On days like these, when the weather was nice and there was no school to worry about, it was so easy to sleep in. Unfortunately though, Sebastian still had obligations to attend too even with the semester ending over a week ago. He was just about packed and ready to go to meet his colleagues for their film festival project, when suddenly his phone began to go off in his pocket. At first he simply ignored it, he wasn't necessarily running late, but the subway systems here in New York were always hit or miss. The last thing he wanted to do was show up late for something so important. If things went well with this spring contest, and they won, this would allow his name to be sent out to a lot of different agencies looking for golden rookies like him.
Although, the ringing just wouldn't stop, so he hastily answered it on his way, kicking his dorm door shut with his ankle as his arms were completely full at this point. "Hello?" he answered without checking the caller ID as he was rushing down the staircase and towards the exit. "Oh? Hey, dad, what's up?" Sebastian's tone was very causal, but he caught on quickly that his father's hardly matched.
Carefully he slowed down, paying more attention to the phone call itself, than the foot traffic cascading all around him. "No, I haven't talked to Alex in weeks. Is there something wrong?" There was tone of hesitation in his voice, because the last time his little brother was brought up so suddenly like this, he found out that he had collapsed due to a cocaine overdose. "She's what?" he asked a little too loudly for comfort, allowing the people around him to give him odd stares as they passed by him. "And he did what now?" It was as if he was hard of hearing, but Sebastian just couldn't simply believe how incredibly irresponsible his brother was acting. He really thought things were going to get better, with how things ended at the cabin and how, as far as he was aware, Alex was keeping his head down and doing well in school according to his father during a brief phone call he had with him last month. "Yeah, yes. I'll call him and see what I can do," last night was starting to make a whole lot of sense.
After the phone call he had with Alexander, he was left but nothing to do but stare at the phone incredulously. He simply tried to push it from his mind, try and call again in a few hours, but he couldn't help this raw itch of worry running through his body as he road the line further into the city. He had easily sent him a couple hundred dollars, but nobody could live off that for very long. Sebastian honestly would have sent him more, even though he really didn't have all that much, if he would have just talked to him last night. At least enough until he was able to get Alexander to go back home. Even though there was no point in conversation, did his father say that he wanted him back, but they surely wouldn't permanently kick him out out if he just apologized, right? Sebastian was sure he could have been a better peace maker if he would have been back at home, rather than in New York. All these possibilities ran through his head, and he was usually an optimistic person but Alexander's track record had him on edge.
It took forty minutes for the cart to pull into the next station, and soon as the doors opened, Sebastian pulled out his phone. There was nothing to show for it, and at this point he was positive that Alexander was ignoring his calls. A small sigh escaped his lips as he made sure to move out of the rush of foot traffic, and began to call him again; over and over. It wasn't until the fourth call did he jolt off the wall he was leaning against in some sort of anticipation. "Alex, hey, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I'm just really concerned—" the words died out on his tongue when he finally realized that he wasn't speaking to his brother. Quickly he pulled the phone away, to check and see if he had called the right number, before bringing it back. He couldn't help but suddenly feel even more concerned over the fact that Alexander wasn't answering himself. So he asked carefully, "Is everything okay?" When she responded he nodded his head as if she could see him standing there all the way on the other side of the country. "I just got off the phone with him a while ago and we argued over the money I sent for you guys." His eye brows furrowed at the cluelessness carried in her voice, and then it suddenly hit him; she didn't know. "Last night he called me in a panic and asked me to send him over some money. He sounded like he was in trouble so I just sent it to him." After saying it out loud, he understood how stupid he sounded but he knew his intentions were from a good place.
Silence began to fill in the spaces, leaving the phone call with the loud static of the New York city life between them. Sebastian gave her one second longer to say something, anything at all, before he asked, "I—Do you guys have a plan? I don't care what it is, I just need to know the you two are going to be okay." In the end, he couldn't tell Alexander what to do anymore, especially not with being so far away. He really began to wish that he had been a little more careful with the situation in the first place, but he was so overwhelmed by how little care Alexander had with his own decisions as late. Now all he could do was provide as much support as he could, with as little as he had, and listen as Bonnie confided in him. It provided a little bit of relief so he offered reassuringly, "If you guys need anything else, call me. I'm here for the both of you," before he hanging up. Sebastian walked away from that subway station with the hopes that, what ever Bonnie had in store for herself and his little brother, worked out for them.

