When Sangyeon went to bed he had hoped to wake up with a few answers after a peaceful rest, what happened however was not what he expected. A voice from inside his room roused him, a voice that was already way too familiar as he opened his eyes to see the hunter standing in his room. He sighed heavily as he sat up in his bed, he could already feel a headache forming as she flirted with him once more and he couldn’t help the blush that crossed his cheeks. He’d never met someone so flirty, or if they had been it was never towards him which he had always been more than fine with. The next thing he knew she was sitting on his lap and her arms were around his neck as she asked if she could stay this time and that she just wanted to spend time with him. The use of his name surprised him but knowing the mischievous boys in his group he already had an idea who had done it, he was curious how they got her past Younghoon but would answer that soon.

The bit of her lip and the pleading look she sent to him distracted him from thoughts of punishment, she looked cute especially up close like this. “Since you already know my name, what can I call you?” He asked before picking her up and setting her on the floor as he stood up and got out of bed. “You’ve made it pretty clear that you’ll find your way to do whatever you want anyways so there's not much I can do to stop you. As long as you don’t pose a threat to myself or my group then I don’t exactly have a problem with you staying around, as bizarre as it is.” He muttered the last part more to himself but with how close they were he was sure she would hear it. “We have a lot to talk about before I can trust you around by yourself though so I guess you get your wish of sticking around me like you wanted anyways.” Sangyeon said a slight blush crossing his cheeks speaking aloud that she wanted to be around him and him only for some reason.

He set his hands gently on her shoulders as he moved her to the opposite side of his bed and sat her down. “I have to get changed. Don’t peek.” He blushed more as he said that because it was a ridiculous thought, he knew he had a nice body and it wasn’t that he was ashamed or embarrassed by it but simply by her sudden and persistent attraction to him. He moved away from her, got out some new clothes and quickly changed while keeping an eye on her to make sure she wouldn’t turn around. He wasn’t sure why but something told him she wouldn’t, however the situation in general was strange and he was being cautious. “I’ve got some questions I’d like to ask you before we leave the room and everyone sees.” He said as he moved back around to stand in front of her and finished his sentence with a slight sniff of annoyance. “Why are you in the town? What brought you here?” He watched her body language but had no reason to believe that she was truthful or lying honestly.

She was a hunter, that was a fact. He was a vampire, which was also a fact. He was sure sometimes attraction such as this happened however it was highly frowned upon for obvious reasons. His group were not violent unless they had to be within certain circumstances but never did they kill anyone without a valid reason or meaning. That didn’t change what most hunters thought, however most of the time they were watched but left to their own devices because Sangyeon kept the group under control. “Here are some things you should know if you are going to be staying with us. There are 8 of us vampires who live here, from what I am told we have another in the cells which I’m sure you have already seen. We currently have two humans here as well which I need to sort out. Before you think the worst of us, we help people get out of bad situations by arranging for a kidnapping, the humans don’t have any idea when it will happen until it does to make it a little more convincing. We bring them back here, talk to them and find out what it is they want to do. Where they want to go and we provide for them anything they might need.”

Sangyeon knew that his group was well known within the area, he hadn’t been expecting to find out that they were being talked about outside of it however. “I have some business to attend to around here but first we should make sure you and the other humans should get something to eat. If you’d like to go back to your hotel and grab your things you can, I cannot accompany you currently but if you ask one of the other boys to go along they can. I’d prefer if you didn’t go alone due to the fact that I don’t completely trust you and I don’t want you waltzing in and out of the place whenever you’d like.” He told her honestly before he motioned for her to join him and he was fully expecting it when she latched onto his arm and he sighed a little. They left his room and went towards the kitchen where he found Chanhee had the other two humans in the kitchen eating.

Ahin woke up from one of the most peaceful sleeps she’d had in a while without realizing that she had been missing out on it. Maybe it was because the house had movement, people walking around and talking, the creaking of the floorboards just slightly enough to create a comforting atmosphere. One that told her she was no longer alone and left by herself. She laid on the bed listening as the boys moved around the house, their murmurs only punctuated by loud laughter that brought a smile to her face. It felt really strange to feel warm here, it felt like what someone should call home, not her silent house where her family never interacted with her. Just the thought of them made the smile drop from her face and her thoughts turned darker. “Would they even look for me?” She whispered into the darkness to herself as she turned on her side to face the window where the moon was rising.

She laid in that position for a few moments before the sound of her door opening caught her attention, she knew it could be no one other than Ayumi as she turned onto her back and scooted over with a smile growing on her face. As Ayumi climbed onto the bed and laid down with her, Ahi turned to face her friend with her own smile as Ayumi said that today felt like it was going to be a good day. “It sounds so silly but it really does feel like it’s going to be a good day.” Ahi agreed, feeling sheepish to admit that outloud. “I’m really sorry Ayumi. I didn’t know things were so bad for you.” Ahi said, losing her smile. This wasn’t the time to be feeling sorry for herself when Ayumi had been hiding such an important secret from her; from everyone. “If I had known I would have taken you to my place, I know it’s not much but it would have been better. Anything would be better than that jerk.” Ahi said with a slight pout.

A soft knock echoed on the door that caught their attention before Chanhee’s voice filtered through. “Uhm.. Ahin? Are you awake? I uh I checked on Ayumi but she wasn’t in her room or maybe she’s just not answering me or maybe she’s still asleep…” Ahin giggled softly before turning her eyes to Ayumi. “He’s adorable.” She whispered as she got out of the bed and made her way to the door where she opened it with a smile, finding Chanhee with a soft pink blush on his cheeks. “Ayumi’s with me and we’re awake.” “O-oh good.” His eyes were wide and the blush on his cheeks darkened a shade as he looked at the ground shyly. “I was thinking maybe you two would be hungry and I could take you both to the kitchen.” He said softly as he glanced up through his lashes. Ahi had to stop herself from reaching out and pinching his cheeks to tell him he was cute and instead turned to face Ayumi who was joining them at the door. “I’m hungry and could go for some food.”

The two girls wrapped their arms together as they left Ahi’s room and made their way down the hallway with Chanhee leading the way. The kitchen had a few people in it staring into the fridge who looked over as the three of them entered the room. “Oh hey these are the new girls right?” One of the boys exclaimed with a smile as he moved past Chanhee while holding his hand out to them. “I’m Changmin! Or Q if you want.” He offers excitedly. “I’m Ahin or well Ahi if you want I guess.” It felt strange giving him the option to call her a nickname, especially one so rarely used, as she put her hand in his. It was cool no surprise, they were clearly all vampires and she knew that was to be expected but it wasn’t unpleasant at least. “Yeah! You’re the girl who was yelling at Sunwoo!” Changmin cackled and Ahi blushed a little and looked down. “Yeah that’s me.” She muttered softly, feeling more embarrassed by that display because she normally wasn’t so feisty or hotheaded.

“He definitely deserved it if a cute girl like you yelled at him.” Another boy said with a grin as he sat down at the table looking at her. “I wouldn’t say he deserved it exactly, I was emotional and I just- I kind of lashed out.” Ahi mumbled feeling more foolish as she looked down. She tightened her grip just slightly on Ayumi’s arm before loosening it again as someone sighed from behind them. “We’ve got food in the fridge but someone will have to cook it.” She looked over her shoulder to find one of the many guys who lived in the house looking down at her. “Ayumi and I can both cook.” She told them as she unlinked her arm from Ayumi and moved around the kitchen. She pulled out some of the items from the fridge with Ayumi joining her and the two of them made breakfast for them while the boys sat in the chairs talking except Chanhee who was coming over to see if they needed anything.

After the two girls finished cooking, there were some leftovers in the pans as they joined the table and they started to eat, soon enough the other boys trickled out but Chanhee who stayed with them. Another vampire joined them, a human clinging to his side which made Ahi tilt her head slightly in curiosity. “There's leftover food in the pans if you’re hungry.” Ahin decided to say to the girl while motioning to the pans sitting on the stove still. The vampire joined them with a sigh sitting heavily into a chair before he looked at the two of the girls before he started. “I’m Sangyeon. This is my group and they were only supposed to be picking up one girl.” He said with a teasing look as he looked at Chanhee who hid his face behind his hands. “Blame Sunwoo!” “Actually you should probably blame me since I’m the one who is not supposed to be here.” Ahi said softly as she glanced down at her plate. “I’m just teasing Chanhee, he doesn’t usually mess up in any way. We don't mind if you are here but now we need to figure out what exactly to do with you.” Sangyeon says with a smile towards Ahi which makes her feel better, even if it was only a little.

Chanhee was awake when Sangyeon came back home with the hunter attached to his arm, Chanhee had watched wide eyed but didn’t say anything other than inform him about what had happened with their pick up of Ayumi. It was put off until the next morning which was unusual for Sangeyon who was usually so on top of things regarding what was going on with the boys. After Sangyeon took the hunter girl down to the dungeons he made his own way to bed where he slept until night had fallen again. When he woke up his mind was in the two girls they picked up last night, were they still around? Had they woken up through the day and been bored? He got changed and made his way out to explore the house, when he didn’t find either of the two girls in the kitchen or living room he was about to check on them when Sunwoo and Eric came back up the stairs with the hunter. He was definitely not a part of this and he wasn’t about to get involved as he moved down the hallway where the girls' rooms were.

