Lake Kindred efficiency guide for profit maximization

*Remember to play the game in platinum currency for its higher rewards

If you are a beginner or experienced player wondering what kindred to choose, how to optimize your time farming, leveling up or making a quick buck this is a guide for you!

This guide is focused on efficiency, it aims to answer beginner questions related to 4 major game goals: picking the best kindred, leveling up your kindred, leveling up your trainer level, making the most profit playing while also providing data for advanced players regarding profits per area Tree Killers power comparison and time efficiency of amulets.

The 4 Goals are interrelated, ones being conditions for the others and can be summarized in a simple 5 step list.

tab tab tab tab tab tab 1) Picking an efficient kin for farming, (but also picking any kin you like for fun!)

tab tab tab tab tab tab 2) Using optimal amulets

tab tab tab tab tab tab 3) Efficiently level your kindred

tab tab tab tab tab tab 4) Efficiently level up trainer level

tab tab tab tab tab tab 5) Pick the most profitable alternative to farm

This guide also provides information and references to answer profit questions about the best options to farm, rigs, capsules or watermelon patches and its trade-offs with statistics from 500 battles as well as a list of the most expensive rigs (done in mid-2024).

The information and data in the spoilers is complementary, sometimes meant for advanced players and can be skipped. The main content of the 5 steps is just a couple of paragraphs long each and in total should be a 10-15 min read.

Further information of different game aspects, simpler or more complete guides and materials that will compliment your knowledge of the game will be listed in the Appendix.

Step 1 Goal 1: Pick an efficient kindred for farming

The most powerful kindred are the best for farming because they win combats fast in One Hit Knock-Out (1H-KO) in most or all areas of the game, you can find most of them in Bazaar's Tree Killer list and Viperex Killer list. Those should be picked for efficient farming and the difference between Tree and Viperex Killers is that not all Tree-Killers can Kill Viperexes from Miasmal Lake Stage 5. (Reward differences are explained below).

While you can have two or more Tree Killers, just one is enough as stamina potions are inexpensive and it takes more than an hour to deplete the full stamina bar of a powerful Tree Killer.

What classifies a kin as a Tree/Viperex Killer is its combination of health and damage.
>Damage, we count only the skill that yields higher damage (there is no use for the wide move pool). This skill hit (H) is the one that should be spammed against bosses for consistent damage output. For opponents with low health, magic should be used instead of normal attack as the bar does not deplete easily.
>Health, our kin should be able to withstand one or more hits from the bosses having preferably over 700 health against Trees and over 900 against Viperexes.

Pick the kindred you like for fun!

Ultimately you should level any kin you like to obtain its accessory or just for fun even if it is not farming efficient. In our next step we discuss how to do it efficiently for all type of kindred with the use of potions.

Some kindred have very good rewards from leveling them up depending on the market conditions and price of the rigs. Examples of this are some of the Pegacorn Fluffs and Neptune the Seapony.

Rewards differences between Tree bosses (Kindred Wilds Stage 5) and Viperex bosses (Miasmal Lake Stage 5).

Sycamorte Tree bosses are more profitable than Viperex bosses when it comes platinum farming for the higher spawn rate of the Trees. The total profit from rewards however vary and is subject to market conditions, Viperexes have the more expensive drops "eye of Viperex" and "eye of Miasmal Viperex" and the capsules of Miasmal Lake tend to be more expensive having a slightly higher drop rate. Half of the profits from Miasmal Lake depend on Market Place prices which makes Kindred Wilds consistently more profitable unless you get lucky in Miasmal Lake, for this reason the benefit of a Viperex killer seems limited at the current time (mid 2024).

Types of Tree Killers and cost/benefit recommendations

Currently (2024) you should be able to afford a Kinegg-drop Tree killer (costing 35-40k or less) after doing all the dailies. If you do the dailies and farm you should be able to obtain a cheap Viperex Killer/High Tier Tree killer (costing 200-400k) that is limited time Rig-Obtainable in less than a week.

Kinegg-drop Tree killers:

The kindred that you can obtain while playing the game as a kinegg drops and boss drops tend to be the best cost/benefit options. Kinegg-drop and Boss-drop Tree killers are easier to find in the MP at cheaper prices.

Sakura Pegacorn Fluff (moderately expensive), and Miasmal Kinmaera are relatively powerful with very good health and better accuracy than most kindred (making them stronger than Watermeat below) they are the best in terms of cost/benefit. Other less powerful kindred with good accuracy are Miasmal Terra, Dark Tama (moderately expensive and scarce being rig obtainable) and (normal) Kinmaera that is less powerful than its miasmal version but still good against Trees. (normal) Terra and Oats the goose are cheap lower tier Tree Killers with good accuracy.

Watermeat (cheap), Miasmal Cabochomp, Miasmal Wi-fi the Poodle and Miasmal Jinbei have outstanding attack but except for Watermeat, they are scarce, they used to be inexpensive.

Kindred like Chocolate Cow, Soldier Mouse, Pumpae (weak until after evolving/learning candy crash skill) and the rarer Ember the Spirited Fox are moderately good, obtainable in eggs, only the later is a bit expensive, all of them along with Fuego (Grant only) you can obtain for free in the Kindred Depot run by the generous Hiretsu Jiketsu or in other charities just make sure to follow their rules!

Miasmal chiclex, miasmal stoke, miasmal myotistrike and are well balanced between health and attack but they take longer to evolve/get strong.

Kindred obtainable through Rigs:

Those are more scarce and people could put really high price tags on them.

The ones with 5 stars or more from the list tend to be mostly from limited time rigs, meaning they are either currently Gcash obtainable or only obtainable via the MP (but they re-release them after months-years) and tend to have really high prices but not always as you could find some going for 200k-300k (Usually the most recent Kindred anounced in the banner). Teasqueak has been an exception because they have kept a regular supply of that kindred.

Affordable Kindred from rigs are usually those ranked 4 stars or lower from the list. Some can be obtained through non-Gcash Rigs available in Lake Kindred capsules. Notable examples are King Corgi, Dusky Florette, Excitable Sloth, Pombae (really scarce) and Fafnir hatchling (cheap but weak till' evolving).