Things have been normal, or as normal as things could be in his particular situation. It was kind of weird to be honest: going from having shelter, to being homeless, to owning their very own townhouse in such a short amount of time. Alexander couldn't complain though, be cause he was definitely appreciative and grateful for the new circumstances. The biggest overall change though was the fact that they actually had to live with each other now. It was one thing to see your significant other everyday, which Alexander and Bonnie mostly did when she was living in Colorado, but at the end of the day they went their separate ways. Not to say that Alexander was already dreading this time together, it was just different and he was finding himself experiencing anxiety being with her, and even more when he was without. When ever he was at school, he couldn't help but worry about what she was up too and surely kept tabs on her throughout the day by asking what she was doing consistently. The fear coming from the fact that she kept doing things that weren't necessarily dangerous, but Alexander's paranoid self couldn't help but worry now that she was caring their baby. To say the least, he was becoming overbearing and refused to let her do menial tasks but it was all coming from a good place in his heart. At this rate, he was sure that he would sprout grey hairs within the next year and gain more yearly, if he was already stressed with Baby Bandit simply being in her stomach.
It had been a solid month of this routine, which lead to a lot of different changes that he never expected to happen in between that time. One of them being the day that Jackson asked him to hang out, out of the blue. At that point he hadn't seen him in weeks, but they texted ever so often in between when something had come up. So when Jackson broke the news to him and finally told him about his move to Greece, now that he was officially through with his training, Alexander's heart shattered. He had been suspicious of why Jackson had been so distant as of late, and it was suddenly all making sense. According to his best friend, he was to leave in three weeks, and Alexander couldn't help this feeling of abandonment and betrayal. It felt like he was going through a nasty break up, and in a sense he sort of was.
Now that his party was today, he had no desire to go because he couldn't help but as himself, what even was the point if Jackson felt the need to leave him like he was? The only reason he had gotten dressed and entertained the idea was because of the phone call he had received two days prior from Sebastian. Alexander felt that it was kind of weird that his brother was so set on him going, even though Sebastian wasn't even going himself since he was staying in New York for the break. So he listened to him patiently and quietly, but before he had managed to find an excuse to get off the phone, Sebastian reminded him, "You'll regret not sending him off, Alex. He's your best friend." That night, for the first time in a while, the thought of Asher crossed his mind and how easily they had fallen out. He suddenly had to ask himself if he was so willing to do so with Jackson as well.
As always Alex was caught up in his mind, having second thoughts and all of that, now that he was actually dressed and ready to go. He had been fidgeting all evening, finding small ways to keep himself busy as B finished getting ready, but nothing was helping much. At this point Alexander was so on edge, he nearly jumped when Bonnie had come up to him asking if he was ready to get going. "B, if he's willing to drop everything and just leave then why should we even go?" He asked with an underlying layer of anger, settling into his tone, as he wrapped his arms around her. He tried to mask the level of betrayal in his voice as he looked down at his girlfriend with soft pleading eyes. As bad as it was, Alexander kept telling himself that if Bonnie said that they couldn't go then ultimately it wouldn't have been his choice and he couldn't regret anything at all, as Sebastian claimed that he would. Unfortunately, that's not how it worked out, "You need to go so he knows that you're not just ditching him as a friend, when he is literally dong something he's scared of." To say the least, he wasn't expecting that sort of response, and it made him feel some sort of guilt. Alexander ignored it by throwing his head back and groaning like a petulant child. The only thing that could do to make it any worse, would be to stop his foot, but he decided it against it. Instead he grabbed Bonnie's hand, knowing that her word was law, and walked them out.
The entire drive over Alexander could only think, "If I just say my goodbyes or whatever quickly, we can go home sooner," but he kept this thought to himself. He hardly wanted Bonnie to think that he was doing any of this halfway, in the fear that she might force him to do it a bit more sincere. He figured that she wouldn't want to stay longer anyway now that she was at the five, almost six months mark, of her pregnancy. There was no need to give her any ideas, but the only problem was that he didn't exactly know how to devise his plan. Alexander didn't exactly know how he was going to get himself to say all those things to Jackson, when he didn't know if he necessarily wanted to see him at all.