He knocked softly on Ayumi’s door and when no answer came he knocked a little harder when still nothing came he knocked a little harder before calling out through the door. “Ayumi?” He was starting to feel nervous, what if she had just walked right out while everyone was sleeping and disappeared? His hands shook slightly but he gripped them together and turned to face the door behind him before knocking on Ahin’s door. “Uhm.. Ahin? Are you awake? I uh I checked on Ayumi but she wasn’t in her room or maybe she’s just not answering me or maybe she’s still asleep…” He fumbled over his words and was afraid of what he wouldn’t hear on the other side of the door. Instead he heard a soft giggle and Ahin speaking to someone about how he was adorable and his cheeks flushed. She opened the door with a smile telling him that Ayumi was with her. “O-oh good.” he felt relief flood his veins and his cheeks darkened at the thought of him being so worried about someone as he glanced at the ground under his feet. “I was thinking maybe you two would be hungry and I could take you both to the kitchen.” He offered as he glanced up when he heard Ayumi joining them at the door.

Hearing both girls agree to being hungry he turned and led them down the hallway towards the kitchen like they needed some kind of escort when it wasn’t even that hard to figure out where the kitchen was. Changmin and Eric were inside of the kitchen when Chanhee brought Ayumi and Ahin into the room catching the other boys' attention. Chanhee watched with a small smile as Changmin and Eric talked with Ahin but he focused his eye on watching Ayumi where he smiled at her when he caught her eye. Hyunjae came into the kitchen behind Ahin and Ayumi letting them know there was food but it would have to be cooked. Chanhee sat down for a few minutes as the girls cooked together, it seemed like they had done this before as they worked around each other fluidly. Chanhee couldn’t sit around idly anymore as he got up to check and see if any of the girls needed anything that he could help get them.

Chanhee finally relaxed when Ahin and Ayumi were finished and Changmin and Hyunjae left the kitchen leaving Eric with them while the girls ate. They were soon joined however by Sangyeon and the hunter who was clung to him once more and Chanhee’s eyes widened as he watched the interaction unsure what to make of this. The hunter let go of Sangyeon as she got some food and Sangyeon sat at the table with a sigh before the older vampire looked at the two girls and Chanhee felt his heart sink. As Sangyeon spoke up about how they were only supposed to be picking up one girl Chanhee hid his face behind his hands. “Blame Sunwoo!” He deflected quickly before dropping his hands as Ahin spoke about how they should blame her instead. Even Chanhee felt better after hearing Sangyeon say that he was just teasing the younger boy and then the hunter girl sat on Sangyeon’s lap to eat and Chanhee watched wide eyed as Sangyeon just let her. “So what would you like to do Ayumi? Ahin?” Sangyeon asked while looking at the two humans. “I don’t care what happened as long as I can still be with Ayumi.” Chanhee’s eyes flickered between the two friends as he watched and listened in mostly silence before Ahin stood up taking the empty plates and setting them into the sink.

Ahin managed to sit down while Ayumi and Sangyeon were talking but Sunwoo entering the kitchen caught Chanhee’s attention. When his friend lifted up Ahin she squeaked in surprise before he sat down and placed her on his lap, her eyes were shocked and full of pleading as she looked around the table for help. Chanhee blushed quickly looking down at the table feeling embarrassed for just seeing these kinds of displays as Ahin finally asks Sunwoo what he was doing. Eric who was next to him was laughing so hard Chanhee was worried he’d choke as he looked at the other boy worried. Chanhee had no idea what was suddenly going on with the skinship between vampires and humans but he suddenly felt shy and like he was seeing something he shouldn’t be.

Seohyun wasn’t expecting the kindness being shown to her as the vampire watching over her left and soon came back with a blood bag which he pushed through the cell doors at her. She was going to refuse it when he said that she was hurt, it was such a simple and innocent reason that she took the blood bag from him and sat on the edge of her bed looking at it as she thought about what to do with it. When he spoke up again she looked up meeting his eyes, listening as he tried to convince her to talk. Hearing that this Sangyeon guy might perceive her as a threat and cast her out someplace made her frown before she set the blood bag on the edge closest to the cells and moved far away from them. “I am a threat. I’m a monster and the only safe thing to do is leave me here, locked away like this.” Seohyun whispers as she stares down at her hands, imagining the blood of so many people on them. “I’m a monster and I don’t deserve kindness.” She speaks just loud enough as she lifts her gaze to him once more before leaning against the roughly hewn stone on the cell wall and ignoring anything else he would try to say.

She would wait for her judgment in silence and would only speak further to this Sangyeon, it was getting awfully loud upstairs which made even her look up at the ceiling above her head. A lot of laughter, joy in their voices. It was torturous hearing the joy and mirth in them and knowing that they were having such fun, she couldn’t help but think back on all the humans who had been killed because of her. How they were once like this, her friends so joyful and full of life before they were ripped from her. With a violent shudder of remembrance she shook her head to pull herself from those painful memories and she watched as her guard said that he was going to go check on what was happening. She didn’t care much either way, they could never check on her again and she’d be content with that knowing that she would waste away until eventually she wouldn’t exist and a peaceful sleep awaited her.

Footsteps alerted her to company and she looked at the cell door to find the guard, who she still didn’t know his name and it was probably better that way. The less connection she made with these people the better. With him was another male, she assumed maybe this was that Sangyeon guy however with him was a girl, human by the looks of it, clinging to him as they stood in front of her cell door. “Younghoon told me your name is Seohyun and that he found you on our lands. Care to tell me what’s going on? We don’t usually have vampires from other clans trespass.” He motioned to her guard briefly and she realized that Younghoon must have been his name. “I’m not here to cause trouble for your clan.” Seohyun said with a frown as she stood from her place with a sigh. “I’m safest right here locked in this cell. Many humans have met their untimely end because of me.” She quiets as she tries to figure out what else she could say, she did deserve to be locked up for all that she had caused.

“I’m looking to repent.” She finally says with a heavy sigh her body sagging slightly in wariness. “I was running away from my clan when I stumbled onto your lands, I was looking for shade to rest before I continued running before they came looking for me.” Seohyun was tired in many ways and when the blood bag was mentioned she looked at it before shaking her head. “I deserve the pain caused from these burns for every death I’ve caused. I won’t drink because I deserve to suffer until I waste away into nothing and even then it will never be enough to right all the wrongs.” Seohyun shakes her head as she looks at the three who are on the other side of the cell from her. “That was heavier than I expected.” Sangyeon says while crossing his arms over his chest while he looks at her seriously. “You say you’ve brought death and yet I sense no hostility or aggression from you. You’re only telling us enough to paint yourself in the way you want to be seen.” Sangyeon says making Seohyun look away from him because it was the truth.

“The closest clan I know of around this town wouldn’t have allowed such death in their walls so I’m going to suspect you aren’t from around here. Which clan did you come from?” Sangyeon asked seriously. “The Ho clan.” Seohyun sighed out. Sangyeon frowned as he let his arms fall from across his chest and turned to look at the human that was with him. “The Ho clan are in the forest between this town and the next town, they usually cause terror from what I have heard but keep the other town in their sights. Do you know much about them, Eunbin?” He asked her and Seohyun watched her as she thought.

It was surprisingly comforting and calming. After the meeting with her boys they walked out together and she smiled a little as she nodded in agreement to his words about the idiots caring about her. “Luckily Baekhyun keeps them in line, they are mostly just annoying.” She sighed softly until he took her hand in his and she stared down in slight surprise before Hanse spoke about having a place they can talk. He picked her up effortlessly, no surprise and took off; she wasn’t new to fast movement but something told her to close her eyes and lean against his chest and before she knew what was going on she had done so. He smelled good was the only thing she could think about as he ran and then he set her down and she opened her eyes, finding them by the trees on the edge of the campus. Seeing him climb a tree made her smile and she quickly joined him on the branch he was on, settling down after he told her he came here to think.

That one sentence alone made her fall into this feeling she had for him, he brought her here to his thinking place without hesitation and here she was being wary. Hearing that this place reminded him of what it used to be like made her wonder and when his eyes closed she took that moment to look over his features. He was so handsome. His eyes opened and then her hands were in his and she let him easily play with her fingers as he started to talk. They talked, sharing stories of friends and Jojo, of family; no matter how complicated that situation was he deserved to know. He was her mate after all. They spent too long talking, enveloped in the sounds of the forest in their own little bubble just the two of them that it was almost sunrise. Upon realizing this her eyes sought Hanse worried about him as they started the climb down, once they were down he said that he would walk her to her dorm and she was going to refuse when he lifted her up and took off.