Fafnir's hatchlings (Bahamut, Tiamat, Starlight, etc.) need a scarce Fafnir shard User Image to be spliced from a couple of level 10+ Fafnir User Image

How do Tree Killer Tiers compare
(Compares the middle kindred of each of Bazaar's tiers with the ones with Max Stats)
While all Tree and Viperex Killers can do their job, some are faster than others. The conclusion is that among the different 6+ Stars Tree Killers the functional differences are not much to justify those big gaps in prices, however it is convenient to invest in a 6+ stars if you fight against Viperexes and I recommend having at least one Tier 5 as your main.

The most problematic bosses are found in the last stages of Kindred Wilds, Milky Way and Miasmal Lake respectively: the Phantom Sycamorte (PS) Trees (17% Credit to Sinfulcraft in 100 battles), Watermeats (Wt) (10-15%) and Miasmal Viperex (3% Bazaar's in 100 battles) (MV)

For the rest (almost all) areas of the game, any Tree Killer does well except that lower tiers have less accuracy (4-1 Stars) and some (3-1 stars) can't 1H-KO normal kindred with a single magic attack.

H = Hit with the highest damaging skill, M = Magic Attack (Fastest attack in game better than melee)
sp = small heal potion bp = big heal potion

The Kindred with maximum stats (KMSs) (avg dmg 2295) don't struggle with the first two bosses but still require small potions an even a big one vs with M-Viperex, it takes them 4 to 5 Hits to deal with them. They can use 3 diamond plat finder amulets without a big trade-off for accuracy.

6 Stars (avg dmg 1669) have the Max health to withstand hits, compared with KMSs they require an extra Skill Hit for bosses and extra potions, it should take an extra 11-15 s per battle vs bosses or 2-3 min per 100 combats in the bosses' areas. Easy to get them to full accuracy if you find a 5% square amulet, could still be good with 3 plat finder amulets.

5 Stars (avg dmg 1275) Start to have variable health and 40% less attack than KMSs. They require extra 2 Skill Hits for bosses, the ones with lower health require more big potions while the ones with Max health can still use some small potions. They take 22-40 s extra with bosses 5 mins less each 100 battles. Easy to get them to full accuracy if you find a 5% square amulet, could still be good with 3 plat finder amulets. Watermeat and Moss Rock Puppy are exceptions, they struggle against MViperex for their low health and have only 90% accuracy.

4 Stars (avg dmg 1239) Deal similar damages to the previous tier but have a lot less health (50% less than KMS's), except for Sweet Filligris and MStoke others are not health-efficient against MViperex and can be killed by one of its hits. They require some small but mostly big potions after being hit. From this tier and downwards they mostly have 90% accuracy, which requires investment in accuracy amulets or losing extra seconds+heal potions.

3 Stars (avg dmg 1056) These kindred deal less than 50% the damage of KMS's and have about 50% of their health. Most require big potions similar to the last tier, most can't fight M-Viperexes and only a few have over 90% accuracy. In this tier a skill attack H could be required vs high health normal kindred instead of a Magic Attack.

2 Stars (avg dmg 860) With 60% less attack than KMS's and most of them 50% of their health or less they start to become ineffective against strong bosses requiring many big potions but they still can deal with normal Trees and Watermeats. They share the 90% acc and low Magic Attack.

1 Star (avg dmg 900) Similar to last Tier even if their damage is a lil' bit better it is 60% less than a KMS and their health is 60% less. None of them is good against a MViperex, they could get killed in 1 hit by Watermeats and Panthom Sycamortes in some cases, bad accuracy same as last tier 90%, low Magic Attack and consume many big potions. However they can still kill normal tress in 3-4 skill hits, even go against normal Viperexes if you get lucky.

Note on the Kin Order for battle
While mostly insignificant having your strongest/fully equipped kin at the bottom of the battle-list can save you less than a sec. However the order of Kindred in the battle list depends on the time you obtained the kindred. If you want to change the ordering you need to gift the kindred you want to see at the bottom to a mule account and receive it back.

Step 2: Using optimal Amulets

Amulets are useful for four main purposes: leveling up at the beginning, getting 100% accuracy, farming platinum or (with limited use) one hitting bosses.

The benefits of other properties like damage, resistance or health are minimal in efficiency farming since a powerful Tree Killer has enough health and does enough damage to kill bosses in a few hits which minimizes inflictment of status effects and usage of heal potions. For these reasons Red Accuracy (Square) and Plat finder (Diamond) amulets are the most worthwhile but also the most sought after and scarce. The main reason people buy green amulets is to alchemize (produce) red amulets, but they can be useful to increase accuracy and leveling up at the beginning.

Leveling up with Experience Amulets (optional)

If you decide to level up manually just for fun as it is currently not time efficient past the first level, amulets can give you a boost. (The next step explains why)

Green Experience Amulets. Use them when you are leveling a kindred to levels less than 10. Use 1 or 2 elemental % amulets (recommended: wood because Lake Kindred and Kindred Wilds areas have mostly wood enemies) combined with a circle neutral % experience amulet to get 2 extra points per battle. The % amount of the amulets does not matter. Green are better to use for the first few levels because they costs only 100p to unequip, less than Ally Potions.

Red Experience Amulets. If you decide to level a kindred over level 10 use them, past level 10 you'll start to see the stack effects of amulet percentages giving you 2-3+ extra points in battle vs level 10+ enemies, depending on how high the kindred levels you are fighting and the total percentage of the amulets. The disadvantage is that they are expensive to remove 500p (the costs of a potion) so the recommendation is to use them for really long grinding periods.