In the moment, arriving at Jackson's house felt like an incoming storm, but the clouds began to part a little when he heard familiar voices. He graced them with a smile as they walked up as he was being surrounded by people he actually didn't mind seeing. The grin only widened when Courtney and Bonnie began to go at it. Alexander had been trying to get the two reconcile since he found out that they were having problems, but he never pushed to hard on the matter. A large part of him told him that it was none of his business, and that they were sisters and they would work it out eventually. It happened to him and Sebastian all the time when they were young, and now that they were older it happened less frequently. As Bonnie and Courtney were still fresh as being siblings, he figured it would just take them longer to get to where he and his brother were at. A smaller part, much more guilty, part of him told him not to get involved because he knew that it would probably get compared to the way he was treating Jackson, and he didn't want that to be brought up in any way, shape, or form. That was his burden to bury, on his own, and he really wished people would stop trying to help.
It had been months since he had felt this carefree, and it felt like they were all back in high school just chatting away in between periods or at another house party held on a weekend. Alexander simply took in the familiarity of the situation and basked in the normalcy of it all. When Court snapped up his attention he simply shrugged, knowing she could handle herself. If it would have been anyone else he cared for, he probably would have been a little more detailed and expressive of his worries. They weren't in high school anymore, and Alex didn't feel the need to bad mouth anyone. It would do nothing for him or anyone else, so there was just no point. He had bigger things to worry about anyway, so he simply warned her. "Everyone here is pretty cool, but if you plan on hooking up with anyone just be careful," the implication of the use of a condom weighing heavily in the sentence. If anyone knew these people it would be Alex as he had been friends, or a loose version of the term, since early high school and one thing was for sure: these kids were filthy. He knew that they were in and out of girls as if doing so would win them some sort of price at the end of the year for most hook ups. The thought made him internally shiver as he used to be a much more mild form of one of them.
The timing couldn't have been any more perfect as he reached into his pocket and fished out his keys for Bonnie, relieving him of driving duties. "The favorite uncle is here, how's my little princess?" Alexander watched closely as he lean't in to hug Bonnie first and then gently touched her belly. This was the first time Jackson was seeing it in person, and he couldn't help the tick of irritation that came over him. He immediately ticked his head to the side and locked his jaw firmly due to his discomfort, but the words still managed to fall out of his mouth. "I'm pretty sure that's Seb's title, but what ever," he said coarsely and with a sense of finality. It was then that he decided he wasn't ready for all of this, so he looked over at Bonnie and kissed her cheek. "I'm going to get something to drink, I'll find you," he announced before walking away, without any further warning. When he had first agreed to come to this party, he knew he was going to have to have a couple of drinks to get through it, but he really didn't think he would be starting this early.

The windows dripped from the condensation as their ragged breathing filled the emptiness and silence of the car. Kai couldn't help but dip her head into the crook of his neck as she thoroughly spent, leaving soft kisses along his jawline in appreciation. She could have basked in this moment for longer, but it seemed that Jason had other plans as she felt a sudden stinging at her scalp. A soft whine escaped from her lips, but transitioned in a moan when he silenced her with his lips. Kaidence felt like she was drowning, particular in him, but she didn't necessarily want to swim and save herself either. A huge part of her knew that this was a problem, she always told herself to never get attached, but she simply couldn't help herself; there was something intoxicating about Jason. "Any time, handsome." She was left with barely any time to get the words out, as she was quickly shoved off his lap. The careless nature usually wouldn't have bothered her, Kai was used to these sort of things, but a sudden wave of emptiness hit her right in the pit of her stomach. A slight frown formed on he face as she wordlessly pulled her dress back down past her hips and smoothed her hair down a bit, before leaning in and whispering, "Any where and every where." Kai softly bit as his ear, knowing very well two could play at the teasing game. The only problem was, Jason was better at it.