It made her smile, she almost laughed in glee. To have someone who would be able to keep up with her was a feeling she couldn’t describe. As they arrived at her dorm he set her back on her feet where he planted a kiss on her cheek; It should have surprised her but she felt herself craving more as she looked up at him. His hand found hers lacing together as they both slowly started to move in closer to one another, her heart pounding in her chest from excitement. However they both felt someone coming as he told her he had to go, she understood the sun was starting to rise and if he didn’t leave now it would be too dangerous. The kiss to her nose made her scrunch it up slightly and the kiss to her forehead made her smile, she nodded as he told her the same place tomorrow before he gave her hands a squeeze and left.

She felt at peace, a part of her still giddy from the almost kiss as she made her way into the dorm with a smile on her lips. Once the door was closed behind her she was pounced at which led to her flinging the person over her shoulder and slamming into the door. “Oooow Jojo.” Chanyeol whined from behind her. “Idiot.” Suho muttered with a sigh from where he and the rest of the boys sat waiting for her. “How did it go with loverboy?” Sehun asked with a cheeky grin. “It went great thanks for asking.” Jojo told him with a smile setting onto her face once more. “I-what-you… you aren’t even going to try to fight that?” Sehun sputtered in shock, his eyes widening slightly. “You’re going to call him whatever you want regardless.” Jojo said with a roll of her eyes. “I didn’t take you as someone who would kiss on the first date.” Suho said with a growing smug look. “I should have known it was one of you trying to spy on us!” Jojo exclaimed with a huff of annoyance as she rolled her eyes. “And so what if I wanted to kiss him! He’s my mate, why should I fight against this when he’s literally mine?” Jojo glared at the older boy who chuckled.

“She’s all grown up now Baek, what are we going to do?” Suho jokes looking at baekhyun who was shaking his head. “Ignore them. We’re happy for you. He seems nice, quiet but nice. Hopefully in time we can all get along better so the two of you won’t have to run off to just be together.” Baekhyun explains with a smile. “If these idiots keep it up that will never happen.” Jojo said with a sigh before she shook her head. “I’m going to shower and get ready for classes.” Jojo says before walking past Suho and smacking him upside the head as she passes leaving Chanyeol and Sehun cracking up. She showered and got dressed again, she would be tired today but it would be worth it for the time she had with Hanse and she was looking forward to tonight when she could see him again. Her shower relaxed her body and she got out and got dressed before heading to her classes for the day while stifling a yawn, luckily she wasn’t the only one.

Classes went by with Jojo barely staying awake but she was managing unlike Chanyeol who fell asleep halfway through one of their classes and got in trouble with a smack to the head using a book. Which was hilariously entertaining and made her wake up. Once the sun had started to sink she found herself waking up again, no surprise being a nocturnal creature to begin with. She was standing in the communal area of the dorms bouncing by the door as she watched the sun sink. “Waiting to go see loverboy?” Suho chimed in. “Yep!” Jojo said with excitement as she nodded her head. Once the sun had gone below the trees Jojo took off, she knew she’d be early because Hanse wouldn’t be able to come out until after the sun had gone down but she didn’t care. She just wanted to be near him again as soon as she possibly could, she wished they could be together opening and share classes but the stupid school rules kept that from happening.

                                                                          Quote:

Seungwoo hadn’t been surprised when Jaeeun spoke up, adding in her thoughts about Hanse and the girl from behind, he smiled, listening and nodding in agreement. When they arrived and Seungsik went up first he listened as Jaeeun replied to what he had said. On hearing Jaeeun say that the two people she wanted to get to know the most she couldn’t because they were hanging out with the b***h who hates her. He raised an eyebrow slightly because that could only mean himself and Seungsik, and if that was the case this could have been ten times easier. As much as he wanted to ask her more about that he figured it was time to let her head up before it got too much later. Seungwoo was surprised into silence after Jaeeun’s kiss to his cheek before she ran off, he chuckled to himself at the sight of that girl rushing away from him. He spent the rest of his time waiting thinking about how she had really just kissed his cheek, he thought about it off and on for the rest of the night.

Seungwoo woke up in the morning before his roommate and got dressed nicely like he usually did, nice jeans, a shirt tucked into the front of his jeans, a belt and some nice shoes. He grabbed his bag for school and made his way down to the living area before he made his way into it Seungsik was rushing out of there and almost ran into him. “Be careful Seungwoo, she-devils on a warpath.” He mumbled rushing out of the room and back towards where he assumed was his room to finish getting ready. Seungwoo took a deep breath to get ready for the hell that would soon reign down upon him as he stepped though the doorway, she stood in the middle of the room in high heels, a short skirt and had the nearest guy holding her books and bag. The moment she saw him her eyes lit up as she rushed over to him grabbing ahold of his shirt with her long fake nails.

“Seunggu! I’ve missed you, you feel so distant to me lately. What’s going on?” She pouted trying to use aegyo that she hated to use to get her way but it wouldn’t work on him. “Migyeong, that would be because I am being distant.” He sighs as he detangles her hands from his shirt and takes a step away from her as he smooths his shirt out and fixes it again. “But why Seunggu?” She pouted some more which made him sigh again. “Because we’re different and I’m tired of being stifled by your close-minded, superficial ways.” He told her honestly as he looked her in the eyes seeing her trying to cry on command. “Force yourself to cry all you want but we aren’t friends and we haven’t been for a while. Now if you’ll leave me alone I’m going to actually make friends that I enjoy hanging out with.” He tells her while scanning the room, when he noticed Seungsik and Jaeeun were nowhere to be found he passed by her and left the room. He was hoping to walk with the two of them however with the way Migyeong was staring after him with fire in her eyes he thought it best to just walk to class by himself.

It didn’t take long however before the sound of running feet was behind him, an arm slung over his shoulder and Seungwoo looked over to find Seungsik grinning at him as he chuckled and caught his breath. “That was amazing to overhear. Just wait until I tell Jaeeun about this later!” He exclaims with glee. “I’m just tired of her trying to cling to me all the time, I thought I made it clear when I stopped hanging out with her that we were going different places.” He sighs mildly annoyed. “Apparently not strong enough before man but I think you got it through loud and clear this time.” Seungsik said with a grin, they arrived at the nearest building where their classes were and Seungsik patted him on the shoulder. “I’ve got to go talk to some friends before I head to class. Let me know how it goes with queen b***h.” He says as he walks off with a wave. Seungwoo sighs but smiles as he makes his way into the classroom and grabs a seat, he heard more than saw Migyeong come in with her little group of kiss asses and he ignored them despite hearing her huff and puff in annoyance.

Seungwoo had hoped that Jaeeun would sit next to him but couldn’t get his hopes up since he couldn’t even wait for her at the dorms, when he heard her voice though he turned to face her and smiled. “Yeah. I was hoping you’d come sit with me.” He told her as she joined him. “Sorry I couldn’t wait for you at the dorm. I was going to but well, I’ll let Seungsik share the details with you later because I know he wants to be the one to tell you.” He said with a chuckle while running a hand through his hair as it fell back into his face. “Knowing him he’ll be waiting for us outside of class.” He says with another chuckle as he sits back in his chair slightly before the teacher joins them and starts class.

                                                                          Quote:

Yoora had been looking forward to this day since Hongjoong had moved away, she missed him and though they kept in touch the best they could they hadn’t really seen each other in person in so long. A couple pictures were exchanged, like when he changed his hair color or haircut; a few facetime sessions mostly when she was stressed out about finals. As they got older and school or college in Hongjoong’s case got more complicated it was harder to stay in touch no matter how much Yoora wished she could have. She had taken the extra care to work hard in her studies so that this day would eventually come, the day where she could see Hongjoong again. She had applied to the same college as him with high hopes and when she finally got the acceptance letter she had screamed, scaring her family before she cried from happiness.

                                                                          Today was the day.

She packed her things up into her family’s car and they drove her to the college. Her family wanted to see Hongjoong but she told them she wasn’t sure if he had class. She really just wanted to see him first. So after she got to her new little apartment; they helped her bring boxes of clothes into her room before they made the drive back. Yoora was buzzing with excitement, she was dying to text Hongjoong and find out what he was doing before hunting him down to surprise him. However she had to unpack, so that's what she did though halfway though she couldn’t take it anymore and grabbed her phone.

‘Hongie, what are you up to right now?’

With a deep breath she went back to putting away her things as she waited for a reply and when it came she grinned. She slipped her shoes on, grabbed her keys and looked around making sure she had everything she might need. After she had assured that she had everything she left the dorm and headed down the stairs, skipping and hopping down a few at a time in her excitement. Getting to the ground floor she realized that she hadn’t texted Hongjoong back and that she probably should so as she pushed out of the door of the apartments she typed out a reply. After reading it over a few times she decided that it was enough and hopefully shouldn’t raise any alarms for him, the last thing she wanted was to tip him off that something was going on.

‘Oh that sounds like fun. I was unpacking in my apartment and needed to take a quick break.’