Experience amulets have diminishing returns: at the beginning they make leveling up 3-2 times faster but after the levels 9-10 it is only 24% faster. Here a list illustrating the situation with green amulets. (The list considers the optimal stage for a moderately strong kindred e.g. at lvl 5 farming stage 2 GaiaLabClosed lvls 2-5 but at lvl 6 Stage 1 KindredWilds lvls 4-6)

Points per stage on average = Ps + Amulet Points = Ap

Getting 100% accuracy with Square Accuracy Amulets

Using a kindred with Full accuracy with Square Amulets equipped when you fight strong bosses or farming capsules is really convenient, you will never miss a hit.

Most kindred have 90% accuracy while most 5+ Star Tree Killers have 95%. Meaning you lose on average 10-12 seconds per 10 attacks (10%) or per 20 attacks (5%). This translates into using an extra second each combat with a 90 acc Kin or 0.5 second per combat with a 95 acc Kin. Saving yourself a minute each 60-120 battles may not seem as much but it saves you a lot of frustration!

Remember the accuracy amulets are a percentage of your original accuracy and can show a different amount when they are used as a single amulet and when they sum according to the percentage of original accuracy and rounding up to one if they are 0.5+

A 95 acc kin requires a 5% accuracy amulet or 5% sum of amulet(s) to reach 100 acc.
A 90 acc kin requires a sum of 11% acc amulets to reach 100 acc. (90 * .11 = 9.9 rounds to 10)
A 87 acc kin requires a sum of 15% acc amulets to reach 100 acc (87 * .15 = 13)

Example of how 5% amulets will work.
A 95 acc kin will get 5 units from a 5% amulet (95 * 5% = 4.75 (rounds to 5))
A 90 acc Kin will get 5 units from a 5% amulet (90 * 5% = 4.5 (rounds to 4, sums as 4.5))
A 87 acc Kin will get 4 units from a 5% amulet (87 * 5% = 4.35 (rounds to 4, sums as 4.35 ))

So if you use 2 5% amulets.

On a 90 acc Kin you only get 99 acc (4.5 + 4.5 = 9)
On a 87 acc Kin you'd get 96 (4.35 + 4.35 = 8.7 rounds to 9 but sums as 8.7)

(Sidenote: it is probably me being unlucky but the rate of innacuracy has been a bit higher than suggested by the stat, I have miss 2 times in a row many times, weird sweatdrop )

Farming Platinum Diamond Amulets

If you want the best returns farming platinum in Kindred Wilds using 3 Rare diamond (7% ea.) plat finder amulets gives you an extra 21% (+4479p per 100 battles) and with 3 Legendary amulets (10% ea.) an extra 30% (+6400p per 100 battles). Or in terms of single tree combats you get 128/255p extra with red amulets and 182/365p extra with legendary amulets.

7 star Tree Killers and Sakura Pegacorn have the highest accuracy 99% and occuping fully their amulets to farm platinum is the best trade-off. For 5-6 star tree killers with 95% accuracy and 4 star or lower of 90% accuracy a combination of one or two accuracy amulets might save you some frustration but still having a platinum amulet while farming plat yileds better results even when you lose some seconds (translated into plat a loss of 7-8 plat/second with a 95 acc kin, a loss of 13-15 plat with a 90 acc kin) for missed hits (a 7% plat amulet gives you aprox 25 extra plat/second)

(Sidenote: it is probably me being unlucky but the rate of innacuracy has been a bit higher than suggested by the stat, I have miss 2 times in a row many times, weird sweatdrop )

One Hitting Bosses Damage Amulets

Damage amulets are only optimal in a few boss stages assuming you have rare or legendary amulets. In the spoiler I considered the Kindred with Max Stats (KMS's = Neph/Bijou/Tianlong), in stages where it is more convenient for them to use damage amulets but weaker kindred have good trade-offs vs other bosses mostly farming in Castor/Sandman Stages.

When farming Hephaestus Peak's Space eggs from a Cosmos boss and in rare cases vs a Ranger Castor having a KMS With max damage amulets (21%) can save you some seconds. I estimate 1h-KOing Cosmos can save you 1 min or more each 100 combats. In the case of Watermeat you get 1H-KO in rare cases but you are better off using plat amulets in that stage.

Here is the range of damages of higher tier kin of a bell curve, the min, the median and the highest attacks increased by amulets and min, median, highest health of Watermeat and Cosmos. (Castor rare cases of high levels that require 2H-KO's are 1750-1800 hp, a single red amulet is enough to 1H-KO them)

Red Amulets +21% dmg__2287 2777 3267

Watermeat_____________3150 3300 3450

Cosmos_______________ 2400 2650 2900

Legendary amulets are really hard to obtain but they are optimal in the last Milky Way stage, I stimate they save you up 1-2 mins each 100 combats (better than using plat amulets). And up to 2-3 mins per 100 combats vs a Cosmos.

White Amulets +30% dmg 2457 2984 3510

Watermeat_____________3150 3300 3450

Other stages have either weaker bosses or give better rewards using platinum amulets so benefits of damage amulets are very limited. There is the bragging rights aspect of having a powerhouse as well.

Step 3 Goal 2 Leveling up your Kindred.

Nowadays thanks to the abundance of Chirpette bundles the best option is to buy Ally potions or Chirpette bundles that contain them and level up your kindred from 1 to 50 with them. The costs of Chirpette bundles tends to be lower (especially using the offer system) than the time and effort of buying Ally potions (Current price rounds 500p ea). More profitable activities like bumping a forum thread (you can get 1000+ per min bumping with loren ipsums) or farming in zOmg or Lake Kindred (If you already have a strong enough Kin) generate more money and save you more time than what you would spent leveling up a kindred manually. (The exception is using amulets on just the first level)

But if you don't want to miss on the fun process of manual grind I recommend just leveling the first few levels and using potions for later levels as after level 15 it can take more than an hour to level up.

My classification system and strategies.
I classify the Kindred with their strength (health+damage) and grind them up to a certain point accordingly.

Very Strong. Kindred with ultimate stats that tend to get 15 or 20 points of damage and 20-30 health points. Those can fight kindred several levels above their own. They tend to be 6-7 Stars Tree Killers. They can go to stages with kindred that double their levels for example at level 25 Emotion Water Potion could farm in the last stage Gaia Lab closed (lvls 35-50).