When the two finally pulled up to the party Kaidence took the time to reach into her purse and pull out her makeup bag. It seemed that Jason wasn't much in a hurry to get out any way, so she decided to take her time. She flipped down the visor and got to work, cleaning up any messy spots thanks to Jason's wandering lips. A small purple and pink spot was already beginning to bloom on the left side of her neck, and she couldn't help but smile at the claim. Just as she was about to run her fingertips over it, Jason spoke to her and there was no hesitation with her words, "Yes, daddy." Honestly, Kaidence wanted to hop back into his lap, and make them even more late for the party, but she settled. Instead she quietly touched up her eyeliner and lipstick, minding her own business as to what kind of drugs Jason was blatantly pulling out. She always knew what kind of side hustle he had, but it really didn't bother her. It wasn't hurting her, and if anything it was more money he was able to spend on her.
The music was loud and booming through the speakers, when they finally decided to make their fashionably late entrance. Kai shuffled through the crowd, following Jason to a group of familiar faces. As soon as they walked up, it was if Jason was on a stage and he commanded their attention, to which they easily fell in line for him. The conversation was easy going, talking about the usual, who hooked up with who, but Kai didn't have much say on the matter. If she was being honest, it had only been Jason since that night on New Years Eve. She wasn't too sure if she could say the same for him, but at this point, she didn't care to know the answer. So instead of paying much attention, growing bored, she let her eyes wander through the crowd.
In seconds, as if her eyes were a magnet to his, she had accidentally made eye contact with Alex who was nearby filling up a red solo cup. Gently she smiled, and waved at him, and on queue he began to walk over to meet them. Kai didn't necessarily mean to call him over, he had been out of her life and their "world" for quiet sometime now, but she'd be lying if she said she didn't miss his friendship. "Hey, how have you been?" Everyone who followed him on social media knew how he had been: school and a baby on the way, but Kaidence wanted to steer clear asking any of those things directly. She simply couldn't imagine living life so boring and responsibly, and could only be thankful when he responded with a simple, "Busy, but good." The words seemed like an understatement to her, but she didn't care to ask and clarify, especially anything pertaining to Bonnie.
Even though they were still apart of the circle, they were having their own conversation. That was up until, the familiar smell of smoke wafted into her nose and she heard Aaron ask her, "You want to hit this, Kai?" She slowly turned her head into him, noticing he was little close but ignored the fact. Kaidence was used to boys being in her personal space, and Aaron was like any other boy who threw themselves at her feet. So she ignored it and grabbed the blunt, before taking a quick hit off it. As she let the smoke slip past her lips, she extended it back to him but he decided not to take it. "Aren't you going to offer some to Alex, here?" Everyone had heard about what happened to him at the end of last year. It was apparent he had a problem for a little while, leading up to it, and it seemed that Aaron had every intention on praying on that.
In all the time that Kaidence at Alex had spent together, four solid years in high school, she could read him like a book a now. She could see the discomfort written on his face, and before she could stop herself she blurted out, "No, he's good." Instead of trying to give it back to Aaron once more, she lean't forward and passed it to the person ahead of him. Immediately Aaron smiled and Kaidence knew all to well that nothing good would come from it. "Oh yeah, that's riiighhht. Alexander here can't handle his s**t any more." The young male erupted in laughter, which had the group following suit. Kaidence failed to laugh with them, feeling sorry for even making eye contact with Alexander in the first place. She remembered one thing though, that these where her people, and Alexander was her past, so she let up and placed a small smile on her face in faux agreement.

The study was quiet, aside from the insistent ticking of the clock behind him on the wall. Grey held his chin in his hand, deep in thought after today's events, when he noticed Kwon walk in. Momentarily he decided not to make eye contact, the longer he held out, the longer his thoughts wouldn't become a reality. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Kwon respectively keeping his distance in the corner. It was then that Grey let out a resistant sigh before he picked up his head and waved his hand at the seat directly across from him. "Sit." Slowly he leaned back into his chair, feeling the heavy exhaustion weighing in on his shoulders, even more so now that smell of rust was creeping into his nose due to the dry blood that still clung to his clothes. He knew that first thing tomorrow morning, the cleaners would have to come in and take care of all the spots left on the marble tiles and expensive rugs from their return.