Pocketing her phone she skipped down the sidewalk heading towards the college campus ignoring any looks she might have been given. She was excited to see her best friend and puppy love after such a long time of being apart. She didn’t expect the puppy love to linger, after all it had been years and she was pretty sure that she had gotten over him. After all she’d had two boyfriends and had been on several dates since then; surely they wouldn’t still be around. Once arriving at the campus she marveled at the sight of the huge building with the sprawling lawns before she remembered her mission. If she dwindled too long Hongjoong might leave where he was with his friends or he might potentially see her first ruining the surprise. Her messy bun flopped around on her head as she skipped across the lawns, strands falling into her face as she made her journey. After a bit of a walk around the campus grounds following the map she had been sent when she had been accepted she was close to where he should have been. Turning the corner she saw him, a bright smile lit up her face as she started to run towards him from behind.

She knew he was with some friends but it didn’t matter, even if she might embarrass him it was well past time that she could embarrass him for once. “Hongjoong!” She yelled as she latched herself to his back in a hug nearly knocking the older boy off balance. She giggled softly as he flailed about before she let go of him with the largest grin as he turned to face her in surprise. “Surprise! I got accepted to this college!” She hoped that this would come as a pleasant surprise for him. Seeing his two friends watching with amused faces and grins she smiled brightly as she leaned around Hongjoong to look at them. She gave them a little wave before she started talking. “Hello! My name is Yoora! I’m Hongjoong’s childhood friend and neighbor! It’s nice to meet you and I’m sorry about the sudden interruption."

“Oh! That reminds me. My parents say hi Hongjoong, they wanted to stay this morning to see you but I told them you were busy because I wanted to surprise you first.” She said with a laugh. “I did promise however that I would send them a picture of us together though.” She said looking a little sheepishly. She didn’t even know if Hongjoong would be okay with taking a picture with her, it might have been too long and even the back hug might have been a stretch. She just couldn’t help it. She was so excited and she’d missed him so much since they’d been apart. She couldn’t believe he was still taller than her as she looked up at him, a slight pout forming on her lips and she huffed silently. “How are you still taller than I am Hongie?!” She hadn’t realized that he had grown up so much, never had it occurred to her that he was actually quite short and she was far shorter than he was.

                                                                          Quote:

Wooyoung had not been able to see color since he could remember, his family had easily figured that out when he was a young boy and was grabbing the most outrageous colors and pairing them together in one outfit. He walked around like he owned them despite the laughs from the other kids, eventually his mother picked out his clothes after it had been proven in school that he couldn’t see colors. He grew up with just letting others pick out his clothes because he couldn’t see color at all, everything was greyscale which wasn’t helpful. In high school he met San who became his best friend and he helped him out with everything which is why Wooyoung showered his best friend with affection as he did. Being from a big family was a blessing and a curse. He was always loved, showered with attention as a child but that made him crave affection all the time and when his siblings were born his parents affection went to the younger kids.

Wooyoung understood, he was older, 8 years older than the next set of kids and they only got younger. He had to get creative with getting affection in sometimes in very creative ways. Wooyoung had given San a lot of s**t about Nari but a part of him was genuinely afraid of losing his best friend. Woo hadn’t talked to Nari before since San had the biggest crush on her so he didn’t know who she really was other than what people on campus said about her. He didn’t know whether or not she would keep San from him, however that fear went away as he got to know her. She was definitely sassy but she had never kept San from coming to hang out with him, in fact she often encouraged the two of them to hang out. However he hadn’t expected to feel so alone now that San had found his soulmate but here he was sitting in his first class by himself sulking.

San didn’t have this class with him and neither did Seonghwa or Nari so Woo had no one to talk to. The class was filling up and the seat next to him was still empty which he didn’t mind and then the door opened and the teacher walked in talking with someone and he looked up finding it was a girl. Their eyes met briefly but in that moment his world exploded into a dizzying array of colors, a headache bloomed behind his eyes making him nauseous. He closed his eyes covering his face with his hands as he suffered silently, around him he could hear voices but he was so drawn into his own pain that he couldn’t make it out. “Wooyoung are you okay?” Someone asked and Wooyoung opened an eye peeking through his fingers, he saw someone from one of his other classes that he’d talked to a handful of times. “Headache.” Wooyoung groaned out softly.

“Weird. You and Taeyeon got such an extreme headache at the same time. Maybe we should get you to the nurse also.” He said, Wooyoung was in such pain he couldn’t remember his name. “Is that where she went?” Wooyoung mumbled out as the guy helped Wooyoung collect his things and stand up, slinging Wooyoung's arm over his shoulder he answered. “Yeah that’s where Taeyeon is heading. A few girls are helping her out but I noticed you were acting weird too.” He explains as they leave the room and start walking down the hallways together, Wooyoung chanced a few looks around them as they walked squinting his eyes as he did so. He had no idea what each of the colors he saw were though he was pretty sure the blinding light color is white and the darkest color is black but beyond that he had absolutely no idea. It was just like primary school all over again but this time he could see the colors and just didn’t know which name went with which color.

“Thanks for this.” Wooyoung mumbles feeling stupid. “No problem man. Just feel better, it's not like you to be so quiet.” He said with a chuckle. “I will.” Wooyoung mumbled again as they continued walking, he winced everytime a color was too bright causing pain to flare in his head again. They arrived and Wooyoung was placed on a bed with the curtains drawn around him as the nurse was busy with someone else in the room, he didn’t want to assume him and Taeyeon were the only ones here. Soon enough the Nurse was with him examining him and asking him questions. “So what happened?” She asked curiously as she shined a light into his eyes making him flinch. “I can see colors now?” Wooyoung answered confused, unsure what else to say or that she would even understand him.

“That makes two of you.” She says with a sly look crossing her face. “You two wouldn’t happen to be from the same class, would you?” She asked as she moved to a cabinet and Woo hoped that she was getting him some aspirin. “Yeah.” Wooyoung mumbled, feeling his cheeks heat up as he looked down at his hands on the stark white sheets. “I thought that might be the case. I’ve got to go get some supplies so you two had better rest.” She says as she hands him a little paper cup of water and some pills which he takes right away and lays back on the little bed as she moves around the room before silence. Wooyoung was wondering if maybe he should bother her, the girl who gave him colors, he didn’t know if she was trying to rest or not so he moved his curtain. He found the only other closed curtain and stood up slowly making his way over to where it was before clearing his throat.

“I’m Wooyoung and uh I think we’re soulmates.” He barely got out, not sure how to approach this conversation with this girl he hadn’t even met yet. After a few seconds -- which felt like hours to Wooyoung -- she opened the curtain and he actually got to look at her. She was beautiful, like the kind that stole his breath away and made his jaw drop open slightly as he looked over her soft features. He quickly sat on the empty bed next to hers as he took in every inch of her face and she introduced herself. He couldn’t help himself as he reached out taking her hand in his, her hand fit into his perfectly and he marveled at that along with how soft her hand was. “I can’t believe someone like you was created for me.” He breathed out as he sought her eyes again.

                                                                          Quote:

Micha woke up to the noise of the neighbors fighting in one of the apartments next to her, the sounds of their loud voices were barely muffled behind the paper thin wall and she sighed heavily knowing this could go on for hours. With an annoyed groan into her pillow she threw the blankets off and got out of bed, the floor was icy cold under her bare feet and she shivered before making her way to the bathroom, the creaking of her floor accompanying the sounds of the yelling. She turned the water on hot listening as the old pipes rumbled to life, clanking as the water started to shoot out. While the water was heating up she moved to her closet and pulled out some clothes for the day. It was the start of a new year; some students would just be showing up and some would have shown up over the summer depending on where they were staying. Micha had this little place for a while but it was hers at least, she dropped the clothes on top of the sink and hopped into the now lukewarm water.

That would be as good as it gets, the water heaters in this place are just as ancient as the building and everything in it. Some of the people too. She quickly washed savering what little warmth it provided her before she got out and dried off before dressing. She had some fresh fruit in the kitchen from one of the little old ladies on this floor, a nice lady who felt like she needed to check on Micha. Annoying and kind of endearing but Micha would never let anyone know that. As usually her chest tattoo was on full display because of her fairly low shirt, she wasn’t showing off too much cleavage, mostly just her tattoo. She’d paid a lot of money for the work so people had better be able to see the work. She wore some black distressed jeans and some boots as she slipped her leather jacket over her shoulders before grabbing her school bag and helmet. Micha made sure to grab a banana real quick, finishing the fruit before the elevator had hit the garage level, she threw out the peel in the nearest trash can.

She walked across the cement structure that was the garage under the apartment complex and found her motorcycle. She pulled her helmet on while zipping up her jacket and listening as it purred to life after turning the key. Quickly turning in her seat she plopped the bag for school into the side bags on her machine before turning forwards and speeding forward. She navigated her way around the streets she was familiar with with ease before pulling into the parking lot where she rolled to a stop by the others. She found the usuals here, some of them actually went to the school; Jongho included as she pulled off her helmet to greet them. “Ay boss. Yunho.” She greeted with a two fingered salute to the two boys which made the younger boy sigh pinning her with his usual bored look. “I told you to stop calling me that. Just Jongho’s fine.” Micha chuckled slightly as she shook her head side to side before pinning him with a lighthearted look. “It’s a sign of respect so no can do. Boss.”