The Strat for them is fighting Kindred 30%+ higher levels than their own they can consistently 1H-KO, the exp points difference makes up for the first hit those kin receive.

Strong. Kindred with high health/attack. They are in the range of 11-13 damage points, and 10-15 health points per level. They tend to be 4-5 stars Tree Killers. They can fight kindred some levels stronger than them.

Strat: fight in areas that are slightly above in level range where they can still 1H-KO kindred. E.g. at level 7 grind in Gaia Lab stage 3, levels 6-10.

Moderately Strong. They are in the range of 9-10 damage points (arguably one with 7-8 damage but an early strong skill like Vulcarus could fit here) and 10-12+ health points per level. 3 Stars or lower Tree Killers can fit in this range. They can perfectly fight enemies of their own level and few levels above them.

Strat, same as with strong, but with less freedom to fight kins above their level. Better fighting in their range or just 1 or 2 levels above, preferable Lake Kindred/Kindred Wilds.

Barely Strong. They get 7 or 8 damage and 10+ health points. Kindred with low health but good damage like Miasmal Golbie +12 damage 3 health points fit here. They aren't Tree Killers with rare exceptions like Shadow Grunny and if they are they are slow. They can win against some kindred of their own level in particular the Kindred from Lake Kindred and Kindred Wilds could still be 1H-KO'ed.

Strat. Level them up exclusively in the straightforward Lake Kindred/Kindred Wilds in stages equal to their level or 1 level above. Use a Singe Potion in case of fighting bulky Kindred.

Weak. 6 or less damage or less than 10 heath are not fit for battling kin with levels equaling their own. They are not Tree Killers with very few exceptions like evolving kin like Pumpae or Shadow Grunny.

Strat. Level them up in Lake Kindred in stages with a couple of levels below their own, use experience amulets and singe potions. It is up to you to continue in Kindred wilds past level 5-6 but it is costly time/potion-wise.

Any weak kindred could be leveled on the first areas of Lake Kindred and maybe first 2-3 areas of Kindred Wilds but it takes too much time at that point.

Moderately/Barely Strong Kin can 1H-KO kindred of their own level in Lake Kindred and Kindred Wilds, some (not all) will be able to kill Kindred of their own level in other stages.

In the case of strong kindred if they can 1H-KO an opponent 33%+ of its own level they would be better in a higher lvl stage. A Battle takes 13-14s (with some extra time for captchas/transitions makes it 15s in avg), The enemy first hit is an extra of 3-4s.

Road Map of efficient Levels, with an example for a moderately/barely strong User Image and a strong/very strong kin User Image

Green Stage with weaker enemies and higher levels. Yellow Stage with higher level enemies but not the lowest health or containing a Boss (Avoid unless you have a high level Kin). Red Stage with one or more levels lower than the optimal stages.

Step 4, Goal 3 Level up your trainer level

You need to level up your trainer level to unlock all the different Stages.

The most profitable levels unlock at level 20 (Kindred Wilds Stage 5) and 21 (Milky Way, Land of Sweets Stage 5) being the last stages to unlock.

You also get some high platinum rewards leveling up, you get 68.4k in total platinum plus some ally and skill plus potions that amount to 80k+, the better platinum rewards are on the last levels giving you 6.5k. Bazaar's complete reward list.

Strategies.
You can buy Skill plus 200% potions. They increase almost 2 levels and are currently sold for 500p. You spend less in potions than the rewards granted (less than 30k for all the potions needed). You could also farm them from Kindred Wilds/Miasmal Lake Stage 5. It is efficient to buy them to reach level 21 quick after you have leveled a handful of levels, you will get plenty of potions later if you play the game. After level 21 is up to you to patiently farm or buy the potions as you can get back the money or potions spending your time in the game.

If you decide to grind levels up for fun, the first 10-25 stages will not take much time to level them up normally vs high level kindred; you can follow the road map to level up your kindred or alternatively buy a level 50 kindred and level up in Fafnir Peak Stage 5 (lvls 26-50) unlocked at level 5, until you unlock Gaia Lab Closed Stage 5 (Lvls 35-50) at level 15. After level 20-25 farming for potions in Kindred Wilds/Miasmal Lake is more convenient, other stages can drop the potions but those (especially Kindred Wilds) have a higher rate.

Step 5, Goal 4 pick a profitable plat to farm, get rich!

There are 2 main profitable activities: farming platinum, farming rigs, capsules/watermelon patches.

Each has advantages and disadvantages. While farming platinum requires less time and effort the most profitable activities are farming watermelon patches and farming/opening Milky Way capsules for their good drop rate of high ticket items that can arguably make up for the extra effort. The other main disadvantages of capsules related to the marketplace is the lack of liquidity as items can take weeks (even months) to sell and the price fluctuations since Rigs/Items are subject to MP ever changing prices. For some having a variety of items can make it all worth it while for others having a clogged inventory will not.

Currently opening capsules in a bulk is a lot better than selling them for their low MP prices. The only case for selling them closed is just having a few of them when the chance of a high ticket item is too low. Usually you can get a high ticket item (10k+) with 30+ capsules. Watermelon Patches require being opened in large quantities as well to obtain a decent priced kindred like Sakura Pegacorn Fluff or Surprise Bundlemas.

Pros and Cons of Farming plat and Capsules/Watermelon patches in bullet points

PLAT Pros
-Fast plat obtainment In KW 21k, (Raw plat) 25k, 653 p/m (plat+caps) and 789.6p/m (plat+open caps+drops) in 35-38 mins, increased to 897 p/m with perfect rare plat finder amulets
-Decent plat obtainment in MLk 21k 624.5 p/m (plat+caps) and over 600p/m (plat+open caps+drops) with good rigs like Eye of Viperex and Eye of M-Viperex
-Constant cashflow as it is not subject to price changes
-The items of this stages like Trees seeds, Ally Plus or Skill Plus are extremely liquid.
PLAT Cons
-Low Capsule drops 9-10% in KW 15-18% in MLk
-Requires scarce Rare/Legendary find plat amulets to boost profits and close the gap with capsule farming.
-More than half of the profits of MLk are from capsules and they have sometimes very low prices
-High priced powerful Kindred are required to kill Viperex faster
-There is a platinum cap, but it is lifted after an hour or less if you stop getting plat right when it triggers. You can change to another account or farm capsules as the minimal plat drops of 60p doesn't seem to affect the cap time that much.