"Go ahead, tell me what you know." Grey had been avoiding this conversation the entire night, although nothing seemed so important until this very moment. "Noelle's father is the one that called in for the bate." A questionable look formed on his face, as that didn't make any sense what so ever. For starters, Noelle's dad was supposed to be under watch at all times, how did that slip through? The mole had to be closer than they had thought; Grey was no starting to question the possibility of an inside job. Secondarily, why would he capture his own daughter and allow for her to be tortured? Now that he thought back to it, it did seem that Noelle received a much more mild form of torture in comparison to some of the forms his gang had practiced. "And Noelle's part in this?" There was hesitant part in him that didn't want to know but the bigger, mafia boss type leader in him, needed to know the truth. "That's the thing, sir. We don't know. It's very easy to assume that it was all a ruse and she''s been using us to help her father, but I can't state that it's factual" It was exactly what he didn't want to hear but the words hearing, "it's not factual" tacked on the end there gave him a little bit of room to breathe.
At this point Grey could feel a small pounding begin in his temples as he now had to weigh over his options. He stayed silent for short moment, wanting nothing more to massage away his stress, but he kept his hands in his lap instead. "Keep a close eye on her. Don't let her be alone for a second until we figure this out." He waved his hand dismissively once more, allowing Kwon to leave even though it looked like Kwon had much more to say. Grey closely watched him as he left, daring him to say more as he was on edge like this, but as expected Kwon made his exit quiet. "And Kwon, nobody touches her without coming to me first," he said with the sudden need to make things clear. In the event that Kwon's words did seem to be true, he wanted to be able to talk to her before anyone else.
When he was finally left to be alone, for the first time since this early morning, before things had gotten chaotic, he simply sat in uninterrupted silence. Grey took the moment of peace to softly rub at his temples and took in a deep breathe, not knowing how long this was going to last. It felt like the calm before the storm, and he knew that it was going to cause for another sleepiness night. Although, it wasn't like he sleep well at night anyway. So, deciding it didn't really matter, he got to his feet and walked back over to his room, hesitating when his hand touched the door knob. After everything that had happened tonight, his brain felt pretty clouded, and he had completely forgotten that he had taken her to his room for some privacy. Grey could only curse at himself for the poor decision, but he also knew that it was an easy problem to fix. He wouldn't allow her to take up his space and be in that close of a proximity in these circumstances.

The message was sent out as soon as he walked in and noticed that she was no where to be found. If he was being honest, a small part still wanted her to be on the other side of that door so he could have one more private moment with her, before everything was to change. But the bigger part of him, the smart leader in him, knew that it was for the best. Instead, Grey ignored the deep urge to walk down to her room and simply sat goodnight and headed straight for the shower. He already knew that he was going to have another restless night, so he decided the least he could do was make it as easy as possible for himself. The soiled mission clothe son the ground were tossed outside of this door, a signal for them to be thrown out and forgotten, before he crawled into bed after his shower.
The next morning he had woken up feeling sore all over, presumably from all the hand to hand combat in between the bullets shed after last night. A small grown escaped his lips as he pushed himself off the bed and decided to start his day. Now that he was sure that there their group was under more pressure than ever, with the mole being so close to home and Noelle's dad having some sort of part in this, he knew that he had his work cut out for him today. So as quickly as his body would let him, he got himself changed and headed downstairs to the kitchen. Grey decided that he would have his breakfast served in his study this morning so he could work and eat at the same time. Of course he could have just texted in the order and instructions, as he did most mornings, but he couldn't help the need to stall in the slightest. The idea of sitting there for a mind numbing amount of hours sounding tedious, and deep down, the possibility of finding out Noelle's bothered him. He couldn't place why, they had no affiliation aside from boss and grunt.
Instead he walked down the kitchen and was greeted outside the door by one of his men, "Good morning, Sir." Grey gave him a curt nod, finding it a little weird that a guard was just standing outside of the kitchen as he was, up until he walked inside. He was then followed in, which never happened as Grey shouldn't have the need to be protected in his own home, but he understand as he saw Noelle cooking for herself. Instead of saying anything upfront, trying to keep his distance for his own health, he gave her a small nod as well in a way of saying good morning. When he realized that the chef wasn't in yet, he looked over his shoulder to the person on guard and requested, "Send my breakfast up to my study." Grey shoved his hands into his pocket and took a small peak at Noelle, suddenly noticing the redness in her cheeks and eyes. He could feel his devises slipping before he quickly looked back over at the other male. "I won't be leaving it today," he said with a sense of finality before he walked out of the room and left the two by themselves.