Micha gave him a cheeky smile making him sigh again as he looked to the sky in annoyance, some of the others laughing around them. It was a pretty normal occurrence around here, just like her and Yunho bickering back and forth was another one of those things that happened all the time. “I’ve got to head in for class.” One of the others said with a sigh while getting off their bike. “Is it that time already?” Micha asked curiously. “Yeah it is.” The girl said while grabbing her things from her own bike. “I’ve got to get going as well then. See ya.” Micha said getting off her own bike and grabbing her school bag exchanging it for her helmet before walking off. “Why even bother with that lame s**t. What a waste of time.” One of the guys sighed out loudly as they passed by him. “The only waste around here is you being a waste of space, some of us actually have goals and dreams to achieve unlike your lazy a**.” Micha hissed fake lunging at him which made him flinch and fall off his bike making everyone around him laugh.

Micha smirked at him before she and the other girl continued on their way, they separated once they got onto campus and went their own ways. Micha went through her three morning classes before she had a two hour block. She spent this time outside at one of the benches working on her homework for her engineering class. Her last class was a late afternoon class which was slowly approaching and she finally made her way to her last class sitting in a seat by the window waiting for the class to start. Just before the allotted time a tall handsome guy that she’d never seen before walked in, her eyes followed him as he grabbed a seat in the classroom. Sure it was a big campus and she didn’t know everyone but still, she’d never seen him in any of her classes before and that was interesting enough for her. She went through class paying attention though her eyes strayed over to the handsome guy on the other side of the room from her.

Once class was over and they were dismissed she put her things away before confidently approaching him, when she arrived in front of his desk she smiled her best smile at him. “Hi I’m Micha and I’ve never seen you around before.” She tells him as she stands with one hip cocked out, the epitome of cool and confident. “And I’d have remembered a handsome face like yours before.” She told him with a wink.

                                                                          Quote:

Jongho woke up to the sound of his mother’s wheelchair rolling down the wooden hallway and he sighed silently, he hated this constant reminder that no matter how good of a person you were, bad things could and would happen. By the smell that was starting to seep into his room his dad was up and had probably been up for a little while cooking breakfast for the family of three. Jongho got out of bed and went to the bathroom to shower, once he was finished he dressed and left his hair wet, he’d half assed ruffling it with a towel since he wasn’t leaving for college yet. The sound of wheels in the hallway caught his attention and he turned to stare at the door waiting for the knock, the soft sound echoed around his otherwise silent and empty room. “I’m coming out.” Jongho said crossing the room and opening the door, his mother smiled up at him sweetly and he leaned down placing a kiss on her forehead softly. His mother had always been so warm and caring, not that the accident had changed her in that way; but it had changed him.

“Good morning my son.” She said with a smile rolling backwards so that he could come out of his room. “Let me take you back to the kitchen.” Jongho said as he moved around her and took hold of the handles. He rolled her down the hallway and back to the kitchen and dining room where food was set out on the tv. “Morning son.” His dad greeted him as he finished setting down coffee for the three of them. “Hey dad.” Jongho mumbled as he settled his mom into place and sat in his place across from her. “Are you still hanging out with those friends of yours today?” His dad asked, casting a look at Jongho who nodded in reply. “Ah I see.” Was the reply that came. “Make sure to be careful while you are out today Jongho.” His mom chirped, she was always the one to ease the tension between his dad and him. “I will.” Jongho said before he downed his coffee and took his stuff to the sink.

Jongho made his way back to his room to finish getting ready before he slipped on his leather jacket, he grabbed his keys and bag for school before heading out without saying anything. He knew his parents didn’t like him hanging out with that kind of a crowd but they didn’t know his group like he did. They were all just damaged kids from broken homes looking for a family of their own, and this was it. Jongho wasn’t sure why they had decided to flock to him but they had and now they were a family; he wouldn’t abandon them like their previous families had. Jongho pulled into the college parking lot into the place they usually hung out, some of the gang were around Yunho already being there too. “Yunho.” he greeted and they hung around a little while before Micha showed up. “Ay boss. Yunho.” She greeted with a two fingered salute to the two boys which made the Jongho sigh pinning her with his usual bored look. “I told you to stop calling me that. Just Jongho’s fine.”

Jongho always had this problem with Micha but he supposed that’s what you get when she was raised by a biker. He didn’t know much about her other than that, they didn’t share their problems most of the time. “It’s a sign of respect so no can do. Boss.” Was the reply he got, it was pretty much the same one he got every day since she’d joined up with the gang. Micha gave him a cheeky smile making him sigh again as he looked to the sky in annoyance, some of the others laughing around them. It was a pretty normal occurrence around here, just like her and Yunho bickering back and forth was another one of those things that happened all the time. Which is exactly what started between his two lieutenants, they were like a cat and a dog. Micha being the cat and Yunho being the dog without a doubt however both were fiercely loyal to him and the gang and would always have each other's backs no matter how much they bickered and fought.

Jongho watched the scene between Micha and one of the other members of the gang with a blank look, the male deserved it in Jongho’s opinion. There was nothing with having a dream or a goal you wanted to achieve. Just because they were in a gang didn’t mean they had to perpetuate the typical stereotype. Jongho was able to stay a while longer before he too had to go off and head to his classes for the day. They were long and fairly boring since he was just doing general education but he focused enough to take the notes, while he wasn’t interested in this exactly he wasn’t going to fail on purpose either. After all, his mom had specifically asked him to give it a serious chance. While he had no clue what he wanted to do yet it was still important to focus and give college a fighting chance, he found he liked college classes better than high school.

He spent almost all day at the campus and in classes, minus an hour break that he took for lunch. Night had fallen and the only ones in the parking lot when Jongho arrived were Micha and Yunho, this was pretty normal for them and one of the reasons they had quickly risen in the hierarchy. “Are you two fighting again?” Jongho asked as he came within a few steps. “I was just telling Yunho that he could leave if all he was going to do was complain.” Jongho chuckled lightly, getting on his motorcycle. “Let’s head to the nearest food place.I'm hungry.” He announces and the other two immediately start up their motorcycles. They took off to the nearest place and Yunho went in to order the food since he lost the game of rock, paper, scissors to Micha. The two of them sat on their bikes watching the streets, people walking and cars driving by when a commotion to the side caught their attention.

“Looks like trouble might be brewing.” Micha says while they watch a group of guys approach a girl by herself in the street. They watched as the guys tried to talk to her, they were too far away to hear anything but it was clear the girl didn’t know what was going on as they followed behind her. “Think we should step in?” Micha asked leaning over her bike but her eyes were focused on the scene. Jongho absently looked down at his wrist where the number 5 was in black ink, his soulmate was in trouble but since he hadn’t found her he couldn’t help her. He clenched his fist feeling useless before he looked up to see one of the guys grab the girl by her wrist and pull her back as the rest of the guys closed in. “Stay here.” Jongho ordered his voice low as he started his bike and took off. He skidded to a stop where they were located just up the street and he punched two of the guys in his way, toppling them to the floor.

“Let her go.” Jongho ordered the man who was gripping the girl's wrist tightly and causing her pain. “And just who are you?” The man sneers as he gives Jongho a dirty look. “One chance to let her go before I make you.” Jongho offered once more while watching the two men on either side of him slowly move in. They suddenly pounced but he was expecting it and he maneuvered around them watching the two collide before he bashed their heads against each other and watched those two fall. Instead of giving the man another chance Jongho broke the man's hold on the girl easily before they ducked it out, Jongho taking a punch to the face before he doubled his own attack. By the time Jongho was finished the man was bloody and on the floor where he had to be dragged away by his friends, he turned around fully expecting the girl to be gone but she was still there. “You’re safe now.” Jongho sniffed as he rubbed his blood covered hands on his black pants, he was sure he was just as scary if not more so for the cute girl.

                                                                          Quote:

We can’t have her thinking that. Kissing it is.” She wasn’t stupid, some rules had to bend depending on the situation of course and this was one of the most flexible ones. As San said they should start with her joining his friends for lunch she nodded her head, she was used to this part of the deal and she’d have to give her girls a heads up. She was a little surprised by the fact that he mentioned after a while they could integrate their groups together more, none of the guys she had fake dated ever went that far. “Sure we can do that. I don’t mind eating lunch with you and your friends.” She definitely knew who Woo was but she didn’t know Seonghwa, though she was sure that she’d soon meet him.

Nari smiled as San asked if he needed to disclose everything right now or if he could inform her as he remembered things. “You can tell me whenever you remember, it's not a huge deal.” Nari informed him as they continued walking before finally making it to her apartment. Once she brought back his water and they sat down she noticed his rigid posture and how he was barely sitting down but decided not to comment on it. “Sure that’s no problem.” Nari said after he answered her question about how long they might be faking a relationship. Nari could definitely see how indecisive San was being about most of her questions and figured maybe he just wasn’t sure yet. Sometimes this arrangement wasn’t always as structured for some people and she was starting to get the feeling that might be the best way with San.