CAPS/WATERMELONS
CAPS pros
-Best profits 67k 1289 p/m and 24k 973 p/m. They come from good items worth over 10k and very good items over 25k
-Rare items over 100k
-Small chances of getting Kindred or Splicing Shards
-Best way to grow inventory
-Closed capsules have very high liquidity
CAPS cons
-Requires effort (+extra time) to list and re-list items on the MP
-Requires luck. High amount of capsules 30-50 are required to obtain some good items but profits are not guaranteed.
-Not a constant cash flow as items can take weeks or months to be sold
-Many low worth items can clog the inventory

Kindred Wilds (KW) first and Miasmal Lake (MLk) Stage 5 are the best places to farm platinum. The averages from 500 battles in KW are 897.3 plat per minute (p/m) using 3 red plat find amulets and in MLk 638 p/m. (However I got lucky with a extremely expensive item that boosted the gains of that stage to 1705 p/m. Normally you'd get close results to 638 p/m)

The best places to farm for Capsules are Milky Way (MW) 1289.3 p/m and Land of Sweets (LoS) 877.7 p/m. Farming Watermelon patches along with cheap rigs can be profitable as well ONLY if the Patches are sold for over 1.5k, I farmed when there were 2k getting 973.6 p/m, it occurs in Miasmal Lake Stages 3 and 4, data by marriageyawanna suggest that stage 3 is slightly more profitable.

Other places to farm capsules tend to be less profitable since they drop 30% to 50% less than in the other stages. However despite lower chances for high ticket items, some Rigs tend to contain more expensive items and some stages contain valuable drops like Chaos Seeds/Halloween Kandy-Gaia Lab Open, Halloween Kandy-Gaia Lab Open, What's the Manner-Bunny Planet. Getting a good item 10k+ (Like I did in Hephaestus Peak) makes the profit of farming there comparable to other areas but such a result is less consistent.

Conclusions:

While there will be no definitive answer on the best place to farm due the price variability in the Market Place we can say there is a good drop rate percentage of pricey items in the Capsules and Watermelon Patches making areas like Milky Way and Miasmal Lake Stages 3-4 really profitable (1280.3 and 973.6 p/m ) Really good items of more than 100k make those runs more than worth it (Max win got as high as getting 6112 p/m In MLk). Selling closed capsules is not as profitable but it is an option if you only have a few (On one instance I could have gotten 8k p selling MLk caps vs only getting 3k when opened).

However due to the effort and delayed profits there is still a case for farming platinum, specially by using amulets as the gap is not as big and profits are consistent and similar to other areas (KW 897.3 p/m vs LoS 877.7 p/m).

Other areas seem less profitable for their lower Capsule drop rates yet some stages include good rigs like 'what's the manner' and can contain less sold, more pricey items, making it possible to generate profits similar to the other profitable options when you are lucky but that is not consistent (Lucky in Hephaestus Peak 935.3 p/m vs Unlucky in Gaia Lab Open 340.6 p/m)

Notes on how I came up with calculations:

To be able to do comparisons I had to record the different earnings the time and calculate how much profit I got per minute. However since some profits proceed from selling subject to the laws of demand and supply it will always be just a model with limitations in which I also made some assumptions (like not selling/counting all the items) which increase its error margin:

1) I expected all of my items to be "sold" at the current minimum buying price and not the ABP so that was my baseline for items. I measured with a stopwatch all the time spent on the MP researching and comparing prices before listing. I'm not counting re-selling times but normally I'd have to do that for between 10-30% of the items.

2) I measured the time I took me to list items but not rigs or capsules, the reason: selling capsules or rigs tends to take little time if you have a buyer and just sent them the trade, they are also very liquid items.

3) The most controversial decision was to not to count the MP Tax. This definitely makes profit from capsules lower even if it is not by much. The idea was in part to account for low price items I didn't sell.

4) I didn't sell low priced items below 800 plat to save myself some effort and because they can be really hard to sell if there is stiff competition.

5) I rounded prices a lot.

Regarding the calculations of time for Leveling I assumed:

1) Each combat takes 15 s, which is a bit more than the 13s-14s it normally takes because of the captcha and change between areas/use of stamina potions. (18 s to calculate strong Kin fighting an enemy above their level that has a first hit on them)

2) You do all the combats without any idle time between them, which is usually hard, it's pretty easy to get distracted with someting else playing Lake Kindred.

3) The kindred have a complete set of experience amulets for the different stages always getting 2 extra experience points.

For damage related things like 1H-KO's or how many hits a M-Viperex takes I used the average damage of the kins.

Step 1, Pick an efficient Kin for farming

Lake Kindred is a simple game consisting of a repetitive combat system and does not require much strategy or knowledge. The best kindred are the most powerful and efficient, they win combats easily and fast, winning by a single hit. (1 Hit-KO) and taking less time against bosses. They are well identified and known as Tree Killers because they are able to farm against the Sycamorte Tree boss of Kindred Wilds (Stage 5), the most profitable for platinum farming.

This list of Tree Killers by Bazaar is an important resource when searching a good Kin. They are classified into 7 tiers using stars.

I recommend at least one 5 star Kindred from the list because they are able to farm in all areas of the game and have good accuracy. Nonetheless all Tree Killers do their job and are able to farm in most areas of the game, the difference is the time they take.