The moment he walked into the study, he shut the door in some sort of "do not disturb" to which he knew everyone would clearly understand. Grey took a seat at his desk only to see paper work already placed in front of him, evidently waiting to be taken care of. He slowly flipped through them, deciding to read over it as he waited for his breakfast, instead of getting into something too consuming that would ruin his appetite right away. Just as he brushed the first page aside, he heard a soft knock at his door, to which he offhandedly replied, "Come in." Grey's eyes didn't leave his desk, as he assumed that it would finally be his meal but his eyes finally came up when the person waited quietly at the door. His eyebrow ticked up in irritation as he made eye contact with Kwon, silently warning that this had better be important because he was mean't to be on his own today. Kwon seemed to have understood and quickly spoke to ease the tension, "We know where Noelle's father is hiding." Suddenly Kwon had his undivided attention, as he moved the papers aside and leaned back into his chair. "Bring him back to the estate. I want nothing more than to torture the b*****d before I put a bullet through his head," he stated coldy, eyes never leaving Kwons. Grey was hell bent on making a point, to every single member in this household that no one was to come in and try their hand at taking down the Park empire. Once Noelle's father was taken care of, he could only hope that the coward would spill his truth in his last moments, and they would be that much closer to restoring some sort of order that was quickly slipping through Grey's fingertips.

When they had first set everything up for him to come out and help, Jackson continually offered to let him stay at his place claiming they had a guest bedroom and extra space, even up until the day he had flown out. Although, Peter didn't exactly know what kind of schedule he was going to be on, he had traveled all across the globe and he understood the struggles of a time change. The difference between Paris and Colorado was causing Peter to go from being a morning person, to a night person in the matter of days. He was sleeping far more often that he would have liked too, but it was hard when his days were completely flipped. Evenings, much like tonight, would be mornings over on the other side of the world. If he was being honest, he mostly missed being able to wake up and have a cup of coffee at sunrise, instead switching it out for an evening tea; it just wasn't the same. He could only keep telling himself that it would only be for a few more days.
Needless to say, that he didn't want to become a burden on Jackson or make him feel like he had to wait on him, especially with Jackson's day's here in Colorado dwindling at a rapid pace. So instead, he stayed out in a nice hotel a few miles out into the city with the idea of taking photos of a new place, in between moving days, becoming way too enticing. A few months prior, before any of this had been planned, he did say that he wanted a change of scenery and surroundings for his next portfolio. During his last trip to Colorado, it was short but sweet and even though he enjoyed his time with Jackson to the fullest and meeting his friends, he had never gotten the chance.
Initially he had flown out to help Jackson set up for their move to Greece together, but it landed him here at his going away party as well. Honestly, Peter wasn't the biggest party person, he was more of a sit at a cafe in a calm environment type person, but he wouldn't have missed Jackson's party for anything. So casually he had walked through the house, knowing where everything was at this point, in search of him. He wanted to make sure that he knew he was there before he had let him be for the night to enjoy the party, as Peter was sure that everyone would be grabbing for Jackson's attention. Peter knew very well that Jackson had always been a popular and easy to get along person, even as kids.
It seemed that the larger crowd was outside, presumably because it was getting close to summer, causing for nice weather. Peter politely pushed his way through the crowd of people, but not before asking "Have you seen Jackson?" to nearest person by the back door. It was too late to notice, until he had fully turned around to face Peter that he was in the middle of his own conversation and completely worked up about something. Peter honestly didn't care for the drama, he never had, but he waited around for a response on the off chance that he did actually have an idea of Jackson's whereabouts. "No, but when you find him, you should tell him that gay loser is here and ruining the vibe. Nobody wants to party with the cop's son." Peter's gaze followed the other male's as he nodded in the direction of the person he was talking about. Immediately a frown formed on his face as the guy in question was simply sitting outside minding his own business, not bothering a single person. If anything he seemed a little uncomfortable from the lack of companion, so Peter shook his head and took it upon himself. "Yeah? Well I might." He pushed past them, with a little more force than necessary, hearing a whispered, [******** homo's," quietly behind his back. As they laughed, Peter decided to ignore it. He didn't have time to waste on such closed minded people, especially one's that he had no intentions on seeing after tonight.