He excused himself to the bathroom and Nari scrolled through her phone, mostly looking through her social media and realizing that she posted a lot however she didn’t usually post any of her fake boyfriends on her personal and that it was usually them posting. She normally wouldn’t post but maybe this time she would since it might help their cause in making his ex believe they were actually together. When San joined her again she put away her phone as he explained that Wooyoung had been bothering San about asking Nari to help him with this problem. “He seems like a good friend, like he’s just looking out for you.” She replies before he asks about her schedule before saying he could start walking with her to school and classes. “That’s a really good idea. I’ll text you my schedule so that you can have it on hand.” She told him pulling out her phone and starting to text him her schedule and once she was finished she sent it. “There you go!”

Noticing the time on her phone after sending San the text she decided maybe they should cut this meeting short, she had to make dinner for herself at least. Yuna wasn’t back either which was unusual because night was starting to fall and Nari could only hope that she was okay. “It’s getting pretty late, I won’t keep you any longer.” She says as she stands up and walks him to the front door and opens it for him. “I’ll see you in the morning.” She almost hesitated but this was the start of the fake relationship and to make it believable they should start now. She reached in hugging San softly and she placed a kiss to his cheek before pulling away and smiling. “Get home safe. Text me when you arrive.” She could only hope that nothing would go wrong with this one, she rarely had a contract go wrong but she did however have a few guys catch feelings and it never turned out well for anyone. Especially them.

After San left Nari shut the door behind him, she threw her hair up into a short messy ponytail and made her way into the kitchen to get started on some dinner. Once she was finished cooking she ate by herself, wondering if she should text Yuna and see if everything was okay before deciding that if Yuna really needed her she’d text or call her. Nari put away the leftovers from her dinner before she washed the few dishes they had made today; after that she took her things into her room. She grabbed her clothes for the night and got in the shower, when she was finished dressing she went into her room to work on some of the homework she had got from her earlier classes of the day. Luckily it was easy going and she spent most of the time receiving her notes and reading them over to make sure it was fluid and made sense. After a while Nari heard the door open and talking, a guy’s voice talking with Yuna and Nari stood by her closed door and listened. Once they said goodbye and Yuna was left in the apartment alone with just nari she exploded out of her door excitedly as she ran over to Yuna and hugged her before looking her over.

“I was getting worried about you! Are you okay? You look okay to me. Also who was the guy who walked you back? It didn’t sound like any of your usual friends.” Nari was a bundle of questions and after a few moments she let go of Yuna as she spoke and at the end of everything Nari understood better. “Well I’m glad you’re home safe. Oh also I’ve got a new job. I’m dating San.” Nari explained to her friend and roommate, so that she wouldn’t be too surprised when he picked her up in the morning or when he dropped her off at home. Remembering that she hadn’t told her other friends she pulled her phone out and pulled up the group chat they all had and just told them she had a new contract and that she might be a little scarce for a while. She was bombarded with questions but Nari just told them they’d have to just wait until tomorrow to see who it was. They needed word of mouth to spread and her friends were not only loud when excited or surprised they knew the drill by now when she had a new contract.

“I’m heading to bed now Yuna. Goodnight!” Nari said, giving the younger girl a soft pat on the head before heading to her room for the night. She went to bed after making sure her alarm was on. The next morning she woke up to the sound of her alarm, she woke up and picked out something cute to wear for her first day as San’s girlfriend. She decided on a cute flowered crop top with a black flared skirt, she did some simple makeup and curled her hair a little settling for lipgloss instead of lipstick if she was going to be kissing his cheek off and on today. She gathered up her things left on her desk last night before heading out to the kitchen with her school bag and heels for the day. After depositing them by the door she started on breakfast for her and Yuna and when the younger girl joined her they ate. Yuna offered to wash the dishes and put everything away so that Nari could brush her teeth before San arrived so Nari did that and just as she was slipping her heels on by the door a knock came.

Opening the door Nari smiled at San, she grabbed her bag before placing a kiss against his cheek with no hesitation this time. “Morning San.” She greeted before slipping her hand into his. “Bye Yuna! Get to class safely, I'll see you later!”

                                                                          Quote:

I’m a big girl now!” Choonhee demanded after only a few minutes of Seonghwa carrying her so he chuckled while setting her down on her feet and watched as she adjusted her dress with a huff. “Backpack Hwa!” Choonhee demanded holding her little hand out for her school backpack. “Come on what kind of brother would I be if I let you carry your backpack so late at night. Tell me about school.” He said putting his hand in hers instead and watching as she pouted for a few minutes before she launched into her day. “It was good Hwa! One of my friends was being picked on by some dumb boy at recess though and I threatened to kick him in the knee! I told him my big brother taught me self defense and that if he didn’t knock it off I’d kick him!” Choonhee said with gusto. “I haven’t taught you any kind of self defense.” Seonghwa said with a chuckle and Choonhee grinned up at him cheekily. “You know that and I know that, however, he doesn’t.” Seonghwa rolled his eyes as he shook his head at her antics but he couldn’t help but feel proud at the same time.

A voice yelling out a name that Seonghwa recognized brought his attention to in front of them to find Yuna, the girl who bandaged him up from earlier looking intently at her phone ignoring her friend. And she was about to be intimately acquainted with his chest if he didn’t stop her, he dropped Choonhee’s hand as he reached both of his hands up to her shoulder effectively stopping her. He watched her eyes widen and her cheeks instantly blaze, and then she was stuttering out an apology which only made her blush deeper; her friend’s laughter not making it any better. Seonghwa dropped his hands from her shoulder as Yuna turned to her friend and he glanced down at Choonhee who was staring between Yuna and him. Choonhee wasn’t stupid she knew her brother was attractive and women often had these kinds of reactions around him but something about this one with this girl was different but Choonhee couldn’t put her finger on why. And then the woman was leaning down to face Choonhee where she said hi, hearing that she and Seonghwa had met or been together earlier made her surprised.

She decided to place her hand in the woman named Yuna’s hand and Choonhee smiled a little hearing that she liked her glasses. “I’m Choonhee! Hwa helped me pick them out!” Seonghwa watched the interaction between them with soft eyes but he took notice of Yuna’s friend sneaking away. He held his hand back out to Choonhee after she and Yuna were finished talking and Choonhee immediately held it again but her eyes were on Yuna who was apologizing about almost walking into him while fiddling with her hair in what must have been a nervous habit. However Yuna quickly switched gears again and grabbed his free hand examining it as she asked if he was fine and he chuckled. “I’m very fine, the bandages are holding up well.” After Yuna was satisfied with inspecting his hand she let go and turned while starting to say that she should probably leave; was Seonghwa’s assumption. Instead she stopped short and he noticed her body tense up, he noticed her arms tense and he saw her fists clenched and he frowned a little. Choonhee noticed the strange reaction too and frowned, she wiggled her arm connected to Seonghwa to get his attention and when he looked down at her she frowned more while looking at Yuna.

Seonghwa nodded silently echoing Choonhee’s worry and then Yuna was turning back to face them as she spoke about needing to go before it gets too late. Before Seonghwa could say anything Choonhee spoke up about having dinner with them and then how he could walk her home afterwards. Yuna looked understandably shocked but Seonghwa smiled as the woman glanced between him and Choonhee before slowly agreeing and Choonhee smiled brightly. The three of them began to walk Choonhee slipping her other hand into Yuna’s with a bright smile to the older girl. Silence settled for a few minutes before Choonhee couldn’t take it anymore and she just had to ask Yuna some more questions though most importantly were the ones about her soulmate. “Have you met your soulmate yet?” She asked excitedly and when Yuna explained that she hadn’t Choonhee was more happy. “What about your soulmate mark?” Choonhee couldn’t help but ask and once it was out of her mouth Seonghwa frowned. “Choonhee that’s personal. You don’t have to answer that Yuna.” Choonhee puffed up her cheeks with a huff but that quickly left her as Yuna explained her soulmate mark anyways.

Seonghwa was quite surprised by Yuna sharing her soulmate mark and was even more surprised that she felt his pain and that he was always hurt. He frowned thinking maybe her soulmate was one of the fighters in the underground ring and wondered if he could have been the one to cause her soulmate pain before. Choonhee was bouncing between them as they walked and Seonghwa and Yuna were able to talk as Choonhee just listened while she bounced. They arrived at the house soon after and Seonghwa gave Choonhee her backpack and she showed Yuna all around the house while Seonghwa started on something for the three of them to eat. They sat down to eat together and it was nice actually, Choonhee was clearly happy as she hummed while she ate, causing Seonghwa to smile and pet the top of her head. “I’ll go get ready for bed Hwa!” Choonhee announced as she got down from her chair after they were finished eating, Seonghwa chuckling as she ran off to her room.

Yuna helped him clean up and wash the dishes where she thanked him for dinner and he smiled. “No problem. It wasn’t much but hopefully it was filling and tasted good.” He had only ever cooked for himself and Choonhe, and once San and Wooyoung had come over which had been a disaster. He smiled more hearing that dinner was really good as she took a step towards him which caught his attention and then she was talking about how she’d find a way to repay him which made him raise an eyebrow. And then she was saying she should go and she would be fine and for him to focus on Choonhee which made him narrow his eyes slightly as she headed to the door. He wiped his hands off following after her watching as she was about to put her shoes on before he reached out grabbing her arm gently as he brought her back into the living room. “I already said I’ll walk you home and if you give without saying goodbye to Choonhee she’ll be sad.” He quickly explained before gently tugging her down the hallway to Choonhee’s room where she was laying on her bed under the covers watching some tv.