Specific recommendations
>The best cost-benefit options are cheap 5 star tree killers, currently Miasmal Kinmaera, Sakura Pegacorn Puff and Teasqueak tend to be the most affordable.
> Higher Tiers are from temporary Gcash rigs. In the MP there can be good deals of less than 300k but they are expensive. Usually the one seen in Gaia's banner has a lower price as it is available to obtain with money.
> 6 and 7 stars have just small differences in terms of Damage but not in Health. The big gap in price does not have much practical justification as the advantages 7 stars provide are small: saving you from using 1 or 2 potions occasionally translated in saving you a couple of minutes each 100 battles in some areas.
> 4 Stars and lower tend to be affordable, but some are scarce. They come from rigs obtainable in-game and the dragons Fafnirs from Splicing (Bazaar).
> You can find lower tier tree killers like Miasmal Chiclex, Kinmaera or Pumpae for free in charities like Kindred Depot and Red Corpse's just follow their rules.
> You can get 35-40K on average by doing all the daily rewards (Guide By me) to afford a good kindred after 1 or 2 days of saving an one very good kindred after a week or so.

What classifies a Kindred as a Tree Killer are the damage of its strongest skill (800 or +) and health (600 or +). Damage, health and accuracy are the most important stats. Only Kindred with the most damage (+ than 900) and health (+ than 1000) can deal with the strongest boss of the game, Viperex. List of Viperex Killers (Bazaar)

Comparison between Tree Killer Tiers
>The differences between 7 Stars and 6 Stars are not considerable many have the same Max Health and the damage difference translates in saving you a few minutes each 100 battles in stages with Bosses.
> Tree Killers 5 stars or + are able to farm anywhere and defeat Viperex/MViperex, most of them have 95% accuracy, high health (1000-1485), and high damage in their strongest skill (1000-1800). However 5 Stars spend more health potions and take more turns vs Viperex. Only few 5 stars are affordable.
> Tree Killles 4 stars of lower tend to have avg accuracy 90%, lower health (800 or less) but decent damage in their strongest skill (800-1000-1200). They can farm with ease in most areas of the game except the Viperex stage Miasmal Lake Stage 5 (you can try escaping combats with them as it is not a frequent boss). Some high health common kindred require using a skill instead of a magic attack to 1H-KO them

Combat Tactics and Potions
>The strongest attack is magic use it for most kindred since the magic bar regenerates each combat and hardly depletes.
> Against bosses there is one Skill that you need to know and its the Kindred most powerful skill, found in this list (Bazaar). Although most skill are stronger than magic for Tree Killers with high damage the most efficient that you should spam is the strongest one.
> When you can't 1H-KO a kindred at a lower level you can use a singe potion before attacking to help you win faster.
> Health potions are used for stronger kindred, mainly boss battles, the highest the original health of your kindred the most efficient the potion.
> You need to asses the damage of bosses to decide using a small or a large health potion, the strongest attack of important high lvl bosses are: Panthom Sycamorte (600 or +), Watermeat (2 Miasmal Viperex (900 or +)
> Vs Viperex - High Tier Tree Killers require a couple of small potions and maybe one big. Middle Tiers require some Small and 1 Big or more and Lower Tiers either are too low health to withstand Viperex attacks or require several Big potions.
>Stamina potions are cheap and considering Tree Killers tend to have a lot of Stamina you could have a just one Kin in your party and farm hours with it.

Step 2, Optimize Amulets

(This step could be skipped to a later step)

Amulets serve 3 main purposes in efficiency, leveling up for fun, getting 100% accuracy, increasing the platinum rewards in the few profitable areas. However lower tier kindred may benefit from the other amulets effects situationally. Beginners should focus on acquiring accuracy amulets since they are the most useful overall.

Guide of amulets and adjusting slots (Bazaar)

1) Leveling up in combats for fun with experience amulets (1 Circle neutral + 2 of any shape-element)
Leveling normally is not efficient after the first level since level up Ally potions are inexpensive (Info on the next step) but experience amulets help you level up faster.

Green experience amulets should be used for the first 8-10 levels as they are inexpensive to unequip and have the same effect of red amulets at low levels. The % number doesn't matter at this point. You can receive up to 2 experience points with 2 green amulets equipped, 1 point from a circle neutral amulet + 1 point from a elemental experience amulet that match the kindred you are defeating. Preferably use a Wood element amulet and level up in Lake Kindred and Kindred Wilds since the majority of enemies share that element.

Red experience amulets should be used when planning to level up a kindred past level 9-10. They start taking effect with enemies of levels 8-10 and the amulets percentages stack, the cost to unequip them (500 p) is similar to one ally plus potion. A good combination of neutral + elemntal circle amulets can give 25% or more, if you use pure elemental amulets the max percentage would be 21%.

2) Increasing Accuracy to never miss a hit (Square amulets)
Increasing Accuracy are the be the best option for non platinum farming stages (the majority). They save you about 1 min or + if you kin had 95 acc and 2 mins or + if you Kin had 90 acc each 100 combats, prevent you from consuming health potions and a avoiding a lot of frustration. They are scarce in the MP

Amulets work with a percentage of the original accuracy Kindred with 95 accuracy require 1 or 2 amulets that sum 5% but Kindred with 90 accuracy require at least 2 or 3 amulets that sum 11%.

3) Increase Platinum rewards in plat farming stages (Diamond amulets)
Platinum increasing amulets are rare in the MP, they don't have much use outside plat farming stages.

They work the best in the stages Kindred Wilds Stage 5 (3 Diamond reds of 7% each increase on avg the plat rewards by 4.5k per 100 battles) and Miasmal Lake Stage 5 (3 Diamond red of 7% each, increasing 1.7k per 100 battles).

Stages like Land of Sweet and Kindred Wilds give about 100 p extra per 100 battles using 3 Diamond reds of 7%. Kindred Wilds stage 4 benefits as well but it is not a profitable area to farm.

Kin that benefit the most with Diamond amulets are kindred with high accuracy Like Tianlong and Sakura Pegacorn Fluff

Basically just 2 stages benefit considerable more to justify using plat increasing amulets, in those using a platinum amulet is in theory slightly more efficient than using an accuracy amulet for profit but it's not a huge difference.

