trying not to, she could feel the beginning of tears stinging her eyes as she walked - borderline ran to get away from him. Crying wouldn’t do anything, she had learned that a long time ago.

Minjae woke up that morning and laid in bed sleepily, he dozed a little before his mom yelled for him to get up for school. He got up out of bed slowly and made his way to the door of his room to go to the bathroom he and his sister shared to shower. The door was locked and Minseo was in it stealing all the hot water, so he pounded on the door before he yelled. “Minseo! Don’t take all the hot water this time!” “You made the choice that sleep was more important than getting up and getting ready. I waited a few minutes to see if you would get up and you didn’t.” Minseo says with a sing-song voice from inside the bathroom. Minjae lightly hits his forehead against the door wondering if it was worth it after all that. “Don’t hit your head like that, you’ll give yourself a red mark before school.” His mother warned as she peeked out of the kitchen to where he was. “Fineeeee.” He grumbles softly before turning around and heading back into his room.

He sat on the edge of his bed somehow ignoring the urge to crawl back into bed and fall back asleep, his eyes were barely open when his older sister opened the bathroom door and walked out in a cloud of water vapor. “I left you some hot water.” She told him before continuing down the hallway to her room. Minjae sighed heavily and grabbed some random clothes and headed into the bathroom to start his shower. He had hot water but it soon ran out half way into his shower so he was quickly woken up by the cold water where he rushed to finish his shower and get the heck out of there. He quickly dried off and got dressed before rushing to the kitchen to grab his breakfast first before sitting down so that when his sister came out of her room he could grin smugly at her. This was just an everyday occurrence in this household so his parents were used to this by now and they hardly paid attention to what the two siblings were doing unless they started to get loud.

Minjae quickly ate his breakfast before rushing back into his room to grab his stuff for school as he checked his phone to see if the group chat had messages waiting for him. He found the guys chatting mostly so he popped into it to say he was about to leave his house. ‘About to head out. See you guys soon.’ He shoved his phone into his pocket before heading out of his room only to find that Minseo was standing in the hallway not moving. “You good? Some of us need to be somewhere.” Minjae sassed his sister who turned to shoot him a glare. “Yeah yeah, I was just taking a minute to make sure I was steady in these heels.” “Then just don’t wear them.” Minjae said with a roll of his eyes. “You wouldn’t understand.” Minseo said while turning and flicking him hard against the forehead. “Ow!” Minjae growled, holding his hand to his forehead. “Hurry up kids. You’ll be late if you two don’t get a move on.” Their father said as he walked past the two of them with his things for work. Minjae nodded until his father was past the two of them and not paying attention before making a face at his sister who stuck out her tongue and pulled down her eyelid at him in return.

Minjae rushed past Minseo knowing she would be walking slowly with her stupid heels on but as she started to wobble he caught her arm making sure she wouldn’t fall. “You okay?” He asked worriedly, sure he might have been an obnoxious little s**t but she was his sister after all. “Yeah, I think you’re right… I’ll change my shoes.” She trailed off softly as she wobbled her way to her room, he lingered to make sure she would make it and once she was in her room he made his way to the front door. “I’m heading to meet up with Sumin and the guys for school!” “Tell the boys hello for me.” His father says as Minjae opens the front door. “Sure!” She says with a grin before walking out of his house and up the street where he met up with Sumin. “Sumin!” He said with a grin as he wrapped his arm around his best friend's shoulders. “You feeling up for another great year?” He asked excitedly as they started down the street together.

Sumin brought up his dating scandal with Haemi and Minjae’s mood completely dropped, he was still hoping that whole thing had been a terrible nightmare. “Ugh, why’d you have to bring that up and remind me?” He says his head dropping forward as a scowl crosses his face. If there was one thing he hated it was DREAMDAY and most of all Haemi, their stupid bubblegum pop pisses him off and those girls didn’t deserve the fame or the fans that they had. His arm slipped off Sumin’s shoulders as he trudged along for the rest of the block until they met up with the others. “Sup.” He mumbled in a bad mood already, he just hoped that Yujun wouldn’t bring up his obsession with Haemin or DREAMDAY. As if on cue Yujun brought them up and Minjae growled before walking quicker to get away from him, he really didn’t need this first thing in the morning. He was blatantly ignoring his friends behind him as he rushed to school, it was only when they were close and he heard his name behind him get yelled did he look back.

He was about to ask what when he collided with something, he quickly looked back to the front to find Haemi was about to topple over and as much as he didn’t want to help her they were in this dating scandal already. He wrapped his arm around her waist to catch her and instead pulled her into his chest, he swallowed his pride and had to do this. “Hey, I’m sorry.” He said softly to her, it was really difficult for him to put on this soft and caring face in front of her for everyone to see. It was wrong and he felt dirty but her company wanted to use this as publicity for the girls’ upcoming album. He didn’t want to help them be successful, he hated them with a passion but he would just bite his tongue for now. The other boys joined him as he let Haemi pull away from him now that she had her balance back and the other girls of DREAMDAY joined the group.