“Butterfly.” Seonghwa called out and Choonhee looked over smiling brightly at him and Yuna in the doorway. “Are you leaving now, Yuna?” Choonhee asked curiously as she sat up in her bed. When Yuna said yes Choonhee got out of her bed and ran over on her small legs hugging Yuna’s as she smiled brightly back up at her. “Hwa will get you home safe and sound. Please come back to see us soon!” Choonhee says while letting go of her and pinning Seonghwa with a stern look. “You make sure Yuna gets home safe, okay Hwa!” Choonhee said with a pout and Seonghwa saluted her playfully. “Yes butterfly. You know how to use the phone, you know uncle woo and uncle san’s numbers by heart right?” Seonghwa asked Kneeling down to face Choonhee who smiled and nodded. “Yep! I know uncle and san and uncle woo’s number but always call uncle san first because he’s the responsible one!” Choonhee exclaimed, which made Seonghwa chuckle as he picked her up and put her back into bed tucking her in. “I’ll be back as soon as I get Yuna home safely. Don’t stay up and wait for me.” Seonghwa says while leaning down to give Choonhee a kiss on her forehead. “Okay Hwa, be safe. I love you.” She whispers to him and he chuckles again as he smiles at her. “I will be safe, I promise. I love you too. Goodnight butterfly.” He said while standing up and making his way back to where Yuna was at the door.

They get their shoes on and walk out, Seunghwa locking the door behind them and then they start walking. Yuna leads the way as Seonghwa puts his hands in his pockets as he walks beside her, his mind going back to the way she reacted before. He was dying to ask why but figured it wasn’t any of his business yet if at all, instead he decided to ask her about exchanging numbers. “Yuna.” He called out softly to get her attention and when he had it he smiled, pulling his phone from his pocket and handing it over to her. “Could I get your number?” He asked and then made sure to clarify why. “Choonhee already said she’d like to see you again and this way you can text or call me anytime, whether it's to come hang out with Choonhee and I or if its because you need someone to walk you home at night.” He said with a gentle smile. “This way you’ll always have a way to get a hold of me for any reason.” She took it, putting in her number and when she handed it back to him he sent her a text listening as her phone went off.

After a little while more they were walking up to an apartment complex and while he could have just left her at the front of the building he followed her in. When she looked at him confused he chuckled. “I told Choonhee I’d get you home safe. Dropping you in front of the building is not home.” He told her as they rode the elevator up to the floor her apartment was on and he stood as she unlocked the door and went inside. “You’re home safe. Don’t be a stranger Yuna, though maybe don’t show up at the fights anymore. They aren’t safe for someone like you. I’m only a phone call or text away if you need me.” He said with a smile before he turned around to head back home. “Also, don’t even think about trying to repay me for anything. You bandaged me up and took care of me at the fights earlier. Consider us even.” He said as he turned around to face Yuna in the doorway again as he walked backwards for a few steps. “Goodnight Yuna.” He said as he turned around and instead of waiting for the elevator he went down the stairs eager to get back home to Choonhee.

                                                                          Quote:

Eunji woke up slowly as Eunae climbed into bed with her, she smiled at her little sister and wrapped her in the blanket as they laid their listening to her dad trying to get Eunseong up and out of bed. “Eunseong come on get up! It’s time to get ready for school.” “Idunwanna!” “I know you don’t kiddo but you have to come on.” Eunae giggles and peeks her head up over the blanket as they hear movement in the hallway and a knock echoes on her door. “Eunji is Eunae awake?” “Yeah she’s awake. I’ll get her ready for school.” Eunji said with a smile at her little sister who beamed up at her. “Thank you!” Her father called out his footsteps rushing off, probably to go after Eunseong again. He might have been older than Eunae but he was not a morning person so she was definitely easier to deal with. The two girls got out of the bed, they shared a room in their small house anyways so it was easy. They went to the closet they shared and looked around a bit and once Eunae picked out a dress for the day Eunji helped her out before brushing and doing her hair for her. Eunae went to eat breakfast while Eunji got ready for the day. She picked a cute but unassuming skirt with a nice white short sleeve button up shirt and a cute light-weight sweater vest. She paired it with knee high socks and some tennis shoes since she’d be walking to college after taking the kids to school.

She joined the family for breakfast and the three siblings brushed their teeth together, Eunseong jostling Eunji playfully. Their parents drove off to work soon after and the kids started the walk to school. Eunae was sent off first and then Eunseong and finally Eunji was able to make it to college just in time for her first class. Not that she would miss it. She joined one of her friends that had class with her and smiled. They talked a little bit before the teacher came in and started class. Eunji’s day was pretty much uneventful as she spent it doing classwork, taking notes and making sure to keep detailed track of what she needed to do that night after she got home. In a class right before lunch they had a new subject brought up by the teacher. It was a slightly more difficult one to understand but Eunji already knew about it. She knew that her friend’s however would probably have a hard time understanding and was already mentally setting time aside to tutor them. When the bell rang and they walked down the hall being some of the other girls from class they ended up overhearing some of their conversation.

“I have no idea what that teacher was talking about, did you?” “Not at all, it sounded so complicated if I’m not careful I might fail this class.” “Ugh I know how you feel, this is such a huge part of our grade I can’t afford to fail it either.” “Well Eunji already knows all about this she could probably teach you.” Her friend speaks up to the group of four in front of them who stop and turn to look at them in surprise. “Sorry! We weren’t listening, we just happened to be behind you and we overheard.” Eunji explained quickly not wanting there to be a misunderstanding. “These halls are small anyways.” One of the girls says with a laugh. “Do you mean it? Could you help tutor us Eunji?” A second girl asked, looking hopeful. “Yeah I could, I learned about this over summer actually with my tutor.” Eunji explains with a smile. “You’re a lifesaver Eunji, here's my number. I’ll create a group chat for everyone and we’ll make plans.” Another girl said, handing Eunji a piece of paper with her number written on it. “Okay. I can’t wait. See you later.” Eunji said with a wave as the girls turned around and left. “Why do you think she had a piece of paper with her number on it already in her purse?” Her friend asked, sounding confused.

“Probably so that she could give it to any guy she thought was cute.” Eunji explained linking arms with her friend and leading the way to the lunch room where their friends were waiting for them. “That’s so smart!” Her friend exclaimed which made Eunji laugh as they sat down. During lunch the group chat was made and plans for a tutoring session that night were created, Eunji making sure it was a good night for her parents, which it would be. Her mom would be home in time to keep an eye on the kids while her father did have to work late. The rest of her day was pretty normal but in the back of her mind she was making a mental note of what order to teach the girls this new concept. Once the day ended she met up with the other girls at the front of the college and they made their way to one of the girls houses, the neighborhood was a little run down and a little spooky in Eunji’s opinion. They went inside the small place as they sat in the living room and Eunji got started, it was clear this would definitely take a couple of sessions for most of them but Eunji was used to that with her own friends who usually got distracted and fooled around a bit.

They had plenty of snacks and drinks and learning did get done however Eunji was pretty sure by the end of the session that none of them remembered a single thing she had taught and explained to them. A smile was on her face as she left though, it had been fun and she didn’t get much time for making new friends if that was even what this would turn out to be. “I’ve got to head this way, is anyone else going?” Eunji asked really not wanting to walk alone on these streets back to her place. But no one did, offering smiles but they shook their heads. “I can walk with you Eunji.” Her friend offered but Eunji smiled and shook her head. “Your house is in the opposite direction, silly. Go home. I’ll be fine~” She said with a smile before turning on her heel and walking. Night was falling on the mostly empty streets as she pulled her phone out to text her family and see if they needed anything. No surprise Eunseong said that he wanted ice cream for after dinner, Eunji smiled laughing a little as Eunae joined in asking for her favorite as well. When her mother replied saying they needed some things for dinner if she could get them it was decided.

Seeing the nearest convenience store she stopped in to see if they might have any of the items her family needed and upon finding them she put them on the counter adding in her sibling’s favorite snacks to the pile. “I’ve never seen you around here.” The cashier said with a smile that made Eunji uncomfortable. “I’m not from around here.” Eunji said politely. “Really? What brings a girl like you to this side of town then?” He asked while leaning over the counter instead of scanning her items and she backed up a bit so that he wouldn’t be in her space. “I was tutoring some classmates. Can you scan my items? I really need to get home.” Eunji urged and he smiled and something about it put her on edge. “A pretty girl like you shouldn’t be walking alone at this time of night in this neighborhood. If you wait about 20 minutes my shift will be over and I can make sure you get home safely.” He said while scanning her items and putting them into a bag before he set them behind the counter. “That’s nice and all but I have to get home now. The total and my bag please?” Eunji asked, starting to get really annoyed by this guy.