As he walked outside he lit up a cigarette, the first one since waking up no long ago, due to the fact that he was running late and there was no smoking in the rental. He took a deep relaxing drag as he walked up to the male and politely asked, "Mind if I sit here?" Peter quickly blew out the smoke, over his shoulder and away from John before taking up one of the many empty seats next to him. "I'm Peter, I feel like I've seen you around before. You're friends with Jackson and his close circle, right?" He gently tried to offer small talk, allowing him to give off a friendly vibe as if they were old friends in order to ease any tension, but no matter what, it still felt like John felt some sort of hesitance towards him being there.
For a short moment, he basked in the silence that he allowed to fall, and took the opportunity to enjoy the nice breeze that had fallen over the town now that the sun was final tucked away for the night. Peter took in a deep breathe, and decided to give it one more try and if John still didn't want him here then he would leave, if that's what he had wanted. He decided to go for the direct approach in the way that he ducked his head, to be level with him and catch his gaze before he stated, "I'm not here to bully you. I promise." He gave him a soothing smile, hoping he conveyed his truth and eased John's mind in the way that his eyes softened and glimmered with kindness. "Those other lads are losers. I don't think being gay, or whatever your preference is, should matter to anyone but yourself." Just because those guys inside said that he was gay didn't necessarily mean that was the truth, and Peter hardly wanted to assume. He had met many feminine men who had turned out to be straight and vice versa as he traveled around the world, but it seemed in those places it wasn't as big of deal as it was here.

If Asher was being completely honest, he had no business being at this party tonight. He wasn't necessarily invited, but with the amount of people crowded here made him firmly believe that half of these people weren't either. Before he had come here, he was at the record store, minding his own business and finishing up his shift. It was as he was locking up, did he receive a text from an old friend asking him to come. At first Asher was hesitant, not too sure, since he had sworn off of parties, ever since the traumatic experience with Alex months and months ago, but it was summer, and honestly, what could one more really hurt? So here he was, surrounded by a few familiar faces, chatting up a storm like the talkative and friendly person that he was. Everything had fallen back into place, as if he had never left Colorado in the first place, and he was rekindling old relationships at an extreme pace. Honestly, Asher couldn't lie and say that it didn't feel good or right because being without these people was the first obstacle when he was first rushed off to the other side of the country with no much of a warning. He missed them, all of them and it was nice to finally feel at home again.
A few hours into the party and things were always starting to get rowdy, but with about a hundred other wasted teenagers it was to be expected. As much as he wanted to stick around and watch the chaos unfold, the hour was starting to creep into the danger zone, risking his compliancy at work later on in the morning. So Asher said his goodbyes, told them he wouldn't be a stranger for much longer, and began to head out. He quickly made his way through the house and the front door, and was headed straight for his car, when he saw a shadow in the distance. Automatically he froze, keys in hands, when he watched at the body uneasily swayed in every which direction but upright. Evidently Asher knew that he really had to go, but the good in him knew that he would never be able to forgive himself if he had some how found out later on that this person ended up hurt.
Without any further doubt, he ran up to the person, just as he was about to stumble into the street, now absolutely sure that he had made the right decision. Asher quickly grabbed his shoulder, and gently pulled him back before asking, "Hey, you good?" It was blatantly obvious that this person wasn't but it was better to take a softer approach in an unsure situation. It seemed that precautions were correct at the other male lashed out at him, to which Asher took a small step back to give him some space. "No, I have not." He said as he raised his hands up in mock surround, before jingling his own keys in his raised palm. "But I do have mine. Let me give you a ride?" It would be easy to call him out and say that he would be too drunk to do it himself, but Asher knew people like him and how in doing so how it would only push their overly drawn ego to push for the worst. Instead of giving him any further option to do so, he verbally gave him a gentle push and nodded his head over in the direction of his car. "I'm parked over there." Without another word, Asher took off and began to walk in that direction, hoping his attempt would be successful. At least if it wasn't, he would be lucky enough to know that the other male couldn't find his keys and that was in everybody's best interest.

The resistance held in John's voice over his sexuality hadn't fallen on deaf ears, as he could feel the unsure nature of his statement. Peter couldn't help but feel for him, as a man who was sure and comfortable with his own. If he was being honest about his own preference, he would guess that he'd have it narrowed down to being bisexual. There was no doubt that had a heavier attraction to women, but he couldn't deny the fact and say that he didn't find certain men attractive as well. It took a bit of traveling and some drunk experimenting in European night clubs, in his earlier years, before he decided that he wouldn't be tied down to just one single gender, and that was okay. So he softly nodded at the statement, sure of his next words as he took another small drag off of his cigarette. He blew the smoke out over his shoulder, as he did the first time, before stubbing it out down by his Doc Martens and continuing his thought. "Well, John, how do you feel when I do this?" Slowly, in case there was any resistance as Peter was the king of consent, he leaned into the other male and softly molded their lips together. It was nothing heavy, something short of a lingering peck, allowing John to take the situation in without being overbearing. If there was more to give, then he would have allowed John, but it seemed that the peck was enough as Peter pulled away.
The moment was torn apart, and Peter failed to receive an answer, as a booming voice echoed through the property; demanding for attention. Immediately his eyes snapped up to the source, knowing that voice all to well, only to see Jackson's back facing him on top of the roof. "s**t, Jackson!" he shouted mostly to himself, as he jumped to his feet. This had "bad idea" written all over it, with that way that Jackson's words were beginning to slur and how his towering form was starting to waver up above. Peter didn't hesitate any further, and sprinted around, when he began to hear a crowd of people on the side of the house cheering for him. As he made his decent, he grabbed onto John's hand, in a silent attempt, to ask if he would come with him before pulling him along. Peter was hardly finished with their conversation, but his best friend was about to do something really unsafe and stupid so he had to think and prioritize.
As expected, half of the party's population were surrounding the edge of the pool and Peter had to politely push through the masses. "Jacks, buddy, come down. Come on, yeah?" he called out when he reached the other side, and was now directly below Jackson. When they locked eyes, Peter could feel himself let out a sigh of relief, thinking he had been successful in his attempt. He simply waited for Jackson to do as he asked, only to see a devilish grin grow across his best friends face. They had been friends for far too long, and Jackson had been making that face for as far back as Peter could remember. It was always a silent warning bell, that Jackson was about to be up to absolutely no good. And it still hadn't changed all these years later, "Peter! Check this out!" and there he went. Jackson sprinted across the roof, almost slipping as he did, causing Peter to wait with a bated breathe.
The splash was huge, due to Jackson's height as well as the distance of jumping, soaking anyone in a six foot radius. Peter's vision was slightly impaired due to the droplets that clung to his glasses, but he was more concerned about Jackson's well being. He stood there frozen, waiting for him to resurface as the water was still bubbling to heavy for him to even be recognizable. The moment his head popped out of the water he let out a small sigh of relief, as Jackson emerged with a raucous laughter. He took one step forward, with full intentions on checking him, as he knew that looks could be deceiving. Peter knew that Jackson could very well have bumps or bruises, or maybe even broken something, but would have been able to ignore until it was called to his attention from how far gone he now was. But before he was even give the chance, fully clothed teenagers pushed past him left and right, taking the initiative and diving in after the man of the hour; managing to turn a house party into a pool party in the matter of seconds.
When the chaos erupted around him, he took the time to clean all the water markings from his glasses as he momentarily waited it out. It wasn't until it finally calmed down, did he slide them back on and began to scan the water for Jackson. As soon as he found him, Peter couldn't help the smile that formed on his face. It seemed that his best friend had found some liquid courage, as he now had company and floated dangerous close to her. Peter was going to back away from the situation, it seemed that Jackson was well enough, but he suddenly heard shouting coming from people wanting Jackson to do it again. There was no doubt in his mind that he would, knowing the brunette would never refuse a challenge, but he also knew that it might not end the same way. It was then that Peter looked over his shoulder and over at John, "I have to take him inside. Might not be so luck next time." Without another word, he left the other male to go intervene.
"Jackson!" he called over the masses and, just like before, Jackson's eyes immediately found his. "Peter! Did you see that?" he said obviously referring to his jump, and all Peter could do was smile at how happy his best friend was. "Yeah, incredible!" Slowly he crouched down near the edge, suddenly having second thoughts, but he knew it was for the best. "But I think we should get you inside and cool off a bit." There was a small pout forming on Jackson's face, but he ultimately nodded leaving Peter feeling content. Right away he got to his feet and stepped back a bit, expectantly, so Jackson could make his way out.