Other Amulet effects
The effects of Damage, Life and Resistance provide very limited benefit for Tree Killer who already have high stats but for lower tiers they they can be useful in some situations. Stamina amulets are the less useful.

Damage Square Amulets help Kin 1H-KO bosses, high tier Tree Killer are either not able to 1H-KO strong bosses or receive more benefit from having full platinum amulets. Example: Using damage amulets on 6 Star Tree Killer get them to have more 1H-KO's vs Sandman Rose and Castor bosses. The only rare case where damage amulets are slightly more efficient on a very profitable stage is when you use legendary amulets on the kindred with maximum stats to 1H-KO Watermeats.

Life Circle Amulets help weaker Kin withstand bosses' attacks. Examples: A Watermeat will benefit a lot from a life increase amulet against higher levels of Phantom Sycamorte Trees that deal 600 or + damage. A Miasmal Terra and Many T4 Kindred of over 800 health will be able to deal with high level Viperex that deal 900 or + damage.

Resistance Circle Amulets help Kin avoid status effects, they are not as useful for Kins that can 1H-KO or 2H-KO the bosses but benefit may others a lot. Example: A Sakura Pegacorn or Miasmal Kinmaera will benefit a lot by never being put to sleep vs a Watermeat Boss and never getting poisoned vs Sycamorte Trees.

Strategies:
Red Amulets are hard to come by, especially red platinum amulets, people use alchemy to transform 20 platinum amulets into a rare amulet of random properties.

Accuracy amulets are the best for Kin in most parts of the game, the exception are the platinum farming stages Kindred Wilds and Miasmal Lake. For this you can dedicate one Kindred to exclusively carry plat amulets to farm in plat farming stages, preferably one with high accuracy.

Using an accuracy amulet on 90-95 acc Kins over a platinum finder amulet in a plat farming stage is just slightly worse but the difference isn't significant.

Step 3, Level your Kindred up

Nowadays the best strategy is to buy your way to the top since Ally Plus potions are cheap and widely available, leveling up normally past the first level is not efficient since activities like Bumping the forums (~1.3k p per minute) Playing Pinball (~1k p per minute) or Playing zOmg or farming in Lake Kindred (~800 p to 1.3k per minute) can give you enough to buy a Chirpette Bundle of 4k-5k containing 10 Ally potions in a few minutes.

But if you decide to do it for fun, here are some strategies:
Have experience amulets equipped (info on Step 3), a circle neutral experience amulet combined with any elemental amulet is the best combination to level up. Preferably use a wood amulet and farm in Lake Kindred and Kindred Wild areas the first 10 levels as they are straighforward and most enemies are wood element.

High Tier Tree Killers can win combats against enemies 3-5 levels above their level in the first levels and after level 10 win vs Kin 10, 20 or even 25-30 levels above them. You should choose higher stages of over 30-40% the level of your Kin if it can 1H-KO enemies consistently.

Low Tier Tree Killers will be able to win combats against kindred of their own level and a couple of levels higher. Use them in stages close to their level or maybe a couple of levels higher but not too high that they can't 1H-KO.

Some Stages are less efficient than others because their lower level is an "odd number" or they contain a boss. Road map of most efficient stages including an example of how a high and a low Tree Killer would be level efficiently on different stages

Step 4, Level up your Trainer Level

To unlock all stages including the most profitable ones you need to increase your own trainer level at least to level 21 when the last and most profitable capsule farming stages open (5th stages of Milky Way and Land of Sweets).

At any point but preferably after the first 10-20 levels you can just buy and use 100% and 200% Skill Plus potions. The cost of the potions can be covered by the rewards, 200% Potions tend to cost 500 p and on average you gain 684 p per level, (cost is less than 30k for all the potions needed)

You can continue leveling up to 100 as you get profitable rewards. In total you should get 68.4k. If w combine platinum with items that would increase the the reward amount to ~80k. Complete list of rewards (Bazaar)

Strategy if you want to level up without potions for fun.
To level up normally the best is having a level 50 kindred and level up in Fafnir Peak Stage 5 (lvls 26-50) unlocked at level 5, until you unlock Gaia Lab Closed Stage 5 (Lvls 35-50) at level 15.

After level 20-25 farming for potions in Kindred Wilds is more convenient, other stages can drop the potions Kindred Wilds has a high rate of Skill Plus drop and other additional rewards.

Step 5 Pick a profitable area to farm and get rich!

After picking a strong Tree Killer, leveling it to lvl 40-50 and getting your trainer level up to lvl 21 you will be able to farm anywhere but there are only 4 stages that are the most profitable for either the high amount of platinum they yield (Kindred Wilds/Miasmal Lake) or the high capsule drop rate they have (Milky Way/Land of Sweets 50-60% capsule drop rates) I compared these stages and made statistics with the result of 500 combats in each.

The 2 main profitable activities of these 4 stages are: Farming platinum and Farming Capsules. Both have pros and cons, mainly that farming platinum is immediate and involves less effort and luck, while farming for capsules can be 30% or more profitable but requires effort to list items and they can take weeks or months to sell. What makes an impact in capsule farming is its high ticket item (10k +) rates. Farming Caps also helps you build your inventory but clogs it with low value items.

Lastly opening the capsules to sell their items tends to be more profitable than selling closed caps when opened in a bunch (preferably more than 30) so you obtain one or two decently priced items. Only if you have less than 20 caps that don't plan to open or need money fast you should sell them closed. Closed caps are among the most liquid items.

Comparison of the stages in 100 battles including price of other drops and time listing items:

Kindred Wilds (KW) is the best Stage to farm for platinum - 790 plat per minute
Miasmal Lake (MLk) is the 2nd best - 624 plat per min About half of its profits are from capsules an rig drops
*3rd best stage is Kindred Wilds Stage 4 but it's just inferior to Stage 5

Milky Way (MW) is the best to farm for capsules - 1289 plat per minute
Land of Sweets (LoS) is the 2nd best - 878 plat per minute
*Maybe 3rd best spot could go to Miasmal Lake Stages 3-4 where you could farm the rig "Watermelon Patch" but its price drop a lot.

Comparisons of plat per minute and total plat of the averages:

Stage| Plat / min
MW _|1289.3 (Open caps)
KW__| 789.6 (Open caps)
LoS__| 877.7 (Open Caps)
MLk__| 624.5 (Closed Caps)

Stage| Total Plat
MW_.| 67042.6 (Open Caps)
LoS_.| 41779.6 (Open Caps)
KW__| 32849 (Open Caps)
MLk_| 21482.8 (Closed Caps)

Other areas to farm capsules
Other places tend to be less profitable since they drop 30% to 50% less than in the other stages. However despite lower chances for high ticket items, some Rigs tend to contain more expensive items and some stages contain valuable drops like Chaos Seeds/Halloween Kandy in Gaia Lab Open, What's the Manner in Bunny Planet, Hephaestus Peak has the mysterious Space egg but its price is not worth it. Getting a good item of over 10k p like I did in 100 battles on Hephaestus Peak makes the profit of farming there comparable to other areas (935.3 plat per min) but such a result is less consistent and you can get bad results like I did in 100 battles on Gaia Lab (Closed) only 340.56 plat per minute

What are the best Kindred?/What Kindred you recommend/fits my budget?

The so called "Tree Killers" are the best Kindred in the game here is a list with different tiers. Tiers above 5 stars have optimal health and accuracy. Most of them come from temporary Rigs and are expensive (from 250k to 1M), (Exceptions: Miasmal Kinmaera, Sakura Pegacorn, Teasqueak). You can find good deals in some of them. Consider you can get 40k from all your dailies (Guide!) and that there are very small differences between 6 stars and 7 stars (top tier) which renders not very significant benefits, so functionally is not worth to pay millions for top tiers/original color kindred.

The top Tiers of Tree Killers and some high health lower tiers can deal with the strongest boss of the game and are also called Viperex Killers list.

Kindred 4 Stars or lower tend to be affordable and work for most areas of the game but are sub-optimal in terms of opportunity-cost because they take the space of a better 5+ stars alternative, they struggle vs the boss Viperex for their low health and require more accuracy amulets to have similar efficiency to 5 stars but pretty decent alternatives exist. (Eg. Watermeat, Miasmal Terra, (normal) Kinmaera).

You'd only need a single good Kindred to reap benefits of the game stamina potions are abundant and cheap. With 2 Kin or more you save up on stamina potions.

What is the best way to earn money?/best places to farm?

There exist 2 main ways to earn money, farming plat from Tree and Viperex Killing (Stages 5 of Kindred Wilds) and farming capsules in the most profitable stages (Stages 5 of Land of Sweets, Milky Way). Other stages offer lower results but can compensate that with unique drops, (eg. Miasmal Lake Stage 3-4 drops valuable Watermelon Patches, Bunny Planet drops ‘what’s the manner’, Gaia Lab Open drops Jack’s seeds + Kandy.)

The main differences are that plat farming gives you instant liquidity (608-1216 most times you kill the Tree Boss can be higher with Viperex), And selling items from capsules involves luck, requires more time commitment and effort to list-relist the items, it's dependent of the prices in the MP and can build up (and clog) your inventory but research suggest it yields higher profits (about 30% compared results of 500 battles mid-2024).

Capsules are among the most liquid items but selling them unopened is rarely worth it because of their chance of dropping high ticket items of 10k +. It is still an option when you have just a few of them (less than 30).

Further information in the last section of the efficiency guide.

What is the plat cap/how the plat cap works/why am I getting less money?

Gaia has a mechanism to limit the amount of plat you earn yielding diminishing returns once you trigger it until you earn only 1 plat from anything. What triggers it is a combination of how fast you earn plat and a certain amount higher than 12k. You can experiment triggering it yourself if you use a pc and earn the pinball reward + your dailies in a fast way.

To solve it you need to stop earning plat as soon as possible and the results should go back to normal after half an hour to an hour depending on how much you kept playing. Alternatives to circumvent it is using an alt account or switching from plat to capsule farming, earning just 1 plat occasionally doesn’t seem to affect the waiting period.

What does the Trainer Level do, how do I unlock stages?

The trainer Level unlocks stages; the last ones to open are Land of Sweets and Milky Way 5 and at level 21. It also gives you rewards. Complete reward list.

Best way to level up kindred?

Use potions as they are cheap and abundant. Leveling up manually is not worth it time/money-wise. You can earn enough for a potion with 5 lorem ipsum bumps in the forums rather than fighting more than 10 battles. Cheapest way to obtain them is through Chirpette bundles.

To level up kindred manually fun the best combination is using a circle amulet of neutral experience with 1 or more elemental amulets (preferably wood for Lake Kindred/Kindred Wilds enemies).

How to use amulets (efficiently)?

First of all make sure you have all 3 available slots by using roll all potions and then you have the slot shape you want by using roll 1 potions. Check how to have the slots you want here. Basic info here.

Amulets boost your outcomes, saving you valuable minutes each play session. They serve 2 main functions: Increasing accuracy (Square amulets), Increasing platinum earned (Diamond Amulets).

With accuracy amulets your kindred never misses a hit which saves you frustration and translates in saving you a couple of minutes each 100 combats, they are the most useful overall.

Platinum amulets only work well in the 2 most profitable plat farming stages, a fully equipped kindred can get 20% more plat, which is even more efficient than equipping a square amulet in plat stages.

Further information of other uses in the amulet section of the efficiency guide. Guide on crafting and percentages here.

What are the best charities?

The Kindred Depot and The Red Corpse charity are the most generous and active charities. Uthen and Lovers have Kins for adoption as well.

What is splicing/How splicing works/How to obtain splicing shards?

Only a few Kindred are spliceable, it is like breeding, you get a baby from a mom and a dad (Solar/Lunar lvl 10 Kindred), when you use a splicing shard. The resulting baby Kin is different from their parents and no longer spliceable. Full info of Splicing here List of spliceable Kin here. Where to find splicing shards here.