                                                                          Quote:

Yeosang woke up listening to his step mom rouse his younger sister’s he laid in bed listening with a small smile. They might not have been his sisters but they really changed his life the minute they came into it. Frantic knocking on his door made him sit up as a young voice called out to him in a hurry. “Sangie, it's time to wake up and get ready!” Soomin yelled at him through the door making him chuckle as he ran a hand through his hair with a yawn. “I’m awake you little monkey.” Giggling through the door was heard and then little feet as they ran down the wooden floor of the hallway. He smiled, shaking his head as he got up and got dressed for his college classes, despite past shoplifting and his current rather shady job he did want to make an honest living. A large part of that thought process probably came to be because of the two little girls sitting at the table watching him as he made his way into the kitchen joining them. “You shouldn’t have waited for me!” He scolds but the two girls just grin at him cheekily and he pinched Chanmi softly on the cheek since she was the closest to him and she stuck her tongue out at him as she pouted once he had let go.

They had breakfast, his father already gone to work leaving just him and the girls but Yeosang didn’t mind. His mom was always sweet and caring to him, while she didn’t exactly like his current job she never judged him for it especially when she found out he had been caught shoplifting once. Not many people would react as graciously as she had, she sat him down and just talked to him and wanted to know why he had done it and the same thing happened when she found out about him working in the underground fighting ring. She had never judged him and only ever accepted him at his word, she reacted better than his dad had when he found out about both things. The memory of that made him smile as he waved at the woman and two girls walking to school, she walked them to school every day before she headed off to the shop she worked in. Yeosang had told her plenty of times that he could walk the girls to school but she insisted that she liked doing it.

He made his way to college, just another student during the day. His major he had decided on was business, he had the gift of gab thanks to his birth mother. He figured he had the skill set so why not put it to good use, doing what exactly he wasn’t sure but he did know that he wanted it to be in a lucrative business so that he could make money. Sure he liked money for himself but he wasn’t completely selfish, he wanted to be able to support his father and mother and his two sisters in the future. And if he was lucky enough to meet his soulmate in his lifetime he wanted to be able to give her things as well, something physical to show his affection. His classes were about the same as usual, moderately boring and enough to make him yawn but he paid attention as needed. He had school ‘friends’ but he held them at arms length seeing as they weren’t the kind of people he actually counted as friends. His real friends were people like Seonghwa and Jinsol from the fighting ring, they were all good people who did the things they had to do to live for whatever various reasons.

His boring school day was finally over, he made his way downtown to the warehouses and slipped into the one used for the underground fight ring. He was early as was usual for him since he did organize the fights every night, he was sitting down on one of the chairs looking through his list of the fighters for the evening while making sure everything was set up already. When Jinsol showed up he smiled at her, giving her a wink like he usually did and only after she was finished starting her part for the day did he approach her. “How was your day without me?” He teased lightly. They flirted every night since she started working here and it was just what they did, it was what felt normal and right. Yeosang never questioned it. “My day? It was boring, I could have fallen asleep but the only thing that kept me going was the thought of seeing your beautiful face tonight.” He said while reaching up to caress her cheek softly with his thumb. The two of them flirted like they usually did as the fighters started to show up and a few of them were waiting to talk to Yeosang or to Jinsol. “Ahem!” One of the fighters loudly exclaimed annoyance in his voice.

“Can’t you see we’re talking?” Yeosang asked, finally taking his eyes off Jinsol and narrowing them into a glare at the man. “Yeah well I’ve got business to discuss with Jinsol.” He huffed puffing up. “Yeah and you can wait until we’re done just like everyone else.” Yeosang spit out before turning to look at Jinsol. “You aren’t even her type so don’t think you’ve got a chance.” He said with a smug look at the man before turning his attention to Jinsol. “As much as I’d like to take up the rest of your night I should get back to work and so should you, beautiful.” He told her with a wink before he moved off to let her work. They did the usual thing, Yeosang spoke with Seonghwa a bit like he usually would though refrained from asking too many questions about the pink haired girl that had been with him the night before. As the night was ramping down fighters came up to him and let them know if they were free for the next night, he made a list of times and names for the fighters. The fighters left as they collected their money from Jinsol and then only a few people were left, the clean up crew, himself and Jinsol.

He makes his way over to Jinsol with a charming smile, stopping to stand with her as she finishes what she was doing before giving him her full attention. “Let me walk you home.” He offered and hoped that she would let him, it really was late and pretty girls like her shouldn’t be on their own. Though it wasn’t because he assumed she couldn’t take care of herself, he would just feel better knowing he had made sure she had in fact gotten home safely.

                                                                          Quote:

And then her hand was in his and his heart thudded in his chest, he felt whole as their fingers laced together as she answered his other question. He nodded his head along excitedly as she asked if he could show her around later and answer some of her questions. The smile that crossed his face upon hearing that she had been curious about the other creatures was full of adoration. How could he be so lucky to land someone like her? “Absolutely. I’ll answer all your questions the best I can.” He answered verbally having almost forgotten how to do that, struck by just how much he loved her. All too soon they arrived at her first class and his heart sank knowing that his time with her was finished, he just wanted to stay with her and wrap her securely in his arms but he couldn’t. She asked if she would see him after class and he nodded his head quickly, fast enough that he probably looked like he was hyped up on sugar or something but he was just that excited. “Yes, of course I’ll be here waiting for you.” Her lips were soft as the petals of a flower as she pressed them to his cheek, his jaw dropping open in surprise and then she was walking into class.

Chanyeol felt like he was floating on his way to class and when he arrived Sehun ragging on him didn’t change a thing. In fact Chanyeol was barely listening. The only snippets of Sehun’s words he caught was that Chanyeol looked like a lovesick puppy and he couldn’t even find it in himself to get mad. He was a lovesick puppy. Classes were always a little hard for him, he was usually bored easily and long lectures and talking made him lose interest. Tedious notetaking was probably the worst as he got lost very quickly but his attention levels had plummeted now that he had a connection with Chaeyoung. The thought of his beautiful fairy soulmate brough a dumb lovesick smile to his face, which Sehun quickly noticed and punched him in the arm to bring him back down to earth. After what felt like ages he was finally finished with his class, he quickly stood up and rushed out of the room ignoring Sehun who was calling after him. He made it outside Chaeyoung’s door where he left her just a little while ago and waited, fidgeting as he did so. He wanted to just go into her classroom and wrap around her to be close to her again but he kept himself from doing that; for now at least.

The moment he saw her vivid pink hair he grinned in excitement and was happy to find her making her way to him hurriedly. She wrapped her arms around him and he laughed full of joy and love for this woman as he quickly wrapped his own around her pulling her closer to him. This was home for him. Right here in her arms. The boys and Jojo had been home for a long time but it wasn’t like how this felt, Chaeyoung was his other half and it was just different. He now understood why Jojo was always itching to ditch them to go see Hanse, the soulmate pull wanted you with your soulmate all the time. He was even happier when Chaeyoung admitted that she had a hard time focusing in class because of him. “I could barely focus in my class. All I wanted was to be with you instead.” He told her with a smile, there was no reason to hide or feel ashamed about this. It would take some getting used to for the both of them but this was right. She told him where her next class was and he walked with her before going to his own classes. His day was spent like this. He was just unbelievably happy that he could spend this extra time between classes with Chaeyoung

Chanyeol expected his friends to be annoying when they saw the two of them walking together along the campus instead they left them alone to spend time together. The last class was finally here and he rushed out of his seat barely grabbing his things before he was waiting at Chaeyoung’s door for her. The moment she saw him she joined him while slipping her hand into his and he smiled marveling at just how quickly they had slipped into each other’s presence. “Where should we start?” He asked curiously and then laughed, of course starting at her dorm was the best place as she handed over her bag and he hoisted it over his shoulder easily. While they walked along the paths hand in hand he couldn’t help but let his thoughts drift to just a few short years ago when everything was different. He thought back to Jojo and Hanse remembering that it took a while before they could meet and Chanyeol couldn’t imagine how hard that was for them. And then once they had they had to continue sneaking around because of the segregation that was going on at the time. If it wasn’t for them and Seongwoo and Jaeeun this campus would be very different and he would have never met his mate.

They arrived at her dorm and he handed her bag back to her watching with a smile as she ran off inside the building, he slipped his hand into his pocket while his other one ran through his hair. When Chaeyoung joined him again she slipped her hand back into his with a smile and her smile made him smile. It was the simplest of contacts and it filled his chest with such joy. Chanyeol took her on a tour of the campus pointing out places he knew while telling her all about the segregation they had been dealing with. He told her about how a group of people in the school had largely changed that but he kept that to himself not knowing if Jojo would mind. Everyone who had already been here when it happened had already given all the people involved thanks, most of them anyways some of the witches still weren’t too happy about it but who cared about most of them. Chanyeol smiled as Chaeyoung said it was crazy and that if things hadn’t changed she wouldn’t have been able to do this and her wish wouldn’t have come true. “What wish?” He asked curiously wanting to know what she had wanted the most.

                                                                          Quote:
